Delicious pies and ice-cream for the most part. Good cookies too. I would’ve given them five stars but my banana cream pie well tasty had Cool Whip on the top instead of real cream, so I’m taking off one star. I know that I’m picky but I expect the best from the pie kitchen.

Bad ice cream way past its shelf life

Wow is all I can say! From the moment I walked in, I was treated like royalty. The Pie Kitchen had a safe cordial environment. The worker, Emily, welcomed me with open arms and allowed me to sample their new “Praline” ice cream. A truly breath taking and one-of-a-kind experience left me begging for more and in tears. Thank you so, so much.

Delicious ice cream. I tried the butter pecan and praline. Enjoyed the butter pecan better... also had the Yellow cake with caramel icing and the German chocolate, both were tasty but I could have lived without either. Very friendly staff! Would def come back to try more ice cream!

Where else in the city of Louisville can you get a fresh peice of homemade pie and ice cream. Very consistant and fairly priced. Their is nothing like taking a break from life, shutting off your brain and the outside worls and getting lost while enjoying a peice of warm pie, coffee and ice cream with the ones you love.

Amazing. Went back, 2 days in a row, if I stayed 3 days; Id do 3 days in a row.I love the pecan, miss you already....... Dutch apple excellent! but Pecan the BEST.Decent and generous ice cream, great ice creams! Immediately loved this place, will return next trip! I visit this place every single time I visit Louisville. It is my go to dessert place, there is something for everyone.

The chocolate cake with buttercream icing I ordered was excellent. I ordered online but when I got to the store the employees had no idea of any order despite the receipt I had that clearly displayed the order at that store. So beware ordering online. However the cake was 5 stars.

If you are on a diet, dont come, well they do have dessert with less sugar, not sure how that will taste, yuck for me. The banana pudding and the butter pecan ice cream, wow, wow, wow! Three for emphasis. They will let you sample their goodness, when they said Homemade, they really mean homemade, you must, no you have to try it!

Had the Dutch apple pie and was so disappointed. The bottom crust was undercooked and was like mushy goo. The topping was over cooked and so hard parts of it were difficult to eat. This was so surprising. I have been getting pies here for years and they were always excellent. I know they have a new owner this year and sadly looks like quality is lost with the new owners. So sad

I was very disappointed in my first (and probably last) experience at The Pie Kitchen. I ordered the Red Raspberry Fudge ice cream which was basically just vanilla with disgusting syrup mixed in. I passed it around to my friends, and we all agreed it was completely inedible. I also tried the Coconut Cream Pie (pictured) and was, once again, disappointed. The cream filling was gritty/coagulated- not smoothe like I expected. The meringue, while beautiful, tasted of extra sugary marshmallow. Perhaps I have been spoiled with exceptional pies my entire life and expected too much? Regardless, I see no reason to go back when I could get Graeters or UDF or even ColdStone and know Im getting quality.For the record, one of my friends got the Cherry pie (pictured) and another, the Oreo ice cream and both were pleased. I was not impressed by the peanut butter ice cream (pictured) but didnt hate it either. I hate leaving a negative review, but I do not understand the hype about this place.

I visited the homemade ice cream and pie kitchen the other day and I was not disappointed. I tried the cheesecake and it was AMAZING!!!

Everytime I come here its a terrible experience! You call in and the phones are busy or go straight to instructional mailbox that offers 0 help! So you think they are super busy no big deal ill place it when I get there....nope....ghost town! 2 customers in there and every employee is moving slower than ice cream freezing! Then guess what? Had over a $100 order I gladly want to place at a local business and nope...they r out of 98% of what I need! Never ever will be back!

We are new to the area and decided to go out and explore the area. We came across this little gem. The staff is super sweet and the desserts surely won’t disappoint. I had the caramel apple pie with their delicious cinnamon ice cream. It was amazing! We will surely be back.

I always visit this shop every once in a while to treat myself when having a hard time, and its always been super pleasant! The workers are very kind and helpful and quick. Theres also a wonderful selection of sweets from cakes, to cookies, to ice cream. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family!

Staff was great and we loved the “Carole baskin” tip jar. I am still laughing about that. But the ice cream wasn’t anything spectacular, just another ice cream place. But if you like ice cream, you won’t be disappointed. However there wasn’t anything unique about the experience.

I was looking for a cupcakery but couldnt find one that was nearby or one open the time of the day that I stumbled upon this place. My husband I tried the buckeyes and the peanut butter was very creamy and pronounced . I tried a strawberry cupcake the icing wasnt too rich but very solid yet creamy. The sweets are at a reasonable price, theres even a discount on certain cupcakes or pies throughout the day . Cupcakes are less than $3 you are getting your moneys worth . We also tried a Reeses cup chocolate brownie, it was sugar overload and my taste buds were in love .I recommend this place for pies and different pastries you cant get at most bakeries . I dont want to leave out how helpful the staff is too, very friendly group of people.

I came here on PI day to get my $3.14 slice of pie. It was very good, and there was very good service that was very willing to help decide between all the options of pie.

The cakes on display are the ones you get a slice of! That never happens, theyre always styrofoam, but these guys are for real! Also, the coconut ice cream is pretty special - and the original iconic location is comfortable and clean, easily the best option in town for GOOD ice cream!

I went in here a handful of years ago and it has stayed with me since. I spontaneously went in to see if they might have anything for my sisters birthday and they had one of the best sugar-free cherry pies, baked to perfection, and a wonderful assortment of churned ice creams available. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Ive purchased from their other locations with no issues, but the service at the Lexington Road location was awful. I will not go back there.

Good and service were good and consistent as usual. Could not find a clean table/chair. I was the only customer at they time. Shortly after, they got pretty busy. The thing that intrigues me though is that the tables appear to need the food scraped off because they have became one with the furniture. Gross.

Went there with a large party after an event nearby. The staff were super helpful and the pie and ice cream were fabulous. We have visited all of the pie and ice cream kitchen locations and theyre all great!

Tummy desserts and ice cream

OMG. Honestly just like Grandmas pie and homemade ice cream. The best dessert Ive had in decades. We had a piece of the double-crust apple and Dutch apple pies, while my daughter had the creme brulee ice cream. I also had vanilla ice cream on my pie. So wonderful!! We will be back!

Great pie, milkshakes decent, ice cream good service excellent, prices a little high but not bad. All and all definitely recomend, you need to try the chocolate covered cherry pie.

Great atmosphere. Ice cream had a lot of ice crystals in it, which made the ice cream crunchy, not smooth. Still has good flavor.

I didnt know I needed this many kinds of pies til i came here. And thats not even beginning to say anything about the ice cream variety. The unfair part is deciding to leave so many pies uneaten because you just cant try them all in one sitting. Oh and ice cream. So the ice cream... abuse the samples! There was so much i wanted to try in the ice creams, but you have to just give up ans pick. I didnt see much in the way of parking, but youll never be able to diet ever again if you park here too long.

Love pie kitchen but this one isnt my favorite location. The said they closed at 9 when the sign said 10 and also Google said 10. The Cherry Pie was a little dry (not enough filling). The wait staff was nice but didnt understand why they closed 1 hour early I wanted another slice.

Maybe its normally good here but the cheesecake was inedible. Four of us tried it and none of us could eat it. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a fail. I might would try it again I I lived there but wont return if Im back there.

We always go here for a treat especially when company is in town.Their Double Dutch Caramel Apple Pie (I believe is what its called) is our favorite along with a scoop of cookie dough ice cream.Ive tried it with the Salt and Caramel before and it was good but to much caramel.

Went with my family last night. We ordered 3 pieces of Dutch Caramel Apple Pie, 2 bowls of ice cream and 2 brownies. I was the lucky recipient of a hair in my piece Caramel Apple Pie. When we approached the young staff member she acted like she didnt care I was nauseated. We told her we found a hair in the pie and she said okay and walked away. We threw all 3 pieces of pie we ordered away as they were from the same pan. Very disappointed with the service. I didnt want my money back but a replacement was never offered. Probably done with them for awhile!

The Rocky Road has good flavor but was a bit gritty. I noticed some flavors had freezer burn on the top.

Its a little bit smaller than the one that Im used to and the parking is not easy. I wanted more variety of Christmas cookies but the ones that I did purchase were good!

This place has some of the best Homemade Pies and Ice Cream around. It gets extremely busy around the holidays, but is well worth any wait you may experience.

Awwwww, the young people who work here are so sweet, polite and professional! I was having a sugar attack and they laughed as I indulged and made me make this my new location even though the store in Fern Creek is closer to home. Customer service is everything to me and these young folks get that!

Poor service. Made me wait to check out until multiple people in line behind me had been helped. Messed up my shake and didnt fix it when I asked. First impression was not good for me.

First visit and not impressed at all. Peanut Butter Fudge was freezer burnt and gritty like eating sand. Menu says they serve ice cream pie by the slice but the guy working said they have to be pre-order a day in advance. Seriously, who pre-orders a SLICE of pie?! Probably wont be back. And just watched the guy licking his fingers in between scoops:-/

Good pie and cake, but the service was slow and unfriendly. One person working, and with no sense of urgency. I had to laugh when she pushed the tip container towards me as she rung up my food. Several people behind me left without ordering after waiting too long. 3/6 @ 7pm.
