Horrible customer service & communication with me during the process. I drove 2 hours to dealership for service. Appointment was at 11:30am & by 4pm my car had not even been looked at. I was then told they wouldn’t get to it until Monday. A simple phone call letting me know they were behind & needed to reschedule my appointment before making the commute would have saved me a lot a time. I requested off of work just to make the scheduled appointment. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience.

Peyton facilitated my purchase excellently! The entire staff at BMW of Lubbock was friendly and very attentive. The entire experience was pleasant and efficient. They may not be Alderson owned anymore but the Alderson attention to customer service is still evident. I hope the Cavender business model doesn’t lose that aspect. I am from Abilene and my daughter goes to school in Lubbock. Her BMW had some issues and she took it in for a diagnostic check. She was told what needed to be fixed and we had the issue they told us fixed. After a few hours out of the shop, the car started heating up and another diagnostic check was made. We paid and they returned the car. They did not even test drive the car after that repair. My daughter paid and less than a few miles the car was not running right and was overheating . I was upset because we had already spent $2500 on the first repair. It was my fault the first time because I let my daughter deal with Justin. Clearly she was taken advantage of. I called and talked to Justin. I made it clear I wanted everything fixed and would happily pay as long as it was fixed correctly. They told me it was the computer. After they fixed that they told me I was going to need a water pump. I was quoted $2600, but at the time Justin said he would give me a discount and it would be closer to $2100. They also said they would replace the water pump for free since I had already spent so much money. I felt like they were trying to pull a fast one, but at this point I thought, just pay and everything will be fixed. Like they said. When I went to pick it up about a week ago, we paid and it was running fine. A week later, the car is having the same issue and stalling. When I got the invoice I ended up paying $2500, so no discount or “free water pump.” I called today, and Justin was busy and Gary the manager never returned my call. About $5500 later and the car is not fixed. I just wanted to get it fixed so I could sell or trade it for a new Toyota for my daughters graduation. Now I have thrown $5500 away and have a car I can’t sell or trade. No response from Gary. Terrible service and very unethical.

Scheduled our service and received a phone call the moment the vehicle was ready. They are very informative with vehicles that come in, but use discretion on whether or not to perform other suggested maintenance. Their standards are extremely high when it comes to maintenance, as they should be.

This place is pathetic save yourself the headache and take it to another dealership for service.

Asked the service department for an oil change, warranty work on wiggly brakes and squeaking front windows. Service advisor did not update us on when the car was going to be done or the fact that they couldn’t fix the brakes. I had to call them 30min before closing just for them to tell me they’re keeping the car overnight. When the car was picked up, oil change was not done even though I specially told them to do one, brakes were not fixed after taking it in 2 separate times in the past and only 1 of out the 2 windows were fixed.Overall the worst BMW service department I’ve been to and had zero communication from service advisor.

I visited this dealership back in May 2020 looking for a BMW mid-size SUV. Cole Harmon was the salesperson who helped my husband and I at the time. We found a couple of SUV’s that I fell in love with and test drove 1 of them. After speaking to my husband about what our options were going to look like and deciding to move forward with running credit, we had a poor experience.I’ve had my 2012 Camaro for 8 years now and it was a graduation present so this vehicle was going to be my first actual “purchase” for myself with my husband standing behind me as a “co-signer” since he has vehicle history under his name. After many different options that I presented to Cole, he was just not willing to work with me in getting me in a vehicle. He continually insisted that I HAD to trade in a vehicle in order to be considered when that was not something I was willing to do. I tried as many options as I could with him and he got to the point where he was very rude and unwilling to help me get into a vehicle no matter what route i tried to go on. He tried to tell me that I would have to buy some other kind of low grade vehicle just to show “history” under my name and come back in a few years and try again.THANKFULLY, we took our business to Sewell in Midland, TX and I was approved right away with my husband as a co-signer for a 2020 X3 M series. Even as a first time buyer purchasing a pretty high dollar vehicle as a first purchase, I had the credit & income to show for it, they just did not want to help at all, & well, lost an excellent client! I will NEVER do business with this company again. Pretty disappointed after all of the good things that I heard about them & coming in with high expectations.

Does not honor BMW CPO warranty. Cars under warranty should never be charged a $109 diagnostic fee. Cost for repairs differed from written repair report. HVAC work is not listed in the exclusions list of my signed CPO warranty. Make sure you receive and review repair report before you approve work.

I just purchased a 2020 BMW 530i from Alderson Automotive Group. My salesman was Gary Hays and words cant describe what a pleasure it is to work with Gary on purchasing a car. His knowledge on so many quality vehicles is simply unequaled. This is the 15th car Ive purchased for myself or my family since 2001 when I bought my first BMW 5 series from Gary. I drive alot of miles, so Im always looking for something new or different. Gary has never steered me wrong and Ive not worked with anyone else for a new car since then. As long as hes there I cant imagine purchasing a new or used vehicle from anyone else other than Gary Hays at Alderson.

My vehicle was fixed after engine light was on. The only problem was that I couldnt get a loaner car on Saturday which is the day I am off. It would be easier for me if I could take my vehicle and get a loaner car on Saturday. I did not have this issue in the past. This is my 2nd BMW and have loved the service until my recent experience.

Simple problems require simple solutions - something the Alderson BMW service department doesn’t understand. It’s hard to even call them a ‘service’ department. Feel free to buy your new car here if you can get somebody to notice you. Just know that when it comes to the subsequent service and maintenance of that car, you’re being shortchanged at Alderson. There are far superior BMW service centers that make it more than worth the drive, and if I can recommend, so is their buying experience next door (e.g. the one in Grapevine is mind blowing). Seriously, I could not more highly suggest avoiding Alderson BMW.I want to note that it’s not because this is a small dealership. You can get great customer service right here in Lubbock from way smaller businesses. This is a people problem. The advisors don’t know that when a phone rings, you’re supposed to pick it up. The service manager is doing nothing that resembles service or management. Nobody I’ve ever spoken with knows a single useful fact about any aspect of the BMW brand, not even the names of the cars in some cases. I could go on. It’s truly embarrassing that this is the best luxury vehicle dealer we have in this town because they do as little as possible to represent their brand with dignity and pride. If I could do 0 stars, I would.

I honestly can’t think of a way that Alderson BMW could have made my service experience any more pleasant. I was provided a brand new X3 to use while my X3 was being serviced, a pleasant way to tempt me towards updating my model. My service was performed within the morning, and under warranty. My car was returned to me having been washed and vacuumed. Tim Harmon and his staff are to be commended!

I went there for an alignment service. And I paid around $179. After the service, I checked my car and I realized it is still pulling to the right heavily. Then I explained that problem and a technician checked it and he said it is normal, every car pulls to the right side because of safety. Then I talked with a lady there, she said same thing. I have my DL for 6 years and I used many cars in that time. I owned 2 cars before my BMW and I used a lot of rental cars, my friends’ cars. I didn’t experience any that much alignment problem and service department told me that’s normal pulling. I don’t think that’s normal. I am really disappointed at that service. It is just wasting your time and money.

Tim Harmon and his team were great! We were headed west and our X5 had a warning light and a power reduction, so we headed to Lubbock and Alderson BMW. Scott Bednorz has been very helpful helping us learn the new features. The owners manual is difficult and we have to rely on Scott for help. We are learning SLOWLY. BMW needs to have an English speaking person write a manual that has an index for what we are seeking. I.e. split screen has no mention in the manual. There are many such incidences

I’ve done business with Alderson and others for many years but I’ve found myself always coming back to Alderson because of their variety and the many choices of vehicles. Most importantly, I’ve returned because of the great customer service I receive (being a business owner myself, I know customer service can make or break your business.) Tim Harmon knows his customers by name, always returns calls (promptly) knows I travel 2hours to Lubbock for maintenance on my vehicle and makes a point to get my vehicle out so I don’t travel home after dark. And of course, Tim is always kind, courteous and professional.
