Chanel was the lady who cut my hair, I am not by any means picky. I work in retail and know people can be. I had long healthy hair and need a trim and some layers. She completely did a horrible job on layering my hair. Multiple times a week I get asked who cut your hair. Or why is your hair so uneven. And it’s embarassing. She legit cut a whole layer of hair going across the back and that is all. Didn’t blend or anything. I called and made an appointment. I even asked the girl on the phone is she good & her response was oh yes she is a senior stylist. Note to yourself do not get a hair cut from her.

Lynda R is the best!!! She has been coloring my hair since I was 21 years old. I travel from South Carolina to Lombard just to see her since I moved. I do not and will not trust anyone else with my hair. She is the utmost professional and if this salon every closes or she retires, I will travel any where to see her.

I made an appointment online. Tried to call to check the appointment time and no one answered the phone. Called again 30 minutes later and it turned out I missed my appt by five minutes. There was a problem with the type of style that I wanted but we changed that over the phone and the person told me to come in anyways.So I arrived 15 minutes after my appointment time and told the people at the front desk. They gave me a rude look and told me I was late. YES, I KNOW IM LATE, BECKY. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE TOLD ME TO COME ANYWAYS. Then my stylist comes to tell me Im late and that the style I wanted couldnt be done. I try to explain to her that I changed the style over the phone and the woman I spoke to TOLD ME TO COME and it was okay that I was late because they could fit me in. But she just spoke over me like I was a child.So long story short, the people working here are rude and have poor communication with one another. They dont know how to provide good customer service and they are very overpriced. I got the same style I wanted for half the price at a different salon up the street.

Linda was very unprofessional. Complained the whole time about how curly my daughters hair is. Also that she cant believe I have to deal with it everyday. Was very unhappy with her and will not be returning.

Was glad to find a place open after 5 pm on Sunday. They did a great job on my 7 year old daughter.

Lana did a great job on my hair that was falling out and weak. She brought it back to life!

The Salon by Instyle inside JCP has many wonderfully talented hairstylists, and a nice welcoming atmosphere .

I went for an eyebrow wax and the girl burned my skin with the wax...She did not know what she was doing. She didnt even shape them. I have to go get them redone, but first have to wait for the skin to heal! If you go for eyebrow wax, make sure you get someone with experience!

Terrible customer service from stylist Lynn and whole reception team. Very disappointing.
