Omg my hair stylist was extremely awesome. She made me look & feel like Queen. They definitely have me as a new customer.

For starters my appointment was for 1:30pm I came in on time but they had me wait a whole hour after my original appointment time smdh very poor customer service.!!! Horrible horrible horrible wig install ! They didn’t bleach the knots nor pluck the baby hairs on the wig either . The stylist didn’t even know how to do a simple baby hair swoop ! Smdh also there webpage says $50 for an instal but the stylist over charged me $20 !!! Totaling $70 for a horrible unprofessional job! I’m very disappointed I will not be coming back ever !!!! I literally took the wig off when I got home and will be going to a different salon that’s how unsatisfied I am with the service. DO NOT GO THERE TO GET A WIG INSTALL YOULL BE HIGHLY DISPLEASED!

I had an appointment at 3PM with Gina. Then they texted me asking if I could come at 3:30 Bc she was running late. I said yes that’s fine! An extra 30 minutes wouldn’t hurt. So I started heading there at 2:30PM, then got a message saying no actually let’s do 5PM. I was upset but needed my hair done so I stayed in the area bc going back home was too much. I went in the salon at 5PM and she still wasn’t ready. She then told me to come back at 7PM. At that point I just gave up, didn’t even want to argue about it. I just knew I was never going back.This isn’t the first time this happened to me, they’re always running late to get into work or they booked more than one client at a time. Extremely Unprofessional.

So this place was recommended by a friend. I called and made an appointment. I was late few mins and called her to let her know i ll be there but the way she responded was so rude, its my first time going there, i expect her to at least probably try to offer me a later time or say if anyone cancel she ll give me a call. But she just said point blank dont come. Sounded so rude. I am a hairstylist myself and i dont treat my clients that way.

After relocating from SC to MA a year ago, I was concerned about many things... I had NO how I was going to be able to find a new hairstylist. I did a LOT of online searches when I stumbled upon Joans shop. I called and after having a lengthy conversation with her, I decided to give her a try. To this day, I still go to her and have NOT regretted my decision. Joan is a blessing to me and provides EXCELLENT hair care services. I only go to her every 5 weeks or so, but Im never disappointed. If you are looking for a kind, caring, skilled hairstylist, Joan is DEFINITELY my recommendation! : ) Youll leave her shop with Happy Hair!!! 😊

This has always been a good salon but there is one new person that is legit terrible and most rude. They never worked there before so I guess she is new. Wears make up most of the time.

The Best dreatlocks in the North Shorw

This was my first time choosing Joans and I was extremely impressed. The atmosphere was nice, modern and extremely clean. I felt like I was getting my hair done in a high end salon which I find rare because most nice saloons in my area only cater to Asian or Caucasian hair. Being of African American decent it is extremely hard to find a place with that does an excellent job with freindly staff, clean, great atmosphere and does not smell like over processed hair. Definately going back.

Wonderful group of women that really take the time to treat you like family lovely little shop great atmosphere beautiful ladies treated me like a king Ill be going back again for my hair too get braided again.

First time visiting this shop for a sew-in and the experience was okay. Communication wasn’t great at all. I wanted a swoop bang due to my bad weak edges but that wasn’t communicated to stylist once she arrived. She just did it and said is it full enough? (No curling or styling of it for $160?) Make sure you wash your hair or you’ll also be charge for that. Even though I wasn’t satisfied with how my front closure looked it wasn’t that bad and I just left because I had to work.

TERRIBLE!!! If I could give 1 star I would. Went less than a month ago for a sew in. Didnt even get the ladies name or I wouldve said it. They were rude and kept saying it smelled like burnt hair while I was getting my hair straightened. Like, obviously this IS a salon. So once she did my sew in (which was my first time) I noticed it was sticking out in the top but didnt pay mind to it because I was in a rush. Tipped her fairly good, at that. Few weeks later, Im home and someone who does my hair is STRUGGLING to take the hair out because she sewed my braids with so much string together. Did a terrible job!! She left me TWO huge knots in my hair filled with string that I will have to cut now and a bald spot in the front of my head where I noticed the track sticking out since the first day and will be left with short hair! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. She was in a rush and didnt care much about having me lose my beautiful hair!!! Mind you, I heard this was a protective style and I did it because I am pregnant & didnt want to deal with my hair anymore. So much for that!

One of my very close friends was recommend her by a friend. Shes a natural 4a/4b they treated her like she was an outcast. They made her feel like her hair was too much to work with. Instead of taking their time with this process, they damaged majority of her hair. Its now two weeks later and her still smells like heat. Even after washing it theres little to no shrinkage. I do not recommend this place to any naturals. She now has to chop off 3-4 inches due to this . Please take better care of your customers they are paying for this !

Please dont go here, i recently went there to get my hair blown out. i left with extreme heat damage and breakage. 2 weeks later i washed my hair and it was falling out!!!4 years of hair growth ruined and i had to cut my 6 inches of my hair. waste of $50 and the customer service is atrocious
