Let me just say that the customer service here at this location was awesome!!!!! This was our first time here. 2 lady greeted us with a smile and kindly guided us through their system. Thank you all for hiring such good people!

Great staff that fully engage with my kids. My children always have a wonderful time here and cannot wait to return. The staff are polite, and very kid-centric.

Took my daughter there to build a bear for her graduation. It was a great experience. She loved it! They had little graduation cloths and since she was in JROTC, she bought a army uniform for her dragon (she got toothless).

I went into this Build-A-Bear to get a bear with my moms voice in it - she recently passed away. I wanted my Dad to have something to keep with her voice. Leah was as nice and caring as can be during my visit there. Thank you for your empathy, Leah. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.

I went in for my daughters birthday, which was her first time coming here . Weve been at build a bear plenty of times with our older kids . Anyways, when we entered, we were greeted, however while we picked out a little bear for my daughter when went to get it stuffed and from my experience in getting them, they always did a little speech of some sort to make it fun for the kids . All she did was tell her to put the heart on her nose and make a wish, and off we went.Also I mentioned it was her birthday and from the promotion going on with counting candles, they did not even mentioned anything about it, nor even helped us, at least to save some money. I was a little disappointed with that, like at least help a family out with mentioning it and knowing its her birthday. The vibe was off to be honest and I just wanted to leave . Oh well, Ill be going to a different one .

Very busy mid day on a Saturday, but we were still taken care of and received great customer service. They answered our questions and helped us find what we were looking for.

Me and my sister came in today and had a great experience! We were helped by Abby and Lizzie who were just the sweetest. Out of all the shops we went to today they had the kindest customer service. Much love! :)

Me and my sister stopped by to build a bear for memories and we had a blast and adopted two bears. Abby and Lizzie were amazing absolutely wonderful customer service workers. They were super nice and fun made the experience so much more fun!

When I walked in I wasnt greeted. I also stood at the door for a long time because a posted sign said to wait for a staff member. When no one addressed me or approached, I inquired. They said I didnt have to wait. 😒 If My child wasnt so excited to stuff his mail ordered bear (with the coveted Spiderman outfit) and I hadnt driven 1 hour to get there Id have left, but love won that day. Anyhoo once in the store there were no issues. The young girls in the store were helpful and friendly and my baby had the best time. Because hes older and tall for his age I was worried they wouldnt make it special for him, but they did. Hes been waiting a long time to visit a build a bear store.

We have visited build a bears all over and have always had fun great visits. But the louisville location was just not a great visit. Lines where long and staff was not helpful. Two people stuffing animals why 4 stood at the register. Only one was checking people out. It was just not what we expect from build a bear. The two stuffing animals had no smiles and where very short with kids. They looked as they hated their jobs. Prices where also marked wrong. We seen bears buy one get one for 10.00 as said online also. But when we went to check out they did not ring up that way. We asked and it was stated those are only on a few animals your total is. Just an all around sad visit to a build a bear. Hoping we can visit again and our minds be changed about this location.

Most importantly, both the kids made a bear, and had a few smiles. The store was gorgeous. We came to the store as a late Valentine’s Day gift for the kids. Overall they were happy. The lady who checked us out was wonderful!!! I told her how amazing the store looked, and she told me about how they just restocked and she worked hard on it. Go girl!!!!! You made the trip a lot better experience.But there has to be a bad apple in every bunch. The lady who didn’t even greet us, we had to ask her what do we do and where to start. Was the the definition of every rude employee. She looked at us bugged eyed and used a rude tone.(Only to myself and my husband) so much so we had to closely closely watch how she interacted at the stuffing/hearts table with kids- unknowing if she was gonna be rude with them..... because I am not sure about how things go in Louisville, but I am from small town Kentucky, and that’s a big no no.Ultimately the good out weighs the bad, but having to make sure a employee isn’t rude to kids at a KID store shouldn’t be seen as normal.2/24/2021!

Great experience for the kids and they have a great staff. The kids knew what they wanted so it was easy. But with it being the only workshop around I feel like they need a bigger selection. Overall great!

Great service and clean store. The former location (two stores down) was more heavily themed and felt larger, but the new layout works well. My son was a little disappointed on our recent visit with the selection, but there were at least 20 bears or other animals to select from. Staff was very friendly.

Theres not much to say as far as in store experience goes, as I visited online, but the website was awesome. The new Animal Crossing stuffed animals are just too cute!

I love this place! Great for kids of all ages (the young and young at heart). I believe I was in my late twenties when I got to make my first bear. My son was young and we each made one together. It was a magical experience and I have returned several times to make more bears and other magical creatures. (The Wonder Woman bracelets in the picture was Not from there.)

Awesome, they filled build a bear items bought online and filled them firmly without trying to charge, friendly about it, and store is of course clean.

We were there for one of my kids birthdays (tradition)and she made my little girl feel special and treated her like royalty. She greeted us at the door with a big smile and made my little girl feel welcome immediately.

Elliot is the best animal stuffer there is! She was so sweet! She made my kids so happy and excited. The wait was long of course, but it was well worth it! Will be returning to this place over and over again.

I love this place!! I love the staff!! Always friendly! And they dont mind young or old they always treat me like its my special day! This is the best place to celebrate any occasion!! Little pricey, but so worth it!! And the stuffed animals are one of a kind!!

My daughter had a great time creating her bear, and the staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but it is hard to leave without spending more on clothing, accessories, and embellishments than the actual bear! I wouldnt say we were pressured to buy more, but the process seemed to be built around an expectation of upselling. My advice is to set a firm budget (even better if you limit yourself to cash only), and make sure your child understands the limits before going in. While those are always good, its especially important at a place like BAB.

We arrived at closing without knowing and they welcomed us in, never rushed us and was super helpful and friendly!!!! Love all the choices and the prices were great!!! Definetly Will return for years to come!!!!

Thank you Build-A-Bear for the pay your age day. The line was to be expected with such a great deal. My baby girl took the day like a champ. She was very happy with her Poppy at the end and of course after a long, hot, exciting day she passed out happily with her new buddy on the way home. This was her first Build-A-Bear and we will definitely be coming back for more.

Was a lot of fun... there was a nice sized line but they were doing the pay your age promo this week, so it was expected!!! Products are very cute and soft with so many styles to choose from! My daughter and nephew both loved it and made super special gifts for their sisters!

We went to Build-A-Bear on the “Pay Your Age Day.” It was a super nuts long line and we were crazy to stay. But when we got inside, they were so sweet and patient and kind. They treated our kids like they were the only ones in the store all day. No frustration shown by anyone from all of the crazy they had to deal with. What a sweet and kind staff! It was clean inside, which was impressive given the type of day they had. They had plenty of fun bears to choose from, even after hours of having a bajillion kids. I was impressed, and my kids loved their bears! We found a tear in the seam of one of the bears after we had already stuffed it. One of the employees sewed it up, and was happy to do it for us instead of acting put out. Great staff!

We love this place, Specials on gift cards when you buy things, plus the kids get to stuff their own animal, say animal as they arent all bears. Birthday parties and I even got an Iron Man bear for myself. 😁

The ladies who work here are very nice and patient with my horde of children and the selection is very large. My only complaint is the cost, but we knew that going in.

They were very attentive an empathetic to the situation that caused us to build a bear. They did their job well and I will always be thankful for her help.

Love it. I took my nieces and nephews here and its just awesome that they get to design their own stuffed animal and watch them make it. Highly recommend. A little pricey but well worth it.

I went here for my 18th birthday, even though I wasn’t a little kid the girl working still made me feel welcome . She was super nice and I would definitely recommend this build a bear. It can be a bit expensive though so going on a special occasion can make it extra special.

I purchased 2 gift cards in October in a store, I have tried using them online 4 times, I live 113 miles away from nearest store. I called the # on the back of the card to make sure they were activated, they were and still didnt work. I called Build a Bear corporate # they explained how to use the GC I tried again, nope! I called corporate back the female stated she could place the order for me, GREAT! She told me the total applying the GCs, awesome! Looked at my CC statement NOPE, GCs did NOT get applied. I will NEVER buy GCs from BaB again. I threw them in the trash.

Took my goddaughter here for Christmas. We had so much fun picking out her paw patrol stuffed animal. They have a tremendous variety of stuffed animals to pick from as well as apparel and accessories etc. They involve the kids in the bear making process.

Just got an awesome bunny made, Trent was absolutely fantastic. Im an adult, & the bunny was for me lol, but the way Trent treated me & joked with me, hes got to be a favorite with little ones :)Great experience, highly recommend, definitely try to get Trent if you can!

The old lady with the glasses didnt tell me it was going to cost extra for the sound. I thought I was going to pay just 7 dollars for my daughters birthday bear. Watch her shes said it comes with the bear. If your on a fixed income you dont want surprises. So, be ware but it was nice as always.

I love this place. It is so much fun to build your own stuffed animal. Be careful going around major holidays though because they will be packed. We went at Valentines Day and it was chaos.

We took our daughter there for her 2nd birthday. The girls there so inviting as soon as we walked in the door. They helped my daughter pick out what bear she wanted and even let her help stuff it. It was a great experience for her!

The new location is filled with so many things and there is the same friendly staff as always. The open ceiling causes every noise to be amplified and the staff have to almost yell for you to hear them. The new checkout space is small and cramped making getting to the 2nd register nearly impossible if there is already a customer at the first one. Add a birthday party to the mix and my kids (along with at least one more visitor) had a pretty lousy time. Disappointed to say the least. Weve been loyal BAB customers for years.

Had to leave my kids for a while and was able to have a bear made with my voice to tell them good night every night and I love them best thing ever

My son had fun filling his bear! He is autistic and they made sure he had fun the whole time we were there.

Trying to book a birthday party was the worst experience, and I called the store to confirm the party was booked, a week ahead, then the day of the party we walk in and they are surprised that there is a party tonight?? I would not recommend this so far.

Very, very busy today. I do not know if every Saturday is this busy. But it is crazy in here today. There are about 30 people in line in front of us. Looks like at least an hour just to het our bear stuffed. This is really hard for a small child to have to wait this long just for a teddy bear. I can not believe this is the only build-a-bear in Louisville.
