Finally tried this place after all the videos on FB & it did NOT disappoint. These donuts were so big, fluffy & little crunchy at the same time. Never had donuts like this. Sooo yummy & the staff is so friendly!!

I have 6 teenagers who all wanted doughnuts. We are new to the area and thought we would try them. The guy behind the counter had excellent suggestions and was super helpful. The doughnuts were hot and fresh. So delicious. I would recommend this to anyone. Thanks guys for your wonderful doughnuts

I stopped there today for the first time. I was greeted warmly and the women behind the counter was very pleasant and took time to explain all the unique donuts they had. I truly enjoyed my treats and would go back again! I love to be able to support a small business like this one.

I have never been able to get a donut that taste like a funnel cake. And I did today. Kelsey my 2 year old has never wanted a chocolate donut and she ate a hole one and my 10 year old is on his 2nd. It’s so worth it.

These are the best donuts in town! They are light and not too sweet. I especially love the donut holes, they almost dissolve in your mouth theyre so good! Everything in the case is good and anytime I bring these donuts to breakfast meetings they impress people.

I have seen this on a Facebook group for weeks and finally made it here. It does not disappoint! The donuts are wonderful and the staff is amazing. This was so worth the drive, I will definitely return for more donuts, but get there early they sell quickly

I wanted to love these donuts for many reasons but unfortunately no one in my household enjoyed them... even my children who LOVE sweets rejected them (and they are 2 &5). They lacked flavor and the icing (nor toppings) helped the situation. Taste like cardboard and oil. Though the donuts are relatively large, it wasnt worth the price in the least. 😔 thumbs down for me.

State Donuts will become Staceys Donuts, named after the original owner. The story is bittersweet, but the donuts are pretty good, you have the choices of cream or strawberry filling and they will fill any donut you wish, right in front of you. I got certain filling, it was the best cream Ive ever had. Usually I dont digest donuts well but these gave me no problems at all. And somehow, we stayed full for the entire morning off 1 1/2 donuts each. The new owner is personable and quick. We will definitely return.

Absolutely the best donuts anywhere! Living in Florida now we really miss the goodness. And we dont find anything even close on our trips across the country to New Hampshire. If you live anywhere near State Donuts, go there now!

I came here to pick up some donuts for my brother (today’s his birthday) and received friendly service and the best donuts my family has had. They were light and fluffy, the jelly filled made my brother smile :)That being said, I would recommend labeling the donuts in the display. It would be the cherry on top of what Is already a good experience.

I discovered this place a while back while looking for an alternative to the normal donut chains, and it is honestly my favorite donut shop. The donuts are always fresh, soft, and doughy. They have a great variety to choose from, as well as a few beverages to take with you. The store is always clean and presentable. I will continue to buy donuts from this location as long as I am in Louisville.

Staceys Donuts is worth the stop! Im a doughnutphile; I plan my stay in other cities based on proximity to good doughnut shops. With that being said, I am so glad I paid Staceys a visit today. The fast and friendly service was outstanding, but the fresh doughnuts were even better. Staceys is now my go-to Louisville doughnut shop. Give them a try - youll be glad you did!

Best donut I have ever eaten.

I actually only live a couple of minutes from this place but have never tried it until now. When you first walk in, its very tiny and empty and all you see is the cashier and donuts. The donuts are huge compared to other donuts you would buy or get such as gas stations, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, etc. Due to Covid-19, they are only accepting credit/debit cards at the moment and are only open until donuts are sold out so its a first come first serve basis. I bought a dozen donuts for about $13 (half original glaze, half specialty) and the donuts taste amazing! You can definitely tell its fresh and made in the place and is filled with passion.

Please note. This is NOT STATE DOUGHNUTS. Some of the reviews on here now are not for Stacy’s. That said, here we go. Pros-BEST glazed doughnut in Louisville. Hands down. One doughnut will fill you up...maybe 2. Think funnel cake tasting doughnuts and that’s what at you have. Cons-This business won’t last of business practices aren’t improved unless they want to operate as a pre-order business only. Running out of doughnuts before 8:30AM is disastrous for long term growth. If they get themselves a good food business consultant, I see great things and even expansion if they choose. The doughnuts are that good.

Best donuts in the east end by far. I love the people giving negative reviews because they showed up late and they were out of donuts. Its the equivalent of the This place is awful it was very crowded and there was a line out the door. You obviously arent getting the point. Try not being an idiot next time. Go early. Get tasty donuts. Go late? No tasty donuts.

This quaint little shop has a great variety of donuts. The glazed donuts nearly melt in your mouth. It is a regular stop for me on my way to work whenever i am in the mood for donuts. You cannot go wrong here.

Not a pleasant experience for my first and last visit. Limited availability of donuts at 7am. TV was playing way too loud. You could only choose between two drinks, milk or bottled water. Yes that means NO COFFEE!! I have never seen a place sell donuts that didn’t even have coffee. Not that they were out but didn’t even have it available.Save your money and go elsewhere, you’ll thank me.

$25 for a dozen donuts. Are you kidding me? No prices on anything and total was calculated on workers cell phone. We will never go back there.

This is just a donut shop. Don’t go in expecting a grand bakery; just a decent assortment of donuts in a small storefront. However, the donuts were great! I called ahead, the day before, and ordered 4 dozen for a meeting at work the next day. This was the first time I had ordered from here; usually we order from Heitzman’s. All of my co-workers were very happy with the donuts from this new place. Donuts had a great texture, great flavor; nothing fancy, they were just very good. Service was prompt and polite. I will definitely go here again.

You cant go wrong with State Donuts. I dont make it over there often, but when I do, I try to be early. When they sell-out they sell-out. If youre an early riser like I am and can get over there before 7:30, then youll have a fantastic selection of the best donuts in town. If you dont wander in until 9:30 or 10, then dont be surprised that theres not much selection.

My daughter raved about these donuts so I had to try them. I was instantly turned off by the oil smell when I walked in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and instantly regretted it with the first bite. A fried nasty mess, yuck.I am a donut connoisseur but I HATED these donuts, seriously. They just tasted sooooo fried. The fried taste was disgusting to me, like old oil. I gave them one star because the place was clean and the girl was nice.

I didnt get to try the donuts. When I walked in it smelled like old stale oil. I thought Id still give them a try since they had great reviews. There were still plenty of donuts when I got there at 10:30. I picked out two donuts and then they told me they wouldnt take a credit card for anything under $5. That, paired with the bad smell, were enough signs to tell me to move on even though I had the cash in the car... Maybe it was just a bad day for them?

The cake donuts (especially chocolate) are fabulous! We enjoyed the choices of filling (custard, frosting, or jelly).
