I needed an upgraded laptop so he had one he was refurbishing. I am in the process of losing my job and had already updated my resume and cover letter prior to taking the laptop to him. He wiped my old hard drive clean without transferring all of my documents from my old computer to my new one. I lost a lot of stuff. He then proceeded to argue with me that nothing was on the desktop when I had had that computer for eight years and in fact, there were several documents on the desktop. He set me back a lot of time and effort, both of which I don’t have. Would not recommend

Timothy provides a detailed and expert level experience with his expansive knowledge of computers. I came in originally to upgrade our laptop, and left with a superb, brand new gaming laptop, one that he advised us to buy. We are very satisfied with the service and the quality of it as well. Yes he may be conversational, but I see nothing wrong with that, and actually appreciate the friendly chats. My boyfriend and I plan to continue using this great service for continuous care of our equipment. I highly recommend.

Daniel and me went AlphaGeek to look for a charger for my lap top. Mr Timothy Swan was looking all over the place to try to help us. Forgot it was a Holiday that day and ever thing was close. So went back and he found the charger he was looking for. He told me how much it would cost. Told him I would be back the next day. He let me take home and the day I played him. He also showed me his work for other customers. That was kinda cool.

Things that need to be done without your tech savvy knowledge will cost you where ever you go. This guy isn’t the answer. Bunch of nonessential apps your computer doesn’t need. Time spent waiting for a software update that takes a few hrs not a few days. Overpriced for upgrades that are literally plug and play. Not recommended for anything unless you know very little about computers.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Alpha Geek!! I stopped going to him a while back because I didnt trust him after he told my daughter he couldnt fix her computer and recommended that she purchase one of his refurbished computers. We come back to his store a few days later and hes using her nice computer that he claimed he couldnt fix!! I recently took my computer to a new shop and discovered there were ALOT of things WRONG with my computer, to includedefected parts!

Great experience. Mr. Swan was very helpful and informative. He was able to assist me in a timely manner with the results I was looking for at what I felt was a reasonable price. He was also very willing and enthusiastic in answering questions I had.The shop is in quite a clutter but provides a unique experience as well as plenty of parts to visualy inspect if youre feeling curious.I reccomend coming in and seeing what he can offer you.

Honestly, the owner is a nice guy but what was supposed to be a 10 minute errand turned into an hour just because he was talking to me. i was actually late to an event afterwards because i didnt want to be rude and tell him to stop talking. i dont know what unique clutter looks like, but i was uncomfortable with the amount of clutter in the store. it didnt even look like a store but more like a hoarders house. i could barely walk without either bumping into something or feeling like i was going to knock something over. there were no working lights except for the owners computer in the back of the store and the windows are covered up in the front. dark and cluttered is not what a store should look like.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever buy a refurbished computer from this guy. I had a problem with mine within 2 weeks, of course MY porblem was not covered by the warranty. (All his sales are final and he only deals in cash no paper trail He told us Im not a rent a center.) He does not give you paperwork. So if you do get something from him ask for a receipt and paperwork and a copy of the warranty (if he has such a thing) so you know what is and isnt covered. Aslo he made me feel like he wanted control on what progams I have on MY computer and how to set it up.

The gentleman in the store was very nice, and although he was unable to fix the issue with my computer, he attempted to repair it the entire day and then pointed me in another helpful direction when I came to pick the computer up.

Pc works fairly well but he did not try to save my old drive at all and this new one has his name all over it.. powered by Alpha Geek.. trying to get this junk off of here.

..a Nightmare!.. (an unbelievable, unapologetic fool)..this Guys B.S. endlessly & tries to railroad people into HIS wants?!?..destroyed my hard drive on one computer & could NOT replace windows 7 operating system?? - while constantly professing his expertise :( ..pride-open my cdrom drawer!?!?.. (rather than plugging in CPU & turning power on??).. I couldnt get out of their fast enough.. this guy is an incompetent manipulative B.S.er.. :( & worse!

If you need an emergency computer part and have the money to do it this place is a good place to go to. The owner there is a hard worker he has a masters degree in computer science. He knows exactly what hes doing I can give you great advice but overall his Hardware is a little overpriced not to mention it seems like a lonely guy and dont get them just start talking because he will never stop. We go in there and get what you want and get out of space you can cuz he will talk to you for talk to you for 45 minutes. Maybe dont know anything about computers I can meet you inscruciating. I went there several times to buy stuff sometimes I do other times hes just completely overpriced on items that he selling. Friends and she wants $15 for a 10 gigabyte flash drive which you can get on NewEgg for a 30 gig flash drive for $10.

Most awful computer store around I would not recommend anyone to this place dont believe me find out for yourself. I dont even know how the business still exist if you ask me.
