We did not know this place existed until we saw the ad in the paper. We went in and was greeted by a very friendly employee. We shopped around the store and found everything we needed. They were out of one item we wanted but were able to get a rain check, so it worked out. The store was clean and organized and the employees were friendly so, we will be back

Excellent turn around! Where this store is at compared to just a few weeks ago is incredibly different! With the new manager In charge, there is a big change in the appearance and organization throughout the entire store! Much better consumer service and can feel a different vibe within this store. Highly recommend coming here for all farm and backyard needs!Updated 12/3/2018 :The outside has improved tremendously! It was a little overcrowded a few months ago, but now looks sharp and organized! I went through the outside inventory and was able to see what I needed and walk to it with ease! Looks great now!

Got the last bag of dog food I needed. Splurged on some beef jerky. Didnt need it but tasted really good.

Went there for an outside thermometer for my deck and was amazed by the selection got a nice one for a really good price

I absolutely love my 8 ft windmill I got from them. It was a little confusing putting it together. The directions werent the easiest to figure out but it looks great now that its done.

This has been my go to place for bird food for the last 6 years. Ive also found good deals on Berne winter wear. They used to have sales on .22 ammo before it all got crazy! :)

This is a great place to go for feed or supplies. The customer service is usually great, although sometimes some of the younger staff seem confused about what were asking for, and not as knowledgeable. The prices are great though, and we prefer this place for some of our pet supplies.

Always a great place to shop and the prices on feed are the lowest around!

Orschelns is allllways great.

Great customer service but most things are well overpriced. Dome items are worth checking on. For instance, Herculiner truck bed liner is $79 a gallon, minimum, anywhere you look including online. Here you can get a gallon for $69. A big savings because I needed 5 gallons. 🙂

You can not find anyone to help you..very sad way to operate a business. I dont see very many customers in the store anymore either. There are many more farm stores that do believe in customer care..dont waste youre time and money here. I wont be back.

I specially called in advance asking if they had hay because everywhere else is sold out. I sat on hold just so the lady could go check. After being told they had plenty of hay I drove the 30 miles to pick it up. The lady took me directly to the horse shavings. I said “uh, that’s bedding” she said “oh, && pointed to the straw && said oh there it is” with a confused look on my face I said that’s also not HAY, it’s straw. I just think maybe the employees should be more educated on what they are selling rather than wasting people’s time. I’ll never return.

Got a great deal on some good jeans on sale.

The chicks has pasted vents, and some of them had collected a lot of poop. A good majority of the Production Reds had this condition, and it was obvious that they werent being taken care of. I dont want to buy sick chicks, and its sad to see so many chicks going to die out of negligence.

Everyone on our farm only ever steps foot in this establishment when they absolutely HAVE to pick something up for our livestock ASAP. Ive had the very worst customer service experience ever in this store.Our cashier called for help at the register because he didnt know how to do something. Associate who responded (after several minutes) was degrading and rude to our cashier, didnt show him how to do what we needed done, and walked off. We got out the door and realized shed done thr wrong thing and overcharged us so we went back in. This time our cashier called for help again and the MANAGER responded, yelled at the cashier that he should know how to do his d*** job by now, and did our price adjustment without teaching the cashier how to do it himself.I refuse to spend my money in a place where management treats their staff this way unless the health or safety of my animals is on the line.

Manager and staff member were rude and snotty to one their co-workers. There was an issue with a SKU number not ringing up correctly at the register. Was coming up as a completely different item. Person working the register asked for assistance on the walkie and Barb responded and you could hear the frustration and attitude in her response. Another co-worker came to register and was able to get things sorted out but, as she left, she flung and spun the paper back at the girl working the register in a rude and dismissive way. Whether or not the person working the register did something incorrectly, I dont know one way or another, there is no need for this kind of behavior. Especially with customers present.

They helped me load a wood stove into the backseat of my Prius, so I thought that was pretty neat.

Very unfriendly people in this store. Usually shop in the Ottawa store stopped in because that is where we were. Have farm account tax exempt use in Ottawa store all the time. Told me it did transfer from store to store. The major told me it took a lot of paper work in the back of the store and he did not have time to do it. I will never go back.

Customer service has much room for improvement, there are new employees here every time I go in and they cant seem to keep good help. Tractor Supply always has familiar faces and they are much more helpful and friendly than the people at Orchelns. Many of the products I have gotten at Orscheln have been inferior quality: a feed scoop that the handle broke off the 2nd day I used it, red landscaping mulch with pieces of garbage, painted wood, plywood, etc in it, feed that was moldy and rotten and made my animals sick. I have made the mistake for the sake of convenience to go here one too many times and will go out of my way to go to TSC from now on.

I bought gloves that apparently werent in the system. And spent about 20 minutes waiting for them to bring them back to the front. Finally a very nice lady went and checked and brought it back immediately.

Staff is helpful and I find the items I need.

Cashier was rude and false advertising make sure you read that extra small print on the sale items!!! Wont spend anymore of my money in this store.

Great old school farm store

Staff is surley and store is really stinky with chemical fumes from fertilizers. Makes my eyes water and activates allergies. I only come here because it is the only place to get chicken feed in my area.
