First time going into wards... Was recently I gave my sister a ride to get a meat order. The woman at the meat counter was amazingly kind! Very helpful, Ill definitely go back here for meats.

We love yall...we really do. The service is friendly and the food consistent. Whats stopping this from being 5 stars is the lack of consistency when ordering by phone. We live in the area, but sometimes ppl want to just pick food up. Please invest in 2 phones.

Very friendly workers. If you need help in the store. They will help you out. If you need something and you cant find it, they will help you find it and out of something you need, they order it and have it next time. Never had a problem with them.

When someone orders a roast beef,Cheese, and mayo with extra roast beef you dont only give them 2 full slices of roast beef and call that extra and charge the extra for it. I will NOT order another sandwich until the deli figures that out.

Wards has some good food in the deli department. The price arent too bad but I so think some of the stuff should be cheaper when what theyre asking bc u can get the same exact thing at the grocery store for a $1. Overall tho, its not that bad of a store

I know my food i know what I like dislike. I orderd my son a cheeseburger and fries. I tried the fries they tasted amazing crispy light and yummy. I tried my sons cheeseburger, I have not had a burger that good in a long time. The bun they use is so yummy fresh light the burger tasted great. Other places I can taste the grill stuff its gross. Im very picky about where I eat. This place is number 1. I just sent someone up to pick up 5 cheeseburgers and fries for my family. Try the burger you wont regret it. AMAZINH

Was happy about my order ....but they need to keep people out of the doorways....exitting my platter got flipped upside down.....because of someone texting in the door way.

Occasionally stop in for meat specials whenever I travel near their store. Always has been a fine experience, pleasant atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable service, a chat or two with the neighborhood residents and an excellent selection of quality meats. The last trip in was status quo...Fresh lobster salad at a very good price, ground chuck, Lewiston sirloin, all very good. The store underwent a refresh with new flooring, new coolers and a new cash out area that looks a bit confusing at first, especially without product conveyor belts but if that arrangement works better for them then thats whats important for their day is spent working within that area. We, as customers, spend merely a few minutes cashing out. All in all an appealing refresh, quality products and pleasant folks who are helpful and know their stuff.

In the process of doing renovations small ones at that very good meat selection they do have a lot of homemade sandwiches and pastas and stuff that are very good

Had a very good time shopping here this 2020 Holloween. The cashier was in Costum, she was very good at customer care and courtesy. This is where I buy all of my meats. Their ground beef is excellent and prices are reasonable for a neighborhood market. The renovations to the store are refreshing and bright. I always am greeted and asked if I need assistance. I recommend liking them on FB to follow their excellent sales.

Shop here every chance I get. The people are awesome.

Was excited to try this place out but when I went to put an order in they closed down the grills and pizza oven early. When trying to speak with management about the issue that they advertised a set time and we had called in 15-20 minutes before the stated closure time of the grills they just made up excuses on why they were closed early instead of trying to fix the problem. I would have no issues with this but if a time is being advertised on your website and menu it needs to be met and not have reasons on why you decided to close early so you could go home early. Very upset with how this was handled.

Great food, great staff. Owner can be kind of arrogant and stand offish with concerns and complaints. Prices and selections were getting worse pot are slowly getting betterEdit :Manager did reach out to me about my review and was very approachable with some of the concerns that were previously listed he did explain that price Rises were due to suppliers not he him himself and that he is actually starting new sales and some of these sales are very cheap meats and very cheap deli food items like a steak and cheese sub I got today for only $2.50 very good deal and just the fact that the owner was willing to take the time to provide good customer service and talk to me about my feedback was really winning point

Nice place but most people dont wear masks

I bought 2 pounds of haddock yesterday, and when I got home I put the wrapped fish on my countertop to get ready to make chowder. Within minutes, the sickening smell of fish filled my kitchen! I had to throw it out, without even unwrapping it. How can they sell fish that has gone bad???

Always good food and good service. And today i had the daily special and id recommend the chicken bacon ranch on a jalepeno cheese wrap. It was amazing! 🤤😂

Its a charming and convenient grocery store. Theyve got a good variety of stuff and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I used to shop here religiously, but havent been in months. I loved the fresh meat, competitive prices and the specials. But after numerous confrontations with employees, I stopped going. I carry a fanny pack and backpack with me wherever I go. It has necessities in it (medical as well as some personal items). I also have a $300 pair of wireless headphones as well as a $200 tablet and charging cables. Whenever I would enter the store, an employee would rudely insist I leave my backpack out front. My issue isnt with the rudeness, thats typical of most of Wards employees. My issue is that they tell me to leave it out front BUT wont take responsibility should something happen to it. If they have such a problem with shoplifting, how about investing in cameras? Is the owner that greedy? You cant tell me its too expensive, if it prevents loss of profit from shoplifting. Not only that, but I have offered to let them see inside my backpack when I enter and when I leave. I have nothing to hide. But they wont. Why not? If you are going to assume I will steal, why not pat me down too? I do NOT have this issue at ANY other store including local convenience stores. To make matters worse, I have seen senior citizens walk in with shopping bags and such just as big as my backpack. Even women with large purses. Why arent they asked to leave things out front? I dont appreciate being singled out and if I cared enough about shopping there Id have filed a complaint with the state. But instead, I just bring my business elsewhere. I have a friend who I help with her shopping and she liked to go there too. But I told her I wont go there anymore. Shes not happy about it and even asked me to go again the other day and I told her to ask someone else. She doesnt have anyone else and I will NOT give ANY business to bigots. So Wards has actually lost TWO regular customers. Its really a shame the owner is such a freaking bigot. They dont want the public to think they search old ladies, but a middle aged white man must be a thief. So is it about shoplifting? Really? Or is it profiling. I could be a real dick and refuse to leave it there and dare them to call the cops. Id LOVE to see that explained in the press. But it aint worth the effort. Its a shame, really. They have some great items at great prices. But my integrity and dignity cannot be bought. I liked it MUCH better before this Leon jerk bought it.

The best meat deals in the Lewiston-Auburn area

Girlfriend and I bought haddock and chicken from here recently, the chicken is fine and the cuts are good for barbecuing, but the haddock went bad the day after we bought it. Werent given a receipt so we cant return it. Not gonna give a 1 star review as mistakes happen, but check your fish before you buy it from here.

1/2 hour for 4 sandwiches.. roast beef about 2 oz of meat gimme a break..mostly onions, extra cost for yellow lettuce..I was very dissatisfied!2 people working the deli..slow as molasses.

Their meat is some of the best around town.

No personality, and not willing to custom cut meat, I thought they were a butcher shop and convenient store?Do not waste you time here.To your response, my wife asked for a special cut and was told this is what we have and would not fill our order... so as you state you will always custom cut is not true.

We go here 2ce a month for my meats. Ive been going here for years. When it went from Borques to Wards ALOT of changes were made for the better. There prices are great and Ward made alot out of the space he had. There friendly and helpful. I asked if they has strawberry Sobes they didnt at that time but when I went back a few days later they had it. I thanked him and he said if theres something youd like and I dont have it I will get it. Totally awesome

Italians for $1.49 each is a special they run each Wednesday. Quite popular but only runs till 3:00. Store not as big or fancy as Shawa or Hannaford but does carry a large variety of items.
