I love ❤️ this diner! It’s the only genuine diner left in NJ! They have the most delicious meals, chicken sandwiches, burgers, salads and coffee ever! Low key, 👍 prices, staff is very accommodating and courteous! Can’t wait for them to reopen..I’ve passed by like 10xs already hoping to see them cooking again. Hopefully soon! Haven’t been here yet? Lyndhurst Dinner, more like a home cooked meal with family you love. You cant go wrong with their everyday specials and unique coffee. Great spot when hunger strikes! On Sundays they serve cream of turkey soup - absolutely wonderful. In the area, look no further. Happy eatings! 😀
I eat in this spot a lot since I work close by. I got to say the customer service is always good and they keep the spot neat at all times. Prices are affordable and they serve generous portions.
The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Has a nice atmosphere. Kid friendly. The menu is very diversified. Easy to get to. The food was top notch. One of the best bacon cheeseburger Ive had in a long time.
Stopped in and had spaghetti and meatballs came with open with salad bar. And they have a liquor license so you can have an nice cold with the meal I enjoyed. Prices food and service were good.
Hello! This diner surprised me! I got a California burger with onions on it along with a side of fries. Well let me tell you it was one of the better burgers I had from any diner. My wife went with a buffalo chicken wrap which was also to her liking. I won’t hesitate to come back.
The breakfast was DELISH! Eggs cooked to a perfect over easy, potatoes flavorful but not salty! The waitress Tara....A-MA-ZING! Irene is fabulous and knows her customers. Very refreshing to feel like youre family and just stopping by for chat and coffee. Its my going back to again.....and again!
Below average diner food, there is nothing you will get here that you cant get better somewhere else. Decor is old and outdated, food is very bland. Theres noting about this place that would make you want to come here as opposed to another one of the many diners in the area.

The waiter became extremely aggressive when one of my friends asked a simple question. The same waiter asked if we were ready to order multiple times it felt like we were being rushed.He was condescending with us when we asked nicely to split the check.
No service no acknowledgement for more than 5 minutes. Not even a greeting of any kind! Truly I was not even welcome by the greader. It sucked!! Will not recommend to any of my friends and family
It is not the greatest Diner in the area, but it is quite tasty! The burgers are delicious. The rice pudding is also delicious. I personally am not a fan of thick-cut steak fries so the fries arent my thing but everyone else seems to love them. I had several sandwiches and several breakfast items and everything was really good. I dont think Ive ever had a bad meal here. I would recommend anyone/everyone to eat here. Staff is also friendly. Prices are decent.

I ate at this Lyndhurst Diner and I had the worst experience when it came to the quality of the food. The food was prepared very poorly. The waitress was good but not the quality of food which was beyond her control and is something that should be addressed and taken seriously by management. I called for two days straight and each time someone answered the phone they would tell me that I would have to talk to Eileen. The last time I called the individual stated that he would be able to help but after telling him the complaint he stated that him nor Eileen (Head Manager of the Restaurant) would be able to do anything about it. Hes talking about this is the first time they have heard anything about their food. I guess it is because you all only want to hear what you want to hear and dont believe your food is nasty! I have never been told that management wouldnt be able do make a paying customer satisfied. That is the most rude and inconsiderate statement that I have heard from management. That is crazy that management are not taking heed to the reviews by the customers. I have read several comments on Yelp and Google after the fact stating that food was not good and the manager (Eileen) always find a way to respond in a way in which they do not take any kind of blame. From the responses on the reviews by management and the rudeness I experienced from the individual who took my complaints, it seems as if management does not care about their customers. At the end of the day, I just hope that the restaurant management would live up to the the values on those old fashioned paper mats and not kill trees and waste paper on supposedly values that they obviously dont even believe. I hope this review will help someone else before going here. They do not deserve business if they are not going to serve food of good quality. I wouldnt even serve my dog this food neither a human being! It is really that bad. If you are not use to good food, maybe this would do for you but if you want a decent meal, do not visit this restaurant even if its your last resort. You are better off going to a gas station!! This restaurant should be closed down. At the end of the day, you all will see how they will once again not take the blame or find a way to push the blame on someone else. All I have to say about restaurants or people with hearts like that is you will reap what you sow. What you serve to others is what you will eventually get back. Thats the value they should have on those silly paper mats!
Very nice and polite staff that are quick and happy to get you anything you need. The food is good and the prices match how much youre getting. I do wish they had more combos, like chicken fingers and fries. Right now you have to buy both separately which is a little pricey for chicken fingers and fries

Need to find a competent cook. Fried fish was very undercooked. Burger ordered well done came medium RARE. Manhattan clam chowder was tasteless and only a few small bits of clam. Will not be going back.

I didnt like eating dinner here. The baked potato was hard & not hot enough to melt the butter. The green beans was not steamed, it was soaked with water. The filet of fish with crab meat had a strong fish odor. I like this place only to eat breakfast.

Good place to eat, we had a friendly waiter, just wasnt crazy about the location of the salad bar, its right by the entrance, people are around it even though theyre not getting any salad, so I was a little apprehensive because anyone could just pick at it with their fingers, but the selection looked pretty good. the cause of the food was pretty reasonable and they do serve alcoholic beverages.

Went to the Lyndhurst diner this afternoon and was treated very rudely. Since that gentleman passed away the host and hostess at mud-day Sunday, November 3rd, 2019, were very rude. The hostess telling us loudly we would have wait for the host because she was very busy. All that was asked was ‘Is there sign-in sheet or we have to wait to be seated?’ Then the host told us to wait in the vestibule because it was to crowded by register. So we moved only be passed up for someone else who got there after us to be seated. As you can see the key is ‘RUDE!’ This is not out first time at this diner but the first time being treated like cheap animals.

Great food and stays open late. The staff were awesome! We arrived around 12am and they were really nice, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, the food was really good and they even sang happy birthday for our friend!

Typical NJ Diner food. Ordered pancakes and eggs. No real Maple Syrup as stated on menu. One of my pet peeves... Pancakes are not pancakes without real Maple Syrup. Dont these restaurants know how bad corn syrup is for you? Can you say Diabetes for everyone? Anyway, waitress was very nice...brought me some honey packets and I was happy.

First time here, horrible customer service and the manager was rude. we were a large group and asked about a bill split and the waitress said we were allowed to split it individually so when we reached the register the sweet cashier was being nice and the manager was rude and disrespectful speaking in Italian which we all understood. very disappointed will not return! now i understand why the place was empty. also food was not that great

While it is a staple of the area, I am bored of the menu and the overcooked eggs. I prefer a bit more quality even if less quantity. You get a lot for your money, and I wouldnt kick their burger and disco fries out of bed....but breakfast is just average.
