You know a market is good when you tire never of revisiting, chatting up the same cashiers, and picking up some littleneck clams and vino for a supper after the beach. Skip your local market. The quality here is a surprising unpretentious change from the norm. I still dont understand its name but no matter...manners and kindness do seem oddly vintage nowadays.Thank youuuuu

Better off going to the Walmart grocery store. Vintage has rude staff members and it feels dirty in the store itself. Disappointment for Malibu locals like myself.

Beautiful market! Right across from the Pacific Ocean. Fresh healthy options and ready food To Go. Beautiful meat display, Bakery, produce department, cafe, icecream and drinks to go.

For a grocery store in a high profile area, the quality of customer service is poor. The food is great, everything seems fresh. Buuut-No matter what time of day you go, busy or not, the deli section takes its time. Slowest deli and they frequently make errors with orders. I have to double check my custom sandwiches because sometimes theyll add something I didnt want or remove something I was trying to add. May as well go to the Ralphs.The juice bar is OK. There could be 2 people there but youll usually just be helped by 1 as the other is being a chatty cathy on the side to people who arent even picking up a beverage.The cashiers are such a toss up when dealing with them. Some are nice! But the majority let their prejudice show. Its like, if youre a POC, you are not really welcome here. They assume everyone is a house staff person as if thats a bad thing?? Would hate to see how I would be treated if I did come in a uniform. If youre privileged, then you wont notice the difference in attitude and can shop stressfree- but step in warily if youre a POC.

This store is just awesome!!! Plenty of items to choose from. Hungry??Choose from hot and cold sandwiches, ready to eat items, deserts where so delicious... Its a must stop if around the area.

Best grocery store in CA, hands down. I cant say enough about all the little details that make this place special ... The home made food bar, bakery, juice bar and truly local products and fruits.. did I mention they want you to try dragon fruit? So much pretty sustainability going on as well..the wooden decor, reusable refillable glass water jugs.. forget Erewhon..this is authentic soul food thats good for you and supports your neighborhood. I wish they would replace all whole foods and erewhon with this model.

Neat little market right on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. Right across from the beach, they have a nice selection of products and a coffee bar. They proudly serve Groundwork Coffee Roasters coffee.

Nice place to fill your cooler up before you hit the beach. Pizza slices are pretty good too.

Loved the milkshakes they made for me on the fly, wish they had the homemade IceCream pits still for the cookies n’ cream and salted caramel, best combo ever being able to go to vintage instead of Café de La Plague for milkshakes and food

A great small specialty grocery store. Cross between Gelsons and Whole foods. A wonderful selection of fresh fruit & vegetables. The meats and sea food selection are very fresh and beautiful to look at. Desserts are to die for. Best selection of everything!!

Gorgeous set up, all labels including international food and wine is available. Very busy because of the location. Nice patrons, friendly staff and the bakery is amazing. But the store is not for bargain hunters. Happy shopping!

Way over priced even for a beach location. Staff was also not very nice in there. Not worth it at all. But they got you due to location. Honestly seen cheaper / better in Airport options (where they really have you locked with no other options) that was less expensive and better service

Literally my favorite grocery store in LA area, I come here every time Im in Malibu to pick up a to-go meal and snacks to bring out wherever Im heading. Wonderful kind staff and good pickings!

1st time in store (2/21/21)... good vibe, clean store, helpful employees. Went there to get foods to have while relaxing at the beach (plenty of deli foods to choose feom). And regular grocery shopping, if needed.

Family went shopping today .I was half through when two employeesapproached me and claimed my face shield wasn’t enough and that I needed two masks.We immediately stopped shopping and looked at the signs posted at this store. It said face covering only.. This is getting ridiculous!I called the manager to return my call andI never got a call just like I won’t be shopping here again!!I do not need to overpay for groceries here and deal with the employees mask power trip too!!

Filled to capacity on this Sunday evening of a summer holiday weekend during a record heatwave -- but the line outside and wait time were still totally tolerable. Of course its air conditioned inside. ✔️ This proud little store always has my back when I need something while waiting for the bus at Trancas & PCH.

Great snacking and lunch selection if you are constantly on the go.Luke was very kind and helpful!I enjoy that each staff member is genuinely happy to be there. It’s a positive environment here.I highly recommend stopping by here if you ever take a cruise or have a beach day here in PCH.

Food and groceries are the best... good quality but if youre rich you can give it a try... nah!... not for me... its too expensive most of it!

Love this store I consider my visits there a treat I find items in the store I cant get anywhere else everything is fresh. The store is very clean the selection is amazing, I always walk out of there with so many extra things that I really dont need but Im always happy that I did indulge because everything is so yummy! The cashiers are very nice and helpful.

Very well appointed local market with lots of organic options. Think mini Whole Foods with none of the attitude. I love this place.

Cant talk about the produce but the pre-made bowls are a joke. 3 tiny pieces of tofu and 2 slices of mushroom over a bed of a quarter cup of brown rice for 8 dollars. The brownie was like a cheap chocolate cake. 100% cool guys store with little substance to offer. Sad, the peaches look great though.

Nice place, one of a couple places in the area. Felt like I got the rush act in the deli section. Spent over 70. Could have been a little friendlier.

I feel I just have been robbed!!! The prices are outrageous, do yourself a favor and install the Walmart or Ralphs (Kroger) app and scan the products to compare prices, ... I dont mind paying extra for premium products but absolutely not reasonable to pay the double for a simple Kraft salad dressing or anything else available in mass at the big chain grocers... This is a very interesting supermarket. Its not very big and you may very well see people that you recognize although they may be without their makeup and their significant other and you really might not recognize a famous person pushing a shopping cart. Prices are expensive but the quality is excellent. Produce is beautiful and you will pay for it. If youre planning a very special dinner like a special birthday or something else this is a good place to come for special needs or particular cut of meat that you might like. There are also good choices in ready-made desserts and Artisan cheeses.

I found this place today after being in Malibu for over the last year! I stopped by the bank and went into another establishment for lunch and decided to change my mind. That was when while walking to my car I noticed Vintage Grocers.I walked in and boy am I glad that I did. They have so many fresh, farm to table options as well as some of the best lunch items you can buy at a reasonable rate/price in comparison to other places in Malibu.I ended up ordering the Godfather Panini and some Maine Lobster Bisque soup. Both were absolutely delicious and I am definitely stopping by here more frequently for my lunch.Additionally, they sell some of the prettiest succulents I have seen for only about 10$ each. Great for hanging in the house or placing in as a center piece.The staff here were wonderful, greeting and helpful with finding everything I needed and wanted. Looking forward to the next meal and future plants to add to my collection!

Love Vintage Grocers! The selection and freshness of the produce in particular is unsurpassed!Friendly people and great atmosphere but know the we locals tend to stay away on weekends when out of towners take over.The only reason for no 5th star is their prices are across the board higher than most other places but its convenient location helps those of us on the north end of the PCH.

While shopping here with my friend, she tried to use EBT to check out. not taking EBT is fair, but the clerk at checkout was lacking in compassion, saying “is that what i think it is?”, and further referring to her EBT card in a tone that felt patronizing. No one should be made to feel ashamed when being vulnerable attempting to use EBT at a grocery store, especially when she is only on EBT because a global pandemic left her jobless... i hope Vintage Grocers doesn’t usually make customers feel this way

Everything was a bit pricey but it is the only market miles around. They have fresh deli and organic items, but again, you would be paying double the normal prices.

Great shop. The store is very visually appealing and tidy and the staff in every part of the store are always happy to assist you. I usually stop by their hot table to grab a quick bite and they’re always serving delicious, healthy meals.

I love this market! It is so good and vey reasonably priced. I especially like their hot bar and their deli. The staff overtime I went was very nice and helpful. They have all varieties of foods here and they are so fresh. I recommend their trip tip and their orange chicken. Their sandwiches are also amazing and they come with a side and a pickle!

The line to get to the store was managed inefficiently . The manager Lilian was extremely rude to me, letting people cut in. the line & making people in the line wait for over 30 min . What a sorry management !!!!!!!

Clean, nice staff, and great food to grab and go for a quick dinner run. My grandparents especially love the orange chicken and rice! You might actually find some celebrities walk in here on occasions. I actually met Lady Gaga in here once!!!

Great spot! Lots of health food options, organic produce and a deli. The team there was super friendly each time I went in and the store has a great feel to it. I highly recommend it if youre in the area.

The stuff is expensive but I highly recommend going to the deli where they make sandwiches they are big and make you full. Very tasty sandwiches

Spotted this grocery as I was looking for a decent snack on my way back to the valley. I cam say I enjoy the experience and atmosphere, plus customer service was quick as well.

I was really disappointed their sandwiches.. I don’t usually write any reviews and this is the first time for me to leave negative ones. I mean.. who eats those quality and pay each $9!! Are you kidding me?!?! Of course they should taste good right?? Is this some kinda joking? Why I was starving sooo much and those weren’t taste good?!?!I probably expected too much by nice atmosphere getting them but seriously tho.. Please!! I want them to taste their food BEFORE selling especially ham and weird cheese or prosciutto with mozzarella. Those were absolutely no flavor no taste..why...how could that happened with $10 sandwiches...even the boy who served the food I felt bad impression with no welcome no engagement. No wonder! He doesn’t even know how to heat it up the sandwiches right. I’m shocked!!

Local community market that doesnt care about helping the people in the actual community because they will deny people on assistance for food. Lacks empathy and caring for people who do not meet its Financial standards. People should never be denied a chance for food and the fact that this place has no problems with an attitude to deny people basic food because of their financial status or receiving Financial assistance should not be a barrier to have food in someones stomach it is very disgraceful that this type of business and business owner are allowed to operate

Visited this wonderful market back in 1979 while ending my boogie boarding session at Zuma beach. Went inside to purchase fruit and supplies to make sandwices. Low and behold Gary Busey pushing a shopping cart crunching down on a granny smith apple. Great memories shopping there.

Loved the location (it overlooks the Pacific) & is well stocked. Orange chicken from the fresh food station was excellent.
