I love home Depot over all their competitors. They will help you if you need it. Other store employees hide and run away from you. And home Depot has the best prices!!
I was able to find some items in store... but most of them they have online. So, if you can wait 3-7 days for delivery - good....if not - check other places...they may have it in stock.
What happened to this store! Went to get lumber and found it extremely difficult to even look at it let alone get to it. Took my purchase somewhere else. I understand the higher demand for call in orders, curbside, etc in todays world but why cant this be stored somewhere else for the in store shoppers? You wont find this at lowes or menards to this extent anyway. Home depot may be closer to me but Ill happily go to the other 2 choices before going there.
Its a weird home depot (architecturally) where the exit is pretty far from the entrance. Be sure to park near the exit if you need to pick up a lot of stuff.
I don’t know why but typically only this Home Depot every time I come here nobody wants to help anybody. No one says hi or how are you doing can I find you anything? When I do seek somebody out for help which is not very often I get told I need to talk to somebody else and then I need to talk to somebody else. Then I’m told I’m sorry we can’t find that product right now even though it says you have 96 of them in stock. Oh and by the way they must’ve known this off the top of their head because nobody actually goes to a computer or a handheld to actually check. This location is a serious wake up call.
I cant wait until the great recession rebounds.

I was looking for toilet repair parts. All of the toilet repair packages were missing parts. A very nice female worker had located an unopened package. This toilet repair package was intact.
Make sure they have what you want before making the trip, easy to check online. Deliveries between stores (and a lot to home) are free, just need to wait a day or so. Its my go-to place for project supplies, even weird stuff that needs special orders

Home Depot in Lavonia has always been very kind and helpful to me and my husband there’s a few people there that I always try to see because they help us the most one is Daniel the other is the manager Phil and there’s a couple ladies at the customer service I don’t know all their names but they have always been kind to me but once in a while you get one bad apple let that not spoil the whole store 😇
I attended Home Depot on 4/16/21, and while looking for my item, I noticed an employee who was young man working diligently.The employee politely offered to let everyone in the area know the he was there to assist and answer any questions that we had. Two customers took him up on his offer, and he stopped what he was doing and eagerly answered their questions about a leaf blower and lawnmower spark plugs, in a very friendly manner.Not wanting his appreciated customer service to go unnoticed, I asked him his name and store number and he stated, Corey and 2742.Another customer and I told him that his professionalism was appreciate and asked him to stay at it and he politely thanked us, as we thanked him as well.Keep up the great work Corey from Livonia Home Depot Store 2742.

I love Home Depot! I hate this location with a passion. I asked to speak with a manager once and the employee told me to find one, even though he had a radio.They consistently have aisles filled with some stock you can’t get a cart down them.I wish it wasn’t so close to my home.
Store a little busy but not crowded. Had to wait about 15 minutes before an associate could assist. They were very helpful. No long wait in line to check out.
Your staff reflects your business as a whole, and though due to pandemic many places are short staff. With that being said just don’t hire anyone, people still look for good customer service, especially when they are spending their money. I had the rudest lady in the paint section. I was waiting in line to be serviced among other people behind me. Another customer walks up in front of the line and she decides she is going to wait on them, like she did not see us. I spoke up of course and asked her did she not see me ? Her reply was “ I was busy lol pathetic!!!! Of course that customer had to get behind us, Horrible attitude and rude.
This stores curbside service is the least convenient, biggest waste of time Ive ever experienced as a consumer. Of the four orders Ive picked up at this store, two of them have taken over 30 minutes to receive. This is because the store apparently only had one person that can do curbside orders, and when that person is off for the day or on a break/at lunch, nobody else takes over for them.They already have limited curbside hours compared to other stores, but when I arrived today @ 4PM the parking lot was fairly empty, and I was the only one doing curbside pickup. I had notified in the app that I was on my way, enabled location services so that it could tell when I was close, and told the app what space I was parked in when I arrived. Then I waited, and waited, and waited. I know I waited 30 minutes because due to the previous time this happened, I screencapped my phone when I arrived.If I hadnt gone inside to the pickup counter and gotten the items myself, my wait would have been much longer than 30 minutes. My items were behind the pickup counter, and the customer service staff were unapologetic and nonplussed that nobody was around to fufill the curbside order. Apparently that notification in the app just flies off into the void somewhere.Its truly inconvenient to have to walk into a store after youve wasted half an hour of your day when its 90 degrees outside and you have melting groceries in the car.Im definitely never getting tricked by this again, there is truly nothing more frustrating than knowing that I came during the curbside hours listed in the app, did everything right, and still got punished for it without so much as a half hearted apology.So thats it, Im done with Home Depot curbside - I cant imagine the frustration this would cause in someone with mobility issues or children in the car. Im definitely going to be relying on Menards curbside from now on, as even when theyre packed they manage to check in with you and actually get your items to you!

Super busy on a summer sale Sunday. Needed to do a return of large item. Took long time to get a lift driver to remove it from my trailer. Over an hour. Moral of the story is avoid special returns on busy weekends. Service desk and Pro desk were great.
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They were willing to help explain what kinds of wood to use and paint for what we needed. We were greeted by most employees and it made the experience for two young adults great and taught us a few things about DIY.
Worst store I have ever been too. Cleanly ran by people who have know business running anything.
Went 3 times to get a piece of wood for my new bed frame. It has open slats and i didnt want the new Serta mattress to fall into slats. Helpful young men in the wood cutting area. Ty

Well, I purchase a lawn mower online, in the morning. At 5:15pm the same day I received a text telling me my order is ready for curbside pickup. Curbside closed at 6:00pm. I pulled up to curbside parking at 5:30pm. I followed the app to alert Home Depot curbside, I was at the store. At 6:00pm, and I am still waiting for an employee to bring the mower I purchased to my car. So I go inside, and know one can find my paperwork. Eventually I get my mower, but it took one hour to do it after I got there. I could have gone to Home Depot and purchased my mower, and back home in less time.
I went to rent a truck and the experience was easy. The service could have been better when I called to inquire and to pick it up. You do need ID, proof of insurance and credit card to rent.
I had been happy with the store until recently. There was a new lady at online pickup counter that has a very negative attitude whenever I pick up something. I always say thank you/good night and she just ignored me.

The most awful customer service ever. I will be shopping at Lowe’s. Ordered tile paint online. Next day they delivered me another persons chainsaw. I called them to let them know and inquire about my order. The person on the phone was not helpful at all and had no idea where my order was and said he didn’t know if they could schedule the chain saw to be picked up and said I would have to coordinate with receiving department...he tried to transfer me and I waited on hold. Hung up called customer service who told me the tile paint I ordered was out of stock...he placed a new order for a more expensive option and said he would credit the difference...he also scheduled the chainsaw to be picked up from my front porch. after I agreed to that he told me that they would not credit my original order until they got the chainsaw back! Apparently I am responsible for this chainsaw even though they delivered it to me by mistake! So I called the store back because I no longer wanted to leave a chainsaw out on my porch while no one was there in case something happened to it and they said Phil (the manager would call me back that day) no call back...an employee I believe DJ? Said if he didn’t call she would. I’m at work and Now I just got a call from delivery guy that he’s there to pickup the package. I am going to have to take time out of my day now to go to Home Depot to get this issue taken care of for an issue they caused. Everyone I speak with doesn’t seem to understand that I should not be responsible for fixing this problem...I do not have the time to be waiting on hold, transferred around and physically go in to fix these issues. I am remodeling my home and any future purchases countertops etc will be made at Lowe’s simply because they are much easier to work with.
I have never seen a more disorganized Home Depot in my life. Everyone knows how wide the isles are and I cant navigate a cart down the isles because there are pallets and more pallets of merchandise and garbage blocking the isle-ways. Many employees standing around but I saw nobody trying put anything away. The online inventory does not match actual in store quantities or because inventory is all over the store they do t know where it is. This has been the case on multiple visits over several weeks. Drive a little farther to another store. You will not regret it. The management needs to take a hard look at who and how this store is being managed!
Its so sad how you can have all these employees and only a hand full from each and every shift know they job. I hate when I call to inquire about an item and the employees say yes we have it then you get there and they dont or you looking for something in the store and you have to ask two other people because the one person you asked dont know nothing. Why are yall opened and its freight all over the store ? Thats an accident waiting to happen.
Rental department needs help. Sunday morning and there’s one guy working here. 8 in line and several have left. Needs better organization. Take a number system or something
I picked up a new trimmer / edger. Went looking for an outdoor extension cord. It wasnt where the website said they were. Other than that. No issues at all.

Bought a floor and was told one day install. Turns out, it is 6 days - I can’t take an entire Vacation for a floor install. Wanted to cancel, but was told there would be a restocking fee since it was past the 72 hour window.It was past the 72 hour window because no one ever scheduled the job. I had to call to get it scheduled which is when I was told it would take 6 days.After hours on the phone, I finally have no restocking fee, but they are now holding my money for up to 21 days before they will send me a check.Horrible experience where everyone who helped never knew answers and all gave different answers to basic questions.

Had a list of things i needed for a large project … most employees didnt kno where a single thing was located in the store… just when i was about to leave… Daniel odle happened to be able to help me locate every single thing needed for this large scale project. Knowledgeable staff. Many real pros to give help with projects. Would like to physically try products (sit on briefly) 2 determine comfort...like old vs comfort ht toilet.
Avoid this location at all costs. I came to pickup an online order and they brought me the wrong item. Then proceeded to tell me it will be 20-30 minutes until it’s ready. So, I went in to return some items while I waited. I was given store credit even though I clearly said I didn’t want it. In the end they remedied the situation but for being at Home Depot for an hour for a “ready” curbside order is insane. I won’t be back.

I had a pretty normal visit at the Home Depot there in Livonia. Theyre usually pretty decent out there which is why I go to that one.
I came into the store today and I was completely frustrated when I arrived. I had purchased a flush ceiling mount from homedepot.com and it arrived at my house broken. I had to return the two lights I bought. So that I would be prepared for my project, I ordered two new lights only to see what I purchased for in store pick up wasn’t available either. I was so angry. The lights I had were no good and the new lights weren’t available so I was refunded. Two purchases over $200 tied up for 3-5 days. So when I came across an employee named Wanda, I don’t know how she was able to help my mood but she did! I was looking for lighting that was in store because I needed something right away. She didn’t hesitate to help me. She answered all of my questions and ensured that I was good to go. I couldn’t believe it! Wanda is an amazing employee. She helped me and I’m sure my face looked vicious. She turned my frown upside down. Not only am I pleased with my purchase but she set the remaining tone for the day. Wanda thank you so much! You were truly a blessing to me today!!! I was ready to scream when I walked in and when I walked out I was happy again and ready to attack my housing project.

After waiting in line twice with the wrong screws, and having help sent and stolen twice by lazy men I gave up and stole some help myself. Poor fella was from the wood department though, but he tried his hardest to help me. He just wasnt the help I needed. The help I needed ditched me to help the slothy men instead, and thats why I left sans a screw. Thank you to the people who did try to help me and screw the dude who ditched me twice when I was clearly the one in desperate need of help. Ugh, Ill try a small hardware store next time.*Tip: if you find the item the person is looking for online and it tiny, maybe give them or someone to help more information about the item besides an aisle and bay number. Not enough information when there are that many screws.
Some stores become too big. I needed a few items, and felt like i needed a sherpa and hiking boots to get em.

I had some OSB boards cut and he cut them several times and the cuts were still wrong. I had to recut a piece when I got home
Looked for two items at Menards: an exterior steel door 32 with window and a heavy grade garbage container with attached lid. The did not have either on hand. HD did. Thanks for helping us avoiding a several weeks wait.

I arrived @ Home Depot to return an item and make a purchase.I walked in with my returns already in my buggy.The greeter told me where. I would find what I wanted.Proceed to check out. The Cashier was ready to scan. My item I was. returning.I said, do you take returns? In this line?She said, no. I ask where do you take returns ?Where I walked in! Then she made a call,directing me where to go.Do you have your receipt?Yes, I certainly do?Dont assume ask questions.No Home DepotI DIDNT STEAL THE ITEMI JUST WANTED TO RETURN IT
It sucked! Asked 5 people were I could find a air conditioner cover, after wasting a half hour without finding it! I left the store! What was I thinking in the first place. No move Home Depot forget me.
Try to buy a smart lock, get the paper go to the register, cashier said they dont have it, ask if she could check., because if you can get the paper it means you can purchase you have item on stock, well she said the have it available in one of there stores. One hour away, Seriously 😳
Recurring issues with items showing available on their website (Im talking 10+ of an item) but when placing orders, the items get cancelled off because they are out of stock. This has happened four times now and its absolutely ridiculous that either their stock is that far off, or their employees are so lazy they dont bother to track down the items for the customer. Were done trying to give these guys our business.

Waited 20 minutes for someone to come unlock tools after being called by an another employee so I could spend $300 on a circular saw. No one ever came.Edit: After finally getting help 40 min later I bought the saw and it was previously used and broken. Great work home depot!
They dont answer the phone ever. Tried multiple times waited 10 minutes each, no answer. Also store was a mess last time I was there, could barely walk down some rows.
Went to the kitchen department to order granite counter top and sink. Nobody was working in that department nobody could help me. Very disappointed.

This is the slowest and worst customer service I’ve had. I moved to Michigan from Atlanta, and it’s a big DIFFERENCE. No one asks you if you need help, every department rep I needed has not been at their station. It’s just TERRIBLE
Self check out only took cards for payment, Although I have credit cards I prefer to use cash so I had to wait in a long line instead of being able to exit the store much quicker
Cashier “Destinee” has the customer service skills of a good fish. She didn’t say a single word to either of us, cleaning under her acrylics with a knife was more important. Another reason why ANY OTHER STORE is better then here!
