The bagels were great as usual however the staff could use additional training on proper food handling. The young man assisting me with my order didnt initially think he needed to be wearing gloves to handle food and after slicing my bagels put his hands all over the trash can that was located right in front of the bin that the bagels drop into.
Couldnt go in and eat inside, and it took three times to ensure order was correct. Also cost more than normal due to employee ringing it up as add on of egg and bacon instead of just cutting the cheese off the breakfast bagel. Really miss when you could sit down and eat.
This location has steadily gone downhill. Bagel sandwiches are never cut in half, hardly any cream cheese on them, bagels not toasted. I have gone back once a week for four weeks to see if it was just a one time thing or if it was truly off my list of favorites. Its off my list. Sad.
This only applies to the drive-through, I haven’t had a chance to go inside. Service is good, friendly enough, and, most importantly, no errors with my orders over dozens of visits.

Ordered a turkey cheddar bagel and got home to find a sausage egg bagel. Disappointing to not get what you ordered and they were not busy. Waste of money wont be back!
I know your employee saw this before they put cream cheese on this. What makes them think they could serve this to a customer? I couldn’t even eat it because it was so badly burnt. If the employee would’ve just been honest and say they burnt it I wouldn’t be so mad but they tried to be sneaky and serve it to me anyway. Horrible service at this Einstein Bro’s.
Consistency is key in any restaurant and this location just doesnt have it. I eat breakfast here two or three times a week, and while I always order the same thing it never comes out quite the same or even as expected. The coffee is usually bad while the bagel ranges from not cooked to burned. Just a few days ago, I had the best bagel ever and the girl at the window was so nice. Today is a different story. The big guy that works there is generally pretty rude. When I see him working is when my order usually sucks. Today is a good example. Ill let the pictures say the rest.UPDATE: Against my better judgement, I decided to see if anything had changed since my first review. I got home, took a bite of my bagel, and noticed a weird smell. Like hand lotion or cleaning supplies. I spit the bite back out and immediately had to wash my mouth out as all of the saliva seemed to just dissolve away like i had just taken a shot of perfume ridden rubbing alcohol.
Every time we come here they mess up our order from the second we order it because our receipt is always wrong. And even then, we never get what we were charged for anyway. Gave it a few chances because everyone has a bad day, but all their days are bad. Won’t be back.

I went around 11am and the bagel selection was minimal. The employees seemed very rushed and flustered with the drive through. I went inside and felt like I was a nuisance.
30 minute wait just to be told theyre out of nearly everything. With over 3 hours until close, theres no reason to be out of everything. Poor service.
My fiancé and I have been loyal fans of Einstein’s for years now. But since moving to a new neighborhood and going to this location, we have never been satisfied. The store is frequently out of bagels, does not always toast the bagels when asked, puts the bare minimum amount of shmear, and often gets the order completely wrong.We try to be patient during hectic hours first thing in the morning; but when I’m the only customer in line and still getting this amount of inaccuracy in my order, it’s just a lack of “give a shit”.

I LOVE EINSTEIN BROS!! I just wish they were in Amarillo. Every chance I get, I stop by one. This location was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very professional. The store was clean and very well kept. Nice place to eat and relax.
Relaxing interior and comfy seating. Fresh in-store baked goods, nice breakfast sandwich menu with choice of bagel, croissant, etc. Very pleasant staff. Closes @4pm M-F, 3pm on Sat-Sun.Hurry, croissants sell out early.😎
Einstein and Caribou are the absolute best in the Midwest, but apparently not in the South. Southern hospitality is a joke. Couldn’t even order and had to go to Starbucks.
Clean, good atmosphere, but employees were sitting in dining room when I arrived. I ordered a sandwich, hold the onion, & although I was the only customer,they got my order wrong. Also, they handed me my bagel untoasted, without asking me if I wanted it that way. Customer service needs work.
The waiting area could be a lot cleaner just like the bathrooms. The the order responsiveness is quick drive through and dine in. The liquid resources are slow in replenishment.
My husband went to pick up breakfast for us this morning and he had to repeat his order 3 times because the employee wouldn’t listen to what he was saying. (Ex: Ordered bacon egg and cheddar bagel, repeated back sausage egg croissant) Both of our sandwiches were wrong. He even had to show her a picture of what he wanted because she didn’t know what kind of bagels were on these sandwiches. This was our first time eating from this location and we won’t be going back.
They did not have the drink we wanted, so they not only refunded our money, they made us new drinks to try. The bagels were wonderful as always.
Being from NY originally i love a good bagel and they make them right. But they are expensive. 2 bagels and a large oj costs me about the same as a dozen back in NY.
Ordered 5 bagels and paid for cream cheese and had thinnest layer of cream cheese you can think of. Got on to franchise website for survey and receipt had no survey number. How convenient.

They crew was in a staff meeting and ignored us till they were finished. Then they were out of regular bagels, hash browns and chai tea. I usually love Einstein bros but was a little underwhelmed.
I usually have relatively good service here, but today it took forever for the drivethru people to get my order, and they got it wrong. I understand if you were busy, but there was only one guy ahead of me. Dont even get me started on the smoothie they gave me with my order (after forgetting it of course and over charging me). Very very poor customer service.
I love Einstein Bros Bagels! Always quality food and their coffee is fresh. This location is clean, and staff is friendly and service is quick.
So far, so good. Haven’t had a bad bagel & coffee yet. Dining room is study-friendly, but earbuds with music can be your friend. Older community goes to meet regularly in the mornings - nice sense of community.
I had a TERRIBLE experience. I’m on a business trip and went in to get some breakfast before work. I pulled up to the drive through and a lady named Sunshine was helping us and ordered two bagels and two coffees, they messed up one of the bagel and I didn’t mind I just let them know politely so they could fix it and asked them for the receipt because like I said I’m in a business trip and needed the receipt to get refunded by the company I work for. They were taking a little long and now I was running late so I went inside to get my food, mind you, it was a drive through order, and they handed me my bagel and asked me if I wanted a side and I said fruit and the lady proceeded to put ask me what flavor of chips I wanted even though I told her like 5 times I wanted fruit. She then grabbed chips and put them in the bag. The bagel she gave me was cold. Like they didn’t even toast the bread cold as ice, inedible. I gave her $22 because she told me my total was 21.97 and when I asked her for the receipt she gave me two receipts, one for the coffees and one for the bagels and it added up to 18.88 so I told her she gave me I correct change and it took her a good five minutes to figure out the change. I was late to work, still got the wrong bagel and incorrect change after everything. So now I’m sad, my food is cold and I didn’t get my bagel I wanted.

I typically have good experiences here. The staff are nice and seem to do their best to assist their guests.
Service was TERRIBLE. Slow, inattentive service and everything was at least a little off. Coffee was lukewarm, they were not stocked with all the shmear, and didn’t have multiple of the bagels we wanted baked. Finally, I asked for my bagels toasted and they said no, because getting 6 bagels between 3 people is too many for them to toast on a slow day as today.... Truly frustrating with incompetent workers; I will not go back.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I went to get a little gift for my friend, I planned on splitting a dozen with her and I. so I asked for an extra box. They straight up said no. we then said we would pay extra for it, but they said, we can never gift out boxes. From now on Ill never go there. instead Panera bread has great service which I have never been treated as a pest.
Im from out of town. I live 4 1/2 hours away. I stopped at 2:15 p.m. and doors were locked. Very disappointed.

I used to love this place. However, I literally waited and was stuck in the drive through for 24 minutes last time I went. When I finally got to the front of the line my food was still not ready. I lost it, I asked for the manager and after waiting another 3 minutes for her I finally got a refund... Food still wasnt ready. The excuse I was given was because someone called in. Hell, just close the drive thru if you cant handle the traffic.
Under staffed. Drive Thur speaker would be better with 2 cups and a string. Order is wrong often. People seem to work hard, but management is lacking.
The 82nd and Slide location has the rudest most inept employees of any fast food place in Lubbock.
Drive through was way too slow, interior staff created a depressing somber tone that would ruin a dine in experience and they were out of cold brew coffee before 8am... Food was decent though and the place seemed clean.
Hi, Einstein’s off of Slide & 82nd is the worst location ever. It take so long to get what I ordered. Every time I go I have to repeat my order so many time to the employees and then once I order everything is so hectic and it takes like 20 min just to get breakfast! Even the drive through, the drive through is way worse and if you have to be somewhere at a certain time don’t go through the drive through because it takes like 30 min and you won’t make it on time. The whole place is unorganized and needs new management. This diserves 0 stars. However once I get my food after waiting so long it’s always yummy, just damn employees seem to piss everyone off unless you have no where to be and no life and you don’t care about management.
I was just there and it was my very first time since I moved here from California. It was very quiet and we decided to get a bakers dozen. But I noticed they were glaring at me and my daughter who were trying to pick bagels. They then proceeded to give a nasty attitude with a scary face. U also noticed they price was too high for it to be tax. We asked and they then repeated some are extra 60 cents. We asked which ones, which I guess ticked the cashier off. We ignored it but when we got home, the bagels werent even cut. Their attitude disgusts me and u will never go to that store again.

Went to the drive thru, and it was horrible. It took over 20 mins with 2 cars in front of us. I had to repeat my order 4 times, made them repeat it back to me twice, and it was still wrong!! They got nothing right. Bagels were not toasted, cream cheese was not on the side, and the coffee was the wrong flavor!!!! I had not time to go in because it took so long in the drive thru to make it right. Super disappointed, and hard to understand how getting bagels at a bagel shop is so frustrating.

Went in to grab a quiet place to study and some smoothie/hot tea. Within 10 minutes from sitting down, one of the girls working there proceeded to come over and tell us (my friend and I) that we cant stay there without buying something. The store was empty and they were not short of tables, so I found this incredibly rude of her. If she had waited to voice this into an hour of sitting there, then I could understand, but within 10 minutes is just ridiculous. While sitting there, deciding on what I wanted to drink, she proceeded to give us the ojo. We left to hangout in Panera bread for a better atmosphere and nicer employees (and some hot tea). Thank your rude employee for losing two paying customers.
Today they were closing at one. I called and verified. When we showed up at 12:15 they met us at the door and said they were closed. Pretty unprofessional of them.Poor management, Ive complained before but they dont care

Seems to always be under staffed. Employee turnover seems high as well. Every time I eat there there seems to always be a new employee training on the register. Which slows things down significantly and causes you have to repeat your order over and over. And I still do not see how ordering at one register and paying at another is more efficient. The same person that took my order has to walk me to another register so that I can pay for my order. Really?

FYI people. Their bagels are not fresh. The are frozen and taking out the day before for selling the next day Absolutely horrible lies they tell their customers just to sell a bagel.

Drive-thru took 45 minutes and they had run out of everything. Well duh they ran out of stuff after waiting there for almost an hour! Horrible service and the food was not even good. Never going back.

To say i had the worst experience here is an understatement. i went through the drive thru and asked for simple sugar cinnamon bagel warmed with plain cream cheese. super easy order and it was for another person, i am a delivery driver. the woman asked several times if i wanted it toasted, i told her several times, no maam, just warmed. when i got to the window, i was handed the bagel and it was not warm so i told her politely that i asked for warm. she said, but you didnt ask for it warmed... really? okay so she snatched it out of my hand while it was still in my car. the order was fixed and i went on my way. while i thought she was rude, i let it go, everyone has bad days, even in customer service.i delivered the bagel to the house and not 30 seconds after i delivered it, i was leaving the neighborhood and got a call from the customer saying there was no cream cheese on the bagel. i apologized and said i would go right back to einstein bagels and have another one made for her. i found this disturbing because not only had the order been wrong once but on top of that...the cream cheese is half the order.this time i went in with the receipt which said plain shmear on it. i saw the woman who took my order and told her what happened. she immediately said, well that cant be, i made it myself. and i said, well maam that is the case, my customer called me immediatly to tell me that there was no cream cheese. she then said, well one of you is lying. that is correct, an employee directly accused me of lying. i was flabbergasted. i asked to speak to the manager and she tells me, im the general manager. i called my customer who the bagel belonged to and she sent me a photo. the bagel did not have cream cheese on it. seriously nothing, no debate. no mix of interpretation. there was no cream cheese. after showing the woman this, all she said was, wow thats surprising because i made that one myself and it had cream cheese on it. hmm. interesting since it clearly did not. she then proceeded to talk to other employees about it who backed her up. this whole conversation was very heated to the point that other customers could hear this. i became so frustrated that she was discussing this with other employees and refusing to own up to the fact thay she got a simple order wrong and that she should simply honor it by making a new bagel with cream cheese. i mean my goodness, wouldnt that have been a cordial thing to do?! when there is a mistake, fix it. thats all, no big deal. but because the general manager chose to be an unprofessional and rude person, this situation escalated way more than it needed to, and over a bagel!!!!!!needless to say, she eventually made me the new bagel for her customer ten minutes after she fussed me out, called me a liar, and despite the photo, still fought about it.shame on you tanya, the general manager of this store. i will be in touch with corporate tomorrow and im not stopping until this is rectifyed. you are a poor example of a person who should not work in customer service and most certainly should never have been put at a management level.disclaimer: i have the photo and receipt but cannot figure out a way to upload it onto this post.

The customer service in this location is not as good as the one near Marsha Sharp freeway. The bagels are good and the dining area is clean, but the staff could be nicer.
