Great StoreI go there on a regular basis, the people are always nice and helpful. Their shelves are full or they will tell u when it coming in.There a Girl name Tiss who works there, she is always nice.., like rest Staff. She Always has a smile. It one of those Stores worth Visiting. They open Early.The Store is always clean. I waited 45 minutes on a store to open, the other day.They never opened. It was Noon. Give them Try.

I was totally please today with this Dollar General store they were just sweet as they could be and they had what I was looking for and I had been in earlier and they told me to come back today after church and they would have a do their best to have what I needed and thats when they had was unloading the truck and I went in and they had what I needed and they were the sweetest nicest people you ever want to meet in your life and I was just thrilled with the store everybody in there is just as pleasant as you want them to be say no their jobs well and they have a sense of humor thats out of this world and I was blessed to show up there today and get what I needed and what I was looking for and they helped me in fact they thought they didnt have it in one of the the managers came running after me and caught me before I left in my car and told me I found you what you needed and She chased me down and I got to get it and I was so happy had enough if anybody wants a recommendation of they can get one for me because those people that work in that store are exceptional and theyre just as well mannered and and just so helpful. Ill be going there again course Ive been there before that these are new people that I just met this week and they are just as helpful as you want them to be

The stores have a good weekend sales but our Dollar General seems not to keep 7-Ups or Sunkist.

The staff was very friendly and unlike most Dollar General the isles where clear and not cluttered with stuff.The reason for the four stars the shelves were kind of empty.

Very courteous cashier. Wide variety of items. Average prices on Most items. Some cheaper than grocery or other stores, but dont expect noticeably low prices on many things. Convenient locations make them very accessible and nice.

The customer service at this store is AMAZING. The staff really take their time to help you find what your looking for, find items for you and even show what items are on sale of those that have digital coupons. Even when short staffed they ring you up as fast as they can and their love for their job + exquisite customer service skills really do shine thru.

Your average Dollar general but has a freezer section so thats nice, could use an update to its floor, its pretty dirty in some areas also more carts would be a good addition.

I would really appreciate when I go to show the employee a picture of what I’m looking for after I tried to look for it myself that she wouldn’t say, oh no we don’t have that before I even showed her the picture just bc she didn’t want to help me look. I have found this item at 3 other Dollar General Stores. And then another customer asked where an item was and she told him a couple of isles where it might be. She was literally doing nothing, looking at her phone and we were the only two customers in the store at the time so she easily could have showed him where it was. I don’t love my job either but I still go the extra mile for people.

I gave this store 3 stars for several reasons. While the prices may be convenient you are very likely to shop in a messy store. Also, the staff members are sometimes indirectly rude all while the cash registers are malfunctioning so you cannot use your coupons or the bypass the checkout line feature offered by The Dollar General store. This store isnt terribly awful nor is it something to rave about either. However, it is just right for purchasing whatever it is that you need but at a cheaper price. (My apologies for my novel.)

I went there to buy starlight peppermints(red and white)and allergy pills. They were out of the red and white starlight peppermints(only had the green and white). So I only got the allergy pills. The cashier was nice she greeted me with a hello when I walked in. Nice clean and spacious store, the other ones resemble a flea market, messy,things not stocked, still on the carts in boxes..

I had to get help to open the doors...as many other customers did. At first we thought they were closed. Apparently the fuse blew on something to keep the doors from opening automatically. This happens a lot. Its a shame really...the store has been overhauled and redone nicely. But its always either the air going out...the doors not opening properly...no heat in the winter..just to name a few things wrong.

Rude staff, hurry up& buy attitudes. Didnt have change for a $50, supposedly. When I informed the cashier thats all I had however, immediately like magic she did. Pretty clean and organized, might be due to lack of inventory... But still, not an overall bad experience.

This place is a life saver if youre a UofL student. They carry anything from cleaning supplies, food, or school supplies.

I have been so discouraged from going to the dollar general in my neighborhood (Broadway). Most of the time I have had a bad experience mainly because of rude and nasty cashiers. However, at this store it was a pleasant change. The cashier was friendly and the manager even more. Most wait until the line is really backed up before they step in and open another register. This manager saw only 3 people and immediately came to assist. They both said thank you after my purchase which is again a welcomed courtesy!

Many of the shelves were empty. Im not sure if the store was closing down or being remodeled. It was my first time there. The staff was very friendly and polite.

I will NEVER shop at this store again. I had the backpack I use to being my laptop, etc. To work and as soon as I walked in the woman behind the counter said I had to leave my backpack at the front of the store. When I pointed out that I was in a dollar store and that the contents of my backpack cost more than anything they sell, I was told that homeless people steal things there and that I could bring any bags or backpacks in because of it. I was like, ok so youre saying that you think I look like im homeless??? I cant believe these people think its ok to insult their customers and to make them leave their valuables under the care of a high school dropout who makes minimum wage!! Do NOT shop here, go to literally any other dollar store in the city for a much better selection and staff that have at least halfway decent customer relations

I was talked to very rudely and both cashiers refused to ring up my purchases because the fat black lady has a personal problem with my wife. Both women refused to give me the corporate number and you go look it up cause Im not giving it to you. I was told that I was banned but I was just in the same store about a two months ago with no issues she kept saying I cursed her out which is a lie.

This store is the cleanest dollar store I have been to since Ive lived in Louisville. Shelves were stocked and the employees knew where I could find everything I needed (kitchen sink drain screen). I would go out of my way to go to this Dollar General.

I love going to this dollar general, because its convenient, close by, and I can use PayPal there. But sometimes the staff is rude and unfriendly and acts like they just dont want you there. But some of the staff is spectacular. While the prices are more than Krogers, which is down the street, its smaller and can find what you need faster. I would say that the staff could be better, but over all its a good Dollar General.

Was medium to well stocked in the refrigerated goods. Seemed busier than normal for a Sunday evening, but the staff was still super friendly!

The DG on Winkler is by far the best I have seen. It is always well stocked, clean and friendly service.

The white lady behind the counter is always helpful and nice but the black lady is always rude hateful and does everything she can to make your shopping experience as miserable as ahe is.

This is by far the cleanest Dollar general I have ever been in. In fact it was the only clean Dollar general I have ever been in. They did say that they had just been remodeled but the two women working were busy helping customers and appeared to be very proud of their store. It was easy to find what I needed and both women were very welcoming!

This shop is most valuable for its proximity to my abode. It carries a wide variety of chattels, and, excepting fresh fruits, vegatables, and meats, provides all that is needed to maintain a small household. That said, there have been occasions where I was seeking a very particular thing, and it was out of stock at the moment. The staff extremely friendly and helpful, and the shopkeep always wishes a blessed day upon me as I leave. Most commendable

Dollar General store has been a favorite place 4 odds and ends and everyday household products and kids school items stores in pretty good shape and usually has enough workers to assist in helping you find what you need

This particular DG is in a nice large building with wide aisles. Merchandise is set out in its own area, not all cramped up or piled on top of each other. The employees are nice and although I havent had any questions for the staff, I have heard other customers and the employees have been courteous and knowledgable. The only drawback is the location. Ive been asked for money, I have seen arrests, and I have had to move out of the way when one guy ran out of the store with stolen items. Just pay attention to your surroundings.

I go there for the convenience and low prices and whenever I dont want to go to the big stores I can go in and out in a few minutes I recommend it to everybody
