We didnt really know what we were doing, but Conrad was AWESOME & explained the different coffees & brewing processes, as well as making us some perfect drinks. A friend and I visited the Slide location today, we were welcome by two very friendly gentleman. The latte they suggested and the banana nut waffle were excellent. Over all a wonderful experience! We will be back.

A little challenging to find if you’re from out of town but worth it. It’s in Cactus Alley. If you ask for help picking a drink they’ll give you some great suggestions.

I ordered a mocha. It was perfect. Not too sweet but not acidic either. Perfect balance of chocolate and coffee. Hubs ordered regular bold. He was worried because the guy put 2 sugars in and hes a 1 sugar kind of guy but it turned out amazing. They got a record player going and the music isnt loud at all. Really cool brewers to buy. Its a good thing they dont have a couch in here because I would sit on it and never leave. Outside theres a green area with seating and a pond. Oh and some bakery I need to try.

The only coffee Ill drink black. They put thought into every cup, from bean, to roast, to grind, to brew method, to presentation. Best coffee in town, hands down.

Just found this Gem. I get into town every few Months as we have a fitness center in town. I always look for local coffee establishment and found this one today. The young man was terrific and explained what choice he had made for me and provided a pour over method. The coffee smells incredible and tastes even better. I would highly recommend it. I now have a local coffee shop that I can call my own in Lubbock.

Really good coffee! Theyre lactose free creamer is naturally a little sweet, so the lattes with it are delicious without any added sugar.

Loved this place! The staff were so friendly. When we walked in, it looked like they were assembling bags for party favors for a wedding. They let us try/smell different things, were very knowledgeable when we asked them which coffees were better for different types of preparation, etc. I ended up buying whole beans and also a latte. The latte was delicious, but I havent tried the beans yet. Based on what we tried the though, Im very optimistic!

This is kind of a hidden coffee shop with beautiful outside scenery. The coffee is self grounded by the workers every day. There was only 1 worker when we went and we ordered 5 different coffees. She made them all in 5 minutes and was very well mannered and joked with us allot! She was awesome and had great customer service. The coffee is very unique and tastes amazing. They did seem to have run out of several coffee flavors but maybe it was just a temporary thing. Try this out!

This place is a milestone in the evolution of Lubbock’s coffee scene. It’s a small menu in a small space, but the coffee quality is top-notch. They do pour-overs, any standard espresso drink, and will take custom requests if you know what you like. Some drinks, like a cortado (my go-to), are served on a little wooden branded platter, with a small cup of seltzer, a golden spoon, and a little cookie. It’s a very nice experience—although most coffee shops here provide a good experience, Gold Stripe seems to have the edge on this point. Decent prices, nice courtyard outside.

I absolutely loved this place. Not only is the food delicious and well priced, it is a good place to study and relax in a beautiful room with an older feel. They even have records playing to go along with the perfection that is Gold Stripe.Rest assured, I’ll be back.

This coffee shop is a must stop when I’m in Lubbock. The coffee is excellent, made even better by the kindness of the staff. It’s clear these brothers are filling two passions - coffee and people. Had the pleasure of meeting their mother and it’s clear why they’re such great owners.

I have been following these guys for a long time and the coffee they put out continues to get better and better in ways you wouldnt think possible. They catered our wedding and did an amazing job, people were literally speaking about how legit the coffee bar was and asking where they could get some. The owners are kind and caring and are passionate about coffee and connecting people, that in itself makes me glad to be part of the Gold Stripe community. I thoroughly enjoy their coffee beans and always have a bag on hand, they definitely compete with aware winning coffee roasters from around the U.S.

Went for the first time today while visiting family and helped myself to a womelet and a cortado. The expansive menu was overwhelming at first, but then I was eager to discover the combinations that might work best for me.Great service on taking and delivering the order. Ill definitely visit again while Im in town.

I appreciate that drinking their coffee and discussing their products is always a learning experience as well as delicious. They had good coffee. However the barista seemed like she didn’t really know what was going on. She was surprised when we ordered something off the special of the day menu, then hadn’t tried enough on the menu to give us a recommendation. Furthermore they stop serving waffles at some unpublished time because it is apparently too much trouble to clean the single waffle iron again.It was a chill spot with a good atmosphere, but also looked like they had just opened. Would go back to give it another try.

When Im traveling through a town for only a day or two, Ive got two goals: Roasteries and Breweries. No disrespect to Lubbock but I did not expect to find as absolutely delicious of an option as Gold Stripe! The coffee was so unbelievably fresh, roasted to such perfection. I would love that anywhere but the fact that it was from a locally owned and operated business made it all the better. One of the owners, Zane, was on the bar, jamming some Al Jarreau and slinging some amazing coffee. Couldnt have asked for more! ♥️☕♥️

Best coffee(Cortado) Ive ever had!

A hudden jem in Lubbock. Highly recommended. Tried the espresso. It comes on a gorgeous engraved wooden board complemented with a palate cleansing bubbly water. Drinking it between sips of the espresso makes each sip feel like the first one. Also tried an Oat Milk latte- 🔥. Excellent. Not sweet. Most lattes are sweet, this one was wholesome - absolutely amazing. Hambela organic coffee was awesome: it has apricot, dark chocolate, and raspberry. The banco gotete coffee I tried had citrus, floral, jasmine tea-like flavor. I preferred the Hambela over the Banco. The shop is one of 2 locations. Large open space. Nice for an afternoon coffee or a study sesh.
