Mikes place!! Ive known him for years and hes got a great business. The workers in here are great, always wanting to help you as soon as you enter the door. He couldnt ask for better employees! I use to do business with him at his first store on old 3rd street. Thats when I first met him and the good guys over there. Funny how time passes and you end up back with the same company not the same employees, but the same owner that you always loved doing business with. Im sure hell appreciate this, not knowing who I am and Im sure hell be curious. Lol Hi Mike!! Just be happy you have a great business!!

Great Mom and Pop store. Super friendly and helpful. they might be a little higher then the big box stores, but you dont have to wonder around looking for help if you need it and you can be in & out a lot faster.

Fast customer service, convenient parking, friendly staff, ok selection for local hardware.Inexperienced staff, cannot rely their advice.I would rather support a small place like this vs Home Depot or Lowes, however Lowes has some experienced workers and I get much better plumbing and other advice.

Was only inside for a short period of time. They have a post office inside which is nice however the parking lot has a lot of pot holes so be careful. That was my only main complaint

What a great locally owned hardware store. You receive personalized attention the moment you walk in the door, unlike at Lowes and Home Depot. They are very knowledgeable and will actually walk you to what you need, real customer service at a hardware store, which is a dying breed, but not at Phelps. They know how to put the customer first.

Best store in Louisville. Reminds me of my home town hardware store in the country.

My shower valve and diverter stems were leaking and I could not find out the company who made them. I went to Phelps Hardware in PRP and Don was able to use a tool and match the exact parts I needed to finish the repair. Tim gave me additional information to have the project completed correctly and make my work easier. They also have some other products that no other place has.

This is a great local hardware store AND post office. Its nice to be able to get in, find what you want and get out quickly. Always get great service when I need help finding things. And the post office is a nice convenience. I recommend Phelps to anyone trying to avoid the big box stores.

The people in Phelps hardware as usual but they are very courteousand it work right away they said theyd make it over if it didnt and I can go in there because they have a post office in the back of the store and that is Handy for me and I was very pleased that I was able to get in there didnt have to stand in line for long periods of time

Mr. Phelps and Mrs. Phelps are always helpful down to the smallest details. Excellent quality products and beyond great service. By local and support you local businesses. I will continue to frequent their locations to the exclusion of the big box stores. If for some reason they dont have what you want or need, it can typically be ordered. Always going to the post office in there there machine is always froze up and they tell me it will be 30 min before it comes back. I mailed a few packages there that has not made it to its destination

Got to the store at 6:55, 5 minutes before close, doors were locked. Just needed a sawzall blade. Ive tried to give this place all my business to help support the smaller guys even though theyre a little higher in price than the bigger box stores, not anymore. If youre gonna lock the doors at 6:55 then change your hours instead of wasting peoples time. I work 6:30 to 5 during the week so I understand being tired and wanting to go home, but Im also in the customer service business and I understand I cant always leave AT 5:00 if my customers need me for a few minutes past then. I understand my $5 or $10 a month wont effect youre bottom line, just wanted to share my experience. No hard feelings, wish you guys well.
