We’ve been trying to stop here since it opened and finally made it today. We loved the thin crust pizza. We got the mushroom truffle pizza to split. I’m not a huge fan of truffles but I was game to try it. It ended up being pretty subtle. My husband thought it was very good.we also had the escarole salad which was light and fresh. I splurged on the mint and chip ice cream cone for dessert and again a winner. My only complaint was they didn’t tell us they had a patio which we would have definitely loved to be on since it was a gorgeous day.
This is not a sit-down restaurant. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you, sort of like Panera. But Im not exactly sure there was another group, where the waiter seem to be taking their order but that was a group of six, we were a group of four. The pizza is excellent! :-) very good. My kids love the cheese stick. There is some free parking on the side street behind the Pilates place.I had read an article on this place about the outdoor seating with play area, but the play area is really small, Im glad I didnt tell my kids about it they would have been disappointed.
I discovered this spot based on a recommendation from my neighbor right after moving here. They have AMAZING gluten free pizza - not thin crust or glorified cardboard: real, elevated crust. There are also some other great gluten free and/or vegetarian options. The real kicker is that they deliver boozy milkshakes! Plus, the staff is super friendly (at least via phone).Unfortunately they are temporarily closed, which is truly a loss. I would eat here every single day if COVID wasnt also blocking my workouts.
New artesanal pizza joint in Eagle Rock. This is a plus in my opinion, offering hand crafted and very “fancy” ingredient pizza. My wife and I got two pizzas “the piedra” and “beer baron”. Full honesty hear, “the piedra” was very good and simply crushed “beer baron” which lacked what a pizza is meant to have, taste. It may be my taste buds but the piedra offered a delightful melody of savory sweet and spiced to perfection, also it wasn’t your typical tasting pizza, the taste is very “artesanal” if I can say that. The ambiance is very bright and simple. Love the layout, a lot of room to walk around. The bar was rehabbed from the previous business and they have crushed it with the layout and style. My one issue I had was I ordered the pizza Togo and so I decided to have a beer while I waited. The beer had to be ordered from the bar next door and then I waited about 5-7 minutes for it to be delivered to where I was seated. It would be nice to see a couple of taps right next to the register so that you could just grab and go. But it’s not a huge problem.Though the price of the pizza is a little expensive I can’t wait to go back with my wife and try some other pizzas. Plus I saw they have their own ice cream. So I will definitely try that out next time!
Please reopen! My favorite pizza in LA. As well as great place to eat tacos and watch baseball in the bar.
Pizza wasnt that great, but their gluten free crust was quite good. So was the ice cream, really good!
Delicious pizza and small-batch ice cream in a beautiful atmosphere that is kid friendly and great for large groups? Im sold! Why doesnt every restaurant offer a fenced-off play area to corral the kids so the adults can enjoy their meal in peace? We were able to sit outdoors and keep an eye on the kids who were happy to play with the toys and the playhouse. The Honey Pot pizza was such a delight with a slight hint of honey flavor. I finished the entire pizza and barely shared! The ice cream flight was perfect for our littles to enjoy before we headed out. They even made the waffle cones from scratch while we waited. Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Hope to be back soon!
Great Pizza great salads, I loved the hot pepper olive oil sauce! Z-pizza calls it Pele Pele sauce. Only here the seeds are taken out. Great on salad and pizza.
Great pizza but the prices are pretty steep. I think the only thing I would come back for is the ice cream. Im glad I tried this place but I think I will head somewhere else with more affordable prices or come during their happy hour.
I love this place not only for its great pizza, ice cream, and its separate bar area, but because it can accommodate a large group of people (and kids). They have a back area that is outdoors but covered, and theres a little play area for the little ones. Parking is on the street, like pretty much every other restaurant in that area.
The home of many unique pizzas or design your own. Super fresh ingredients, super nice employees. Id encourage you to try the chopped salad as well. Clean, relaxed atmosphere. They also have a full bar and fresh in house made ice cream.
Nice place with a cool vibe but way too noisy for a small place. It would help to turn down the music, theres too much going on in such a limited space. In order to have a conversation, no one wants to compete with the sound system.
Really enjoyed the space, the service was down to earth and pretty fun and the food was terrific! Its a great place for a simple tasty meal, how lucky for those that live nearby to visit often and try their flavors as they evolve!
PienCone is huge with many chambers, which kind of diluting the atmosphere of the place; the restaurant has no theme, sort of speak. It is one of those casual eating where one places the order and pays at the counter then the foods get delivered to the table. About the food, the pizzas were average tasting, although i must admit my anticipation was high when I saw their fire oven, thinking the pizzas must be really good.
They just opened yesterday. Inside the decorations or simple and and relaxing. The staff that helped us was quite friendly. Pizza was good. Not just the usual pizza toppings. The kids pizza was cheese and over all the children enjoyed it, but felt that the crust has a sour taste. Pricing was not bad.
Its a great kids spot and has an area where kids can runaround at. We came on a Friday and the area closes around 9pm. Staff kinda gave us a weird vibe because its a kids area but had the stink eye Everytime they were playing near them. Overall food was great and we will definitely be back. Pizza was just right and wish they had some pasta choices also.
Okay so I want to like this place but.... UGH! It’s Saturday and there is literally no one in the restaurant except staff and they somehow failed to place my order... guy told me 15 minute wait and then when I got here it was apparent the order wasn’t started or even sent to the kitchen and he tried to make it better by saying “the pizza will bake in two minutes” and when I asked him for compensation he said “like what” and didn’t even give me 10% discount. Served by Curtis
This is a great place to eat if you have little ones. Yummy food, nice atmosphere and good customer service.
Its a nice concept, but they gotta get ot right. Poor customer service and well under cooked pizza. They couldnt even get it right when the pizza was sent back to be fully cooked.
This is one of our weekend spots and always a hit with our two toddlers. Its a lot easier to get them to leave the park to go eat pizza and ice cream! Doesnt hurt that its always delicious too.
Surely a place worth visiting, the food is excellent and fresh, the rates are fair and it is consistently neat there. Highly recommended.
Has really good gluten free pizza. And top grade ice cream.
Eclectic mix of artisan-style pizzas, plus drinks & artesanal home made ice cream. Simple menu but tasty results. Neighborhood parking only.
Be careful if they ever call you to work there . It’s their trick, they call people who applied to work there and say that u have to work right tonight if you want the job. As soon as you work that and they don’t need you anymore, they will never respond to your calls or emails. And u won’t even get paid .
Great selection of pizza and beer, friendly staff, cool music at the bar
Family oriented exelent menu good service .if you are a drinker this place is for you
They serve Chicago Deep Dish Pizza here. It takes 45 minutes to make it, but its well worth the wait.
Showed up at 6:00 on Saturday night and there was a 2 hour wait due to not having enough staff. The place was packed with families and kids running around and fighting in the overcrowded play space in back. Hopefully things improve after opening weekend, as it looks like a cool concept.
Good food. Good drank. Good people
Good beer, food and friends... Always enjoy my time in the Pub
Zomg! Very tasty pizza, super-delicious ice cream. Also, if youve got kids theres an awesome place to eat in the back.
Always a great time. Delicious pizzas, rotating menu, ice creams, beer, and great atmosphere.
Go there, Go early, be patient its busy....and most of all savor the flavor!
Good pizza, nice music, friendly stuff. Highly recommended.
I wanted more basil on my pizza, should have asked ..great service!
I really liked the service. Very great service. Thanks! :-)
We arrived at 6:00 expecting a satisfactory meal, but were disappointed after waiting 70 whole minutes before our drinks arrived. The glasses were tiny, and our $3.00 iced tea consisted of more ICE than tea. After another 15 minutes, our singular pizza was served at the table. It measured approximately 8 inches in diameter and did look appealing. And it definitely was, until we started eating. The dough was undercooked and there were only four, tiny shriveled pieces of pancetta on our PANCETTA PIZZA. It lacked flavor, and was dripping with oil every time we picked up a slice. Ultimately, we spent $36.00 dollars and 90 minutes on a substandard meal. My group and I (which consisted of two people) probably left the restaurant even MORE hungry than we were when we arrived. The only positive thing that I can acknowledge about this experience was the lovely interior design. Other than that, it was a waste of money and time.
Unbelievably great pizzas! Fantastic staff. Wonderful beers.
Good local premium pizza and ice cream spot connected to the 1954 pub.
Great pizza. Great atmosphere and great service
Pizza is pretty good. Bar is still trying to find its identify.
AMAZING! Thats in all caps too.Theres outdoor seating and a parking lot which makes it a great spot after a solid date with your significant other.
Great for families. Patio play area can be reserved for families so check before going.
Just had a craft beer, but my friends enjoyed their pizza and pasta.
The back patio area is great for families with kids. Plus adults can get drinks at the bar!
Flavorless pizza with so little topping - and strange ones at that.
It was okay....the price was a little high for the amount of food that we got. Nice environment, interesting choice of toppings.
Fabulous! Excellent service, beautiful food, just top notch all around. Will be returning very soon for the arancini!
Loved this place! Pizza, beer and ice cream. It’s my holy trinity!
It was a terrible experience with terrible food. I will never return or reccomend it.
The pear sorbet was truly exceptional..
Good atmosphere at the bar on a Sunday night...good beer selection and good music on rotation too.
Great pizza and salad with a cool vibe
Best experience, the most amazing customer service ive ever experienced
Little pricey but a good find! Staff very, very, nice!
Im not well kept with modern food thing. Its was hard for me to make any selection on the menu but I knew somehow all of their food is good for me.
Bitchin pizza experience. Good beer on tap.
Great food. Full bar
