Where to begin?Worst machine builder I have used in the past 30 years. From all aspects of his business Custom Engineered Machine was impossible to work with.Design, design of the indexing conveyor would not work. Motor was vastly undersized and motor drive kicked out after 2 cycles. But yet he still delivered.Delivery, Quote stated a delivery of 6 to 8 weeks. I issued an additional purchase order to expedite the build and guaranty the 6 weeks option. Actual delivery was 12 weeksPayment terms and invoices, It was a constant battle proving that payments were being made and Custom Engineered Machine was claiming that he wasn’t paid. Even after proof was made Custom Engineered Machine would email someone else in the company trying to get paid yet again.Communication, When trying to communicate with Steve he had nothing but excuses as to why things wouldn’t work, why he couldn’t deliver, why he wasn’t to blame. According to him all of this issues was someone else’s fault and that I needed to address it with his sub-supplier.Ransom, Custom Engineered Machine made multiple threats of holding other projects if he wasn’t paid even though he had already been paid on their inoperable machine.
