Will not be back to this office. Ordered contacts July 8th and still do not have on 23rd. When I finally got someone at office they said they havent even been sent yet. They said it would only take 5-6 days. Dr was good.

Love Dr. Simmons. If he wasnt there, I would never walk in the door again. Front office staff and eyeglass staff are rude and not helpful. Been going there for years and have seen a steady decline. So sad!!!

The eye doctor was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. However, getting eyeglasses for my son has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in getting glasses. The staff knows nothing, is not proactive at all, most can’t answer a simple question of “where are my kids glasses” and when they tell you they’ll order them the next day, what they really mean is 7-10 business days. It only took 5 weeks to get glasses that were supposed to take one week. While waiting on the incompetence of myeyedr to fully bloom, we went to eye mart express in Columbus and got frames and lenses the same day. Now that was a great experience. Save yourself the hassle and just drive to see them. It will be worth your time. Myeyedr in Macon is good only for getting the prescription and then going just about anywhere else to get it filled.STAY AWAY FROM GETTING GLASSES HERE!!! You will regret it if you decide to use them!

My appointment was on 21st of April everything went great Dr .was great took time to explain everything that was going on . Everyone was very professional and was a big help when picking out frames for my glasses now the problem is I was told i would have my glasses within the wk . well this wensday will be 3 wks and i still have not recreved them i call they say its gonna be next wk called back then the other person tells me 4 wks it doesnt take a month for glasses to be made i pd 355.00 for them i would like for someone to explain why i am getting the run around

I put this in the survey from my appointment, but it wouldnt go through so I decided to pot it here:Our first visit was our eye exam which was fine. Dr. Simmons is a great eye doctor that we have used for years. Even the ordering of our glasses was fine. The problem was when we returned to pick up our glasses. Our first visit we wore our mask like we do at business and doctor offices where they are required, and no one had a problem with it. But when we went back we were forced to change our mask to a less than adequate mask. I mean it didnt even meet the N95 specifications. We buy mask that fit our face, which makes sense so that everyone is protected. Since the mask we were being forced to wear didnt fit my face, I was going to put my own mask on top. I was told if I wore my mask I would have to leave the primacy in a very rude manner. For the life of me, I can NOT comprehend why your company is forcing people to change their mask when they enter the building. Mask are in short supply in some parts of the country. Yet your company policy is to force everyone to change their mask even for a 5 minute appointment! I mean you have to be in front of someone who has been in close contact with a person for more than 15 minutes to even be notified by the trace contact group. Not only does this not make since, but it is also very costly to your company which explains the extremely high rates of your products. I have never been asked to change my mask for a less than adequate mask at any other business since Covid entered the world. Maybe your company needs to do more research on rather or not mask wearing is so beneficial that you are willing to waste that much money on people who come in doing the right thing by wearing a mask. If someone doesnt have on a mask then I understand the purpose of giving them one. But for someone already wearing a mask that is the most dumb, most stupid, and most ridiculous thing I have EVER HEARD OF!!!!!!

First, let me just make it clear that I have been going to MyEyeDr. all of my life. I have never been to a different eye doctor. I had an appointment scheduled at 8AM, and I was 11 minutes late. They told me the cut off time was 10 minutes late. For those who are thinking I should not have been late, that is true, but life happens. I had made accommodations for my kids, so that I could go to the appt. My boyfriend works night shift, and was supposed to get off at 7AM. He was supposed to come home and keep the kids, but unfortunately he did not get off on time because his relief was late. At the last minute, I had to get my kids dressed and speed to my appt, but they wouldn’t see me.They booked me out over a month for my appointment, which I never understood, and told me their next available appt was in May (over a month wait again). My mom and sister goes to other eye doctors, that are way more popular, that book you in a week or two. My sister goes to America’s Best and my mom goes to Brown’s Eye Center. I just scheduled an appt with Vision Works.Lastly, I work in the medical field. I am a ultrasound technologist. Patients are late everyday. They ask me if I’m okay with it, and I always say yes, no matter how busy my schedule is. I just had a patient, on Friday, who’s appointment was at 11AM and he showed up at 2PM. I still scanned him, because he said he had a flat tire. I’m a contractor, so I work at different places on different days, and everywhere I work allows people to be seen if they are late. I’m just aggravated and I won’t be going back.

If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would!My appointment was at 4pm. I was running late and walked in at 4:11pm. I was told I had to reschedule because they have a 10 minute window. They refused to see me over 1 minute. How absurd. I understand that should have been on time; however, patients should not be turned away over 1 minute! Right now, as im sitting in the parking lot writing this review is 4:13pm. This is just ridicoulous.

I have always been pleased with this practice. They see myself as well as my 4 children. Young kids are not always the easiest to fit for frames but their optical department does awesome.

Have been with Primary Eyecare for years and stayed with them when they were bought out by My Eye Dr. When it was Primary Eyecare, the service & prices were amazing. But now that it is My Eye Dr., the prices are doubled and the customer service is terrible. Have had so so many very poor interactions & issues with insurance coverage, appointment scheduling, ordering contacts, and payment. They are also not very helpful with these issues.However, the doctors themselves are amazing! Dr. Murphy is great & have had great experiences with the doctors.MyEyeDr. itself is the issue, not the doctors.

We are in LOVE! Over the past 6+ years, we (my children and I) have had very negative experiences with other optometrists and ophthalmologists. We saw Dr. Murphy here and he immediately made us feel comfortable. Hes absolutely amazing! Then, we saw Barbie in the eyewear department. My 13-year-old daughter makes shopping for frames a painful experience, but with Barbies excitement in helping her choose her best look and enthusiastically-helpful heart, we found frames AND actually enjoyed the process! These people are blessings!

Crooks!!went here because they are open saturday and they take my insurance. so he chose his glasses we paid over 100 dollar plus insurance covered 200 dollars. glasses have broken 3 times, luckily we bought the protection plan but now they say the have replaced them and that is all the protection plan covers.spent 300 dollars and he hasn’t had his glasses in broken a month!! just crazy that a buisness can steal from me and i can’t do anything
