I work 6 days a week, 10 hour days. Doesn’t leave a lot of time for a regular pace of life. THANK GOODNESS Ulta offers salon services past the 9-5 standard business hours!!! Made an appointment at 6pm on a Friday night with Misty at Ulta Macon & had a wonderful experience. Got my hair washed & trimmed up and was outta there in an hour. I even had a few minutes to look around & pick up some some things. Highly recommend. GO SEE MISTY.
So Saturday August 14 around 2pm, I visited Ulta and had excellent customer service from an associate with turquoise hair and pretty solid help from the Clinique associate. Didn’t catch the name but they were super helpful.Another associate not so much. Seemed like I was more of a burden when I requested assistance hence the 4 stars. Overall solid experience Thanks lovely person with the cool hair!
I literally had the best experience & help! Emma was literally the best!! I also had help from another young lady who helped me with my skin products! I would definitely come back they were the BEST!
You would really expect this location to have exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, that isnt the case. I love Ulta because it carries all of my favorite brands and its convient to where I live, but if Im honest Id rather spend the extra money to drive to the Warner Robins store, PRIMARILY because of the staff. They truly act like your presence is a burden to them and they are oblivious to what products they are selling. For example, I was in this past week and I walked around to fnd an associate. When I finally encountered Susie and asked for a recommendaton she was less than enthusiastic to guide me. Not only did she recommend a product that was the exact opposite of what I was looking for she also recommended a product that was FOUR shades lighter than my skin tone. I do hope that this issue gets resolved.
Im disappointed everytime I go in there, but your store has the best products. Im not happy with the staff. Staff chews and smacks their gum. Theyre rude and not very helpful or personable. Also, Im sure so much makeup has been wasted and thrown away in the last year since products cannot be tested. Heres an idea. Get those perfume test strips, let employees be the only ones to handle the testers and have them put whatever color foundation on the test strip for the customer. Maybe if they werent too busy talking and goofing off, chewing their gum maybe someone would have thought about this.
I sadly agree with the other reviews. I visited this store twice recently and was extremely disappointed with the rude and unhelpful staff and particularly the rude check out staff. They threw my purchases upside down in a bag and dropped several items which I had to remind them to pick up before I left. Absolutely no idea of what customer service means. They were always great until now. Management needs to address this immediately as I now will just go on line to order so you have lost yet another customer, permanently.
Lord have mercy the employees in the Macon, GA store are rude. I encountered a minimum of 5 ladies while I was in there and 1 of the 5 was helpful and polite. The rest had major attitudes. Set my items down and walked out after the 4th rude response. Online ordering only for me from now on....Wow!!! Just went back and read the other reviews. Glad Im not the only one that felt like they were treated rudely. Seems to be the norm for this location. Sounds like the management needs to be swapped up big time! Come on Ulta, why no change????
I have gone to this location a couple of times, and normally would agree that the staff have been underwhelming, bordering on rude. However, I have to believe that management is taking the reviews to heart.Today, I went with my two young children to purchase my favorite Revolution foundation. The floor was missing my color, so I asked the cashier (I believe her name is Wesley?) if there was a chance it was elsewhere in the store. She quickly went to the back, found my product, and brought it to me. I was so relieved! And she was so kind and engaging with me and my children. While I was waiting for her to find my product, another staff member approached me and asked if I was being helped. I’m glad the staff is feeling more kindly toward their customers. It was a noticeable and appreciated change! Thank you for the great service and for having F7 in stock!
The store is well stocked with merchandise. It is very easy to maneuver with a wheelchair throughout the store. They have a beauty salon here as well. I gave only 3 stars because the last few times I have been here they only seem to speak to the younger ladies .They need to learn that us oldest ladies are the ones with the money to buy the merchandise. There is plenty of parking at this location.
The only reason I am giving one star is because the customer service..When you ask for help on the lower end side of the store you are met with I dont go over there or I only stay on this side of the store. (The higher end of the store.) I shouldnt feel forced to buy products from one side of the store because the employees are only knowledgeable on products that are going to generate higher sales for the store. All employees should be knowledgeable in all areas of the store. Do better Ulta!
From past experiences at this store years ago, I avoided going to this location at all costs. Today I was in a bind and needed to purchase some products for a client...unfortunately this was the closest Ulta to me. At the time of my online pickup order I didn’t realize customers were allowed in the store. I was told I could come in to pick up my order and that was the absolute worst mistake I’ve made in awhile! As soon as I go in I am greeted by two friendly associates. Once I get to the register, a petite dirty blonde with poorly installed clip-in extensions rolls her eyes and asks my name on the order, but acts like she isn’t interested in assisting me pick up my order so one of the other friendly staff members finds my order and gives it to me. I guess she was unhappy because I interrupted her standing at the register without a mask on twirling her hair and drinking water....who knows? I was completely turned off by her entire representation of Ulta Beauty. This store needs to be more selective of who they hire! I will continue ordering online or visiting the Warner Robins location, but I WILL NEVER step foot in this specific store again!
Got the stuff my wife wanted
I felt racially profiled at this location. Today I arrived a few minutes before they closed to pick up some Birthday makeup. I was not allowed in the store and I was told they were at capacity to find out later there was only two women in the store. My friend who was meeting me there and a caucasian woman who walked in a few minutes before me. I knew actually what I wanted and I planned to run in and out. The manager stopped me at the door with the story of being at capacity. Truly hurt my feelings I felt she had a nice-nasty attitude.
Got my hair done at this location last minute on Black Friday and had the most pleasant experience at the salon! Stylist was very knowledgeable and also did a great job balancing helping customers that would come by with questions.
I buy a product that I thought would be great for me at this particular store. Turns out it wasnt, so I return it and asked for refund and they cant give me a cash refund so they said theyll send the money back to my card in a few business days..... Its been weeks and nothing! I call them to see what happened and they tell me to check with my bank, so I check the bank and theyve never received anything from ulta in regards to my refund. So Ulta, you can keep my hard earned $40 and I hope you have loyal shoppers that stick with you, because I refuse to ever shop at such a unprofessional place again
I went here because they were listed as a Deva certified salon, and I was specifically looking for a Deva cut. I asked for this when I made my appointment and clarified what I was looking for when I arrived. The stylist barely even spoke and made no effort in easing my fears or talking me through the process. She snipped my hair, took my hair back to wash, then “combed” out my hair and literally diffused my hair up right for less than a minute. Then she informed me that once my hair dries I will see the curl bounce back. I was literally staring and drawing a blank as to why this person pretends to be Deva certified. I walked out with soaking wet hair even after she supposedly diffused. I came home and had to style my own hair after spending $80 on some snips. I noticed my hair is extremely choppy which is hard to notice on curly hair but it is evident on mine. I will never go back again and now have to spend more money to get this horrid experience corrected. I cannot believe Deva has this place listed to carry their reputation.
How can you not love Ulta? It has most of the beauty brands we all adore, beauty and hair stylists, DIY spa necessities, with a very knowledgeable and, more importantly, honest staff. Great sales and deals daily/weekly, so if you havent, get on that mailing list STAT! Honestly, I could spend hours walking around checking out all the latest products or sampling my favorite brands. If you dont have an Ulta in your area, need a wider drugstore selection or desperately must upgrade your beauty collection, you definitely need to come here. Its worth the trip. 😉
I absolutely love this store!! So much so that Ive become a platinum rewards member! I had to give Ulta 2 stars because when you walk in and ask for any assistance on the more affordable side NO ONE is willing to assist you! Ive gone into this store about 4 times in the past 2 months and when Ive asked for assistance I get a look of almost disgust! It makes you feel a bit cheap and not deserving of any assistance and that is a huge disappointment!! The staff has to focus on the entire store not just high end brands!
This location in Macon is the absolute worst. Their customer service is horrible. They are rude and never have enough staff. The Warner Robins location is way better as far as customer service
I like the $3.50 coupon and clearance specials. When Urban Decay has an event I love to attend. It is also helpful when they have the gift with purchases especially during the holidays. The fragrance selection is fair, and the beauty tools and nail colors surpass your average pharmacy or local retailer.
I sometimes drive to the Warner Robins location for a better experience. This place is just fine, but the staff need increased customer service training. It also seems like the selection of products is lacking compared to other locations.
I love this store because it sales makeup. However the 21 days of beauty was going on and the staff didnt seem to know about the sales going on. I bought 3 items that were on sale that day and wasnt told they were on sale. I later went home and seen the were on sale and was not given discounted price. Best advice I can give is look for sales and ask for them at register because unlike most store they will not tell you and will charge you full price unless you tell them.
Not a good experience at all. I havent been in Ulta before. I selected items to purchase and proceeded to the cashier. There was no line, but there was one female at the counter. I waited and then, began to wonder if I was in the right line. I asked one of the workers if i was in the right place. She motioned to the opposite end stating that the line comes from the other side. I moved to the other side, which was strange. The cashier motioned for another person next who was standing where I started. I approached the counter to let the cashier know happened so that she could take care of me next. She acted as if she did not know what was going on, even though i am certain that she saw me standing in both places patiently waiting. I asked another person if ahe could assist me, but she began assisting someone else.Mindful service recovery would have definitely changed the course of this encounter. I had to purchase my items from another store.
This is by far the worst Ulta I have ever been to. The store was never fully stocked; makes you wonder if management understands inventory. Not only were the shelves not stocked, but they would be wrecked at 10 am when the store opened. It was very obvious the staff had no pride in making their store look nice. I would frequently ask if products were available in the back, and staff quickly said no. They typically did not know what products I was referring to, but implied I didnt know what I was talking about. Overall, I was never impressed with the store or the staff on the multiple occasions I went in.
This store is a beauty destination. It carries low end as well as high end cosmetics. The store is brightly lit. The high end cosmetics usually have testers available that are clean. The associated are usually helpful. This location also offers salon services.
Ive read a few reviews and the gals do laugh and talk together a lot...they should spend less time doing that and more working...my stylist Rene Ive been with for going on 4 years here and shes PERFECT for any hair type! Ive watched her do white gal hair black gal hair old gal hair young gal hair! 😆 shes great, professional, kind, and takes care of ALL your needs. Customers sometimes come and ask her about product on the floor and she goes right over and help them...no attitude! If you need nice professionally done hair see her! She cuts guys too!
Sasha was amazing!! She color matched me and made sure I liked the foundation! I’ve been to many Ultas and never received service like I did here! I don’t live in Macon but I will definitely be coming to this location from now on :)
I love going to this place the employees are always nice, but the cashiers do seem to rush you out of the store sometimes.

Just wanted to acknowledge the amazing staff and protective customer care rendered by them at your store. Today, December 24, 2015 there was a sudden tornado warning for the immediate region. Throughout the entire store cell phones were alerting the shoppers of the urgent weather alert. The staff immediately directed all shopping patrons to safety to the back of the store out of potential harms way with calm and professionalism. We were in great capable hands. Thank you each and everyone. Human kindness rocks!! As a side bar. Once the all clear was given and exiting the store there was overheard sidewalk conversation that the staff at the neighboring Belk store were not as attentive/caring to the safety of their customers. It was stated by many that customers were asked to leave to find safety elsewhere.
I love shopping at Ulta online so I thought the store would be great. Disappointed to say that I wasn’t impressed. I wasn’t happy with prices nor the unhelpful staff. I will go back and try again though!
Sometimes the staff are very snotty... Acting as if they are better than others & showing attention only to those whom they ASSUME are carrying a fatter wallet. Customer service skills are in desperate need of attention.

The store is fully stocked. Good luck getting any help. The floor staff does not want to provide help. When I asked for help by a guy cleaning makeup brushes he was to preoccupied with his cleaning to help.
Great place to buy name brand cosmetics, hair dryers and any other hair products and all makeup items.
Don’t believe the bday gift gimmick. They will offer you a great bday gift to get you into store and when you get there say that they are out of that product. And try to offer you something else that you wouldn’t want. They got me 2yrs in a row.
Not my favorite Ulta...no competent sales associates...dirty floors...ransacked shelves...unusually low inventory or out of many items...many boxes opened and makeup tainted by fingerprints...testers were past their prime...just overall BAD STORE...worst I have ever been to...other Ulta stores I have been to are much better. Wil not go back to this store...EVER

This is a special place. Very girly, meaning bright, shiny and sparkly. First time but will definitely will come back. Staff was upbeat and jazzy
O bought some product for my hair and i didnt like it,i tried to return the almost totally full product a few months later and they wouldnt, i didnt want a refund just wanted to try something else,they wouldnt, so i left the product there and told them i wouldnt be back!!!
Ms.Bree Ad, I know this lady very well shes actually almost 65 and handicapped. She has no cartilage in her knees and has had multiple knee replacements. Shes worked her butt off for almost 50 years and is one of the best hair stylist you can find with more years experience then youve probably lived.
Horrible customer service.Go here if you want to be completely ignored while associates have loud, immature personal conversations on the sales floor and at the cash wrap while customers wander around on their own. Only saw people being assisted if they went up to someone and asked for help. I usually go to the one in Warner Robins and will continue to do so. Chose to hang my bag back up and leave without spending any money.
Any kind of make up that you can imagine is sold there at a very reasonable price.
I love their stylist. They take time to talk to you and find out what you want. I like the fact you can do a walk in, however, they would like appointments. The prices are fair.

Brides beware!! And really everyone else should be too. I made an appointment for my sister to have her make up done on her wedding day. When I called they couldn’t make the appointment any earlier than 11:00 but that was fine because we had to be at the church at 12:00 and it wasn’t far from the store. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told that the person that would be doing my sister’s make up hadn’t gotten there yet and would be there shortly. My first thought was “why did you make an appointment for 11:00 if the person doesn’t get there until 11:00?”. The makeup artist didn’t get there until about 5 or 10 minutes AFTER 11:00. My sister got in the chair at 11:15 and I had already gone over to the Clinique counter to ask if she would do her make up. The Clinique lady told us that all make up like that had to go through the salon. So I asked for the manager. The manager and makeup artist told me to calm down and everything would work out. She hadn’t even gotten any supplies together but felt it was necessary to tell me she was supposed to come in at 10:30 and wasn’t feeling well so she came in at 11:00. Not my fault. The salon should have scheduled it with someone else or called us!!! We ended up walking out because of the horrible service. No one EVER apologized to us or tried to make my sister, the Bride, feel better! Never shopping here again!!!!!
Took a full hour for Katie to get to me. I literally just needed a simple pixie cut too. She overbooked and overestimated her skill. I wouldnt recommend ULTA for hair needs.took her an hour to get to me After I booked an appointment
Barely greeted. The huddle of workers were laughing and talking amongst themselves. As I was clearly searching for a certain product, a worker walked straight to the back room not even attempting to help. Supporting businesses who are not customer service oriented are becoming a thing of my past. I will shop elsewhere, I dont want to ruin their day of chatter.
Love the store but the shelves are usually empty and messy. Theres never enough employees so you have to wait forever to check out and when you do they shove new products down your throat.

I went to ulta on 2/9/19 and I was greeted by the lady at the better than sex mascara booth. I walked away searching overly used tester like they never changed them. (plus Im on crutches). The Anastasia brow pencils and palmate was sooooo dried out. Then someone from the salon area ask how boyfriend and I was doing . I said, “ fine, but can I get a makeup wipe or something to get these swatches off my hand.” She came back with foam hand sanitizer and Kleenex and at first I didn’t know that it was hand sanitizer until it didn’t come off . So I walked around for about 5-10 more minutes than I was ready to leave. But once again, I asked another employee for a makeup wipe . She said she would be right back but instead she send someone else with JUST KLEENEX. Like they work in ULTA and they deal with makeup . Like what a stupid kleenex going to do about removing makeup . Absolutely nothing. So I look at the guy and said can I get some makeup remove so I can get the makeup off my hand. He look confused for a second than ask the remove from the better than sex mascara booth. Like why don’t ulta have a makeup remove and applicator stations like Sephora . It don’t make no sense at all. The employees need to be more hands on with customers and help instead waiting for the customer to asking the employees for help.Ulta makes too much money to have their store looking like 🤢🤮 Disgust. Do better for your customers.

So, just had the worst experience shopping that I have ever had in my 37 years of living at this Ulta location. I took my family to this store 20 minutes ago to purchase several different items. While standing in the mens haircare section looking for product for my sons hair, I see a female employee walk past us and look our direction. I didnt pay any mind to it.Well after we selected the item we wanted, we moved on to the facecare section to again select some other items to purchase. A few minutes later, the same employee that walked passed us previously, approaches us with 3 containers of j crew hairstyling products and says I SAW your son put something in his hair and I went back and found these with finger prints in them. She goes on to say that she needed to know which one he used so that she can remove it from the shelf. I tell her that my son was standing beside me the whole time and did not put anything in his hair. I told her to look at his hair and she can see that there is nothing in his hair. She then started backing off of what she just accused us of doing and told us thank you for being honest. Basically she realized that she did not see what she thought she did.So the hand full of stuff that we had, I promptly sat it down and told her that she can have it. I then instructed my oldest daughter to put the $150 plus stuff she had back as well and we were leaving. As we were walking to the front of the store, I turn around and see her in the salon area laughing with another co-worker. Now I cant say that she was laughing at us, but I can tell you it pissed me off.So, I go to the front counter and ask to speak with the manager. Well look who shows up, her. She immediately says Im the manager. I tell her that I dont want to talk to her and I request her bosses name and number. She then asks me if she could speak with me off to the side. I walk over with her and she begins having a panicked voice and starts shaking and starts apologizing and states that she went about it the wrong way. I tell her that it was all fun and games when she was in the back laughing about it at which point she apologized for that. Which confirmed that she was indeed laughing at us. I then pointed out the fact that the 3 items she accused my 8 year old son of using were not even items we picked up. I then pointed out the fact that while she was standing there accusing us of using products, the white lady that was standing directly beside us was actively rubbing makeup that was not a tester on her wrist and she said nothing to her. She replied by apologizing to me again and said she would have to go find the product that the lady was using. I then pointed the lady out to her and said go ask her, shes right there. Of course she didnt.I again asked her for her bosses contact information. She proceeded to tell me that she couldnt give me that information. So I get her name which is SYDNEY and the store number. I tell her that I will handle it with corporate office. Now, she was super panicked and crying by this point. Now, I felt bad about the crying. It was not my intention to make anyone cry. However, I dont think the crying was because she was truly sorry for what happened. I believe she was crying because she knew she is about to get in trouble.With all that being said, I will be contacting Ultas corporate office tomorrow Monday August 6th. I will be requesting that the in store video be pulled since we were in front of one when my son supposedly put something in his hair. Once, they see that it didnt happen, I will be requesting that she either gets demoted or receives some type of training.In a nutshell, STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! If anyone else has experienced this type behavior at this store or any other ULTA store please share!!

Baffled the manager comes to other businesses desprate for employees I work at the wax strip and she came in today asking us to apply very unprofessional and rude. And when confronted would not give any information on her supervisors! This used to be my favorite store to purchase makeup from. But now I will not be going to this ulta anymore!!

The service cost $21 plus tax. I dont believe that the service is worth this amount. Its a regular wax, likeyou would get at a nail or hair salon. My eyebrows have no arch or shape, just took the stray hairs off.

The people here are not very friendly when my daughter and I go into make a purchase or just look around. Instead we walk up to Dillard’s and buy her Clinique products there.Sometimes they are okay.But most of the time they are not very friendly.
Feel like I know more than the staff. This location is better than most as far as customer service goes. The makeup artist are pretty bad though. I walked in with natural looking makeup and wanted matched for a foundation and the lady proceeded to put it on top of my current foundation even though I told I had a layer on already. She said it was fine. I walked outside and I looked dark and yellow and cakey. So glad I dint buy it. I alwaya order online since the location is 45mins from me and I always have trouble returning stuff. Most time it says its been returned ? I have to make sure I have all my reciepts because apparently they cant pull info from my account. I had to show the. emails of the online orders.
All of my experiences at Ulta where one of their employees besides a cashier is involved have been mediocre at best.Ms. Patti at the hair salon is the most stuck up lady Ive ever met in my life. She gave me hardly noticeable blonde highlights when I specifically asked for ombre. I figured that a salon that only uses Redken products would be professional enough to accommodate this request, but they werent. Also, Ive never in my life met a hairstylist that sat on a stool the entire time she cuts and dyes your hair.Now, today I called in because I wanted to schedule an appointment for my free birthday brows since a Benefit customer service rep informed me you must make an appointment on your birthday. Well, I was on hold for a draining 15 minutes listening to the most awful current Christmas songs. I doubt that anyone would have come back to pick up my call except to drop it to make room for news ones. Im going to cross my fingers tomorrow and hope that they dont turn me away.And now just a generalization of the store:Almost all of the girls who work here will congregate and laugh and joke without even acknowledging that customers exist. I dont want a pushy saleswoman, but I also dont want one who completely ignores me.Almost every time I go to Ulta there is a problem with the cash registers. I dont know why, but there is always some older woman with a scowl trying to fix it and making the cashiers feel like its their fault. As a customer, I dont know what really happens every time a register breaks down but when they do you feel really bad for the girls up front.This has been a pretty negative review, but let me close with saying that I still want to (and do) shop here, but I usually go straight in and straight out.
