I went to Hazel for my wedding dress alterations and she went above and beyond to make my dress perfect. The material of my dress was unique and Hazel was able to come up with multiple options for a bustle that would be best for my dress. Since the material was heavy she came up with a bustle where the train would be hidden underneath to keep the sleek design. Hazel added multiple snaps that kept my dress looking great, everything stayed in place all night! I also had a bridesmaid who was pregnant and needed some last minute alterations. Hazel fixed her dress in a short amount of time and made her feel so much more comfortable. Not only is she amazing at what she does she is so sweet and very passionate about making sure you are happy. Highly recommend!

I just got my dress back for prom! The added bustle for the back of the dress was such a lovely idea! She even showed me how to use it and even hid the string so when I’m taking pictures it doesn’t show. She is so sweet, and so very helpful with everything. I even asked if I could have the extra fabric from my dress to be able to make a mask. She kept it in the bottom of my dress bag:) when I tried on the dress it was so so lovely. The stitching is perfect. I’d defiantly come here for a great experience:)

Brought my wedding dress here about two months before my wedding when we got the green light to proceed following Covid restrictions being lifted and with such a short notice, they were able to do all kinds of alterations for me! And my maid of honor too! I needed two fittings and two rounds of altering and now my dress fits absolutely perfect. I’m a pretty thin and tall bride which made it a little more difficult to shape the dress to my body and I was a little skeptical after the first round of alterations not fitting right but it fits wonderfully now and I can’t wait to wear it in two weeks!

I got married last July 2020 and even during a pandemic, Hazel did an amazing job and I felt so safe and comfortable there. She altered my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaids dresses, as well as my mother’s dresses and made sure they were all finished in a perfect amount of time for our destination wedding up in northern Michigan! Her prices are very reasonable and I will be going to Hazel for all of alteration needs in the future and I’m so happy to have found a place so close by. :)

I got my bridesmaids dress altered for my mom wedding here two years ago and I just got my wedding dress cleaned. my mom passed her dress down to me for my big day the price was reasonable it didn’t take long and they got out every spot there was on the dress and now it’s perfect for my special day. This is the only place I come too. Oh yes and she’s very sweet I locked my keys in my vehicle and she let me sit inside until my spare came. Don’t look any further this place is it and the only place I trust.

Ive been coming to this establishment for alterations for about 3 years now (Ive been a bridesmaid quite a few times), and each time Ive been extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the prices. Compared to the prices charged at big name bridal shops, Ideal Bridal is way more cost effective. Ive never had an issue with timing, and the one time that an alteration wasnt to my liking (too much crinoline) the issue was fixed quickly and without an additional charge. Hazel is great! Ill definitely be back the next time I need a dress altered (hopefully next time for my own wedding lol).

The owner is a coward and has refused to contact me even though i have reached out to her multiple times to try to resolve an issue with my fiance wedding dress. Dont give this place your money or business. I run a small business myself and i can say first hand that this place has terrible business practices. They stole my money and now refuse to give my fiance her wedding dress. I will be contacting my attorney and will be setting up a civil case againt these con artists

Hazel at Ideal Bridal is absolutely amazing and saved my entire wedding! I had to change my wedding venue 2 days before the wedding and needed a dress with lots of beading and a very long train altered in 24 hours. Not only was Hazel able to do this for me, but she did a phenomenal job!!! I have gotten so many dresses altered here and also bring in my dry cleaning. This is the only place I will go and I highly recommend!

**see pictures added by me**Absolutely horrible! Ruined our wedding day! Brought in dress to have sized and to make a few adjustments. Hazel had the dress for over 4-5 months! And she called when it was ready. We went to go pick it up a week before the wedding (since that’s when she called that it was ready even though we asked for it sooner) and the only appt she has was at 6 right before she was closing. I came in to pick it up and asked if I can try it on. She said no I didn’t have enough time since they were closing but if I have any issues once I get home to call. Once I got home I tried it on and I noticed it seemed loose so I let her know and she said she didn’t have enough time to make Any adjustments. This is the main reason I asked if she could have it done sooner especially since she had it for so long! So since she couldn’t do anything I had to deal with it and hope we can figure it out. While taking my dress off I got poked by a pin and realized all of the material underneath my dress that she was supposed to be fixing was all pinned together. She didn’t forget a pin. She left them all in there and did not sew anything together!! So the next day I drove the 40 min back to her shop for an explanation. She tried blaming me saying I kept changing my mind and it’s not her fault it’s not done... I never changed my mind... I just needed another adjustment and either way the work still should have been done since I paid hundreds of dollars to her. and NOTHING WAS DONE! She was very rude and half way sewed the bottom part of my dress together while I waited which was still falling apart on the day of my wedding so even then she didn’t do a good job. I asked for a refund or at least partial since I spent so much money and she did NOTHING! She was very rude and didn’t even care that she ruined our day! All night of my wedding night my husband and I were pulling up my dress pinning it to my bustier hoping that would keep it up and the entire front part was falling down!

BRIDES BEWARE!!! I took my wedding dress here for preservation. When I went to pick it up, it had yellowing on the stomach of the dress. I kindly requested to only pay half and that the dress be returned to the company (its apparently not Ideal Bridal who does preservations) to have it fixed. She was happy to do this. When I picked it up the second time, the portion that had been yellow was covered in tissue paper, so I couldnt see if it had been fixed, but the part that I could see had not been fixed. When I requested the name of the company so I could just go direct to them, the owner of Ideal Bridal would not give me the name of the company, stating she had a contract with them. I reminded her that it wouldnt hurt them if I went direct to the company, only her company, and that I paid $224 to have the dress cleaned and preserved... I deserved to know the name of the company. She still would not provide it. Now Im going to probably have to take the dress somewhere else for another $200 fee. Typical culturally Chinese business - and no Google, that does not need to be censored, that is literally part of the culture.

I brought my bridesmaid dress in to be altered after a family friend recommended this place. My first initial visit was great. My dress needed to be hemmed and taken in on the sides and back. When I went the second visit to try it on, there had been way more length taken off of my dress than what was originally planned. I had on 3 inch heels at the initial appointment and this time you could see up past my ankles it was cut so high. I now have to wear flats and my feet are still showing which shouldnt happen in a floor length dress. It wasnt until I took the dress home and tried it on again that I discovered it was still too big in the back. I went back in to have it taken in more and the owner insisted that If she takes it in anymore then it will be too tight and I wont like it. Kept telling me over and over how good it looked and thats just the way the dress is made. Im sorry but for the price you pay for alterations your dress better be near perfect. Im very disappointed.

Horrible horrible horrible!I dropped my wedding dress off here months ago to add something along with getting a bustle, hemmed up and taking in on the top.I paid A few hundred dollars for them to give me an unfinished dress just before my wedding.I picked it up 2 weeks ago and my wedding is next week. I tried it on one more time and it was still pinned together. Not sewn at all.When I told her about this she blamed me because i kept changing my mind. Which I didn’t. We talked about a few options before doing the work and she knew what she had to do. Instead she sent me home with an incomplete dress and said it was finished. And the only thing she offered me was a $30 refund. What a joke.On my wedding day my dress was still WAY too big falling down where people could see my bra! How embarrassing for the bride not to be fitted properly. The front that she “worked” on was falling apart.She ruined my day! My wedding was ruined by how bad her “work” was. And she didn’t care. They just want to blame everyone else rather than own her mistakes!!Don’t take your chance with them!

Hazel is an an amazing woman!! She did complete reconstruction on my wedding dress bringing it down 6 sizes, and adding lace to the hem. It brought tears to my eyes when I tried it on... it went from a horror story to a magical moment! She did everything with so much attention to detail. Amazing alteration skills and superb dry cleaning! I had my wedding dress cleaned and altered here. The dress needed to be taken in quite a bit. It had intricate beading on the whole back, sewn onto sheer mesh. I also needed a cup placement adjustment at the last fitting and it was taken care of on the spot. I got so many compliments on my dress, guests thought I had it made just for me!! I will always drive the 35 minutes for the amazing services offered here. Thank you!!!

I purchased a very pretty dress for Prom, but I needed alterations quickly. The owner did a great job. I needed the straps tightened and the bottom of the dress hemmed. I also needed a strapless bra to wear with the dress that I purchased before hand, that didn’t quite work with the dress. The owner offered bra cups that she was willing to sew into the dress that worked out perfectly!!!! It was a beautiful day and I had beautiful gown to go with it! Great Service!! Excellent Work!!!

I bought a gown online from a department store. The dress had a low v-cut in the front of the dress. Way too revealing! I went to two other places that claimed they could alter anything. When I arrived at those other places they were a complete waste of my time. I walked into Ideal Bridal showed them the dress and they immediately stated they could help me out! I went here to have my wedding gown altered to fit. The tailor was very knowledgeable about the changes that needed to be made and besides the obvious changes (like hemming the much too long skirt), she was able to work with me to adjust other areas that I didnt feel were comfortable or sat well on my frame. Ive just dropped off my dress after measures, but I feel very comfortable leaving my gown in their hands and am excited to see the results.Im not familiar with pricing for tailoring, but it seemed very reasonable, as does the turn around time.

I finally got around to getting my wedding dress cleaned almost 4 years after our wedding. The dress had quite a few stains on the front beading and bottom of the skirt and I did not think it was possible to get them out. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to see my dress stain free and beautifully packaged! Thank you Ideal Bridal for a keepsake I didnt think I would get to have!

I took my wedding dress here that had veerrrrrryyyy intricate beading and needed a lot of taking in. I was really nervous about the amount of work that needed to be done but was immediately comforted by Hazel. During my fitting I complained about not being able to find a veil at a reasonable price and how overwhelmed I was by price, color, length, etc. Hazel was able to CUSTOM make my veil to my requests! It came out beautifully and was priced very reasonably in comparison to what I was prepared to pay for online/ in store. I had both a bridesmaids dress and my own bridal dress altered here. They both turned out fine, but I definitely had lots of bumps/concerns while both of them were being altered. Neither was done perfectly the first or second time. Hazel was very helpful, and in the end the dresses looked exactly how I wanted them to, it just took more time and explaining to get them there.

Hazel did wonderful on my dress in such a short time. I came back for a final fitting 2 weeks before my wedding and it was just a bit too tight. Hazel was able to correct the fitting in 2 days and my dressed fit perfectly. She has a new customer in me for all my alteration needs.

I absolutely love Ideal Bridal, and Hazel was absolutely amazing. I first brought my wedding dress to a different alteration place and the guy there said that my dress was complicated because of the lace and he wasn’t willing to accept it nor thought I would be able to find someone skilled enough to work on it. Well luckily, I called Ideal Bridal next and Hazel had openings and so I came in, and without even having to say what I wanted done, she already knew what needed to be done and started pinning me right away! I was so afraid, because of what the other guy said, that I wouldn’t be able to find someone to fix my dress because it’s complicated, but Hazel expressed no concerns at all, and said she works with dresses like mine all the time. I was so excited! And througout the several times I came in for fitting, Hazel was always very thorough and willing to make additional alterations until I was completely satisfied. Besides her great work, she also has a very pleasant personality and made me feel very comfortable to be there. It was a far drive for me to come to her place but I can say it is sooo worth it, and I will definitely be coming back and referring more people to her! If you have a complicated dress or outfit, Hazel is the person to come to! She’s the best!

When I came for my fitting at David’s Bridal they left me with a expensive bill and my dress fitted baggy all around my waist and stomache area. I was litterally in tears as David’s Bridal tailor told me there was nothing more they can do. “But I looked beautiful “ they said . A few days later defeated but with hope I knew there had to be someone that can alter my dress to fit me . I googled a bunch and found Ideal Bridal who had really great reviews. I took my dress and the owner immediately knew how to fix it . I picked it up today with one week left to my wedding and I am beyond happy how she altered my dress. And now I can confidently walk down the isle feeling beautiful in my now perfect dress. I’m not one to write reviews but this meant that much to me . I had my grandmothers wedding dress which is 59 years old cleaned and altered. They couldnt have done a better job. My dress is perfection!! I will not go anywhere else!

I brought my wedding dress in to be altered at the beginning of October for my wedding on December 31st. My 1st visit went well. My dress was huge and needed a lot of work.I came back 2 weeks later and the length on the dress looked great. There were some minor tweaks that needed to be done with the straps and the sides. The owner stated they were easy fixes that could be finished in 2 weeks. I decided to take my dress home and wait until beginning of December to get my final wedding fitting in case I lost/gained weight etc over the next month. Since she did a good job on the 1st alteration and said all that was left was easy fixes that could be finished in 1 appointment I felt it would be ok to wait for my final alteration.I brought it in for my final fitting beginning of December and came to pick up my dress 2 weeks later and the straps were taken up way too much and the back was so tight I couldnt bately snap my dress. Since my wedding was in 2 weeks I asked if she could finish the dress within a few days and told me no she needed 1 week.1 week later on the day my dress was supposed too be ready I got a phone call right when the dress was supposed to be ready and was told to not come in that the owner had a family emergency and left 5 mins ago. I stated my dress should be ready anyways and I would just come in and the owner didnt need to be there. I was told the owner took my dress off site with her to this family emergency. Very unprofessional. I told the lady on the phone I was very unhappy and it was supposed to be done prior to the time the owner left with her family emergency anyways. The lady on the phone called me back and told me the owner would come in with my dress in 3 hours.I go in 3 hours (note this is a week before the wedding) and my dress was still way too tight in the back, like it wasnt even fixed. I couldnt breath in it. The owner told me my body must have changed. I told her it didnt and if anything I lost weight. She told me I dont know my body.I told her at this point my wedding is in 1 week and 1 day and I need my dress in 4 days (thinking this is plenty of time) and she said she was going to be off and wanted to push it 1 more day. I told her no and she had an attitude but agreed on 4 days.I picked up my dress 4 days later and it was fine. I was thankful it was finally done.Then on my wedding day I had my dress on for 10 minutes and the strap tore in the area where she sewed it. We had to use safety pins in hopes that the straps didnt rip off.I paid a significant amount of money for my alterations only to get excuses and not have the dress perfect.I wouldnt recommend at all.

I had two bridesmaid dresses I needed altered in a very short period of time. One of which needed extensive work. She was absolutely amazing and when we were done I had two perfect fitting dresses. Highly HIGHLY recommend and wont hesitate to return next time I need alterations

Brought in a light beige cotton dress and canvas wedge shoes that were covered in red wine stains thinking they were a lost cause...when i picked them up both items looked brand new! their prices are more than reasonable and you can’t beat their customer service; would definitely recommend to all.

I needed a last minute alteration for my husbands silk Tommy Bahama button up dress shirt before we flew out of town for a beach wedding. Ideal Bridal has the alternations done and fit was perfect.I also had my gown altered to add Bussles and tighten the neck clasp. With the shorter length I can wear my Barefoot Sandles. When I unbutton the Bussles I can wear my high heals. The fit was so perfect it was like i had it custom made.

I dropped my dress off here months ago to add some black to the front and underneath along with getting a bustle, hemmed up and taking in on the top.I paid over $300 for them to give me an unfinished dress just before my wedding.I picked it up 2 weeks ago and my wedding is next week. I tried it on one more time and it was still pinned together. Not sewn at all.When I told her about this she blamed me because i kept changing my mind.I changed my mind once months ago. And told her what I wanted. She knew what I wanted and the work should have been done. Instead she sent me home with an incomplete dress and said it was finished. And the only thing she offered me was a $30 refund. What a joke.Oh and to add the lady at the FRONT DRESK was wear a kush gang T-shirt. Idc what you do in your spare time but that is not appropriate shirt to wear when you are working with the public!Everyone here is also very rude!Pictures are added to their Facebook review from me.

Blames customer for their mistakes and doesnt complete the work, found pins inside wedding dress that was suppose to be sewn....1 month before wedding!!! And they wont fix or return money for the job!!! Horrible, AVOID!!

A hidden gem. This is such a clean and neat little shop. I not only use their reasonable drycleaning service from time to time, but have found their alteration services a nice surprise!
