I have a great experience at vision works. I book my appointment stating I have no insurance and the wonderful lady at front desk told me I had great insurance coverage I was planning to spend 400 or more and end up spend 120. The person who did my eye preparation was very nice and I enjoyed our conversation. The doctor was quick and very informative. The. person at the end was very handsome and professional. The whole staff is great..They make the perfect team.

If I had known how bad the service was here, I would have gone to a different Visionworks, or a completely separate business!Tuesday, July 20th: Go in for an eye exam and to get new glasses. Exam goes well, prescription hasnt changed in over 5 years, nice. Go to select frames and lenses. I was thinking about getting transitions, but I remember being told that they are not effective after 2 years, associate states that she has seen people with transitions for 6 years, which convinces me. Spoiler alert: she was wrong. Nonetheless, went ahead and ordered my pair.Monday, July 26th @ 1800: Looked at the tracking and found that my glasses were delivered earlier in the day, around 1330ish, but didnt hear from them. Called and was told that it was ready, and asked if I received and email; nope. Went in, got my glasses, walked out, and immediately disappointed about the transitions. Later find out that they take 30 seconds to darken, and then about 2 minutes to come back to normal, was not informed of this when I chose to get them.Tuesday, July 27th @ 1125: Went back in to get a remake, stated I wanted lenses without transitions. Associate tells me no prob, but manager has to sign off on it, and that a manager will call me before it is sent out. Sent me on my way without any paperwork since they said the system was down that day. Alright, no worries. Ill wait to hear back.Wednesday, July 28th @ 1558: Over 24 hours after I was told a manager would reach out to me, I called and asked about the status. Was told by another associate that manager will definitely get back to me; manager was not in yesterday. Alright, Ill wait patiently.Friday, July 30th @ 1221: Now its been 3 days and STILL I have not heard from anyone, neither associate nor manager. I call in, and yet another associate tells me that a manager will DEFINITELY get back to me later today or tomorrow as they are understaffed. This is getting a little absurd.Saturday, July 31st @ 1821: Getting pretty fed up, I head to store to either a) cancel the whole transaction, or b) get my frames back and go to another location to deal with this. I was shown by Sandra that my frames were sent out late Friday to have the remake done and the price difference was being credited to my account which will take a few days. Thats right, no call, no email, nothing. But, at least something was done after all this time.Wednesday, August 4th @ 1846: I find my tracking details online since I had still not got an email about my remake, and find that it was delivered around 1430ish. Not wanting to wait till the next day, I go in. Admittedly, while it was close to closing time, I still had time. 2 associates saw me, with one walking to the door, unlocked it, and confirmed that I was just coming to pick up. While she bolted the door closed, both her and the other associate were complaining about the working environment and the manager in front of me. I dont remember what the exact words were, no cussing was used, but the words were strong. While I understand working with fewer bodies than normal can be annoying among other things, I think such verbiage should not be heard by a customer.In conclusion; I would never go back to that location again, even though its only a 10ish minute drive for me, I would MUCH rather go to the Elston location, or a completely different optical retailer.
I came in to get lenses done on a pair of frames I purchased at Nordstrom, because I did not like any of the frames they offered First, my order was three weeks delayed. They called me to tell me that they lost my patient owned $500 frames and that I can come in to select a pair from their store. I said I was not interested in that and that I wanted a full refund for the pair that they lost - havent heard back from anyone in two weeks. I call daily and no one is calling me back. If I ever get my frames, I would never take my business to vision works and this unorganized chaos they call customer service, do not recommend them to anyone.
Had an appointment they called day before in afternoon while at work, closed when able to call back so I confirmed the appointment thru email they send me that day. Fill out admissions forms and everything. Next day get reminder email for them confirming appointment at 1:07pm. Get there for my appointment at 4 and told they cancel it need to reschedule. Waste of time called customer service and they no help only would reschedule for the following week
The eye doctor did a nice job. But I had moved out of town and my prescription to purchase glasses. I was told on a Friday by a representative that only a manager could e-mail it to me and the manager would be in Monday. I call Monday only to be to both managers there were busy. BUT only the general manager could e-mail it to me and I would have to call back tomorrow. If I were in town I would have just gone by the store to pick up a copy of the prescription.I am so sorry for doing with Lincolnwood Vision Works... I feel like I wasted my time and money.

At the time of ordering my glasses the technician told me that he will check for any adjustments at the time of pick up.Well I went to pick up my glasses today and requested the front desk lady for a technician to check up for any adjustments. She refused to call for a technician and was kind of rude dealing with me.
I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. They check your temperature and have you sanitize before coming in which is awesome. They also sanitize in front of you before using any machinery.The girl that was helping me whom i forgot to get her name was so friendly and made great conversation. She was able to get me checked in and also look up my insurance coverage. Dr. Khanh Ngo, was so nice and very friendly, she is one of the sweetest doctors i have met. I felt comfortable and the overall experience was great. I ended up getting two pairs of glasses which im so excited to get when they arrive. They have a wide variety of frames and they always have great deals and will work with you. Definitely give them a call to see if you are covered and they have excellent customer service!
Jayne was very compassionate and patient when helping my mom. We had to come back a number of times since it was hard to adjust to the new pair of glasses and she was very understanding. She made a great pair of lenses and was very informative. It made a big difference when deciding to go ahead with the second pair of lenses. Mom was comfortable because Jayne is a very experienced lab technician. Wish all the glasses could be made onsite with Jayne like in the past instead coming from the Texas lab. The week before Jocelyn also was very kind and made some good suggestions to adjust to the first new pair of glasses for a week and see if it helps before returning to an older prescription or deciding to keep the new one. Sandra helped with the original order and later discovered why the new glasses were missing but a second pair of lenses were ready to be cut when we returned after a couple weeks of placing the order. She explained the delay with the new glasses was due to sending them back to Texas since they didnt meet standards. It all took a number of weeks, but the caring customer service at the Touhy store made a difference.
I showed up early for my eye appointment and despite being busy with other patients, Nil was attentive to all of my questions. She even showed me which frames would flatter me. Nil showed no hesitation to help as soon as I walked in the door. The other staff were also very welcoming. Highly recommend this location!
I love going to this Visionworks on Touhy Ave the staff are extremely helpful. On Friday 23rd, my Glasses the handle was completely broken.I showed up to Visionworks after Five in the afternoon. Dawn and Elizabeth provided Excellent Customer service to me. They actually ordered a new frame from another store because my eyeglasses were no longer in stock there. They called me on Monday” Adele your frames are here” Jocelyn installed the lenses. It only took a few minutes and they were in place. Jocelyn was also very professional and has Excellent Customers Service skills. Overall my experience with Visionworks was beyond Exceptional. The ladies here are superstars. Nil was especially helpful and attentive when I came in for an exam and to get some contacts. Shes friendly and efficient while providing quality customer service. Ill definitely be going back in for my next exam!

They are always patient, courteous accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.I love their services so much that even though my insurance changed I came back here to get the actual prescriptions filled and only used the insurance provider for my free exam.Highly recommended!!!!
4 star because Dr Leonidas jacked up my prescription.... but Jayne Z was very helpful in fixing the issue. She set me up with another eye exam at no cost and found that the prescription Dr Leo gave me was way off.... smh. Customer service was good.Dawn also helped me on my first visit. She was solid. 👍(Will revise feedback depending on how my next eye exam goes.)

The worst customer service reps. I had just got there and needed some questions answered. I noticed three reps notice me and all three didnt respond. They are standing around doing nothing until another one appears from the back and approaches them and points to me and even then they seem to bicker to whom is going to help me. I walk away.

Loved my visit today at vision work in in Lincoln mall.Jayne made my trip there worth me getting up on my off day just to finally take care of me, excellent communication, customer ser service she made me fill like we were girl friend shopping together for glasses, and the Dr. Was wonderful she informed me on my eye health that i was not a ware of thank you vision works.
I have been coming here for the past few years to stock up on contact lenses and make sure my glasses are OK. I cant give this place five stars because Ive had a couple gripes here, but I MUST give it at least four stars for Sandra alone. She is the friendliest, most professional and easy to talk to. Every single time I come in there over the years, she always helps me pick out great glasses and is honest when they dont fit my face. This year I sat there blabbing with her so long that the eye dilation didnt seem to take nearly as long as it does when I go to other places. Plus she always helps me find the best deals for the store discounts and my health insurance. If she ever quit Visionsworks, I would be so disappointed.Now for the downside:Im still a bit wary of the optometrist this year asking me do I see floaters and I told her, Yes, occasionally I do. She said, Uh huh, OK and kept on talking. I stopped her immediately and asked her did she want me to do anything about it. She said, No, just tell me when you see more of them. I mentioned that she hadnt asked me how many Id seen in the first place. Her response AGAIN was Just tell me when you see more floaters than you already do. That just doesnt sound very scientific to me, but its also not a particular concern to me because its every blue moon. My issue was she never bothered to ask me.So why am I giving this place four stars anyway? My contacts and glasses are always good quality and cheaper than I pay at other locations. There was one optometrist there a couple of years ago who consistently kept trying to get me to buy overly expensive contacts but could never tell me the difference between those and the brand Id been wearing. He just kept saying my brand was old. Once I purposely never went to him and revisited the optometrist who has questionable views on floaters, I paid less and got quality contacts and glasses again.
There were issues with the glasses I purchased--either the prescription was not entered correctly or the lenses were not furnished properly. When I asked for a refund I was told it would take three weeks for the ACH to clear on my bank account. Would not recommend.

My expensive frames broke on Friday. This is the second time Ive bought frame from here. I was simply cleaning my glasses, and they snapped in the middle when I was handling them lightly. This is the second time Ive bought glasses from this location and the frames broke in half.Before they broke on Friday, I called a few months back about scratches on my lens to find out what could be done. They told me nothing could be done. They couldnt buff them because of the coating is what they explained. They didnt offer any solution. They just said sorry.Friday I went to a totally different store called Big City Optical in Chicago, IL as I am due for an eye exam and I told them about my experiences with Visionworks as they were asking where Ive been shopping the last two years. The new store mentioned that I should have been offered new lens by Visionworks when I called about my scratched lens a few months back. They stated that if the scratches occurred within 12 months of purchase then I should have been offered new lens. I was so upset when this other store told me this.Ill never get anything from any Visionworks ever again, especially this location.Not all of the staff there is bad, but whoever answered the phone when I called about my scratched lens a few months ago should have offered to help somehow.

I spent almost $ 500 for terrible quality glasses and when I came there to remove the little stains, I was told that I was supposed to get new prescription and completely change my lenses. Even though, my glasses were less than 2 years old!! I told them that it’s ok for me to pay for service but even after speaking to the manager I was still getting forced into buying a new pair! When I told them Im not willing to do so, they had no further interest in the conversation! I left with my stained glasses and very disappointed, horrible customer service! Customer doesnt mean anything at this place!Stay away, dont waste your money and energy!

The people at reception were extremely rude and the OD I had was not personable at all! The Golf Mill location is so much better, don’t waste your time here.

I walked in about a month ago to look at frames. I was there for about 15 minutes. Not a single person approached me. Not one. Today was no exception. I am in the market for both contact lenses and eye glasses. I walked in. No one greeted me. I looked at frames for a few minutes. Still no one greeted me. I walked out...no one said anything. I could be mistaken but this Visionworks didnt want my business.
I have never written a review in my life, that being said i needed to write this one.I made an appointment for my 5 year old daughter who needed an eye exam for school this year, everything was fine until it was time to look into the eye machine at which point she started to freak out. I cannot say enough about the way the whole staff but especially Alex handled this situation, what an absolute pleasure to have a staff behave like that in that situation, we could not be happier with the whole experience and will return to this Visionworks for all our future needs.
VERY PLEASED. I came in as an emergency to get glasses for my daughter the same day and the staff was very pleasant and professional. The female doctor took her time in explaining everything and I walked out with her glasses in an hour.

I went in here once for an eye exam. In and out in half hour. Good service from the staff and Dr. Good price as well. I think I only paid $20 cuz there was a sale.
I walked in on SAT 06/15 around 5pm for a replacement pair of glasses. The Cashier(short, young female hispanic) had the worst attitude, poor judgement and unenthusiastic ... She acted like she was doing me a favor, did not even took the time to take my insurance, I would have paid cash like last time due to the rush to get my glasses .. Vision worksmore likely Vision does Not work, your staff need to be re-trained or at least have some courtesy, you lost a paying customer, well two since my wife was getting 2 pair of glasses as well. Will never return to that place, I am not writing this out anger but this place is the winners circle of optometrist and ophthalmology, dont get glasses from here.. walk down the hall to LensCrafters and save yourself some trouble,Latinos NOO COMPRE Lentes aqui
After 6 pairs of glasses giving me headaches, over a 4 month time frame, they finally got them right. This place is, by far, the worst eye glass and optometry service I have ever been to. It took the optometrist twice to get the prescription correct. The customer service is poor. He only person there thats competent is the manager Alex, and hes never there. I will never go to another Visionworks ever again.
They are the greatest employees and friendly people with big smiles. Very Satisfied.
Joscelyn and Dr. Ngo were extremely helpful, and helped in the decision making over frames and lenses. We were in and out of there in less than an hour, and prices were very reasonable.
They want $160 for to put lenses in my own frame and I have my own prescription.
This place is terrible! I can recall I time when I went to them to have my glasses tightened and they returned them to me damaged. I notified one of the employees about it and they told me how were they to know if it wasnt damaged before bringing it in. The audacity of her! After a long back and forth with them I was able to get a new pair! I will not recommend this place its so unorganized and a mess! Employees are untrained and clearly unprofessional!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The technician who helped me inadvertently charged me $500 instead of $50. I called and spoke to a manager by the name of Dawn regarding the charge. Dawn was very rude and didnt want to help.
Costumer service was awful. I didnt feel welcomed at all. I said hi to the attendants, and they just stared at me. When I asked them about something they didnt seem interested in helping me. Definitely not coming back.
