Location is great. Food is pricey and nothing special for the price. I ordered the chicken burger. It was served hot but the batter on the chicken fell apart and the homemade chips were overcooked with no taste. We also had the waffles and they were good. I didnt like the only menu was on the wall and u had to order at the counter which was a lot of pressure when other guest are waiting to order. Would be nice to sit at the table first and look over menu

This place is great! Down stairs has coffee and baked goods. They have some amazing breakfast at great prices. Later at night you can go up stairs and relax in the wonderful couches. The staff are super friendly and take care of the customers. Everything is very clean and neat. I highly recommend coming here. 11/10

Had a great time with classmates at the upstairs bar. Its sad to see the establishment close because the bartender was off the chain good! Hopefully they will reopen soon.

The meat on my Bison burger was in two pieces. I was hungry and I’d already waited too long so I ate it. This was my third time here. I don’t need to come back. I was so excited about a new place to eat and enjoy coffee. It’s disappointing. I really tried to like the place. They don’t seem to care and that bothers me most.

Had a really nice brunch here. High quality food for a fair price. The eggs and lox bagel was on point. Wife had a delicious vegan burger with homemade chips thay she really enjoyed. The staff was super friendly. This will be a new regular spot for us. We didnt stick around but checked out the bar upstairs and met a really nice and knowledgeable bartender who gave us a tour. Seems like a really cool spot for some weekend drinks.

Great location, food and atmosphere! We had the bison burgers, which were to die for! Juicy, not gamey with a unique flavor! The chips that were served with them were homemade. We will definitely be back again!

The fried chicken sandwich is good. You will want the chicken drenched in the hot sauce. Other notables: Churro Waffles, Dirty Cow Taco, and the Avacado Queso burger (the patty is made with short rib meat).

Ordered a vegan option and was served a cold tortilla, some raw cabbage and a squishy thing that looked like it had been made from leftovers out the garbage. The short chubby bearded guy was rude and was more interested in talking to his friends than serving customers. Foul and unfriendly.

Came here a few times the first time was great and food was scrumptious. Came here again for the 2nd time and ordered the “ Breakfast Sandwich “ food was cold and bread was soggy and pricy not worth the $10.00 for soggy bread and Egg. The sausage defiantly tasted re cooked. Personally would not come again.

Posting a great review of a new restaurant should be easy, maybe a bit fun, but unfortunately, this is neither. We decided to try the Social after it had been open for a couple of weeks hoping the bugs would be ironed out.Starting with the location: couldnt get any better, right on the square! As we entered, we had to order at the counter with menu items on the wall to the left. Our first clue that something was different was the prices, more indicative of Austin Domain boutique restaurants. Sorry folks, this aint Austin and this isnt the Domain. The tables look like painted plywood, the chairs might have been unique but mine felt really flimsy, almost dangerously loose. Now for the really make or break point, the food:My wife ordered the turkey sandwich while I had the ham sandwich. First, mine was . . . . Ok, I guess, nothing special, and certainly not worth the price. I dont recall any condiments. My wifes turkey had a really unusual taste, bad enough that we sent it back. It almost had a freezer burn taste. A staff member stated that their turkey was not frozen. She opted for the house hamburger as a replacement, seeing several being served. They delivered it almost 30 minutes later, saying that the meat took so long to cook(?).Ok, folks, a bun, meat, one piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato doesnt make a great burger, not even a good one. If there was cheese, it wasnt relevant enough to remember. No condiments (we found a ketchup and mustard bottle later, it wasnt provided) no onions, and a handful of homemade chips. We asked for medium, it was well done. The meat had no seasoning, not bad, but not great. After paying a bit over $25.00 for what amounted to two sandwiches and only water, we wont be repeating this. The whole dining experience left a sour taste in our mouths, not just because of the food. The location doesnt justify the price, and there are far better food options a block away. For these prices, one would and should have expected full table service. Will Lockhart residents warm up to it? Not sure, well see.
