This place is awesome. A pretty decent sized operation, it seems to run really smoothly and quickly. Mitch, the owner, has answered the phone every time Ive called. He is super nice, a clear communicator, and delivers news honestly. The rest of the staff weve talked with are also just really professional. We got there in the morning and all of them had their uniforms clean and pressed! I had contacted several different mechanics about our cars a/c issue and they either had incredibly high charges for just diagnosing the problem, or gave me quotes over the phone without seeing the vehicle. This is the place to take your vehicle!

Mitch is amazing and was super helpful and very honest. My alternator belt and water pump had been replaced this past August and it turned out that I had to get them replaced again. Mitch informed me that it should still be under warranty and even called the other mechanic that had fixed my car prior to get them to send over all the information he needed. As a college student who does not know about cars at all, I would definitely recommend this place. Mitch helped me with my situation to get me the best price and did not take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. I wish there was more than 5 stars!!

I can’t say enough good things about Mitch and his team. I got a quote from a national service chain (Firestone) that was sky high and wouldn’t have even fixed my A/C issue. Took it in on a Friday morning to Mitch and he was quick to give me a call with a solution and had it fixed and ready to go that same day. These folks are professional and excellent at what they do. They have my business on any repairs going forward.

My daughters car was losing battery charge after having had her battery and alternator changed by Williams Brake Tune and Tire for $600+ dollars. She took it to them again and they wanted to charge her $575 to replace the alternator they had installed only 1 yr and 5 months ago. Williams Brake Tune and Tire also told my daughter that the alternator was no longer under warranty. I took the car to Mitch and he found out that the alternator was still under warranty (lifetime warranty) as it had been bought at OReillys Auto Parts. He had the replacement alternator picked up and installed for $150. M&M Tire and Auto are the most honest mechanic shop in town. The last 40 miles rolling into Lubbock our truck was bouncing & Stabilitrac was initializing. I called M & M and Mitch was able to get us in to his shop the very next morning. Within 15 minutes of my arrival that morning, Mitch had diagnosed the problem and had the solution. We are on a very long journey back home to Oregon, and Mitch was a life saver. He proved to be kind, professional & extremely ethical. He even called me a couple hours later to verify that the problem was resolved. Mitch put our safety & security above his own economic interests. It is such reassurance to know that integrity & kindness are still values honored by some. Mitch is definitely one who does. I brought my car to M&M with what I thought was an intake manifold gasket leak. Within a day and a half they had found the real problem and fixed it, and at a fraction of what I expected to pay. This is car repair you can trust.

BEWARE - My daughter is attending TexasTech and Im in Houston. Her A/C went out so had her take the car to M&M. Few hours later I get a call stating that the compressor was shot and went on to say the ENTIRE System (Compressor, Condenser, hoses, etc) needed to be replaced for $1700.I declined and they charged me about $80 for them to have checked it.I had my daughter take it to another shop (Garys Automotive) for a second opinion. Compressor was fine. Had a leaking freon line. Line was replaced and system recharged for $400. All is well, over a month has passed and still cooling.Cant help to think M&M shop was taking advantage of the student situation with parents in another city.

I have used M&M many times. Small mechanical jobs oil changes, tires fixed, check engine lights. I have also used them for major repairs, timing belts, brakes etc. I have yet to bring them a make or model they were not familiar with and could fix. They have yet to be stumped on a repair. Maybe the best thing ever is the fact I have never jag to return because something wasnt right. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I take all my cars there. The man I charge Mitch is honest fair and serves with a smile. I cannot recommend them enough

I was out of town and needed to get on the road. I went to Discount Tire and it was going to take 2 hours and cost $312 for 2 tires. I saw the ratings for M&M so i decided to try them. They rotated my tires and sold me two new tires for $223.Great friendly service, low cost, and fast.Highly recommend!

Their ok, they get the job done and they are professional. One thing I will say for them is that they helped me out when they didnt have to, they didnt benefit monetarily at all. I didnt have a spare tire, they gave me a tire they took off of another car. The tire was barely decent but it saved my ass a few weeks later. That was a cool thing to do and they didnt have to do it.

Took my Jeep elsewhere and was quoted $1818 to repair my front end. Mitch charged me nothing after he noticed my 6 year old had just knocked it 4 wheel drive. That honesty has earned all my business.

I thought I had a slow leak and after looking at the great reviews I took my tire to m&m to get patched. Came back within the next hour and I was told they patched it so I paid the easy 10 bucks and left. The next day however I noticed the same tire was low so I took it back thinking maybe they missed another leak. They agree to look at it again. This time I stayed and watched. The lovely Hispanic man working on it couldnt find the leak and took my tire off the rim to get a better look. While off I asked him if it was a patch already in the tire and he said no which was pretty weird because .. thats what I payed for the previous day. Well come to find out instead of being honest and tell me they couldnt find anything wrong, they just aired up my tire and still charged me for the patch. I asked the manager Mitch who is so great and honest about why I was charged ten bucks for a patch that was never put on my tire. First, he lied then he said he didnt know because it was the previous day (ok?), and he gave attitude trying to play me for boo boo the fool or something until I guess either he knew he was wrong or he knew I wasnt going to leave until I had an explanation. He ended up rudely giving my money back but he really tried to screw me over 10 measly dollars. At the end of the day 10 bucks is 10 bucks, I couldve aired my tire up for one dollar .. myself. Although, It wasnt even about the money. I just wanted him to admit that he charged me 10 bucks for no reason and tried to act like that was okay. I dont know if its because Im young or a minority but unfortunately I didnt get the experience everyone else said they had. Needless to say, Im never going back.

About three weeks ago my check engine light came on and I took my truck to get a diagnostic check. The report had stated that there might’ve been something wrong with the water pump. I took it here and showed them and they told me not to worry about it and sent me on my way. A week later my water pump busted and I was stranded for a good couple hours. So I got it replaced with a different mechanic. I came here today because one of the pulleys is making a noise and we need to get it looked at. My boyfriend was ignored for about a good 20 minutes just to get told that they wouldn’t even look at it until Friday. Overall bad experience. I only came here because of all the good reviews yet I was left extremely disappointed.

Hands down one of the best mechanic shops in Lubbock. They are honest, the owner Mitch and his brother have been in the business for decades they will be up front with you and tell you if something needs to be fixed without up-charging like many other mechanics do (especially the ones on 34th Street in Lubbock run by a Spanish man).

My son just moved to Lubbock and during the cross country drive his car developed a noise. While returning our moving truck I asked about a mechanic and M and M and mitch were recommended. I had found them on the internet the night before. I can not say enough good things about Mitch and his team. WE called them, he said bring it right down. He took the time that he was fairly sure what the this issue was and said it was ok to drive for about a week until he went out of town. He dropped the car off, M and M took him to work, and they called with estimates. $100/less than we initially thought. I feel great knowing that there is someone trustworthy for my son and his vehicle in a new town. I am a first year law student at Tech and I am not from Lubbock, so the only source I had in looking for a reliable mechanic in town was the internet. I was fortunate to have found M&M on the internet. M&M had great reviews from a lot of people so decided to take my car to them. Well, today I got my timing belt and water pump changed from Mitch, who is the owner of M&M, and to my surprise he charged much less than what he quoted me before getting the job done. After the work on my car, he was very kind in explaining and answering questions regarding the job he had done. Today was my first dealing with M&M and I will stick with M&M as long as I am in Lubbock.

Horrible experience. I called the Friday before July 4th and they told me they were closed Monday and Tuesday for the holiday and that they would be busy Wednesday but I could bring my truck in Thursday morning. I got there as they opened Thursday morning and the guy told me that he was short staffed and they couldnt guarantee it would get done that day but if I brought it back the following morning they could take care of it, which I did. Friday at 8 am I drop of my truck as they suggested and I heard nothing all day. At 5:50 pm I get a call saying that they werent able to get to my truck and if I didnt pick it up in the next 20 minutes I would be without it until Monday. I immediately took an uber across town, picked up my truck, and Ill be damned if I bring it back here ever.
