Neil is the man... I went to the other big Golf store in Louisville and they acted like they didnt want to even talk to me. I walk into Golf headquarters the first time and Neil made my experience super easy and helped me pick out a wedge and new putter... Neil even saved me some money finding a like new used Odyssey putter.As I got more into Golf I called Golf Headquarters to get fitted for clubs for the first time. I walk in and Im waiting on my fitting and Neil walked by and says Hi. The next time he walked by I told him he was the reason I came back the store. Neil finished with the customer he was helping and did my fitting himself. Never once did he try to sell me anything that I didnt need. After getting fitted I found out that I needed to go from Regular shafts to stiff shafts due to my swing speed. Also I need 1 inch longer clubs due to being 63. Neil tried to get me into some used irons but at the time their selection was limited. Im in no super hurry to switch them so Ive been checking in with Neil each week to see if they have got any irons that fit what Im looking for. Talked to him yesterday and going back Friday because he thinks they have a few options in the store now. Customer service goes along way and Ill be going to Golf Headquarters for all my golfing needs.

Absolutely amazing. Needed a new driver, got fitted, no pressure, regriped the club. Then gave me credit for my old driver plus some other clubs. Saved about $ 170. Plus thru in a cap. Great people to deal with especially with Neal. I had the opposite experience with a different store. That guy is hurting their business for sure.

I have been trying to pick the game back up and have been in the market for a used set of clubs. At 64, my friends had recommended that I get measured/fitted for clubs. The first time I went in, their fitting appointments were booked for the day, but offered to schedule me for the next day. (Thats totally on me--make sure to call ahead to reserve a fitting time!).When I arrived for my appointment the next day, I got paired up with Neal to assist with my fitting. I explained at the outset that I was not a professional golfer (obvious to everyone!) and was not looking to purchase a custom, new set of clubs. I simply wanted to understand what size clubs I should be using and hopefully build a set of used clubs. Neal said hed be more than happy to help me out and took me back to the virtual range/fitting studio, where he measured my height and wrist-to-floor distance, and then had me hit a few balls. He recommended that I should be using clubs with a 1 shaft extension. He expressed that is often difficult to find used clubs with custom sizing, but would see if they had anything in stock. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a set of used irons, a driver, a fairway wood, and a putter that all fit my specifications. While the used clubs had a few scratches and marks (as to be expected) the grips were in fantastic condition. Most importantly--they feel GREAT.Neal also assisted with finding me a new golf bag and recommended other accessories. At no time did I feel like he was trying to upsell me or judge me for putting together a set of clubs on a budget. He was incredibly patient, informative, and even gave me some great tips on how to enjoy the game. All in all, I was able to build a complete used set, with a new bag and accessories for under $500. A great experience all-around. This store will have my business for life.

Put a few employees through the ringer tweaking pretty minute driver specs and wedge builds, and they never once seemed inconvenienced as so many do. The quality and variety of gamers they have right off the rack isnt matched by anyone in town, and that includes any pro shop. The mint Tour Victory full cords in the bargain bin were a nice bonus!

I have shopped and got fitted for clubs at Club Champion, PGA Superstore, and Golf Galaxy. Golf Headquarters was by far the best experience I’ve had. The whole process was awesome. Their fittings are just as accurate as Club Champion’s using Trackman and their prices are so much better. At one point I had 3 people in the hitting bay taking a look at my swing and the results and giving feedback and helping me work towards the best fit for me. I got my clubs built to my specs in 2 weeks. Club Champion was 6-8 weeks out. When I got my clubs I got a gapping session to get accurate yardages off the new clubs... all this was for the price of the clubs... which was under half of what Club Champion was going to charge me and the fitting at Club Champion was $350. They truly are customer first in their approach and it shows.

Went to Golf Headquarters after going to Golf Galaxy 1st (mistake). Got a fitting done at Golf Galaxy were I was treated well at 1st (not a very in-depth fitting). To make a long story short, bought the clubs I was fitted for from eBay, but with a different shaft in it that I was fitted for (too good a deal to pass up). Wanted to see if this shaft was comparable to the one I was fitted for or if I needed the clubs reshafted so I went back to golf Galaxy for help (last time I’ll make that mistake). The guy up there told me I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference in the 2 shafts if I were blind folded because I wasn’t that good. Never felt so disrespected & unsatisfied. This wasn’t the point. I know I’m not a professional & never will be. No one who goes to golf Galaxy is a professional golfer. Anyways the point was I have never been fitted for clubs before in the 20 years I’ve been playing and wanted what was best for me. That was the entire point of the fitting. (I shoot in the 80s by the way, I’m not that bad). So I left, pretty mad at this point and went to Golf Headquarters and told them my situation. They basically did a refitting for me free of charge. The guy there (Keith) was great! Helped me by letting me hit balls with several different shafts and compared the results with ones I had bought off eBay. He came to the conclusion that the ones in the clubs were the ones best suited for me and not the ones they fitted me for at Golf Galaxy (lucky me). He put my mind at ease and actually gave me a few great pointers. Thanks Keith. I’ll be going to Golf Headquarters for all my golfing needs from here on out. Their prices are better and and treat you better in every way.

I have been shopping there for the past ten years, the last few visits I have been treated as if I was not welcome there because I was in work clothes, not golfing apparel. I was over charged for grips by the owner and when I asked why, the staff gave me everything but a refund or credit for the difference.This golf store has lost my business for now.I may be one person, my opinion may not matter to them. They did me wrong and I do not plan going back there.I work hard for what I earn, I dislike being cheated or ripped off!Regardless of how much money was involved.

This Golf equipment site had everything. They also have a fluid selection of used clubs with a liberal return (for store credit) policy. Pleasant help is abundant in the store.

I went into Golf Headquarters with my driver, possibly to trade it in. The salesman ask me to hit it a few times so he could see what I was doing with it. After I hit it, he adjusted it and ask me to hit it again. Whatever he did worked and I started hitting it great. I really appreciate him being honest and helping me before selling me something I didn’t need. For this reason, I will continue to buy all my golf equipment from Golf Headquarters. The staff is friendly, helpful and most of all, honest. A+ 5 stars

I’ve known tony for 45 years and nothing’s changed. Tony is sincere, honest, cares about others and it shows with his staff and customers. The best golf store ever.

Just left Golf HQ (Tuesday at 2:15pm) after what was truly the most disappointing shopping experiences I have had anywhere. I have shopped here for many years including purchasing a new set of irons here last year. I spoke directly with the owner that day and he was an all-star. Today the staff was more concerned with getting drinks from Speedway than selling golf clubs so after not be able to get assistance for more than 20 minutes, I asked staff if I could hit a club and he pointed to the hitting bays and said to grab a roll of tape and tape the face. I didnt mind to do this one bit but as soon as I did, one of the other staff that had been ignoring me jumped up and told me to wait on available staff before entering the area. I told him that staff told me to get the tape and that I could then use the hitting bay. Rather than apologize, this punk wanted me to identify who told me to do so. He either thought I was lieing or wanted to jump on someone one for doing his job for him. What a cluster!

Went in for a custom fitting. Scheduled it ahead of time. Greg was super knowledgeable and very helpful. Did not push me towards any brand and worked hard to get to what he felt was the best result. I’m super happy with my results!The other staff is super knowledgeable and works hard to help the customer in front of them. They never rush and tend to be brand agnostic.If you are looking for golf clubs, come here. Get fit and buy through them... they even ended up cheaper on some things I ordered online!

Went in to get fitted for a new driver yesterday. Had an idea of what i wanted but was open minded. Greg is UNREAL with his knowledge on using the trackman and various club components. Asked some questions while I hit, was decisive in his recommendations and very quickly found the best combo that was light years better than the others I was hitting. Chris was extremely helpful as well and they made a good team. I dont upgrade clubs often but when Im spending $500 on a single club, I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.
