Went there because of coupon code posted on their website for the location I went to. Upon arriving with an appt scheduled was told don’t accept that coupon anymore and they didn’t offer the service anymore. Was told of current service which was more money. Not a lot but couldn’t help feel bait and switch. Oil change took far longer than I had expected seeing had appt. bathrooms were clean but no toilet paper or soap. In a pandemic no TP or hand soap. Manager was friendly and work got done. Just the initial bait and switch feeling I didn’t like.

Just moved to the area and no longer have access to a friend’s lift and tools, so was in the market for a new shop. Went in on a Saturday (super useful, as my work schedule makes it hard to get service at most places) and got speedy and friendly service for my sad, sad neglected brakes. They took the time to bring me out to the shop floor and show me the worn parts before asking for a commitment to getting the work done. Price was in line with other shops I’ve used in the past, and the car stops efficiently and silently!

The staff at Meineke on Gorham at. are very efficient and honest. Took my car in for a few dash lights that came on. my car was diagnosed and finished in one day. Very happy customer. I will go back for future car problems.

Our Dodge van broke down on our way back to VT. We were relieved to find a place that was open on Memorial Day weekend. The van needed a new catalytic converter. We were there for several hours, but they got the job done and we were on our way. Good, reliable service.

Joe and his team at Meineke Car Care Center in Lowell are always friendly and professional. I called to get an oil change and the owner Joe was able to get me in right away. I needed to drop my car off an hour early for my 8am appointment and they were able to jump right on it and get it taken care of for me. New tire installation, lug nuts not torqued, nuts fell off wheel unstable & rim bent. I traveled out of state after tires were initially installed. Could have caused a serious accident. Josh at Lowell MA location was excellent, very thorough and professional. He replaced items/repaired and confirmed all wheels were firmly tightened. I can’t thank Josh and his technician enough! 5/22/2021I Would like to thank the employee today at Meineke, I cant remember his name (josh or chris I believe) He helped me in a real pinch....the metal covering under my car was left loose and un screwed by the previous mechanic who did my oil change and partially fell off on the highway near this meineke in lowell, after two dealerships said they couldnt help me the gentleman here told me he would help me out real quick before they closed. I came by he took the plate the rest of the way off gave me quick advice on the situation and sent me on my way. Id like to thank you again. He has earned my business today with an act of kindness and real professionalism, and I 100% intend to comeback to this Meineke for my next oil change and auto repair needs.

I highly recommend Meineke Care Car Center in Lowell, MA. Last week, I noticed water accumulating on the passenger’s floor. I took my car to the shop I was loyal, and they could not even bother to look at it. I explained my work schedule changed, and I had to be in another state the following morning, asking that they at least check it, but the answer was no.I searched for a shop nearby and called Meineke, Lowell. Josh answered the phone, and as soon as I explained to him my situation, he said to come by that they would have it checked and evaluated. It took them 5 minutes to fix a clogged AC drain. They were honest, friendly, and understanding. The knowledge, promptness, quality of the work performed, and the friendly staff made me a new client. It was beneficial and pleasant to know that this company understands and helps clients in my situation. I would give Josh and the staff six stars if it were possible. I highly recommend this place.

Catalytic converter replaced but didn’t solve problem. Why wasn’t o2 sensor replaced first?

Friendly reliable service. Replaced damaged tire with a new one, balanced, rotated, alignment. Job well done by a crew of good men. Its more than a month since I had the tire replaced so I decided to read the tire pressure on all tires. Well, I discovered they filled the new tire with 60 lbs psi., it should have been 30 lbs psi. 60 lbs psi is the max for that tire., they should have known that. Just for that Im taking 2 stars away. Their new rating is now 3 stars. Next time Ill go elsewhere.

Needed a new battery last week. Called ahead and was able drop in and have it replaced without a hitch. Josh helped me out and was great. Quick and easy with a solid staff.

First off, very awesome place! I went in for an appointment I had in the morning to check my exhaust as my car was making a loud roaring sound. Josh and his crew checked out my car and told me/showed me what was wrong with my exhaust. I was given a quote and in a couple of hours the job was done! Great energy and great vibes from this place. I will definitely be coming back and recommend everyone else to get their car needs checked out here as well!

I don’t have much to say about this place. Since this is my first time. But the guy this morning would charge me $79 if I have my own oil or use there oil at the same price. I think this is just wrong to charge customers if they have there own oil and filter. If it just labor I understand. I think I never go back to this place. Appreciate the work today

Was in a bind to have a lug nut and stud replaced and Josh at the front desk was of great help. Got me right in and helped fixed the problem from another auto body shop in a timely manner. Will definitely be going here for all my future car services.

Twice I had my 2010 crown Victoria wheel alignment performed here. The first time it was off the second time it was just not done done correctly once again. To be more exact the camber is off. One half inch rings around the outside of all four tires. I understand these are police cars and need special work sometimes however if you cant do it, say you can’t do it, I didn’t ask for the tires to be straight, I asked for an alignment. Now I’ll be shelling out another $109, to start, maybe more if the struts need to be turned at Ford.

Expensive. Was charged approximately $62 for oil change despite presenting a 30 percent coupon. With that math the “full price” would be much more expensive. I’m use to paying no more than $50 for an oil change, even at other large chains. Also, they did not fill air in tires or rotate, which all other places do without asking.

These guys are great! They did everything that was necessary for me to pass my inspection after I was rejected. Josh is very friendly and told me they were gonna do everything they could to help me out and not have to pay to much. Will come here again! The other mechanic that did the inspection took forever to get back to me with prices and I never heard from him. These guys were much quicker.Update December 11, 2020I had something else fixed, but had to go back the next morning for another quick fix to that. I went into to have some minor work done to pass my inspection sticker since I just bought the vehicle. Some issues became a major thing, (e-brake had nothing to it at all) it took a three day job, but each and every step of the way, they called me to check in, they gave me pricing at what I was spending (because I requested) before they did the job. I appreciated all the help, and now my vehicle runs and passed inspection!!! Yay!! Not too bad for a 2009 vehicle that runs now with all new parts that I needed fixed, and that looks great inside and out. 😀👍

Got my battery replaced yesterday. Battery cost was normal but they charged 30 minutes worth of labor whereas the job could be done by another place for $10. I will not be going back again.

I went to my regular mechanic to get this special gasket replaced and they were going to charge me $500, so I shopped around and took it to Meineke to see what their price would be. They saved me over a $100 by only charging me $381. Then the next day, my window was acting funky. I realized it was misaligned and I took it to Meineke and they temp fixed it for free. It was nice of Josh to like come out and help. He told me they dont specialize in windows, but to temp fix it for the time being was really nice! Try this place out for a cheaper price and a nicer staff!

My car is making noise in the muffler, the other shop is charging me a lot of money to fix it, they told me is the sway balance. . I brought it tomeineke in Lowell in Moore street and they show me the problem, they were so honest with me, and they fix it for free and they so quick to do it. I will recommend them to anybody. Job well done. Im so happy.

My wife just had a poor experience here and I cannot reccomend them.Price for tire swap changed from 39 per tire on the phone to 49.99 once I went in person. Guy was pushy and trying to sell me on other things, insisting on alignment. I told him a tire sensor was faulty and that I knew about it and he didnt listen. He had the tech remove the sensor, withiutawithout mywmy permission, trying to sell me on it that I had to fix it. I declined several times. They took a personal phone call while checking me out. Thought I would try a more local place for a simple tire swap but Im back to the dealership!

Worst place to go and get an oil change. They broke my oil pan and claimed it was broken. They left me with costly repairs because of their dishonesty and because of their ambition to get more money out of you. Car was fine, oil pan was not broken upon arriving there, had no problems with oil leaking because “it was broken” as they claimed . The whole process of just a simple oil change was improper. There was more damage done to the car if anything than when i got there . Very dissatisfied. I regret going there

I brought my car in for an oil change and my windshield wipers needed a new bushing. I asked how much is an oil change he says $29 then after my car got into bay it was $49 because my old not so luxurious 2008 car suddenly after 12 years requires some fancy oil filter which is $20 more... After the oil change I asked them to look and see if the bushing(s) on my wiper system were snapped and he comes back and says they did an accessment and it is NOT a bushing issue it must be electric and it will be $30+ to do an electric test with some machine... Well they never even took the price off my car to look at the wiper system because I can see th the entire time #1 and #2 I asked how can it be electric issue when I can clearly hear the wiper motor working when I have the wipers turned to on??!Bottom line they were willing to take advantage of me every angle they could and it was very disappointing especially because the entire time I sat there with my five yr old son they wanted to tell me how they would never take advantage of people they just want to make the car safe again.. ha ha! My husband took wiper system apart and sure as poop the bushing needed to be replaced .. thank God I didnt waste my.money letting them do tests!!NOT WORTH YOUR TRUST MONEY OR.TIME!

I went here for tires but ended up going to VIP tires. Initial price for 4 tires, labor, etc was $1337 but for cheap Nexen tires. VIP charged me $1030 for Michelin Defenders that included $60 insurance for tires. 4 star rating from me because Josh called me and tried to fight for my business.

Simply put I drive an old Ford Explorer that has sentimental value attached to it. And It needs #tlc often. Any time I see these guys. They all perform like surgeons. They treat me fair, and theyre straightforward. If you have a newer car dont complain in any review you put. If they treat my ford beater with respect, they are definitely treating your car with the care it needs. Dont complain have a coffee and sit in one of their comfortable sofas!!!

Over-charging!! $959.11 to replace 4 brake pads (yes, just pads, not include rotors). 484.98 for material and 407.68 for labor. Material charge alone is 3 times more than other repair shop would typically charge you. e.g. $48 for the sensor (I checked my previous receipt from Mercedes Burlington charge $11.30 for OEM sensor).

Based on my experience I would never go there again.I went to Meineke at lowell in last month. I went because turning my car was producing grinding noise and my car would shake sometimes at road. They solved this issue by replacing CV shaft and tires. I spent $900+ for this.However, they introduced a new issue and was reluctant to take the responsibility. After they returned me the car, the ABS light was on, which was never on before. When they handed in the keys to me, they told me very casually that ABS light is tuned on now as if it is no big deal and that is how you expect to happen in a professional service center !!..He also said, may be you can just put a new sensor and it will be fixed...It is just a sensor issue, not a real problem...(I felt like, if so, why dont you fix it as your service has triggered it?) They should have offered to fix it free as they triggered it and ABS light was not On when I gave them my car. In fact it was never on in last 6 years time since when i purchased this car..It was closing time. So, i did not argue and called them back next day...Then he was answering me that, Your car ABS may have an issue from earlier but it was suppressed. So, right now the light is popped up (seriously ??? ) They asked me to bring the car. .i found it to be a serious honesty and ethical issue. They triggered the problem and now reluctant to fix it free by their own...I clearly understood from their tone that, if I would take the car another day, they would put it on me for sure and I was not ready to spend any more money after spending $900+ ...Therefore, I did not go...I refuse to go anywhere, I find an ethical and honesty issue...

Do not bother with them unless you want a bad experience and throw away your money. I went in for the AC recharge service. They told me that I have a leak and they quoted me 1k for compressor and condensation part and labor which is absurd. I had cold AC in car before they decided to drained all of my feon. They did not charge me for draining out the feon but quoted me the 1k to get my AC repaired. Please stay away from this shop. I took my car to another shop and they put new feon in and told me that they found no leak in my system. This place need to shut down for being dishonest. I wish I could give them zero star. Bring your car elsewhere and dont give them your business.

I will never go there again and will I never refer someone to go there. I paid for a smoke test waited hours thats not the problem. The problem is they told me a big lie about what was wrong with my car why the check engine light was on. They ask for close to $1000 to fix the problem that they were stating that the car had. I forgot if my fiancé had a friend that was a mechanic I told him that and he looked at the car for me.. it took him less then 30 mins! To find the real problem and fixed it after for me and cost me ONLY $10 to buy the thing it needed..... you people over there should be ashamed of yourselves!! Please avoid this place at all cost. I went there once for oil change, and it was my first time. They overcharged me for $95 just for oil change; when I checked the bill. It said $70 for topping fluid, which I did not ask but they did it without my permission. Where the hell in the world costs you $70 for topping off fluid.???? This was the worst experience I have ever had, so please just DONT trust this place.

Im so pissed beyond belief right now! This place should be ashamed of themselves for over pricing people! 600+ (bolt on exhaust only cost 156.89) for an exhaust that could have been fixed for a 1/4 the price (I seen where it was disconnected from the engine)! And I highly recommend to any person that goes here to call around prior to any work! I called around after my gf got screwed and she could have got a custom hand made exhaust done at a reputable shop for only 310.00!! I may stop into this shop later on and express my concern of getting ripped off and how its wrong. Granted she is having 2 more things done to her car but 1 should not cost anything because she had bought the car from the manager and was tech sold a lemon, so that one part should not cost anything! So what else did they know before they sold this car to her? Bad exhaust? Gas leak? Wire problem? Ignition problem? Was in an accident(and didnt tell her until after purchase)? Who knows what else!Suggestion: earn peoples long term business by helping them out and not charging them an arm and a leg out of the gate! She will never return here, I promise.(With the amount shown above of 156.89 for a complete exhaust, where the fk do come up with a 600 charge? Scheduled an appoinment for an Alignment. Was told it would take 45 minutes. Have been waiting for 35 minutes and the car has not even been brought in. What is the point of making an appoinment.

Excellent customer service. Paul is usually at the front desk. He gives it to you straight and never tries to make you spend more than you need to. The waiting area is nice, with cable tv, comfortable couches, coffee and tea. Parking is good and the location is close to a bunch of small businesses in case you dont want to sit and wait for your car. The rates are very competitive and they usually have good specials going on. Highly recommended.UPDATE (10/2020): This place has changed management since my last review. Josh is very nice and shows an interest in his customers. He’ll let you know about available coupons and ways to save. Unfortunately, there’s also a gentleman (the name escapes me), who I believe is a co-manager and who undoes every good thing Josh does. Every time I go in for an oil change and this gentleman is there, instead of Josh, he refuses to honor their coupons. He insists that the coupons that appear on Meineke’s own website do not apply to this store. Last time I went in, which was in October, I showed him a coupon from Meineke that showed a price of about $18 for a conventional oil change. He first said that the coupon did not apply to the Lowell, even though the coupon specifically said it was from the Lowell store. Then he went on to tell me that no one uses conventional oil anymore and that all oil change places use ONLY synthetic blends. I stood there and couldn’t hide the amazement on my face. There are four cars in my house and I’ve been bringing them to this store for 8 years. 3 of them use conventional oil and one (mine) uses full synthetic. According to this gentleman, every time I bring one of the other 3 cars from my house to Meineke and present a coupon for $18 for a conventional oil change, Meineke takes it upon itself to put synthetic oil in them because it’s better for them. But, yet... he refuses to honor my $18 coupon because no one can do an oil change for that little money... huh?Finally, I needed an oil change that day as the car I brought in was 1,000 miles past due. I was getting nowhere trying to use the $18 coupon. So, I asked for a synthetic blend instead. He said it’d be $40 and pointed to a poster that had all the different oil change prices. The same coupon that had the $18 conventional oil change had a coupon that offered to take off $15 off a synthetic blend oil change. I showed it to my friend and he quickly dismissed it by saying “that’s already factored into the price I gave you”. How’s that possible when the prices on the poster were just the everyday regular prices? Why bother sending out coupons if they’re going to be factored into the price anyway? Very disappointing.
