First timer. I didnt know what to expect.Our friends had already found outdoor seating before we arrived.What a delightful surprise as we were transported to a natures paradise. The sound of a waterfall in the Coy filled pond immediately set the ambiance for time of relaxation with a curious frog croaking.We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday!The food menu was simple and delicious with healthy options.I cant emphasize enough the peaceful and laid back atmosphere.The cookies and bread are must haves.The pizza crust was good but a bit burnt in some places. And the kale salad was dry and needed dressing and possibly a few more ingredients. I actually took mine home and added a bit of vinegar and organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, sliced apples and a few more walnuts and firm avocado slices.The hospitality was exceptional.I would definitely recommend MozzaPi!

First if all, the food was great. Pizza was tasty and they had good variety on the menu. The place was actually pretty cool too.However, they had walnut cookies and did not take the proper precautions to avoid cross contamination. We didn’t order cookies. Just pizza and bread. My son had a severe allergic reaction and we had a rough night.I beg you to please take more care in handling of nuts.

My first visit to MozzaPi was right on point: Good food, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and reasonable prices (I will say their salad prices were definitely on the high end for a basic garden salad!). I want to come back and check out their bakery items!

We had been wanting to try this place forever and kept forgetting to. Today we remembered and we are so happy we did! The atmosphere is so neat and the food was delicious and so fresh. I had the spinach, ricotta and mozzarella pizza and my husband had a pepperoni with sausage. We loved both. We also tried a chocolate chip cookie and a corn cookie and if you haven’t tried a corn cookie- you better! Both were equally yummy! We got a loaf of focaccia bread for later. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great Sunday lunch!

We actually had MozzaPi CATERed at a celebration!! SO COOL that they actually bring the wood fired oven and baked each pizza onsite!! Not only were the pizzas coming out every few minutes all hot and yummy but the SMORES were insane with caramel drizzle and salt sprinkled on them!! Ahhhh!!!! New HUGE fan!!

If you are looking for high end artisan pizza in a comfortable and relaxed environment... Mozza Pi is the place. Staff are helpful, friendly, and do so without hovering. The food came quickly, and was delicious. The pizzas are 9 round, a little more food than one person can comfortably eat. An appetizer and one pizza would be enough to feed two... but you might want to get more and take home leftovers just for the opportunity to try different flavors! The focaccia was a lovely appetizer. Chef/owner even stopped by to chat for a while. Wonderful ambience and even better food. A hidden gem in the Anchorage neighborhood.Oh, and dont forget to try the corn cookies. You wont find anything like them anywhere else.

MozzaPi catered our Wedding Reception a couple weekends ago (6/19/21) at 314 Exchange in Pewee Valley. We couldnt be more pleased! They showed up in plenty of time w/ a large, mostly copper, igloo-shaped pizza oven. Several appetizers were made and distributed by the polite wait staff of five while guests began arriving (so Im told...we were getting photographed at the nearby chapel). Then delicious and varied pizza pies started rolling out, about three every 5-10 minutes. Everyone raved about how tasty and attractive they were! In addition, MozzaPi baked several gluten-free and vegetarian pies for those discerning guests. The evening was concluded w/ smores that were also fresh baked in the beautiful oven. The scene was idyllic: the oven door faced the seated crowd so everyone could take in the visual & olfactory pleasures! Wonderful catering experience and fairly priced, in our view. Highly recommend!!!

Mozza pie and their servers are phenomenal !a remote party with them is one of the best investments we’ve ever made !!!I included a couple of personal pictures from my 55th birthday party where the Mozza pi staff went above and beyond on making one of the best events ever.I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and if you need a catering event this is probably the best investment you can make to ensure fantastic food and a great time!We will be back soon.Enjoy.

I’ve been wanting to eat here for awhile. I finally got to today and it was really good. The pizza tasted great, and the crust was cooked perfectly. The service was good and the employee’s were really nice as well. I will definitely come back again.

Some of the most interesting and unique combinations of toppings for pizza, excellent crust, but at least one pizza was over cooked. Neat building, interesting decor and a pleasant but inexperienced staff. Unfortunately, their website says that they are only doing take-out, however they have been open for in person dining for weeks. The corn cookies are good but more like corn flavored sugar cookies.

I cant say enough nice things about MozzaPi! I give a lot of 5 stars - maybe too many. Im easy to please. So in my head now, all other restaurants Ive give 5 stars to are now 4 stars. MozzaPi gets the one and only 5 star grade! Of all the wonderful things there (coffee, food, friendly folks, deck/pond area), my favorite is that it is located in an area surrounded by trees, not myriads of other stores-traffic-noise. .... Or maybe it is that the place is built by the owner..... Or maybe that they mill their own grain.... Or maybe that they roast their own coffee. Well be back!

We love MozzaPi! The Thai chicken curry pizza is our absolute favorite. We want to get in here early enough one day to try breakfast, scones, muffins and danishes always look amazing. Their Carmel Latte is unbeatable! A must try for anyone who loves coffee.

Mozza Pi è squisito (is exquisite/delicious)! Tom Edwards (owner) is a true artist when it comes baking bread and pizza. The dough is close to perfection, covered in fresh tomato sauce with sweet notes. The ricotta and spinach pizza I had was delizioso. I took home a loaf of focaccia (thanks again, Tom!) which my family thoroughly enjoyed with our dinner.Toms staff is welcoming, attentive, courteous, and friendly. Thank you for a nice dining experience, well be seeing you again soon.

My favorite restaurants in the area. I have eaten here many times and everything has been fantastic! The pizza dough is hands-down the best that I have had in Louisville. The breakfast pastries and coffee are both delicious. You can really tell that everything is fresh and homemade and of very high-quality.

They use a fermented sourdough for their pizza crust which has no corn and is easier to digest than other breads. Top quality! The environment is whimsical and we love the koi pond. This family is a great asset to the community.

After reading great reviews, I looked forward to trying their pizza. Unfortunately, it was among the worst Ive had. The dough was flabby and bland, the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and the cheese was just plain wrong. It was a total disaster. We dumped most of it in the trash. If I had been told this was a frozen pizza from a convenience store, I would have believed it. I have no idea why this pizza gets such great reviews. Id give it zero stars if I could.

Very nice atmosphere and cool digs. The service and staff were very prompt and friendly. Food came out quick. We tried two different pizzas and two different desserts. Both pizzas were just ok....maybe we were expecting something crazy different good, but they werent amazing like we thought based on all other ratings. Desserts were good not great. Would definitely come back, but wouldnt go out of way either. Best part is the building and ambience.

My wife and I just ate here for the first time. In my opinion, hands down best pizza in Louisville. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is cooked to perfection. I met the owner before we left and he provided me a cookie used with corn meal. Hate to sound redundant, but it was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. Give them a chance! I tried a piece of MozzaPi pizza yesterday when a drug rep brought some in to my office. It didnt have toppings I would ever order myself, so I picked off what I dont like. Even with that, it was delicious. So...today I talked my husband into riding out there so I could try it with the toppings I do like. I got a pepperoni with extra cheese. It was so good. They come in one size that I would equate to about a medium at other places. The crust is divine. A good crust makes all the difference in pizza & you can absolutely tell these guys make everything from scratch. They dont have a large menu, but they have enough variety so everybody can find something they like. Salads, fresh baked homemade bread (YUM!), chocolate chip cookies (DOUBLE YUM!), etc. The building itself isnt huge, but it looks like an old barn. I went inside to order since I had to pay cash and the inside is GORGEOUS. They did events there before the pandemic and its a shame they cant do them now. It would be perfect for a small, rustic wedding reception. Because of Covid, they do have outdoor seating and a window outside with a kiosk that you can use to order. Online ordering for to go orders is also offered. I really liked this place. I will absolutely go back and I cant wait to see the inside fixed up after all this pandemic stuff is over.

There are about 100 restaurants to choose from within 10 minutes of my workplace and this one is best for atmosphere. Its beautiful both inside and outside and the food is high quality. Weve been about 15-20 times so far.

It was good. Nothing exceptional but good. I was disappointed that you cant choose pizza toppings. They have what is on the menu and that is all. Not a lot of options. We could not even get olives. The espresso was delicious. We will not go back though.

Very unique pizza, desserts, and breakfast foods. They are only opened 7am-2pm. The staff is awesome. I cant say enough good things about them. The style of the inside is very industrial. They were 5 in our group and we each tried different pizzas. I also had a house salad. Everything was very good and made when you ordered it. So hot and fresh!!!! You must try it.

I enjoyed my pizza and muffin. Its a cool building, however, I think the place is missing atmosphere. You cant really hear any music. Not much art on the walls. Lacks color.Random stuff lying around that made the place look messy. Bags of snow salt out front. Office papers sitting on top of the cups. I found myself wanting to straighten up. The loft looked messy. Looks like it a bunch of college boys decorated it. This place also needs a real sign.

This place was really great. Ive heard they make everything from scratch and I believe it. The pizza with the bourbon soaked cherries was unique and very tasty. My side salad was fresh and delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was huge, warm, and one of the best Ive had. I dont think they have a sign and they are still quite busy so somehow people find them. Even the building is amazing. This isnt your typical pizza place so definetly give it a try and I bet youll be back again, I sure will. Oh, and the staff was absolutely wonderful! Super friendly, nice, and helpful.

Great food, great ambiance. The menu is small. The hours are short, but its worth visiting. I have had pancakes and pizza at MozzaPi and both dishes were amazing. The pizza had an intimidating amount of spinach, and was one of the best pizzas I can remember eating.

I participated in a week long artisan bread camp in March 2018. It was the most amazing week!! Tom taught part of the week and Lori (his sister) taught the other part. Both of them are chefs and extremely knowledgeable. They both inspired me in many ways. As a chef myself I never really dealt with the baking. Now, I am really enjoying all the baking techniques taught and the flours used ( that they mill) to create my own baked items. Not only were the classes so detailed, but they even go that extra step to answer questions in all facets of baking. The lunches each day were spectacular and the dinners that Lisa (Toms wife) prepared each night were top notch. Oh, and I forgot to mention Tom (Lori’s husband)- yes their are two Toms! He taught us how to mill flour and other techniques about the wood fired oven that his brother in law Tom also taught. If you want to learn Artisan breads or baking in general then it is well worth it to invest in classes with Mozzapi!!! I’m anxiously awaiting a pastry camp! Toms danishes are AMAZING!!!!

Best fresh pizza I have eaten locally. Beautiful building and location. Baked cookies are wonderful. Patio is in the woods and very peaceful and quiet. Love to go and eat great food inside or outside.

I visited from out of town and stopped in for a friend’s graduation celebration. It is seriously the best pizza I have ever put in my mouth. Furthermore, even though we had a large party, the employees were so kind and accommodating. When I visit Louisville again, I will DEFINITELY come back!

This place is a well-kept secret. Breakfast, lunch, and soon dinner with crafted drinks. Kevin Sachs is the host with the most, and Megan is a cutie. Best pizza in town, all natural ingredients with fresh milled flour. Try their soy latte or fresh ground coffee. A real find.

We stopped in on opening day for lunch. The doors to the outside were open across the back of the building and the restaurant had very pleasant atmosphere. We had the Thai Pizza, which was delicious. The dough was moist, flavorful and had a great texture. The topping really gave an explosion of flavor in the mouth. I will definitely be back.

I can’t believe I just found this place!!! Awesome food, incredibly original and very cool decor, super nice staff, and an espresso machine ! So ... they close at 2 each day ... which is a bummer if you are like us and forget to eat until 8 or 9 ... which could be why we hadn’t stopped in until now. But, now that we have, we are definitely going to make it a point to have lunch!! This is on my list of restaurants not to miss when visiting KY.

Ate there today and was overcome with the atmosphere and all the unique woodworking. Once I got my pizza I was even more impressed.Never thought I would travel so far for a pizza but Im making plans to go visit them again. I was very impressed.

The pizza here has a TERRIFIC crust which they take great pride in. There are unusual toppings available on some pies as well as the more traditional. ALL were really delicious. (Spoken as a New York Italian who knows her pizza.) The service was impeccable and the recommended chocolate chip cookie I had for dessert was best ever!.

Very unique building and food is uniqe, as well. They also sell breads that are unique and tasty. Why not 5 🌟? We walk up to a counter order our food and begin the process of paying. They turn the register around to face you and ask for a tip!. Youve ordered your food and no idea about further service, food taste, atmosphere and building cleanliness. I will not tip and question going back.

After getting spoiled by Italian Pizza for a year it is hard to find anything here that compares. The taste of their crust took me back across the pond. They have interesting toppings to try for the adventurers and the familiar as well. Definitely plan to come back.
