Chris was exceptionally helpful. I was having some minor car trouble (right before I was headed out on a long road trip!) and he helped me immediately and explained exactly what was wrong in a very easy to understand way!

This is a long one (sorry)The first time I went to 26th street auto center was to check out an issue with a weird noise coming from my front driver side hub. I was immediately helped by a young gentleman, whom after I explained the issues, he called out Robert the owner. Robert asked a few questions, after which he hoped in and we took a quick ride around the block trying to listen and diagnose the issue. After a few mins, when he realized he could really pinpoint the issue - he recommended another Land Rover specialist out in the valley as he wasnt sure what the issue could be and was unfamiliar- to quote him I dont wanna go digging around in there and costing you unnecessary money. Thats the kind of integrity Robert has! needless to say, because I have a Land Rover, I ended back there not very long after that, this time with a leaking valve cover. when I spoke with Robert again, he explained every single thing in detail, making sure i understand. unfortunately, job couldnt be done because Land Rover likes to be difficult and he didnt have the special tool on hand but made sure to chage my spark plug covered oil, explain to me the possiblity of it happening again, recommend where to go and even gave me a detailed print out ao ill know exactly what is needed and not. I cannot speak highly enough of Robert and his crew. Brilliant customer service, professionalism, knowledge and remarkable ability to explain complex mechanical issues/ things in ways that the lay customer can comprehend and fully understand whay theyre paying for and why. Not only will I be recommending this business to everyone i know, ill also be taking my fiances Yaris here soon for a full service maintenance. Thank you Robert!

This is the best mechanic shop on the West side of Los Angeles. They have maintained all my vehicles for the last 15 years and I do a lot of road trips. I have yet to break down on any road trips since they took over maintenance.

Came here for a brake flush, only shop I could find within 20 miles that had the fluid I needed. Very reasonable pricing. I working in the area of Brentwood and use this auto center and their car wash services all the time. They are very detailed oriented and put a lot of effort into their clients vehicles. By far the best service in the area. All the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. Their shop is very well organized and clean for a auto center. Their employees are all wearing face masks and gloves due to covid. They also sanitize client cars after their service. Wow!!!! Their is plenty of hand sanitizer for clients to use.

My VW/Audi suspension was lowered but was really bumpy. My normal mechanic couldnt fix it. Robert Keirstead at 26thstreetauto.com in Brentwood took it on as a project. He researched it with Audi and reset the DCC sensors via the factory so now it recognizes it has a new height. It was not simple but now my car is 1 to 1/1/2 lower and rides like a dream.No one is L.A. could solve the DCC suspension issue until Robert came to the rescue. Thanks.

This place does quality work. They keep you informed along the way, and the owner is friendly and genuine. I had some special requests for the work I wanted done because it was against manufacturer guidebook recommendations, but after providing them with a few links to what I was talking about and wanted done, they took the work on and warrantied it. They made me feel comfortable trusting them.I called around and got a few quotes for the work I wanted done on my 4Runner. I even went to another place and provided them specific and detailed info, and even though the other place gave me a cheaper quote than 26th Street Auto did, Robert and the staff at 26th Street Automotive made me feel the most comfortable with having them do my work. Ive known Rob and his amazing team for years. All of my siblings and closest friends have also used his shop for things as minor as an oil change to as important as a full-out inspection. Before I moved back to NY, the only person I trusted to give my car a full look over and tune up was Rob. I made it 3,000 miles safely (in an otherwise old/quirky car) and I know thats largely due to the care and attention Rob paid to it. Hes personable, cares about his customers and always tries to be as fair as possible with price. This is the only shop Ill go to in LA (Yes, I drove back across the country in that same car!).

Ive been going here ever since I moved to the area a few years back and since then Ive recommended the place to more than a few friends. Robert, Richard, Jacqueline and their crew are awesome. Always courteous, thorough and professional. They consult you on your choices as if you were a close friend, and based on the condition of your car, tell you which items need immediate attention and which ones can wait til your next paycheck. Then they keep track of those items for you, and even recommend when to do a few things together to save money.Unlike any other mechanic Ive ever been to, the folks here always seem happy, grounded and genuinely friendly. Its like a little island of sanity in la la land. They train their mechanics thoroughly and regularly (certificates line the walls) so everyone is up to date and always improving their knowledge. They work on a lot of high end cars and handle my 2001 Jeep with the same care as all the imports.Get there early if you can (8:30am is best) these guys get busy in the afternoon. While youre waiting, grab a snack at Kay and Daves across the street.

Found this place on google. Called on a Sunday usually requires prior apps, and was able to go in for a detail probably because it was raining. Decided to do the interior detail only. They did a good job. Plus it was super convenient as the Whole Foods and Petes are 1/2 a block away and i was able to get groceries, pick up lunch and coffee while waiting I never went to their lounge. It started pouring when the car was done 1.5 hours later, so they delivered the car to me. Afterwards, I also discovered they have great offers on their Facebook fan page. Great service. Ill definitely be back!
