Showed up st 7:51 p.m. on 7/24/21 to pick up a couple quick items.....doors are locked. So I called them (still answering their phones). The lady answering the phone responds were closing in a few minutes. When I asked her why the doors were locked at 7:50, she offered to get the manager, who then proceeded to leave me on hold and turn off the light (all before 8:00 p.m., which is their posted closing time). Despicable businesses practices reflective of a lazy management with ZERO work ethic.Edit: the picture wasnt captured well, but you can clearly see the Open sign is still on.

I spent all day talking with Rheem Water Heaters, trying to get a part I had ordered rush from them four days earlier. They told me to go buy the part locally and they would reimburse me. I called all over North Texas to every Plumbing Supply and Service Company on the Internet. Finally when I googled the part number I needed, there was only one place that had it and it was at this hardware store. Trouble is no one could find it. The Head Cashier named Shelli took extra time and worked over her shift and finally found the part installed onto a tank in the store that it should have never been on. She watched a Youtube video and learned how to take the part off the tank and sold it to me with a discount. She held it for me to give me time to drive there from out of town. And that forced her to go even further over her shift. Talk about above and beyond. You do not see that from employees much anymore. I hope this store pays her what she is worth and trys the best they can to never lose her. Meanwhile I will drive from out of town to do them business. And I would suggest anyone else do the same. Westlake Ace in Lewisville is the place..............

Nice staff . Large selection of hardware paints etc. Some unusual items you wont find in Home Depot! Ordered a key... what I like is your in and out quick.

Went to make a copy of my car key and got it done fast within 5 minutes. It cost only $5 for me. Super customer service and very quick help!

I would say “buyer beware” except that you can’t buy anything if they don’t have what you need. I gave this place two stars for its convenience although I’ve been there dozens of times and rarely find what I’m looking for. They say they have something in stock online and then you get there and the clerk will tell you “oh I haven’t seen this in forever”. I go today for Milorganite because they said they had it in stock online but don’t. The clerk was more concerned about my pronunciation of Milorganite than actually finding it for me, she thinks it’s some rare Earth mineral such as carbonatite (yes I’m smarter than that) I wonder what would happen if I chose the curbside pick up option instead of going in the store …? anyway strike 1000 they’re out. While I’m ranting, what’s with the name “WestLake.” That’s a town about 10 miles away and it has nothing to do with Lewisville. Strange. Confusing. Next time we have a power outage and drive across town on icy roads to get your 5 gallon gas can for my generator, that you say you have in stock online but don’t, (yes that happened too) I’ll continue do scratch my head and wonder why I keep giving this place so many chances.

Has almost everything you need and lots of helpful stuff

I stopped by here to pick up a Traeger grill. It was the last one, fully assembled, and wouldnt quite fit in the back of my SUV. The very nice manager and one very helpful and respectful worker were happy to help remove the legs and and help load the grill into the back of the vehicle. It fit nicely and was really pleased with the amount of help I got. Would shop again.

Great service. I called asking if they could order a specific grill that I knew they didnt have in stock. The manager said sure, we could get it in the next order on Friday, then noticed there was one that he could scramble and maybe get the next day for me. He told me hed call back, he did in an hour, and said he could have it at the store within 4 hours from the other side of the metro plex. I went and picked it up and they loaded it in my car for me. Respect.

8/26 13:15 Was in this store to pickup a couple of items. Had my $5 off Birthday rewards member coupon.Prominently displayed on Front Door and Register they had on display signs that stated masks were required by all customers entering the store by order of the GovernorIn entering I passed two customers exiting the store without masks. Advised floating floor employee standing right there... he responded with. Oh Well.As I brought my items to the register 2 young guys entered also not wearing masks. Pointed this out to the cash register attendant... he ignored/dismissed my concern. Pressed him that the store employees needed to have the courage and social integrity to enforce the Governors directive for ALL customers. Again a passive spineless non-reaction from the employee. Obviously conflict and confrontation averse.I then asked the 2 young guys why they werent wearing masks. To their credit they did at least respond with an apology and said they had them but had forgotten them in the car. I told them forgetting is NOT an ok excuse.If businesses arent going to grow some... we will be dealing with this Pandemic well into 2021.... totally insane given the most important remediative action that the public can participate in is so simple and so easy. Wear a freaking mask!! ☠ 🤬😷🖖

Check out girl was LESS THAN helpful. Tried to pay with a giftcard, which I purchased on my phone. Her scanner wouldnt read it so she said there was nothing more she could do, didnt even try to problem solve with the manager. So my purchase doubled in price.

We need hardware stores like Ace Hardware. Theyre like the old mom&pop hardware stores. They have all those odd fasteners, screws, tools,etc., that giant stores like The Home Depot and Lowes dont have. Love the staff and store!

Came in to pick up an online order. The order itself took a whole week to be processed and ready for pickup when it was only one thing: a case of mason jars. When I came in to pick it up, both employees that I interacted with failed to properly wear their masks, blatantly showing off their noses and even having the audacity to adjust their masks right in front of me and not place them properly onto their nose during the adjustment process. Will not be coming back.

From the moment I walked in the staff was very friendly and helpful. Store is clean as well. Havent been in a Ace Hardware store in a very long time and after today I will be visiting more often.

So your tired and dont want to deal with the giant home stores, huge parking lots, and busy checkout.Neighborhood Ace has what you need or order online and pickup at store. Employees at the front will help direct you to items. Picked up a quart of mortar, pvc piping, and matched some screws that I stripped installing a new lockset.

Nice staff but the store seemed a bit cluttered. Maybe it was just bad timing but seemed like it was over stuffed.

For a small store it has a lot of great products.

Went to this location this evening to purchase paint and materials for painting a wall in my house. I know nothing about painting but the staff was incredibly helpful and patience with me. I believe it was Quentin who helped me - he made sure I had all my materials for my project and pointed me in the right direction of budget friendly options. I really appreciated this! The female cashier was very sweet as well. This is my first ace hardware experience and I look forward to revisiting again soon.

I have always liked ACE hardware stores but my past two visits to this store were very disappointing. I placed an order for pickup. The day AFTER I placed my order I received an email that they didnt have it in stock. When it finally came in a week later it took them 15 minutes to find my order. That was with 2 people searching for it.

I bought paint that was supposed to be semigloss but instead was high gloss and did not match the Benjamin Moore sheen chart. I did not use any of the paint except to put a small amount on a sample. I tried to get them to fix the paint or exchange it but they refused to even listen to my complaint. I can see if it was a complaint about color but when the sheen doesn’t even line up with the actual Benjamin Moore chart it’s bad business to not replace it. Especially when I asked the girl several times when she was mixing it about it being too shiny. I’ll never buy paint here again. Or anything else.

I gotta tell you...at Ace Hardware, you dont have to walk 3 football fields to find what you need. Surprisingly, 9 times out of 10 youll find what you need. I think thats how the awesome staff can either tell you exactly the location or take you to it immediately. Competent and friendly folks and competitively priced with the big box stores.

I have a lot of Stihl products, and Chris has always been a help when it come to fixing issues or getting parts. Hannah has also been very helpful. This location is my first stop for hardware!

They dont have the selection that the bigger stores have, but theyre always helpful. Bolts and screws are neat and tidy and everything is easy to find. Anyone you ask can help you find what youre looking for and the clearance isle is pretty rad.

Ace is the place. With Lowes and Home Depot right down the street. I would much rather go to this lhardware store for my needs. The people are extremely friendly and eager to help. Prices are compatible to the big boxes, but its a much better experience.

Second trip there in 6 months. Neither time did anyone notice me or attempt to help me. I went to the opening month a few years ago and the kid had no idea what a grade 8 bolt was and made no effort to look. I miss the old days and Im only 51!!!

They wouldnt cut a key on my blank that has the built-in remote, but they did cut me a plain key for $3, that i can use to unlock the car and start the car. So now at least I have a backup key.

Friendly service and fixed an issue with a refund for a defective item. Helped me to find a replacement.

Good collection of nuts and bolts. But they dont keep bolts in packages of higher quantity. Only sold in loose. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely visit again.

Old and run down, with that feel of a shop thats been there for decades... Employees that seem more interested in chatting with each other than offering any help to a customer... HOWEVER, if youre looking for that one special nut, bolt or screw, then theyre a LOT closer to a real hardware store than Lowes or Home Depot will EVER be. They had exactly what I needed and it cost me less than $2, so Im still giving 4 stars regardless of the rest.

Ive never been inside the store because Im disabled & loading & unloading my walker is difficult right now. But when I called & spoke to Michael about several items that I need, I was treated well, he was knowledgeable about all of the items & assured me that they would assist me in getting everything that I need. Great job.

Took a while, but I was able to find exactly what I needed. When it comes to small hardware, they have a massive selection. I couldnt find what I needed at the bigger home improvement stores (ironicly), but this much smaller store, had a larger selection. Who knew? Prices were a tad bit higher then I hoped to pay, but not ridiculous by any means. In the end, I was very happy I could find what I needed.

The staff was super helpful in helping me find the tools I needed to repair one of my light kits. He actually ended up repairing it right there at the store! Such a sweet staff!

Its that time of year again whenever the yearly lawn work starts. I have been searching online for a new program for my lawn due to a high amount of we do this year. After finding out that Ace Hardware had a 4 step program I decided to try out the program and see how it works. Unfortunately online and in-store both said it was unavailable so I didnt understand because each of the four products were sold in store. I decided to find out if I could go in the store and purchase each of the four as a kit in order to get it at that price. I got to the store Hannah informed me that is actually a kit that they send out typically once or twice a year and they get bought out quickly because theyre in high demand. Due to that fact though she said she should be able to work something out to get it close to the same pricing. She was able to help me out more than expected and I appreciate it all of her help.

No idea what they are doing. Placed online order, not enough time or room to even comment on all the customer service issues from being placed on hold so long phone hangs up, cant find order, not waiting on me when 2 employees standing and not doing anything.

Got myself into a dilemma. My phone fell behind drywall in a home not mine. So I came to Ace and with the help of the Manager and Chris we MacGyver a contraption. And Ive got my phone out. With 0 damages to either property.

Its a great little hardware store and and very helpful staff. Because of their smaller size the stock seems to be a little messy but they do carry great items.

They did not want to make a spare key because I brought my own blank key.. I have gotten it done before at different ACE locations with no problem, but this one store sucks..

I want to thank the staff at this store for being patient, and going the extra mile to help me get my sons electronic key fob cut. The Duracell replacement case wasnt quite right, but they took the fob to the back and dremeled away some plastic and when it was all said and done we got his Honda CRV key cut and replaced for $25 vs the $200 it would have cost at the dealership.
