Loved being able to play all the beautiful pianos and purchasing one the same day i.was there. Great staff and I cannot wait to get the piano In my house

I love this place! They had a nice selection of used and new pianos, Jeff was so friendly and helpful, it was like piano shopping with a friend. I never felt pressured during the entire process, and I came back to play the pianos multiple times. Everyone was very friendly. They also have a workshop where the technicians work on the pianos on site. They are complete experts. I would highly recommend shopping here, and I will be back when Im ready to upgrade!

I used Gist to move an upright piano. The pros, calling and scheduling was a breeze, and the price was very fair. Outside of that, the experience was not great. I was scheduled for a 9-11am time slot. I had to take time off of work, so I had the scheduler confirm multiple times that the movers would be there by 9:30, and that I would receive a call when they were leaving their facility (20 min away) so I could meet them. The scheduler was adamant Youre the first move of the day. The movers usually head out around 9, so they should be there around 9:30. They will give you a call when they are headed that way. When I hadnt heard from anyone at 9:45 I panicked and thought theyd forgot to call me so I headed my the old home. No one was there. I proceeded to speak with the employee working the phones, I believe it was Matt, and he had no reason for the movers being late and said they should be there. We spoke one or two other times and I could never get an actual answer why the movers werent there or what was going on. The movers called around 11:10 and said they were a few minutes away, thankfully I was already waiting at the residence. They finally showed up around 11:15, nearly two hours after the time I was told theyd be there. The move itself was fine. The movers were ok. Two of them kept to themselves. The guy who led the charge, I think his name was Chuck?, was polite and professional. They did the move quick and no damage was done so I am happy about that. I had planned to have it tuned, but after the frustration of the move Id like to give someone else a try. Gist probably does other services very well, I can only speak on behalf of the move I experienced. But do consider this example if youre planning a move, especially if youre someone who will have to leave work to do the move. They will get the job done, and theyll do a decent job. But if the schedule goes awry, dont expect them to give you answers or to go above and beyond in any way to make up for their mistakes.

Charlie came out to our house in Shelby County and was an absolute gift to be around as he tune our old piano. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and included our young daughter into his process and made her feel helpful and important. This piano center will have us as customers for life.

My wife and I spoke with Hannah Gist about getting our little ones started with piano lessons. She was very helpful and I would recommend Gist to anyone looking for a piano. They even tune, move and service pianos!Excellent local business with great family values!

I bought my electric piano here. I visited twice and in both instances, the staff was extremely helpful. On my second visit, I arrived 30 minutes before closing time and they still accommodated me. I showed them the same electric piano bundle online and they price matched it! Highly recommended!

I went in last week to search for a piano, after finally being in a home again where one will fit (barely)! I didnt necessarily expect to make a decision that day, but I wanted to check out my options. After going to a few other stores, Gist Piano Center was a refreshing change. I was greeted and helped by James Harding, who was very friendly and obviously knew his stuff. He was incredibly helpful and obviously passionate about their pianos, which was lovely. I ended up purchasing a fabulous piano, which was just delivered to me about an hour ago! The two men who delivered my piano (I am kicking myself for not being able to remember their names) were right on time, very friendly, and knew what they were doing. Even with some very tight spaces, they were innovative and found a way to put my piano exactly where I wanted it to be. I am so appreciative of both the sales and delivery staff for all of their help, and I would recommend that anyone looking for a piano in the Louisville area (or beyond!) check on Gist Piano Center!

We often hear about what goes wrong. . . this review is about what went right!!!!We recently had our baby grand piano moved from one room to another, then back again two days later, so we could have new carpet installed. I cant say enough possitive things about Trent & Patrick (the piano movers). They were friendly, respectful, and most importantly, extremely competent with moving the piano. They represent Gist very positively. If you need your piano moved, these are your guys!!!

I couldnt be happier with my Brodmann piano! I shopped around at other stores and went to Gist several stores times before deciding on my Brodmann. Customer service was top notch from beginning to end. My piano is beautiful!

Describe my experience? In a word, ridiculous! They charge more than anyone else, they are rude and unprofessional, and they have no dedication to the paying customer. Save your time and real money and go elsewhere.
