I bought my first Ampal Creative hat back in 2016 on a trip to Hawaii (the old cord Pacific cap…). It’s been everywhere with me since and is still going strong. That’s a testament to the quality of product that Ampal put out. The materials, the fit, and the unique designs all top notch. Because of that I am still ordering hats all the way from Australia. 5 Ampal caps in the collection now. I’m sure it’ll grow in the future!

I was bummed when I came across the More Parks hat and it was out of stock, so when I saw it was available again I ordered it right away. I got a confirmation and then tracking the next day, and it showed up in Jersey 3 days later (still waiting on something I ordered from NY 3 weeks ago). I wear a lot of hats, and this one hasn’t come off my head since it landed. Great fit, super comfortable and high quality materials. Will definitely be adding another Ampal Creative hat in the near future.

Randomly came across these guys online, really good selection of caps with interesting designs with a vibe that clicked for me. I ordered two hats and both are really unbelievable quality, from craftsmanship down to color scheme. Happy to have these in the rotation for sure

I bought my boyfriend a SnapBack for Christmas and he loved it so much that he bought another. I’ve been in need of a good quality hat too. I decided to look on the website and found the cutest 5 panel hat. The olive green goes well with any outfit, the velvet bill is sick, and the design is simple but adorable. Definitely the best quality hat I’ve ever owned. I’ll be purchasing again!!

Ordered a hat online that didnt fit me the way I hoped, but I received excellent customer service during the exchange process -- with suggestions for a better fit and straightforward return instructions. Both hats, the first one I purchased and the new one I exchanged it for, are of EXCELLENT quality and a significant step above mass-produced hats you see out there. Theres obviously a lot of love and passion going into these hats, and it shows both in their construction and Ampals customer service. Couldnt ask for more.

It doesn’t get better than these hats, I bought three of them for my first order, they’ll probably last my lifetime for sure. They are comfortable, durable, and you can tell real care was taken when each hat was put together. Buy American made hats, and you’ll wonder why you haven’t been doing so already.

Well, I just had my first and last encounter with Ampal. After ordering a hat that didnt seem to fit my head quite right (possibly due to the lack of infrastructure in the front part of the hat), I asked Gregg for a return label to send the hat back and get a refund. He then responded by saying that they dont provide shipping labels for returns. In theory, this means I spent close to $50 for a hat made of thin and structureless materials and about $10 just to try it on (shipping cost). To make matters worse, after sending the product back to Gregg, he then denied my refund and claimed he found tiny white hairs all over and accused me of wearing the hat for an extended period of time. After claiming he was going to try and clean it (which I guess a lint roller was too hard to find), he then quickly responded by saying they couldnt accept it and they were sending me back the hat. The only silver lining to this whole experience is the idea that he had to pay extra shipping to get the hat back to me. lol. Thanks for the fun Greg with 2 gs.

These hats can’t be beat. If you love that old pair of jeans that fit just right, wear forever, then these are the hats for you. Plus they are made in the good ole USA, buy them now and don’t wait. I have bought 4 so far for myself and gifts. When I say gifts I mean kids and siblings take them and make them their own. Wool, wax fabric, summer all rad. Don’t let the flat bills scare you, they can be molded just the way you want. My dog liked my wool cap so much he chewed on it. I though it was going to be wrecked, but it survived unlike the two other he got ahold of. I straightened out the bill, and party on Wayne!

I got the Ampal trophy hat. Love the material and original design, its lightweight and looks 👌🏼The only reason this is not 5 star review is that the buckle in the back, has a round metal stud that when tightening the hat, rubs up against my head causing significant discomfort. I have a small head and need to wear it tight.

Have bought two different styles of these hats for my husband and he wears them religiously! Really rad styles and great fit for my husbands larger noggin.

Love the look of both hats but the tan “wax ll canvas” hat is too tight on my head, even with the snaps undone so It’s not because of the snaps. Normally I wear snap backs with just 2 snaps and I have it on 2 snaps now but there’s just a gap between the snaps and my head. Somehow it’s just made too narrow in the front and seems to be made for a smaller head. The orange “wild things in wild places” fits perfectly so the tan waxed canvas hat must be defective or they just run smaller. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because one doesn’t fit and there’s no returns but If you have a small head then I wouldn’t worry and would absolutely recommend based on the quality.

Yo, this business is legit. I emailed ampal via a link on Instagram one day because I wanted to buy a hat that is made by domestic mom and pop shops. Ampal makes all their hats in California. Other companies that advert on IG (going to say it) lie about their products being made in the US, they finish them only maybe by sewing a patch on the hat and calling it a day. Reported one to the BBB for their shading practices. Either way, I emailed Ampal and Gregg responded to my Query about their Cascade hat, look at my name (makes sense right?). So Gregg emails me back in January telling me they were out and would make some more in august. So I put this escapade of mine on hold waiting to buy the perfect hat. Here is the best part, 2 days ago Gregg emailed me saying “yo we have the cascade hat back in stock!” That is what I call first class service and why I spend my money on mom and pop shops. You know a good company when those that run it, have pride in their work and take care of their customers! First class service, ampal is legit don’t think just get their hats.

Bought a waxed cap from The Ampal Creative and really loved the durabiliy of the cap itself, however the snapback cracked within the first couple of months of owning it due to a manufacturers defect. I reached out to the customer service team at The Ampal Creative and Gregg responded very quickly to me. My cap was sent back to thier factory where they sowed on a strap that I chose off of one of their other hats. Really amazed by the attention to detail on the new stitching as well as the customer service experience. Really great brand. Buy caps from them. I promise you that you wont regret it.

Just an absolutely great product. The hat I purchased is beautiful in its craftsmanship, design and material. No pulls in any of the stitching. Extra details like engraved lighting cloud logo, even the inside of the hat has a reverse stitched pattern only viewable as the wearer, but that’s the kind of stuff you want to see as a consumer. As an artist and a craftsman, it is the kind of product that is rare these days. Considered, built to last and exceeding my expectations.

I found one of their hats at Bespoke in Truckee and loved it. Went to the Ampal site and it was difficult to only pick two more to purchase. The product alone is worth five stars. Shortly after purchasing, one of the hats I ordered wasnt available but they quickly reached out and I picked a different hat. The two hats arrived at my doorstep in a couple of days. Really good product, really good staff, and made in the USA- whats not to love about this?

Look.I spent $40 on a hat.I expected it to be a premium project, made like they used to be.And I couldnt be more satisfied.As a Dylan and Looney Tunes fan, naturally, I went with the Wile E. Coyote Dont Think Twice wool hat. Theres really no other way to say it: I love this patch. The first time I saw it, it was like somebody read my mind and made a hat just for me.I saw the Instagram ad at least half a dozen times before pulling the trigger. I wish I would have done it sooner, honestly.I own several wool baseball caps, but this one has to be the most comfortable. The craftsmanship is impeccable. Also, Ampals mission is, obviously, admirable.If youre on the fence about spending the money, just do it.

This company is amazing for quality hats. I have a big head and few styles fit me. They have a deeper style on some of their older hats that I LOVE and the new ones are also great fits. One of the hats needed some extra hardware ordered and these guys had great communication and helped me get everything I needed while providing me with kind and helpful communication. Seriously recommend 10/10. One hat I have been wearing for over 5 years and still get compliments. Ive never even seen a thread start to fray!

Ordered a hat middle of Dec - only received a confirmation of my order and no correspondence for over a month. Several attempts to communicate with these guys - instagram/email/twitter - with no response.After raising the issue with PayPal they decided to get in touch - letting me know the tracking number.Communication was far too late - the package had been returned to a local depot and then returned to the US - if I had known early I would have got the package but their customer service is terrible.This maybe only on international orders but they really dont care - its been another month and they wont respond to emails or refund my order.Very very disappointing - I would still like my money back!!!
