I was riding around town, my SUV sounded like a tractor, It was so loud. I stopped by Muffler Man Lincoln Park location, I was greeted by a man name Joe. He was very nice and pleasant with a great of humor. I told him what was going on and asked if he could check my car? Immediately he came out and let me know what was going on with it. He said he could fix it today. He offered take me home and pick me up when the car was ready. I laughed because that never happened to me before... I was thinking this has to be a joke. Seconds later he asked if I had time because they could fix it while I wait. I was blown away, it was done in no time. After the car was finished.. Joe took me back to show me what was done. I was really pleased most shops just send you on your way, they never show me what they done. Joe let me know that they stand by there work and it there is any problems to give him a call. I rode away smiling because my car was quite and I receive such amazing customer service.... I would recommend this place to anyone. Joe is an Amazing person.... God Bless his business!!!!!

Walked in asking for help to line up some quad tips on my car. Right off the bat the guy looked like he didn’t want to give me the time of day. He eventually went out to check out what I was talking about and instantly started bringing up excuses how the couldn’t do it. So I left & went to different shop and they had it done within an hour. Way more friendly and didn’t hesitate to throw the car on a lift and get to it. I’ll never go back for even the most simple task. Thanks for nothing. My car looks amazing thanks to the other shop!

Ive been going to muffler man for over 3 years and have nothing but good things to say. I have an older vehicle so unfortunately Ive had to use there services more than i would prefer. My last visit wasnt ideal but joe more than accommodated me. I honestly feel i owe joe and muffler man a great review because these guys hands down took care of me and provided A1 service. Joe is a total scam, will try to sell work not needed. I based my visit off his google reviews, after through review of his google ratings, I will not be surprised a bit most are his relatives leaving him five star reviews. Also if you pay close attention to his comments on some of the negative reviews you will notice some have been copied and pasted from a local competitors page. Local competitor posted comments before joe posted the same exact comment. Just a thought to process, if you can not comment with your own words that tells me a lot about your integrity and honesty. Thank you for ripping me off and selling me repairs that didn’t fix my car. Four mechanics and only two state licenses displayed, are you guys even licensed to do most of the work you’re performing? I will ask the State to look into that.

**UPDATED**I was referred to come to this specific location to get a diagnostic done for my fusion. I was told the throttle body needed replaced by them, but was told the catalytic converter was the issue where I normally go and my guy said to ask them to just weld a piece on that’s much cheaper and easier since my cars older. The gentleman said it would be $480 to do the throttle body, parts and labor. He said, “the part for this is expensive”. I asked about the catalytic converter and was told that also was coming up on the diagnostic, so I asked if he could just do that for me so my total for the diagnostic ($78) went toward something as I was not able to afford the cost of the throttle body yet. He said he needs to do the throttle body first because the code for the catalytic converter could be coming up due to the throttle body. Told this to my normal mechanic at Belle Tire and he was baffled. I bit the bullet for the diagnostic here because Belle Tire only charged me $280 for the throttle body, parts and labor. $200 less than this guy told me. I know vehicles and I know how to compare prices for things. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere for someone to do what I want for the catalytic converter, which is still giving me issues and is why I said I wanted that done, but he refused.**This gentleman now has called me twice and left long messages trying to defend what he said to me regarding the work that needed to be done. Also, saying I got “off market parts” when I’m pretty sure Belle Tire cannot do that. I was a customer who wanted something done, it was argued against, was not done and I’m still having the same issue. I am able to leave whatever kind of review I want regarding my experience, which I was very unhappy with.**

JOE gave me an estimate that was very reasonable, about a 100 less than I expected. Was very professional. I believe that Joe, the manager, and his crew have been at Muffler Man in Lincoln Park since, September, 2014. I have always felt that Joe was a very professional business man. I can tell that he really takes his job seriously and really seems to enjoy it. The reason I go to Muffler Man: 1. someone recommended it about three years ago. 2. Its the closest auto shop to me. Ive had the following done to my car since Joe has been the manager: alternator, I had a short circuit and they couldnt find it, so they had to bypass something so the car would stay charged. Fuel Pump, tire, probably three oil changes. Ive had them put air in my tires. I had them check the brakes; because they were squeaking; the previous crew had replaced the brakes about three months before. Two examples of there reasonable prices: They spent the whole day trying to find the short circuit. My son talked to a friend of his whos a mechanic and he said the price they quoted to fix it was very reasonable. He said if I took it some place else they would probably spend the whole day trying to find the short circuit and who knows what they would charge you. Second, someone told me that they thought what I payed for the fuel pump was pretty reasonable.

This place is horrible went to get my water pump done. And they charged me 175$ when I didn’t need a water pump. Them they told me it would cost st me 600$ to fix my heater return hose and they drilled a hole in one of my pipes to cost me more money I took to another dealer shop and they told me no way it rusted out there wasn’t even rust it was perfectly drilled holes. I would not recommend this shop to my worse enemy. Took my van to another shop and they fixed for half the price.. they told me I wonder how they going to rigg it no you guys put more damage on my van put a perfect hole in a spot it wasn’t even there before. I am really upset and wouldn’t even recommend them to anyone cause they drilled holes in lines

I stopped in on a whim after my car got very loud over the course of a week. Joe told me he would take a look and let me know. 3 minutes later, he told me exactly what caused it, quoted me a fair price and said he could get into it right away. Less than 15 minutes later I was driving away in a fixed car! When I pulled up to the first traffic light down Fort, I literally thought my car stalled, because it was so quiet, but no - I was just idling. I recommend EVERYONE come see Joe.
