The customer service was GREAT! There was a guy that was friendly and knowledgeable, but I was disappointed in the cupcakes that I ordered. Chocolate should be simple. The Chocolate cupcakes do not taste like true chocolate, tastes a bit medicinal. Ive had cupcakes from here before that were tasteful but the chocolate needs improvement.

My favorite spot to visit for sweets. These were in the car today during this 90° heat but trust me it will be good going down. Not overly sweet and amazing! Did I mention scrumptious!!!! I have ordered the regular cakes which I do on special occasions. Those are cheaper then the cupcakes but they are also rich and fullfilling!

Tried it for the first time to see what the hype was about. She cannot make cakes. Seriously. The lady had no customer service skills and the cake was NOT good AT ALL. Overpriced, dry, not fresh; just all around distasteful. And I’m not picky when it comes to sweets, but this was truly not good. Don’t let that low lighting fool you; you can’t see what you’re getting until you walk outside. My husband even said it was the worst cake he’s ever had. Do I recommend/ will I go back? Absolutely not.

The cupcakes here are incredible and the cake sizes were just was I was looking for. They have alcohol infused options that taste wonderful! Im not one for sweets, but if someone brings me a cupcake from here, Ill eat everything. The Strawberry Daiquiri is my current favorite!

Visited Cupcake People for the first time ever today, a bit skeptical of how the cupcakes would taste, since I was used to getting the best cupcakes from Cami Cupcakes. Boy was I shocked at how delicious these cupcakes were!!!! Super moist, delicious, rich frostings, lots of flavors to choose from. I bought a dozen for $35. So far, I’ve tried the Vanilla rum and the banana pudding-both were outstanding, out of this world delectable. This is my new go-to place for desert/cupcakes/cakes. I highly recommend this place❤️

Inconsistent quality with this place. First my coworker bought us a few red velvet cupcakes which were good that day. Another day I bought a dozen bakers choice for the office and they werent moist or creamy or delicious at all, seemed old. People didnt like them. Last week my sister-in-law ordered 2 dozen variety mini-cupcakes to try out for my nephews BDay. Again, they were not moist or creamy at all and lacked that burst of flavor we were hoping for. They did not taste freshly baked that morning. I also went to Publix and bought some mini carrot cupcakes to compare. Those were light, fluffy, and delicious - and only a fraction of the cost. We wont be returning to Cupcake People. You dont get the quality that you overpay for. Its just not worth it. We want delicious cupcakes!

I just left work and was driving to get on 85—and remembered this place when I use to live in Gwinnett.It’s owned by a guy from my hometown....so I always support. I usually get cupcakes and they are THEE best—hands down! Today I decided on lemon pound cake. Baybay—it was soo hard to save the other half. But it’s a very large piece of cake. Almost large enough for 3 adults. I handled my small section with care and will try and not stare at it and save it for the folks I love.The cupcakes and cakes are ALWAYS fresh. Always.

I bought a dozen mixed cupcakes and a dozen mini cupcakes for an event for my granddaughter for a school event. I can honestly say they are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. The owner was very helpful and told me how to keep them fresh. The flavors were deliciously prominent in each and the mini cupcakes were yummy bites. Most cupcakes are way too sweet for me but these are just full of flavor and the icing is great. I highly recommend the Cupcake People.

Wow. Wish I could post a pic of the cupcakes we enjoyed... they were as beautiful as they were delicious. But theyre all gone. Never eaten such a yummy cupcake... ever. The owner was fantastic. Super friendly. And his creations were amazing. My girls didnt want the Dunkin Donuts I offered them that was across the street... but when they saw a sign for cupcakes, we had to try. I was afraid itd be more dried-out, cornbread-textured cupcakes like what Im accustomed to in cupcakes... but these were positively moist and amazing. We will be back.

Ive eaten a lot of cupcakes in a lot of cities and these are by far the best Ive ever had. Theyre never sickly sweet, have a good ratio of cake to frosting, and the flavor intensity and accuracy is on point. I used to go to their location off of Caroline St. near little 5 points in downtown all the time, but they are totally worth the drive to Lawrenceville /Duluth. I dont know how they get the cake so moist and flavorful, but these truly are CUPCAKE PEOPLE.

I love to try cupcakes all over in search for the very best ones. Im sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed with the Cupcake People. The cupcake did cure my sweet tooth, however I found them to be a little on the small side for the price. The frosting melted very quickly on my way home...it was a hot summer day, but I took them straight to my car and didnt leave them in the heat for long at all! On the plus side, the Cupcake People do have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. If youd like an adult cupcake, they have alcohol infused cupcakes for sale daily.

The best cupcakes you will ever try, hands down! There is always great flavors- some of my favorites are Lemon Blossom and Red Velvet. The frosting on the cupcakes is very flavorful and always gives them a fresh twist. I have only been to this Duluth location but I heard there is also one that opened up in Atlanta.

Visited here on the recommendation of Yelp! Wanted to grab cupcakes for one of the girls on my team for her bday. I needed to find the closest cupcake place to work so that I could return expeditiously. Found this place and was excited. Walked in and it smelled like pure bliss. It was as if I found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. OH MY! The smell was absolutely angelic. I think I floated from my car to the counter. LOL! I walked in and it was quaint and a serene atmosphere. I was greeted by a nice young lady. She helped me decide on 2 flavors - lemon and strawberry. I asked her a little about the history of the place and went on my merry little way. I am practicing clean eating right now, so I could not try the cupcakes. However, my coworker devoured them and raved about how good they were. When I come off this diet of mine... I will go back to try for myself.

Received some cupcakes as a gift from my son and they were awful. The red velvet was hard and dry, the Birthday cupcake was ok but the icing was hard...was just overall dissatisfied with all four cupcakes!!

I walked in and although the cupcakes looked beautiful there was a ROACH on the counter on one of the cupcake tiers!!!!! I pointed it out to the worker who was so afraid she came on the other side of the counter where I was. I left and will never go back!

The Best Freaking Cupcakes Ive ever had

The Cupcake People would not honor my Groupon before it expired. I presented the coupon on the 29th of January (my Groupon expired on the 30th). The explanation that was given was that I needed to give a 72 hour notice.(I did NOT need to pick up the cupcakes the next day so 72 hours later or whenever I could have picked them up would have been ok.) I am assuming this equates to me having to present the coupon 3 days later which would have meant my Groupon would have been expired. However, if I would have given cash that day then there would not have been a problem with them accepting my order. Groupons are supposed to be equivalent to cash and if I present one that day of placing an order...it should have been accepted. I will NOT patronize this establishment again and will let those at the government agency I work for know not to patronize them as well!
