The girls are so informative and helpful and they are just so nice! Ive loved this place for over 20yrs! Change in location throughout the mall but same great fun place to buy unique stuff!

Great products for all these anime fans. My daughter was able to find a wife variety of shirts and nik naks.

On-line in-store pick up option is great. It was cosplay day so all the salesfolk were in anime gear- they looked great! Store seemed a bit sparse. Im used to squeezing through product and their funko pops inventory has been cut significantly- which I get. Im glad covid didnt shut the store down, always enjoy sneaking a peek to what the youths are into 😅

There are many reasons why Hot Topic remains one of my favorite stores to shop at. From the staff to the items themselves, this store is a perfect example of why. I can go into detail more, but then this review would be much longer than it needs to be. Thank you for having a great store and keep up the fantastic work.

Definitely happy I went because the workers were great and helped me I just wish there was a bit more variety with some of the shirts for anime and other products but the shirts I bought I love! Just wish though as well that some of the quality was a bit better honestly but that was fine otherwise

No matter what mall, Hot topic is always my first stop. The staff go above and beyond in customer service, from being warm and welcoming, to helping me find everything i want and more. Studded leather or spiked hair, the people there are sharp on the outside, and soft on the inside.

Very cool store with knick knacks for the young people (in my 50s). The associate was super upbeat and friendly. My cousin got a Wonder Woman T shirt. I was looking at the jewelry and Baby Yoda stuff. I would stop in again and shop next time.

I just wanted to thank the two people working today (feb. 1st around 6ish) i’m unsure of your names, but one of you helped me pick out a wide array of sizes of plugs since i was unsure of my size. i was having a really tough day, and was near tears when i was at the counter. both of you were so so kind. when leaving, i was given a lil dog gift from the other worker. i smiled thanked you two and ran out because i didn’t want to cry in front of y’all, but if you read this, i can’t thank you enough. that little gesture and your guys’ genuine kindness meant more to me than you will ever know. i also ended up getting the right size! i hope i run into you two again, and that everything you want comes your way. 10/10 for compassion, friendliness, and finding piercings :)

Very professional ladies, excellent haircuts and prices are reasonable, I only paid 10 dls. No appointment needed but you need to sign in when walking in, good place I highly recommend it.

We had excellent first service from the staff. They even called around and located a shirt we were looking for at a sister store. Much easier then dealing with their corporate first service.

Cool shirts and some fun memorabilia from your favorite movies and cartoons. Little right walking through and forget trying to get a stroller past the front third of the store.

So many anime stuff if your an anime fan. There is also merch, like Billie Eilishs if your a fan of her. There is also sooo many pins! I recommend going to Hot Topic!

Manga!

It was my first time going to this location, I usually go to the one in Woodfield. But after my experience today, I’ll stick to Woodfield instead. I walked in 20 min before 9pm to pick up a package but at first I didn’t see anyone except for the person at the register. It was the manager who was counting the register and instead of getting an employee to help me she just said, can I help you? I told her I’m there to pick something up and she said, well I’m counting the register so you’re going to have to ask someone else. Already the wrong thing to do, believe me I worked in retail for years and this is definitely not what I was trained to do. But I brushed it off and just said, it’s okay I will get someone. I did, that person was very nice and gave me my package. I then asked if I can exchange something I bought online and the employee stated that they had that item there and I can probably do an even exchange but that can only be done by a manager. There was other people in line so I decided to get out of the line to ask the manager (the same one I saw when I arrived.) I asked her for the size I needed and she said oh I don’t know let me see and literally speeds off! Whatever, I followed her in my own pace, She gave me the item I needed and asked to try it on and she took me to the fitting room. Once I was done I went to the register and there’s the manager again and she already looked annoyed, and I asked her if I can do an even exchange she asked for the receipt which unfortunately I misplaced(not something I do because I save all of my receipts but don’t know what happened. I might’ve accidentally thrown it out with some junk mail I had.) anyway, I said no I’m sorry but I couldn’t find it. She had the nerve to roll her eyes at me and she said oh no you’re killing me here! So this time I got very upset but all I said was, okay, well like I said I misplaced I didn’t plan on doing that and I am not doing this on purpose. She just brushed off what I said and said let me see what I can do. Unfortunately I couldn’t do the exchange but, that’s the not the point. I did not like her attitude at all and just made me feel like she didn’t want to help me at all. I know, no one likes anyone walking in to the store towards the end of the day before closing time, but that’s not the way to treat a customer. She also told one of the other employees to close the doors so no one else can walk in because they were already 5min in...it was 8:55p not 9:05p to be specific and she shook her head which also made me feel like she just didn’t want me there. There was a couple other people behind me, pretty much nothing to be honest. Not going back because I won’t be able to hold my temper next time, I’m very hot headed but today I was just not in the mood at all. But these reviews exist for a reason and I had to express how I feel. Never have I had a bad experience at the Hot Topic at Woodfield mall.

Whenever I walk passed the espoused coated walls, I feel the need to end it right there. I was just trying to buy a suck face and was removed from the store. Me and my good buds were casually having a good time and we decided to purchase the baby nail bat replica. It was a fake one as well so it did not hurt anyone or anything. But the very scary looking lady came up on us and started swearing up a storm. We were very shocked on her actions and I did not accept the fact the she was swearing at us for no reason. So after my friend wanted to exchange his second bat for a Cortana from halo 4 cosplay costume. The lady then harassed my friends and pushed us out of the door. We were very disappointed because me and my friends like to cosplay with each other and it wouldve added another character to our collection. I am very disappointed in you guys.

Just went there today with my husband and kids. Got greeted and asked if we needed help we said no thank you. And kept looking around but that same woman that greeted us kept watching us. It made it very uncomfortable she then approached us againz asking if we needed help. We answered no just looking around. Again eyes watching us my husband was going to get me a funko gargoyle pop. So he held it in his hand and kept looking around and her eyes never left him. Like she really thought he was going to steal annoyed my husband just left the pop and we all left. Extremely rude and just ruined our family outing.

Its a trendy junk shop for angry rich youths. Yes Im old but I thought that 25 years ago as well.

I usually go to buy gifts for my boys...the only thing I hate is the store is SO SMALL. There isnt any room to move around or browse if there are 10 people in the store. And with the cashier being right smack in the middle with the line (always a line) extending through the middle of the store, it makes it even harder to move around in there.

Fun merch for any fandom, but pretty pricey.
