We have been getting a box of meat from loads every month since January. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to grocery store beef. It just tastes that much better! Their customer service is easy to work with when we want to switch up our box. If you haven’t tried them you are missing out!
Let me tell you I just cooked some of the best damn steak I have ever had from these guys I will continue to buy from them havent tried the brats yet I bought but if its anything like the steak Im sure I will not be disappointed
Picked up a pork shoulder yesterday morning. The girl who helped me was great! Very friendly fast service.I slow cooked some pulled pork on the Traeger, and even my vegan brother had a bite because it smelled so good.I will be making this my first choice for local meats in Lehi!
Honestly, the best cuts of steak I have ever had. This place is amazing!!
The best jerky I’ve ever had, great flavor and reasonably priced!
A 5 star butcher shop right down the road from my house? If my wife can’t find me at home, she’ll be sure to find me here!
Really good steak and burgers. I am so glad we have a local butcher to buy meat from!
Great service and variety of meat! Always a pleasant experience going through them.
Always great service good people, been using them for years!
Helpful staff, didnt get the mans name but he was great! Fresh cuts and frozen cuts, bacon is awesome. Also they have cut bones with marrow in so you can make your own bone broth at home.
Excellent cuts of meat and great customer service!
Great place!!!!First of all I love being able to walk in the store and look through the window to see my meat being processed as well as the cleanliness of the processing facility. We have been coming here for years and they always do an awesome job! They also sell locally grown, farm fresh eggs that are Great. Bright orange egg yolks!
They really did a good job cutting and wrapping our beef!
Awesome workers and the best sweet pepper sticks
I feel like we got a little shafted on our beef, we had a 790 pound live cow and only got 247 pounds of meat from it. They told me it would all be frozen and they would include an inventory list - maybe like 10 percent of it was frozen, it leaked blood on my floor (I had to re-wrap some meat), and there was no list. Its tasty and I still like it, but Im disappointed with my overall price/pound, and I feel like their communication was poor. But the pig we got turned out great; its absolutely delicious - hopefully the beef and communication issues were a fluke.
We have ordered a half a beef, quarter beef and full pig. The taste was great and we love all of our meat we get from these folks.
Great Americans that support the rights of Americans!
I love shopping here because they are a local butcher and because they have high quality, grass fed beef and they also have a great, FRESH selection of other cuts. I will shop here any day over Costco which is pretty much in the same parking lot. They are very clean and friendly every time I go in. They also have things here that you cant get at other places.
We are in a pandemic and for some reason not one person took precaution in the store. I had a mask on and seem like a chuckle. I unfortunately catch pneumonia a lot and have been sent to the hospital to get my lungs drained..... I couldnt even be in the syore long without being scared of the maskless staff that clearly doesnt care about social distancing as well i understand its your right to wear a mask and it should be but your customers shouldnt fear getting sick because you dont think covid is real. I almost went septic from the flu about drowned in my own body 3 years back and no thank you pleurisy and pneumonia are the worst pains anyone could die from. So the fact you clearly want to help and participate in the spread and kiling your fellow Americans and customers ive chosen to boycott your store !
I have always had good cuts of beef from them. Also, I have them process a couple of pigs a year for me. Always great service and greats cuts.
Grade A! Wonderful customer service. Very professional. We used their mobile truck to butcher three steers in Payson and it was so clean, efficient and well done. The cows were happy until the last second and butchering at our home was super helpful instead of having to stressed them out by putting them on a trailer. Were very impressed and happy with their quality and service. Well be back.
This place has the best quality steak Ive ever eaten. We are foodies and have dined at some really great steakhouses. This rivals Ruths Chris Steaks, Im so happy to have such a quality place to buy meat so close. Also, check them out on Saturdays and they have BBQ out front. The guy running it seems so nice, has homemade BBQ sauces and freely gave little samples of it for me to try at home. Just good people.
Got a few rib eyes here for a dinner party the steaks were great cuts at a fair price for the quality! I recommend them!
My husband had his deer processed here. It was all made in to deer burger. We asked for 1lb increments, and most of the blocks were anywhere from 2-2.75 lbs. We also had them add beef fat. For some reason the meat is almost watery. We’ve had wild game processed elsewhere and I’ve never had any problems. I hate cooking with the meat processed from Carson’s. I’m not very impressed with the processing of the deer. I have heard great things about their cuts of meat, but have never tried them.
This is my go-to place for beef. They have the best grass-fed beef for steaks!
Carsons does several lambs for me each year. Great service even when they are very busy. I give them a cut list and they follow it each time. There slaughter method for sheep is about as humane as it possibly can be. I recover the skins and the organ meat and they are happy to oblige. Their skinning method yields a very clean hide for tanning with no or minimal cuts.I recommend them to all my friends.
I purchased short ribs from here once and they were delicious. I’ll definitely be going back for speciality meats for special occasions.
I have had both a deer and cow elk processed here. Both were delivered on time and the quality was excellent. They are always busy during hunt season, but despite acting with urgency, I have never gotten the impression they were unwilling to help or answer questions like some others have suggested. The packaging is always sealed and clearly labeled and they even helped take it out to the car when my wife picked up the order. Their pricing is very competitive based on the multiple processors I have called. I will continue to do business here.
Full Service Butchery... very helpful and whatever they dont have they can order for you. STRONGLY Recommended!!!
I have always had very good service at Carsons. The lady with the bad review on the meat she bought could have taken it back. They are very good at customer service. I buy quarters of grass fed cows from them. So Ive had hundreds of pounds of their meat. Always delicious!
Bought a grass fed quarter from these guys. Ive bought many quarters and halves from other people and this was by far the top cuts Ive bought. Worth every penny. Ill be back for sure!
Carsons has the highest quality meat in Utah County. We love it so much, we havent bought meat at the grocery store for a year. They can have special orders ready within a day or so. Their bacon is the best weve ever had and the grass fed beef is totally worth the drive. Weve also bought loads of beef fat from them for making soap.
I will not buy meat anywhere else. Store is clean, meat is top quality. Staff is professional and friendly. We also have all of our game meat processed here each year and have been extremely satisfied.
Great shop and great service!! We are even getting a grass fed beef from them soon in addition to the other great meats we have already got. The are a please to work with. But I cant take my kids because they beg me for the beef jerky they are selling now at the fresh meat counter!
I came in on a Friday late afternoon and the cut of fresh meat I originally wanted was gone, so I got a different cut. I get it, Fathers Day weekend no problem. They looked great and fresh. I put them in the fridge and when we went to cook them on Sunday afternoon (48 hours later) they looked a bit brown/grey, but I didnt think much of it. Well, we cooked them to a nice medium...they tasted weird, like I couldnt put my finger on why. But then I realized they tasted like old blood. There were parts that tasted fine and normal but 50% or more of it was just inedible due to the gross old blood flavor (it tasted how the butcher smells). There was no instruction to use them within a certain timeframe, no date on the packaging other than the pack date which was 4 days prior. Ive left steaks in my fridge for 48 hours before and never had an issue. So Im not sure what I did wrong....but I was definitely disappointed because I spent a decent amount for steaks that we couldnt even enjoy.
I brought in a 500lb skinned cow from a farm to have butchered here and requested as many steaks as possible and the rest ground beef. Ive never had a cow butchered before so I didnt know what to expect or really ask for. The guy seemed a little arrogant and annoyed with me, part of that was because I hadnt called ahead to drop the cow off and he didnt get his kill fee Im assuming. He also charged me a 15 cent premium because he said the cow was dirty so he charged it as a game animal? I picked it up a week later and 80% (4 out of 5 bags) of my meat was ground beef also I didnt get any T bones or ribeyes. If all you want is ground beef this place is a great option if you can deal with the not so great customer service otherwise Id personally STEER clear.
Very quick turn around on my deer. However… I asked for the meat in chunks for jerky and sausage but that the back straps (tenderloins) be packaged separately and NOT in chunks. I got six 5 lb packages marked deer chunks. When I called to let them know, they did nothing. No come in and get a couple pounds of beef tenderloin, no 20% off your next processing, not even a sincere apology. It was like oh well… sorry. Some lady in the background was saying nothing we can do. Just tell him sorry and get off the phone. What does he want us to do? If I messed up someones order, especially the back strap of a deer (the best meat) Id do what it takes to keep them as a customer. Apparently they have all the work they need cause they didnt give a crap about me. So guess what? I aint their customer ever again and further more I am letting everyone that asks, how callus they were to me about THEIR MISTAKE! One star for getting my deer done fast, -1 star for the screw up, and -3 for their horse crap customer service.
Wish the had unfrozen grass fed beef. Great service! If they had pasture raised pork they’d be 5 star.
They dont cut it per order like others. Its already cut and wrapped.
We have been going there for years used to be a great place and now their service is horrible. We took our deer there this year and hot half the meat we normally do. Called to have 2 elk dropped off they said sure but when we got there they turned us away. Will not be recommending anyone to go there and you have lost my business!!!
I had about 25 lbs of deer meat in needed ground up. It was all cut up and ready to grind nothing but grind and package. They charged me $115 because they charge a minimum for a deer. Almost $5 a lb to grind and package. Will never go back or refer anybody.
No better butcher shop around. The Carson brothers are the best in the business. They have been cutting my beef and pork for over 30 years.
Very helpful. Provided the service I needed in a professional and timely manner.
Got my elk processed here they had a fast turn around but my meat has a ton of hair in it 🤢🤮
Bought frozen grass fed beef of a few different cuts.1.) There was a fly in the frozen beef.2.) The cuts were terrible. Steak shouldnt be cut like stir fry.3.) Tasted terrible. Worse then stuff I bought at Smiths.
Had my deer done there took it in on sat they texts me sat afternoon that it was ready and could pick it up on Mon morning fastes place I have ever had a game done and the meat is awsome
👏 5 stars
Whenever i need a cut of beef that is WAY above par, I come to Carsons. Ive compared steaks side by side with costco, smiths and ridleys and the Carsons steak over delivers in taste and quality EVERY TIME. If I could camp out in the parking lot with a hibachi and a fork, I would.
The majority of meat is frozen. If you want smaller portions, its not going to happen here. They can be very curt and not customer service oriented.
Carson Meats always has the highest quality meats and custom service. They are truly the best around.
Warning: Dont take your wild game to Carsons. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I dropped off 4 quarters of an elk and requested that everything be cut into steaks (or chunks for jerky). The next day I was called and told it was done. What I got back was 75% grind (burger)--only 16 packages of steaks from an entire elk. Even worse, they claimed that the total weight of the 4 quarters I dropped off was only 130 pounds (for a bull elk?). When I called to discuss the problem, I was essentially told too bad. They wouldnt accept any responsibility--their excuse was thats our standard way of processing wild game. Even when I pointed out their failure to follow the specific instructions on the written order form, they denied any responsibility. So, after losing at least 25% of the meat and turning most of the remainder into burger, they still charged me their minimum 200 lbs rate for elk.
I raise high quality Wagyu Beef. Ive used Carsons for over 10 years. They do a good job. First, they slaughter the animal with a single bullet to the head. Its immediately dead ... the animal is hanging out chewing grass one second and dead the next. They immediately cut it up and its hanging in their refrigerated trailer in 20 minutes. Theres No chasing or hauling the poor animal. This alone makes carson meats worth it. They also do a good job of aging, cut and wrapping the meat. I emphasis good, not perfect... but as good as anyone else Ive tried. Are they going to trim your steaks to the exact specifications? No but they are acceptable. In other words They blow through the cutting process like every other meat processor in Utah. .. Probably because they have to make a profit. Lets face it The tight arse people in Utah county dont want to pay what it would cost to trim meat so its 100 percent ready to use for say fajitas. I personally would pay a little more for this, but thats subjective anyway. They are good at removing bone etc... their hamburger is great. Lamb steaks or fajita meat etc... might need a little bit of trimming before you cook it. Thats expected. Basically trim your own pieces after you thaw them out and be glad theres a mobile butcher available. Cheers
Asked simply for some beef to be sliced for fajitas. Told the lady (who is always there but do not know her relation to establishment) I would be in by 6 and she assured it would be ready. I show up and the meat is ready for me to be picked up, but not sliced. She said sometimes people order and dont pick up. The problem was that the butcher had already left and they werent able to slice it? It was important it was done for various reasons and she didnt even blink an eye, she could really have not cared less So much for assurances on it being ready! Just because of that I lost my faith in Carsons. Time to go somewhere else.
Been getting beef from here for years, always great quality
