Tons of women’s clothes and purses! Housewares and shoes galore! You can always find a bargain with the daily 50% tag colors or the 99€ color tag of the day. If you pay regular price on items without shopping the daily deals it can be quite overpriced for most things. So I suggest bargain shopping no the sales! Not much at this location for men’s or children’s clothing though.
I didn’t realize to what extent goodwill were shysters. I tried to purchase an item that was very obviously a package set, and they tried charging me twice and without the ability to return/exchange the product. What tremendous business practices.
1. The clothes need to be organized by size. Waste of time searching thru otherwise. 2) Discounts are deceiving. Pay attention when you first walk in. 3) Great assortment of housewares. 4) Clean store and gracious employees.
Upon arriving at this store it was almost three times bigger than any of the other Goodwills in Lincoln! Ive been there about five times now and I still have yet to make it through the entire store! There is so much to look at and it is organized very nicely! The people some of the employees that work there are very customer service friendly. Their prices are very reasonable. Upon my arrival there I assumed that the prices would be a bit higher since it was on the far south side of town but the prices were exactly the same Fair, totally fair prices. I have a hard time going into that store for one thing, LOL. That is probably my favorite place to shop in Lincoln Nebraska I can walk out of that store with brand-name clothing with the tags still on and money in my pocket
It is a nice store they keep it pretty clean and every once in a while you can luck out and find a treasure at a great price.
Very friendly food looks great.
I have always shopped at Goodwill, but I havent picked anything since last year, I compare stuff to what is worth online, and goodwill prices are usually marked higher. For a store that accepts donation, prices are way to high. I understand bills must be paid, but the merchandise is free and you are tax-exempt, so much for helping the community.
Store has a great selection of items. Always have great luck with the home decor section. Books are always a plus too. Check out is almost always fast with minimal wait time.
Good place for clothes and books and some electronic things.
Chances are that you will find a treasure that you enjoy here. But, the price will be a solid 20-30% more than it should. They sort clothing by color, which I find unhelpful, and they sell smaller collectors items like, toys, etc in bags. So if your looking for individual treasures that may make your task a little harder.
Two items identical price differently, would not match pricing. He told me it was the luck of the draw. This Goodwill is consistently not customer oriented and more times than not, come off rudish.
For good stewardship of your community, donate your used clothes or otherwise to The City Mission, St. Theresas, Matt Talbot, St. Louise, The Center for People in Need etc. to name a few, other than here.
Would have been nice to have a better selection of womens clothing that where xl and more summer shirts. I literally saw almost all sweat shirts.
U could not believe how disorganized this store was! No size indicators and items were not put in any real order.
No fitting rooms and no returns, so dont bother trying to clothes shop. At least its bigger than other Lincoln Goodwills.
Very clean and organized with a big variety. The prices however seem to however seem to be going up. It is sad to see them pricing things from Dollar Tree at $5.99.
I have been shopping for years at Goodwills to find good deals, however they have raised prices - no more good deals. Many items you can find for same price or less at retail stores. As an example 5.99 for kids used shorts, can go to tj maxx and get new Nike shorts for same price. Lincoln Goodwills are losing customers to Omaha Goodwills as prices are much more reasonably priced there.
This is the largest Goodwill in Lincoln. They have a color coordinated selection of clothing for both men and women. There is a section of house where and furniture and games and luggage and vacuums and a whole bunch of books. All the employees were helpful and provided some type of service food expect from Goodwill
Prices are over rate in my opinion. These are donated clothes. I can buy new ones, especially on clearance, cheaper. The one thing which caused me to give a low review, no changing rooms to try on the clothes. If the prices were a lot cheaper, I would have taken a chance.
I like come to your stores but ther are thing that was Over priced it is all free to you and we have to pay New price, I see a Pearse had a hole in it and it had A $15.99 price tag on it Other than that I like going to the stores because I do find unusual things and interesting things
I found another great deal! Best Goodwill in Lincoln. ☺️
Prices are pretty high. Lots of inventory due to higher prices slowing down sale of merchandise. Not overly organized but better than in the past.
Why dont I come here everyday! I love this place. The only reason for four stars is that I dont always understand their pricing system. Some things are a bit high.
Crazy busy and chaotic store but found some good stuff..
Clean store with lots of selection. Neatly organized as well.
I shopped while my husband was unloading a truck load of stuff from my moms house. I could hear them unloading it and the glassware breaking as they did. I guess all the careful wrapping we did was not enough compared to how they were treated. I felt bad that those things my mom cherished were treated so horribly. I will never take anything to them again. They could care less about donations. Honestly the worst day today, my heart is breaking.
My total was $17 and some change, the worker did NOT ask me if i wanted to round up change or not. i had my card charged expecting to see the correct amount withdrawn only to see the worker lied to me and rounded up my change anyways without asking me first. the worker did not ask my permission to round up change and charged my card a different total than what was verbalized to me. the principle is what matters more than me being out 30 some odd cents
Very clean. But overpriced.Overall great customer service
BETH store manager experience review:Love this location! Thrifting had become a great deal of comfort to me since an unfortunate accident that has left me with some physical complications. But I love employees here at on Apple Way! They have always been so kind and helpful to me there.$1 days are a wonderful store sales strategy! Its a bit of a shuffle for some but the thrill is never short of exciting!I must say Im a young fella and a bit of a rascal at times.Today I was graciously called out by the store Manager on duty BETH, which handled a situation with honest authority yet perfectly reasonable action and integrity. She took the time to patiently listen to me as I expressed my argument. Yet still handled her own reasoning with sympathy and a strong leadership standpoint as a manager ought to be.I wish more managers had the patience and discipline to handle these types of situations as she did today!Thank you BETH for being kind and fair in how you handled the issue you saw needed attention! Not only did she handled the situation wonderfully she also suggested a solution by pointing out another sale date that could potentially be better option for someone under my circumstances.Thank you BETH or not tarnishing my love for goodwill thrifting. Can anyone give this woman a pay raise !?-j
For a 2nd hand store where the supply is donated they are priced too high.
If it doesn’t have a price tag on it they take the item and put it in the back and tell you to come back tomorrow and hopefully it’s there? Like what?
Great finds but you have to shop often.
Lots of stuff there, only thing is it is all priced way too high. The aisles are too small for all the stuff they have. I purposely avoid this place mainly because there is no where to park and it is always packed to the brim full of people. If you dont like crowds and overpriced items, do not come here.
Had a good selection of clothes
Extremely overpriced, most of the clothes are outdated and still want $5, items are shoved all over on shelves no real order to them.
Has great items the majority of the time. Worker coud be more alert, pricings on purses and shorts are a little over the top. In general the best goodwill to go to for interesting finds.
My kid loves coming here and getting various random items and turning them into decor for the home or a one of a kind outfit item.
Jewelry in show case is overpriced. (Disclaimer)They dont know what the metal or stones are made of. ????All that glitters is not nesseccearly gold, and all that sparkles is not a diamond.
It seems that they are very over priced. I have come by 3 times in the past weeks looking for certain kinds of cookware and on 2 separate occasions heard large crashes of donations breaking in the back. Do not seem to be careful with donations. You cannot try anything on and, again, prices are too high for a thrift store.
It was great. I recommend.
Whats up with the increase in prices? Unbelievable! Ive been to goodwill all over Nebraska, South Dakota, Missouri, Iowa and Tennessee. Lincoln tops out as the most expensive now. Im talking about everything but clothing. Sheesh!
Always clean and usually find something good.
Nice organized rows high prices
They have prices as if it were all new ..... it is better to go buy something new than used. definitely!!!!
A lot of variety. Nice stuff and very clean. Prices keep getting higher tho.
Very nice things and organized well
The worst goodwill in history. Overpriced af. If I could give zero stars, I would
Never disappoints! Always find something awesome at this store and the employees are very helpful.
It was very cluttered and many things were over priced.
I just had to bide my time now they have plenty thanks for responding
The prices are way higher than they used to be and its the same quality of stuff
When checking out at this store they would not sell a towel I wanted because it didnt have a tag on it. Manager didnt even try to find a price. I bought two wine glasses and clerk was not going to wrap them. When complained the clerk got upset with me and grudgingly put them in separate bags. Will not be back.😡😡😡😡
Apparently there are no more dressing rooms at this location (Hwy 2 in Lincoln, NE). Im like 3 different sizes depending on the brand. I know these clothes are discounted in price, but I still dont want to pay for 5 pairs of shorts so that I can try them on at home and have none of them work.
Lots of items to choose from. Store is clean & Staff are friendly
NO FITTING ROOMS. I used to love going to this Goodwill but when I went in a week ago, I was told by one of the employees that they got rid of the fitting rooms because too many people were stealing. So this is a clothing store that receives all of its items for free via donation but cant provide fitting rooms because too many people were stealing. Okay.
The problem with rifling through my truck load of donations to pick out the things you want and the things you dont, is the 3 other truck loads I need to move today which you arent going to get to rifle through... Donating things is supposed to leave you feeling like you did a good deed... You think we do it for tax deductions?
Very rude employees and sounds like they were cussing in the back of the store
This is a very large Goodwill and relatively newer. Easily one of the largest ones in both Omaha and Lincoln. It usually has a very good selection of clothing. It is one of our absolute go-to places for Goodwill items.
Poor customer service and lack of understanding
I love this place, it always has what you need
I was shopping for mens dress coats. There were no price tag on the coats so I asked an employee how much the costs were. The employee had to go ask and came back with the price after doing so. When I got to the cashier, I was charged a different price and politely told the cashier that I was given a different price from an employee. The cashier wouldnt budge on the price so I went to find the employee that helped me earlier. The employee again told the cashier that the price I was being charged wasnt correct. The cashier still didnt care and told the employee that they were wrong on the price. A manager was called over and the cashier was indeed incorrect on the price. The cashier was honestly a complete bully in my opinion. You dont argue with a co-worker in front of customers. Respect whats being told to you by your co-worker who asked a manager to begin with and discuss the issue behind closed doors. Extremely rude and disappointing in my opinion. Otherwise great deal on the coats I got. I really wish I couldve remembered the employee that stood their ground and looked out for me after being told no youre not right. Thank you!!
Proud of their junk......used to love going, now theres really no point. You might as well just buy things new if you have to pay full price. Kind of makes you wonder how much of the money is really going to good will as they raise prices. Their items are donated.......kind of concerning. I wonder how much the CEO makes a year......hmmmm.
Love when they have 1/2 off!!
Always enjoy shopping at this location!
Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER!!! I USE to go here looking for items I use in my crafting projects. I came across wood wheels laying on a shelf, I took them to the counter to get a price on them and they brought up the Manger to price them for me and she accused me of taking them off of something!! I was asked what I did with the rest of it?!?! Seriously! I have been a retail Manager for 20 years and would never dream of treating someone that way. I WILL NEVER go back. Plus you have to charity this money goes to The Goodwill is a complete fraud!
Went to this store at 545 & was told by employees that they are closed with no explanation. Posted hours are 10am-6pm but apparently employees are allowed to close up at will? They had other customers herded to the checkout to boot them from the store too.
After reopening from covid 19, prices are laughable they are priced way to high for second hand junk. Prices are almost retail at this point. Wont be returning soon.
I would have given if there was a dressing room. But no. Otherwise good stuuf.
If they were to price things....I dont know like a thrift store should, they would sell more items. There were 5 or 6 items that I would have purchased but I could have bought new for a few dollars more. Several people in there today shares the same sentiments. There was actually a sound bar priced for 29.99 and you can actually buy that exact sound bar new for 29.99. why would anyone buy it used ? Wake up good will you get these items for free! I realize you have employee s and utilities, but we all know that a business like this makes its profit on volume.
This Goodwill has a bunch of hidden gems. My family and I like to call this the Rich Peoples Goodwill due to the surrounding area attracts higher paying customers. Due to this I have seen many designer jeans, jackets, purses and shoes here.
I used to love coming here but I went today and found out that they took away the dressing rooms. It was really disappointing because it is hard for me to find clothes that fit right and trying on the clothes helped me with the decision on my purchase.
I found what I needed quickly and with the help of the staff got it in my car with ease. I enjoyed my visit at the goodwill. I did leave my phone there and when I came back for it I didnt get much help finding it. But, thank God a patron had picked it up and I got it back.
Do they have to make SO much noise in the back room??
Store was ok.. I believe it could be a little better with just even a little effort..
I was disappointed, though not surprised. The selection of mens clothes is limited and you really have to watch what century some of the items are from. As a larger individual, the selection is even lower. There are rows of womens garments, but I cant speak to the selection. If you are trying to outfit your first kitchen and not too picky there are lots of options with even a few treasures mixed in. Im sure there were employees around, but most of them seemed to be in the back. The place is reasonably clean and organized.
Very nice store with a nice selection. Friendly staff. Only suggestion is to have more registers open when you have a big sale like today.
This is a good big store with late hours. I always go here first when I need an appliance kind of item. Surprise purchases all the time I dont expect.
Bought a end table for bed with 2 drawers got home later to realize less then 2 weeks later they had bed bug egg underneath the the table. So now fighting hopefully only one room. (Found them early so hopefully we will beat them.) Eggs hatched after we brought it home.
Workers where nice but place was absolutely trashed, I came in only 7 minutes after opening. Everything was misorganised, cloths on the floor, everything but the wares, ornaments and Christmas stuff out was just in disarray. Will not be returning to this particular location.
I feel like a lot of this stuff has been used.
Love this store! I dont go to department stores anymore. I always find something whether it be clothes for my kids, myself, my husband, or the house.
The loud noise in the back is Awful!! You hear glass breaking. Other then that I get cool stuff for learning for kids. Nice manners from workers. Just wish the noise in back would stop it!!
Overpriced for the quality of items. Also, not a lot of the good stuff most suit and sport coats are mini-mall brands. Low end. Location is nice enough and the people were nice. No real paintings with the exception of one. The mass majority of the bookoos of stuff on the wall are just prints. And not signed and numbered limited edition prints either. Just your run of the mill mass produced stuff.
Ok
Was pretty busy and good person to get help at this Goodwill.
I used to love finding clothes here. NOT ANY MORE! YES you can exchange within 7 days but for similiar. HOW CAN WE BE EXPECTED TO PURCHASE USED CLOTHES WITHOUT TRYING ON! Cant even replace what doesnt fit with something you know WILL fit. I can honestly say, I will no longer be shopping at any goodwill store in the future. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED!!
One of the better locations in town, but then its the newest too. Could be a bit more organized though.
After walking the store and looking at prices Im appalled! They are matching amazon prices and this stuff was free to them... if you have stuff to give away the give it away dont donate to these scammers.
Wonderful place to buy books... hardcover for $1.99 and paperbacks for $0.99.
Way over priced for things that are donated to you!
Where they sell the movies and cds n books there a sign that says mixed media 99 cents unless marked. They do not follow that sign they false advertisement and the assistant manager Jason will sit there and argue with you about and say they was all marked that someone unmark them. They price items that came from dollar store higher than what the dollar store sticker says and they leave it on there.
No fitting rooms?? Used to be my favorite Goodwill in town but now there is no place to try on clothing. How can someone be expected to buy used clothing that tends to be fairly old without a chance to test the fit? Extremely silly. And when asked about it an employee had a snarky little attidue. This Goodwill has lost a long time donator and supporter.
Nice seletions of not new items for home decor. Prices seem higher the last 2 times Ive stopped there.
A great place to find economy purchases it with a great selection
Great selection, nice ties
This Goodwill store is very large and always has a large variety of good finds of all types.
I was trying to buy an item today....mind you store so packed no place to park. As I was checking out with my FULL cart, over $100 the cashier called the manager to the register. Is this price right? No, said Beth, someone changed the price, looking straight at me with a TON of people around!! I showed her the RED sticker wasnt cracked, torn or anything showing itd been changed. She then proceeded to change the price from 99 cents to 3.99!!! I have never been so embarrassed in my life!! I WAS a goodwill manager. You do not accuse your customers and with all the stuff I was buying, really . Then after I said then you can keep it all, she started smirking at me!!!!!!
There staff was very helpful and there were a lot of them working.
Nice and clean. Good place to look for stuff.
