Fast great service but I bought a headcover a couple months back and unfortunately the stitch is coming undone where the leather meets the fabric. They are high quality and expensive so was disappointed when I saw this.Update 8/26/20 Owners contacted me and are sending me a new one right away. Awesome customer service.Update 10/11/20 unfortunately after the S&J contacted me that they would send another, I never heard back from them when I confirmed my address was the same. They do have really great headcovers, I just happen to get a lemon.

He will tell you where the leather came from, how it’s made and it’s uniqueness.I recently received a duffle bag, waxed canvas and leather. I wanted a personalized golf bag to augment my newfound appreciation for the simpler side of golf. Im reclaiming the leisure in my weekly walk with fewer clubs, a light buzz, a little pipe smoke, and a more discerning selection of playing partners. I knew a garden variety big box store stand bag wasnt going to fit into that dynamic. I was on a search for a pencil bag with leather, waxed duck, and tartan. I shopped the brands and found the best bang for my buck at Steurer & Jacoby. So, I ordered.They were very tolerant of my pedantic control of the personalization process. When my Deluxe Pencil bag came in it was exactly the way I specd it so I know they were paying attention to my ramblings. I believe I have Meghan to thank for that.It was clear as soon as I opened the box that they take great pride in crafting these products. Even down to the trestle sticks, which could easily be overlooked as such a minor component as to not need any real care in construction. Well, they sweat the details. Beautifully machined brass, sweetly aromatic leather, a burnished oiled oak finish, and what is best I can tell burned in branding. Yall, were only talking about the trestle sticks here.The only thing light about this bag is the weight. The stitching on the bag is heavy. The leather and tartan are thick and beautiful. The entire thing is lined with waxed canvas. Only by lack of size and silly affectations is this bag so light. Id be curious to see how their large bag carries. There is a clue in the tour sling my bag is fitted with. It is thick, supple, and luxuriously padded for such a light bag. It clearly was designed with a heavier bag in mind. After a few loops, Im sure Ill be grateful about the trickle down ergonomics in play here.Any negatives? Sure. This doesnt happen fast, and they arent cheap. I dont know how you could expect either though, and if thats what youre looking for I doubt youd be reading this review. Buy a Craigslist staff bag and try to keep up the pace, will ya?Ill update/edit with some pictures and as I see how this carrier wears. Ive got no real concerns other than dealing with dew and moisture in this swamp I call home. First impressions are that the operations at S&J are the definition of fastidious, the product theyre producing is top tier quality, and it is just the companion Ive been looking for to enhance my afternoon strolls.
