I have a 1929 brick home. I hired Wayne Craft to put an awning on my front porch. Due to the large and heavy look of a house like this, i told them the part that curves down in the front could not be srandard. They had to find a way to make it a deeper nose or it would look chintzy and dwarfed on a house like mine. It just wouldnt look right. Jason the sales guy was wonderful seeing what they could do. I got a call from the guy at shop who actually DID THE WORK so he would understand exactly what i was saying. They had to take it back and work on it to add the extra depth to the nose.. but the final product is beautiful, high quality, and my neighbors cant believe the curb appeal change. I love sitting on my porch. I love sitting in the rain drinking coffee. Everyone comments on it, even my other contractor. Im hiring them to put rails on my deck.
Im very satisfied with my awning. It did take a while for them to put it up but Im satisfied with my awning.Allen Ewell
From the initial contact with the estimator, Stephen to the final install with Matt and Tom, I was thoroughly satisfied. I had a awning with posts and a handrail installed at the rear entrance and a hand rail installed on the front entrance. The products are as expected and look beautiful. Installation was professional and the guys were very personable. It has been about a week since install and no problems or concerns.
Professional and friendly; were scheduled for railing installation soon, this review based on estimate visit. Will update then 😎
Pretty bad quality. Save yourself the Hassel and call a different company. Had an awning installed that constantly makes banging sounds in the heat. Called on warranty, they came out and replaced the awning. Did the same thing. Ended up calling a different awning company and explained the situation, first thing he said was let me guess, Wayne craft awning? Popping in the sun and wind all day right?
Excellent experience with a great company! Jack even showed up early for our estimate two weeks ago, he was kind, able to answer all of our questions and very knowledgeable. He was completely upfront about current delays with jobs and supplies due to COVID backlog and warned us that it could be longer than usual. We anticipated as much but wanted to get on the books ASAP so confidently wrote him the check for the standard 1/2 down deposit. Prepared ourselves to wait.Got the loveliest surprise call yesterday morning from Wayne Craft to update us that our awning was entering the final stages of production, and then another call @ 1:30 from the office to check in with us to say that it was actually not only finished in production, but that the installation crew was running ahead of schedule and since were so close to their office, would we like to have our awning installed today? We were elated.Crew showed up later that afternoon, knocked on the door to let us know they had arrived and that it would take about an hour. It was of course loud, because theyre securing a large hunk of metal to your house and drilling into concrete etc. but not terrible as we dont have kids/skittish pets. When the crew was done they knocked again to let us come out and inspect the impeccable work and then we we able to give them the final 1/2 of the payment. Quite literally the easiest, and most painless work weve ever had done on the house, let alone during the current pandemic! If we had another porch that needed an awning, or if we decide in the future we want to add a railing, were definitely going back to Wayne Craft!
Great price for a more modern awning. Gene and Matt were on time, super friendly and efficient. Would 100% recommend.
I love my new railing and awning! Andrew and his crew put it up in 3 hours and cleaned the whole area. They were also very kind & professional! They are super busy so place your order early - the longest part of the wait was permit issues due to COVID-19. Once we had the issues with the township resolved, Wayne Craft made the order and came out for installation quickly. Thanks guys for doing a great job!!
The new awnings are beautiful and match perfectly with the other existing ones on the house. The installers were very pleasant and efficient. Great job. Very pleased with this company.
My mom had some questions about porch railings. The lady that took care of her was super!
Awning is beautiful and matchs the house perfectly. Makes a god awful popping sound all day long, impossible to sleep with my midnight schedule, waiting to see if they will correct the situation. Will change rating depending on if they correct it or not. Update to follow. Update John there install manager came out today checked my situation out, said he will get it figured out and fixed. Will be the second time he has had to fix it
AMAZING 5 star service!!! Very timely, professional, experienced beyond imagination!! I loved their work, and level of honesty!! They installed some railings for my front porch and after the installation completed they noticed (which I did not see) that one side was a little loose! They taped it with a caution tape and came right back with a brand new railing and replaced it for me. I didnt need to call them or do any follow ups they were on top of things all the time. Excellent quality and craftsmanship as well. Kudos to the entire team, from sales to install amd everyone in between! They even helped me find a good RELIABLE cement contractor too! Thank you :)
Not fun not fun
It has been 2 months since estimator came to my house. I was promised an estimate within 2 weeks. It has now been over 8 weeks and nothing. I even called the main office and they said they would contact him. We were hoping to get windows installed for the fall. Now, we will start contacting other contractors. Very disappointed.
During the Pandemic we wanted to update our VERY outdated 3 season room. We sought out one company who said they basically contracted through Wayne Craft so we decided to just go directly through Wayne Craft.Jack came out, very professional gave us what we THOUGHT was good information and we went with them.We paid our initial deposit in early JUNE and were told we would have our room up in 4-6 weeks because they were a little behind because of the Pandemic. Not true...We were told that it would be completed in a DAY...NOT TRUE.6 weeks went by and we had to contact them for an update (NOT PROFESSIONAL) then we were told oh dont worry about it you dont have to be there when we do it, so if we only give you LESS than a day notice its fine (ALSO NOT TRUE, AND WHY WOULD YOU GIVE ME ONLY A DAYS NOTICE).When they FINALLY came to do the install in LATE AUGUST. John says Oh this will be great you will have the use of your room within 2 days... Im confused because Jack said it would be done in 1 day (Even though I didnt think that was realistic)We had electricity put in, no one said that AFTER the structure was built that the electrician (a totally separate company) would have to come out 3-4 days later, that doesnt sound like I will have use of my room in 2 days.Carlos, the contractor was very nice and professional, however it took him from Friday- Monday to tear down and install the room. ▪︎Then it rained and the structure leaked▪︎They had to come back out and fix the leaks▪︎The screen door was put in incorrectly▪︎There were no locks given for the main door so we could not lock it, then had to come back out▪︎We were told that we could go to home depot and buy something that would fix the screen door, why would i do that and Im paying you to install this new structire▪︎A new contractor had to come out take off both doors and fix the issues.▪︎We were told that it would be 1 inspection (electrical) even after we asked if there would be a structural inspection and were told no and then out the blue we get a phone call telling us WE needed to schedule the structural inspection (Unprofessional)... we made them do it▪︎They missed providing gutter down pouts until we said something▪︎They had to come back and do additional cauking to the roof▪︎ After replacing the door we found additional wet spots which meant water was coming in and they had to come back AGAIN to recauk the door frame.▪︎We had opted for a ceiling fan to be installed and SPECIFICALLY asked Jack, is there a certain type of fan that we should or shouldnt get, his answer was not sure, any fan should be fine... HE WAS SO WRONG. When the electricians came we had already purchased a fan and had to RUN out, during the work day (luckily i have a flexible job) and find a celing fan with certain specificsToday, October 13, we have just given them the check for the final payment because of all the mishaps that took place. In the initial quote Jack stated what the total was going to be and said the permits would be a little extra because its what the city charged. We SPECIFICALLY asked how much he said approximately $30-$40. John comes to collect and its an additional $500 on the bill. This is atrer he called last week asking to collect and we asked for the FINAL amount and he said oh we will contact you tomorrow. If you are wanting to collect, wouldnt it make sense to have the total available for the customer? NOPE not in the case, we were told about the EXTRA $500 today, the day that he picked up the check. They new about the permit price in June, July, August, September and the beginning of October. This is TOTALLY Bad business!!!!Now, I gave them 2 stars because the structure is BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I wanted. They put in some extra paneling from where the old structure was removed. They didnt charge us for the material, just the labor (which should have been free too, in my opinion).Overall, this process was TO LONG, TO UNPROFESSIONAL and the communication between the company and me and my husband was insufficient.
Wayne Craft Inc is one of the most honest and well run Awning Shops in the State of Michigan! We are honored to be a 35 year+ supplier to such a fine organization. A financially rock solid company offering first class service and a family tradition of excellence.John Allin Sr. - Crest Aluminum Products Inc
Salesman never contacted us back with new estimate. Plus estimate was so high it was like he didnt want the job. Got estimate from a different company 7k cheaper for the same thing.
Top notch professionals
Very punctual, responsive, experienced and provided amazing quality product and service. Installers were very knowledgeable and paid detailed attention. No other company comes close.
John was very helpful
Extremely professional, knowledgeable and high quality product and service! Excellent experience here. Would never recommend anyone else for this type of work.
I had Wayne Craft do a new railing on my rental property last week. Steve was fast and professional in completing the work. The step and porch railing was high quality with excellent installation and clean up.
Today I had an aluminum awning installed on top of my screened in porch by Wayne Craft. I love the grey with black stripe combination that I have never seen anywhere and it fit perfectly. The salesman came out and took a deposit exactly 30 days ago and told me they were about 4 weeks out, which I didnt have a problem with. He was right on target. Very professional company. They were timely, courteous and cleaned everything up. Thanks Steve, Shane and crew. I can really enjoy my patio now and it looks wonderful. Oh and I forgot to mention, the price was right!
Your guys did a great job & Im extremely happy with the new awning & rails. A special thanks to Kelly for catching my mistake & bringing it to my attention right away.
Every aspect of this business has exceeded my expectations. Beginning with the price, the look of my awnings, the time of installation, and the customer service was awesome. I’m thinking about more work from WayneCraft in the future.
The guy that measured was so-so but the installation crew was knowledgeable, fast & friendly. They ensured I was satisfied prior to leaving. Great job.Edit: now 2018: They did my initial installment of porch uprights, railing and step rails. Another contractor had to return to fix their shoddy concrete work and did install the step rails correctly. Wayne Craft came back out with John and Steve and fixed the anchors for the step rails. Nice and solid! Awesome job. Friendly and honest crew.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Installers went above and beyond. Took about 1 1/2 weeks from consultation to installation. Jason and Steven were great.
I dont review usually. This company forgot that customers are there Maine Business that they should return calls and not make excuses as well over three weeks went by and several calls for from me to them before I got a response I I would like to say if I could have gave them a 04 rating I would have always excuses about why nobody called they didnt want the job cuz I asked for an add-on this company should realize that they are only in business because of people like me that buy their product would never recommend them and if you look at the reviews they have several bad reviews most of them are due to poor response I will also file this with the Better Business Bureau and as well with the Yellow Page reviews very very very disappointed disappointed
I love the new railings for our front porch looks sharp and very sturdy.
I have a curved outside stair case and I needed one side with a railing and after calling several companies who told me they couldnt do the job I called Wayne Craft and was told to email them pictures of my stairs after emailing the pictures I was told they could do the job. Steve came out explained how they would be able to install the railing and gave me a quote which with the way they would have to work with the stairs was way under what I thought would cost. The railings are perfect!! They were installed and you would think I had a straight stair case. The quality of the railing is better than what we expected. I would highly recommend Wayne Craft for any railing job. Thank you so much for a great job!!!
2ND PART: FINALLY got my awning. Love the look and the fact that the installer was so nice and professional. The showed up and went straight to work. Thanks Shane and also the nice gentleman with him (i forgot his name),but he was also very pleasant. Only problem was the office had the wrong amount that was supposed to be collected. Love my awning, but wouldnt suggest the company to any of my relatives.ALL WE HAD DONE IS WAIT. THE ONLY GUARANTEE WE HAD IS U WILL BE WAITING. Been waiting for 2 months, they messed up the 1st measurements and the structure of the awning period and 2 months later we r still waiting, even after they have been paired 75% of their money. Even after they called with an install date, but no time, so all we have DONE successful with this company is WAIT. Hope the product is worth the wait until then we r sure we will be WAITING. Thanks Wayne Craft for teaching paying customers the art of paying to WAIT.
I was very pleased with my service from Wayne Craft. My storm-damaged awning was replaced quicker than I expected. They sent all the info right to my insurance company for me. A job well done - thanks!
5/5 it has a little something for everyone
Ive had the pleasure of doing business with Wayne Craft for a few years and Im happy to say I have never had a bad experience. As a contractor I work with many different trades and the guys at Wayne Craft sure go above and beyond and in customer satisfaction. I see a long working relationship with this company.
Wayne Craft did an outstanding job helping me select a step railing, and help get condo association approval. Great install too!!
Have been a customer of this family owned local business for many years. Always great friendly service and quality products!! Even thru the Michigan recession they did everything possible to keep their employees and make sure customers still got the best quality. Got my respect!
Extremely bad experience. Trying to get a porch awning repaired for an elderly lady member of my church. All I needed was an estimate to get the insurance process started. They had an A rating on Home Advisor so I figured they must be legitimate. They put off giving me a written estimate for 10 days (after showing up to examine the job and giving me an approximate window for service). Each day they claimed that they would get it to me the following day. The estimators name is Steve. He seemed like a nice guy but was completely incompetent. He would neither call or email me. The office just replied that Steve would get back to me later in the day. I was stupid to believe that they would get back to me when they put me off 10 days in a row. What is strange is that I had told them that I wanted Wayne Craft to do the work on this repair because they specialized in aluminum awning repairs. They must not need money. Its a shame that the lady living in this house was treated so incompetently by them. Please Wayne Craft, if you dont want the job JUST SAY SO. A copy of this review will also be put on their Yellow Pages listing (with their many other poor reviews) as a fair response to the lies and lack of service from Wayne Craft Awning.Sincerely,Bob Laffey
Good products and good quality. Show room sales staff is very uninformed about the products. Every time I go in I have to wait while they run around looking for information and products.
Awful customer service experience. Staff does not return calls and argues with you on any repair claim. Staff is rude and neglectful on repair responsibilities.
Its been over 2 month and still not installed, they tell me a diffrent story every time I try to get an update.
Very nice people
Sorry, wrong company
