This is one of the best places Ive been to while visiting my mother here in Kansas. Ruth was so helpful with helping me find what I needed and she was very nice when she answered my questions. The prices are decent and the quality of the supplies is great. Ill definitely be coming back.

Great locally owned art store. Very well stocked for professional artists, college students, budding artists, and kids. The owner is super knowledgeable and shares her wealth of experience freely.

Fantastic place, helpful and friendly. Great selection.Unfortunately this place will be closed by the end of the month thanks to Gov. Kelly and her mishandling of the COVID situation.So for the time remaining everything is 50 percent off. What a gem this little locally owned art store is! It has a plethora of art supplies...far too many to list. I bought some amazing Christmas gifts for my artistic son and the prices were extremely reasonable. You really need to visit the store to understand how neat of a place it is!

Incredibly helpful staff. Great selection and always willing to order if you need something... and prices are absolutely competitive or lower than the big box stores. If youre an artist, support this local business!

Many folks have trusted Ruth for their fine art and architecture material needs for over 25 years. Managing stores for several major art supply providers her knowledge is vast and her commitment is strong. It is only logical that she own her own store. What a blessing to the art students and the artist community for miles around.

Had a few things we needed...Quick & easy but still needed to grab some staple items online because they were out.

This is the only real art store in Manhattan. Hobby Lobby is owned by right wing christians and so many artists choose to shop here, as it is a truly locally owned business. It supplies many of K-states Art department student class supplies and holds many archival methods storage options as well as 100% cotton and lignin free papers. They have fun kids kits too. They would probably order something you use a lot. Sometimes they even carry black and white 120mm film! We are lucky to have this store after Varneys closed, which was a great unique store (now it just touts K-state gear and does not have many surprises or unique items anymore). Another great store for unique :arty: items is ACME, which also has arty gifts, cards and great flowers.
