My wife ordered BBQ steak kabobs, with veggies, and fries. Order came with no fries, but a salad. Waitress came back said she brought order to wrong table, took dish to a table next to us. Another waitress comes out apologizes, takes dish back from other table, and tells us and the other couple both dishes will be redone. My wife dish comes out, and the fries were warm, but the veggies and steak kabobs were cold. Tell waitress, who said it was not cold and it was fresh, without even touching the dish or meat, or investigating and stalks off. Near as I could tell they gave us initial dish which was served to two different tables, since both the meat and veggies were cold. Will never eat here again.
Employees there are wonderful. The bartender was super fun and friendly. Although the electricity went out and we were unable to eat my experience there was great and would absolutely go back. Thank you...
Very very very good food. This place has deep fried linguica! Nobody ever told me that that existed. And Ive been missing out all this time. You got to try the appetizers for sure. Burgers was great shrimp cocktail was fabulous! And beers were cold. Our server, Heather, was a bright and shining star. She found me outside waiting for her my other parties and directed me indoors to the most perfect table for us. She did her job well and was very friendly. We appreciated her very much. Good food good service good prices. Cant beat it.
Im in town for a family event and we went here for lunch/breakfast. It was so good! It was very busy and we waited about 30mns for a table bit it was well worth it! The bloody Mary was delish and a little Spicer than I expected. The breakfast shot with Jamison, butterscotch schnapps, and orange juice with bacon chaser was surprisingly tasty. For our appetizer we had the breaded, deep fried avocado slices. They were crispy on the outside and soft and rich in avocado flavor on the inside. The chipotle aoli that accompanied the avo spears was excellent and had a lovely smokey mild spice it. For my entre I ordered the namesake dish of the restaurant, Riatas signature Mexican Eggs Benedict. I sometimes dont enjoy chorizo due to the excessive grease that can come with it, this preparation was lovely though. The eggs were cooked perfect and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft in the center, perfect! I will be back(maybe even once more on this trip) and would recommend it to a friend.

Taco Tuesday!!! Brought my friend in for Taco Tuesday yesterday and had a blast. $1 tacos (ground beef, grilled chicken or shredded pork) $2 draft, $3 margaritas. My kids had hot chocolates, which came out piping hot and covered in whip. Witching hour for kids is around 8pm, after that you just have a kid in a bar lol! The deal goes from 5-10 pm though. Theres nachos and a quesadilla on the Taco Tuesday menu too, and though I dont remember the price, we ordered both 🤤 We all had an assortment of tacos, I had beer and my friend had margaritas. Total for a dinner for 5... $44! Tip your servers well, this place is super busy, and they work their butts off 🤣🤘🌮😘✌🔥

Every visit I have made here has been during lunch hour. I typically get a burger and a tall beer. They serve your usual domestic brews but what I like is that they serve craft beer from local breweries. A tall Maui Waui from Altamont beer works is my current go-to when I visit.The bacon wrapped jalapenos are really good as a starter. The burgers are great! Western, Hawaiian, PMS burger are all good choices but you really cant go wrong with whatever you decide to choose. Today I had a Reuben sandwich with thousand island sauce and a side of fries. They also offer sweet potato fries which are yummy. The house mustard is really good if you want someone other than ranch or ketchup to dip your fries in. Outdoor seating is very nice and they also have indoor seating and a bar area if you prefer that. I personally prefer eating outside with the weather being so nice right now. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite.
The SO hadnt been in years, but always bragged about the breakfast shot and bloody mary. Im not an early drinker, so i stuck with coffee and water. The place was hoppin at 10am on super bowl sumday, as expected. We sat out front and enjoyed the sun and fresh air. I ordered the mexican benidict w/tots while he enjoyed a generously portioned country fried steak with potatoes. Every thing was excellent. 10/10 will eat there again

This was one of the first places we came to when we moved to Livermore 20 ish years ago. Good food and good people. I usually get their ribs if we go for dinner, and all of the breakfast foods are good- especially when paired with one of their yummy bloody Marys! We usually end up there after the Livermore Half Marathon to refuel (hopefully the half marathon comes back next year!) Its a great, no frills kind of place! And I love that they keep the Old Livermore vibe by paying tribute to the local ranchers and cowboys!
Was a great place to have breakfast. Now they changed hours to open at 9Am who opens at 9 for breakfast raised the prices. You are a cowboy place with down home food and cooking not a high end restaurant prices went up 4 dollars on some items over 25% wish it stayed how it was 6 months ago!
Ive been coming here for awhile now and I love their beer selection and the burgers are great. The staff are very friendly and after a while they get to know you.

Casual, friendly, efficient, tasty, and reasonable. Mckenzie (our server) was a delight. Will be making Riata one of our go to spots as they have definitely found a way of making you feel normal during a decidedly abnormal period in history.

Went there for the chicken fried steak. Dry, over cooked and gravy was ok. I have been going there for years. Waitress gets 5 stars. She took it back. The re-do was ok. Not as over cooked but disappointing in flavor. And I got charged extra for gravy that was used on the first dry piece. Very disappointing. There are other restaurants in Livermore that make a good chicken fried steak. I wont be back.
Philly sandwuch the meat was very tuff,unchewable and not able to swallow. Not impressed at all.
Overall pretty tasty. Lotta mayo in their coleslaw though. Still worth going too. My wife and I like their food. Burgers and salads are legit.

We were so excited to have yummy Brunch here only to see patrons waiting outside with no masks. The cooks didn’t have on masks which you can see when you use the restrooms from the back. There is a sign out front that threatens $100 fine for no masking. Who is caring right now. Very disappointing.

Its been awhile since we ate at the Riata, and yesterdays breakfast was the best Ive had. The home-made hash was great, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. If youre in the mood, Rista serves the best Bloody Mary in town.
Flew in from NY to see family. Went to Riata for late breakfast. Food quite good. But apparently covid 19 does not exist at the Riata. Many people waiting in line with no masks. Daughter went to restroom and said cooks wore no masks and wait staff took theirs off when entering the restaurant. Whats up with that Livermore. You are too cool for this pandemic? California chic!!

The Riata is just a warm, friendly place. The staff is wonderful and the food is great.A couple must haves:. Taco Tuesday is absolutely phenomenal. If you get there early enough you can snag up their pork belly tacos before they run out, but if theyre out, the dollar tacos do not disappoint, nor do the nachos.The breakfast shot is a delight. Its something I take any visiting family/friends out to have.The fried chicken dinner is also fantastic.All in all, its a place my wife and I both love and will continue to go to.
I like going here on Taco Tuesdays specifically for the dollar tacos and three dollar draft beers, both of which are good. They have several types of sauces on each table to choose from as well in case you feel like the food needs a bit extra spice or flavor. The servers also seem to have good work ethics, so you can rely on them at least trying their best given the situation.

Great fried zucchini, just so you know, they dont under salt their food, they dont salt it AT ALL and expect the customer to salt their food because they paid for only 95% of the service and the other 5% is the customers job. Burger was bland.
This is my first visit here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My server was taking my beverage order only a minute after I sat down. My food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Everything was cooked perfectly. I was impressed because this all happened during a Saturday morning breakfast rush. I will definitely be back.
I was excited when I looked at the menu. I love trying new place. We went on a slow day. However, that was the problem. It was slow and we waited for a good 10 minuets for someone to greet us. We were seated and never greeted. We ended up walking out with no one ever saying a word to us. We saw other people being helped unfortunately we won’t go back nor would I recommend anyone to go here!
Ate there before a show. Had a hamburger which was excellent. Much better than most other places. It cost more, but got my moneys worth!
Medium rare prime rib not red probably made the day before like the clam chowder. When you don’t see anybody eating there on a Saturday beware. Left an almost full plate behind won’t feed it to my dog. But my mistake the waitress was honest.

We went at about 9:30am and tried to order lunch. Waitress gave me a funny look and I said what you dont serve lunch this early and she said not before 10:30am. It does not state that on the menu or the website. We wouldnt have ever gone there, if we knew we couldnt order lunch. I then ordered biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were hard, definitely not fresh.
I would consider this comfort food in a bar setting. Always very good.

Went for dinner here for our 10th year anniversary :-) Great ambiance and staff. The food, depending on what you ordered was good. I would have said excellent, but my prime rib was disappointing. I ordered it medium and it was raw. I had them put more heat to it and when it came back, it looked like it was doused in boiling water! I replaced my prime rib with a ribeye steak which was much better! I have had breakfast here before and they did not disappoint :-) Other than the prime rib experience, I do recommend Riata Diner for some good eats!

I love the selection of breakfast. The food was good, but the service was not the greatest. Waited a long time to be greeted, brought food and drinks. Food came out incomplete and we were almost finished eating by the time we got the full order. I wont go back by choice, but would give them a second chance if dragged there by a friend.

The food is excellent (their jalapeno poppers are notably amazing). It feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with the bar taking up so much real estate within the premises. That will be a positive to some people and not so much for others. There is also an extremely racist painting in the mens restroom, so its hard to recommend the place just based on that.

First time here(breakfast) busy day because of the car show but the food was delicious! I do recommend the huevos rancheros. So tasty I wanted more and I never want more when I’m stuffed. Ha 😁 it was just a noisy place though.
