By far the best place to get your CWP everyone is so helpful. They offer a ton of diffent classes to further your knowledge and use of using a gun. Everyone that works here is great highly recommend!

I would like to thank everyone at Kilo Charlie!! My wife has been a nurse for a long time, she had to have a few surgeries and not able to go back to work. She so misses the interaction with her patients and coworkers and had become withdrawn and just stay home. But thanks to EVERYONE at Kilo Charlie she has found something she loves to do! My wife and I signed up for an intro to pistol class so she could learn the basics and I could have a refresher course on it and we had a great time. We will definitely be coming back here when we buy our first pistol (even though we have NC licenses and have to pick it up in NC) and will be coming back to use the range regularly after we do! Would highly recommend if you’ve never shot a pistol before and need to learn!

Recently took the CWP class with my wife and father-in-law. We were all thoroughly pleased with the curriculum and overall experience. Kevin’s knowledge of handguns and their inner workings was impressive and it showed through in the class. The range was clean and efficiently run which was nice. Would definitely recommend Kilo Charlie for range sessions or a CWP class.

Its a nice little range. Friendly staff, close to home, my only complaint is you can only purchase 50 rounds of whichever caliber you need. I understand its hard to get, but Im going to practice and if I have to share 50 rounds with someone, thats hardly enough. Im just getting started.

I visited this range years ago under a different name. Ill be honest, I didnt care for it back then, but they are under new management now...and it shows! Clean and organized. The range is well lit and comfortable. The prices are great and the staff is friendly! We will definitely go again.

After what we experienced yesterday, I would not recommend Kilo Charlie to anyone. We took a CWP and our instructor had an agreement at 1 pm to have 3 paid (while Im sure at a discount due to volume) lanes so we could qualify but right as our first group of 3 went in, numerous people 20+, showed up and we were told we would have to wait. When you make a business arrangement, you keep it! Our instructor made a business arrangement with our class based on the arrangement you had with him and because you didnt hold up your end of the deal you jeopardized someone elses business reputation. I would expect better from former law enforcement or military. Another range C2C was very accommodating and got us in very quickly to help our instructor save face. We will be going there to shoot! Thank you for showing us your true colors before we wasted our money at your range.

Drove over from Columbia for the Intro to Pistol class with my daughter and a friend and we had a blast! The instructor was helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and answered all our questions. This was my first time ever visiting a shooting range! I will definitely be coming back.

Asked Palmetto State Armory to do a FFL transfer, it was a nightmare. Lie after lie, Sportsmans Warehouse stated they didnt do 3rd party transfers anymore. But yet,, these same companies expect other FFL dealers to accept their transfers. Big box firearm dealers should be boycotted by the smaller gun shops. What a double standard.Then I decided to go to Kilo Charlies and it literally took the guy less than 2 minutes to send his info to the out of state dealer and accept the transfer. I will NEVER deal with big box store firearm dealers again, ever. This will be our go to now for all our firearm needs.

The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. After qualifying for my CWP, I went there to celebrate. I wanted a new gun. The staff helped me pick a nice 9mm out with a ladies touch of color. They oiled the gun as well. They showed me which maintenance kit to use . My gun is a perfect extension of me!I also love the fact that Ladies can shoot w/o a fee on two days a week! I love this place...please go see for yourself!

This range is amazing. Small & organized, and such friendly staff! I had grown up shooting but my fiancé had never shot a firearm before. The staff were so patient with him & myself and helped us in every which way they could. We’ve decided to make coming to the range a regular thing to keep up on our skills, since it’s so close to home! They even inspired us to purchase our first firearm since they talked with us And made us feel comfortable & confident. Thank you guys so much & we’ll see you soon!!

I am a relatively new shooter. Found Kilo Charlies on line and tried it out as it is close to the house. Not as close as others, but I find no need to go anywhere else. I have taken lessons, cwp class and bought guns from Kevin and find all products and services competitive and top notch., He has a great location, facility and staff. I always have questions and he patiently and thoroughly helps me out, every time. Happy to give them a great review.

Kilo Charlie shooting range is the BEST range in the Columbia/Lexington area. The environment is very clean and friendly. Kevin and his staff are truly AMAZING and are very knowledgeable and friendly. I drive from Elgin just to come here because they make me feel comfortable and are able to answer any questions I have. Definitely recommend shooting here especially if you are a beginner shooter like myself.

I have been coming to this location for several years. I went to break in a new piece last week and saw it was under new ownership. I was happy to see that. I went in everyone was nice and glad to see me :-). I saw new a piece they had that I had been looking at with a price that was unbeatable. I bought it at an unbeatable price and got 1 hour free range time with the purchase. This is what a shooting range should be!!!!

Went to a ladies night out at the range event tonight with two friends and had a wonderful time. Our shooting experience varied greatly between the three of us, yet all three of us felt that we learned something valuable. Kevin and Dave are exceptional teachers! Kilo Charlie Shooting range use to be defender shooting sports. There is a new owner there and this is a veteran owned business. This place really awesome to shoot at, and they do sell firearms and ammo there. Make sure that you check out there web site as there are some caliber restrictions. This is a 25 yards only shooting range for handguns, not rifles. Great professional courtesy when I visited this place today, and I will certainly be back. Highly recommend. Fading out, nominal.

Was There today and waited go on range and they 3 people go in front of us there doing bad business. Me and my friend waited and hour still didn’t get shoot while other people go in front of us so we walked out.

This is an awesome shooting range and I even got my Concealed Weapons Permit here! Nice selection and very clean. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff. I felt very welcome and comfortable my first time through the door. I would recommend this location for beginner shooters. It is a pistol only range with restrictions on calibers so call ahead to verify what you plan to shoot. I think they have an ok variety on guns and ammo considering the size of their show room. Prices on range time and guns are comparable to other local gun stores in the area. One major plus is, its owned by local veterans.

Very informative with gun into class, patient and instructive on the range- I had a hard time getting the hang of grip, stance, and other issues and Mr. Kevin was excellent at diagnosing and correcting my errors one at a time until I “got it”. I will definitely go back and work on what I’ve learned! Also, I was expecting a two hour private session but ended with a 3.5 hour session- he has great patience with an absolute newbie and instructs according to need rather than time- very impressive!

I went to Kilo Charlie yesterday, 9/5, to see if I could trade in my xd mod2 45 (printing to much) for something a bit smaller for concealing. The staff at the shop were excellent. Very helpful. Wound up getting an xds mod2 9. Great group of guys working there. Would recommend this establishment to any/everyone. Keep up the good work.

Very bad experience here. Note to everyone that comes in here. Dont touch the guns on the wall. Even pointing at one and touch the grip it might fall ( rotate on mount). You will get scolding in front of everyone. You might get multiple rude comments by the staff. Staff at counter could not use the system to put in rounds on a lane or could not even split the bill. I hate its the closest range to my house. In defense of staff it was really busy. Had a bad week and just wanted to blow off steam. But instead I learned to control myself. To be so defensive of their guns. They did not even know which gun that has been returned and which gun was still out on range.

I highly recommend the Defensive Pistol class at Kilo Charlie Shooting Range. It was informative and fun. I learned additional skills and things I can work on to continue improving. I am better prepared to defend myself and my family thanks to this class. While I hope to never have to fire my weapon in my defense, I believe it’s important to be prepared. I know to be situationally aware and try to avoid suspect situations, but I’d rather be prepared than be a helpless victim should it come to that. Not only was the training highly educational, but I also had a great time. Kevin made it easy to follow and fun. His demeanor was great and not intimidating while also helping me find things I could work on to improve. I highly recommend this (and other) training he does such as low light training which I’ve participated in other times. Getting your CWP is only one step along your path to self-defense. Don’t stop there and trust your life to just what you learned in your CWP class. Get more training and practice frequently. Not only will you be prepared if you are forced to defend yourself from a violent criminal, but you will also have some fun learning and shooting at the range. Another thing to keep in mind is that it’s easier to learn to do things the right way at first than to have to break bad habits later. It’s very nice to work with a local business where they want to help, are happy to answer questions, etc… I enjoy the range and training and really appreciate having someone I can go to for anything firearms related that I might need. Great training, a nice safe range, personal and friendly staff (Nicole is also great!), etc… help make it easy for me to recommend Kilo Charlie Shooting Range and encourage everyone to take advantage of training opportunities they offer!
