I was very impressed with the service I received from this Firestone location! I had them replace 2 front tires. They were quick and kept in touch with me throughout the process which I really appreciated. I will definetly be back for other things that may need to be done to my car.

I used to exclusively go to Firestone, but I havent returned in over a year since the last time I went in to replace a tire that had popped. I was pressured into buying two new tires. I realize you are supposed to buy two at a time but I was hard up for cash at the time and I just needed a tire on there so I could get to work. I was then demeaned for buying a low grade tire because it was all I could afford. The mechanic responsible then proceeded to put a directional tire on my car the incorrect way which caused the handling to mess up and wear down the tread on my remaining three Kumo tires. The next time I came in a new manager from Junction had moved into the store. He was super nice, but useless. He informed me of the issue with the tire but neglected to mention the affects it had, had on my other tires. His fix was to offer me a free rotation (which was never performed) and then inform me I needed 3 new tires. Leading me to believe that my nice Kumho tires had only lasted for less less 30,000 miles. Yeah. Okay. Kumho tires are rated for 80,000. Great service. And I know that guy put my tire on wrong on purpose because I was short with him after his attitude about the tires I had selected. I remember his smug look as I was leaving the shop and wondering what it was about. Now I know.

If I could give less stars I would. Birds of same feather flock together, the brand of worst mechanics in Midwest are here. They think cars are complicated machines quoted by the front desk when they messed up my wheel speed sensor while changing wheel bearing. Just to do an oil change they took the car for 2 days and the list goes on. Please be smart and don’t go there

On a week-long road trip across 5 states and about 850 miles in it was clear I could NOT deal with the vibrations from at least one wheel/tire on my Hertz rental car that needed attention.I was directed to Firestone by Hertz as they are their national service account. I rolled in around 4pm and although this location was busy and short-staffed, they assured me they could/would take care of me. Due to the short staffing and cars that needed complete before the day was out, manager Sheldon headed out to the shop and lead his team by example and jumped in.Needless to say his effort and work ethic was NOT overlooked by me. The car was out the door and rolling vibration-free by 6:15.If you are in Manhatten, KS I HIGHLY suggest this team!

I have paid for a lifetime balance, rotate, and alignment in multiple cars over multiple years, but will be trying a different Firestone from here on out. I just watched the tech rotate my tires without balancing them. Confirmed with the gal up front that Im getting a balance, she said yes. The wheels were removed, rotated, remounted no balance... needless to say go somewhere else.On top of that, got in my car and theres dirt on the door and door sill...

Went back because there mechanic forgot to put my oil cap back on and had oil all over the engine and left front wheel well. Was suppose to have them check oil level, clean the oil off of engine and do a 21 point safety inspection to make sure no damage was done due to their negligence. Appointment at 1300 and was done at 1330.....they checked oil level and washed down the oil.....could have done that at home. No 21 point inspection to check for any other damage.Dont waste you time going here, overpriced services and lazy mechanics. Oil change costs 90 bucks...do it yourself for cheaper.

Had a wheel bearing go out on Friday night in Manhattan, KS. on a car trip. Was standing outside the store at 7am when they opened and they were short handed and every bay was full. Gave my story to Sheldon and he immediately put it on the rack, test-drove it, diagnosed it and had me back on the road by 9:30am. Hard to beat that kind of service!!!

If you are seeking to be spoken down to, disrespected and not receive timely service, then this is the place for you. Look no further. Sheldon the store manager will exceed expectations in this area. I am not certain why anyone would return to this business in the future. Sheldon did not display strength in problem resolution and critical thinking skills. Following the discussion of my concerns, he was unable to offer alternatives such as scheduling a future appointment or genuinely show value in gaining new business. He allowed his emotions to rule his behavior and focused on displaying his dominance. He lacks the will and skill to grow the business. I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change today 7/10/21 at 11:00am. I arrived 5 minutes before time and was checked in. Following 15 minutes of waiting, I checked the parking lot and my car was still parked in the same spot. I proceeded to ask the staff member why my vehicle has not been serviced. She then informed me they need an hour and a half prior to beginning the appointment. I provided feedback and informed her it is important for her to inform new customers the wait time is significant and avoid wasting their time. Her response was to tell me if I cannot wait by all means she will provide me my keys. I accepted them and left. I called later and spoke to a store manager named Sheldon. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He claimed I was informed of the appointment expectation when I arrived at the counter. He provided a condescending apology and marketed websites such as Yelp and Facebook and he welcomed me to leave a negative review. I was frankly shocked that Sheldon takes pride in encouraging customers to tarnish the company the name of the company that employs him. I have just read some reviews where Sheldon has been rude and unprofessional to other customers. The owner must maintain the same attitude to accept this behavior judging from the natural response of claiming this is not in the normal. I visited Yelp as recommended by manager Sheldon and there were concerning reviews on the quality of work including a review regarding potential damage that may have been caused to an engine due to negligence. Thank you for directing me to websites to provide clarity of poor workmanship. Future customers, please consider other areas in Manhattan for quality service. If disrespect is what you are looking for, Firestone will be the place.

This Firestone is horrible! I got tires put on here and it took them around three hours to put them on. They explained to me that one of my tps (or whatever it’s called was damaged by them and they were fixing it). A few days later my service tire light came on, so I took it back to Firestone to have them check my tires. A guy claimed that one of my sensors is out and I would have to pay for the sensor, but they’ll waive the labor. The sensor they said that was bad was the same one they supposedly fixed because they damaged it. I spoke to the Supervisor there and he claimed that they didn’t even have to mess with the sensor, so if it went out it was just bad. I tried to explain to him that the person up front already admitted that they damaged the tps sensor and obviously they didn’t fix it correctly. He still didn’t admit to there mistake. I took it to another place and they told me that they didn’t program the new tps so that is why the light won’t go off. It took them less than 15 minutes to program the tps and my light is off!!! I will never go to Firestone again! I should have learned my lesson a few years ago when I went to them to have a car fixed and we still having the same issues to this day!!

The office workers here are so kind and helpful. Every time I go in to pick up or drop off my car it is very quick. They charged me $20 to get a screw out of my tire, which I would say is a more than fair price.

Waited a hour and a half then I finally saw them take the car in and I watched while they made small talk around the car. While there, there were 4 customers waiting on them. I love how they are smart enough to use tools and fix cars but don’t understand how a mask works(some came past the glass in to the waiting room with customers wearing the mask under their nose) I get that they are on the other side of the glass but they are still all over and in my car.would never give them my business again. Not a safe place to be during COVID.too bad I have to give them 1 star to leave a review (came in at 10 (yes it was scheduled) to have 2 tires replaced. it’s is now 12:15 I am now leaving after having to ask for my keys, got tired of looking at my parked car for 20 minutes)

Do not take your car here unless you have an immense amount of time on your hands. I’m sure the garage guys do a good job but it seems way over booked all the time. Had an appointment for an oil change at 1040 one day and my car didn’t get taken into the shop until 1215. What is the point of making an appointment if it takes 1.5 hours to get it in. Had to have a flat tire fixed another time and both times I called, at 2pm and again at 530pm, they said they were getting ready to repair it and it would be done by 630. Showed up at 630 to see them finally take my car into the bay. Something needs fixed about scheduling or efficiency. If you don’t have time to get my car in; don’t waste my time.

I have road hazard with Firestone and I was in a location where I ended up with a flat tire. I ended up having to get it repaired by different business since no Firestone was located near me. Once I returned home they kindly refunded me what I paid for the tire at other location with no hassle. I would highly recommend Firestone in Manhattan great service and assistance very pleased.

I’m only giving 4 stars because of the Firestone credit card company that’s used. I needed repairs done and the charges to be placed on my moms card. I have friends who do this every time they visit by simply giving a pin code. That apparently wasn’t an option for me. My mother had to add me to the account as an authorized user and then we were told I’d be able to get me car that day. Even after the manager asked to clarify if I could get my car same day with the employee, they turned around and said it was a 24-48 hour wait. Well, they gave us the run around and my car sat at the shop for 3 days. All repairs completed but we were waiting on the company to process my mother’s application for me. All praise to Sheldon, the manager, for helping us throughout this crazy mess! He called the credit card company multiple times for us, was misinformed by them on how long the application process would take to go through, and. seemed to know more than the credit card company employees. A frustrating time for both parties but he stayed professional and helpful. Glad I’m at least added for the future and won’t remain without a car for days on end!

Couldnt even make it through a phone call for a quote. Didnt listen to me at all. Talked about the wrong vehicle model i had to correct him several times. And then i was hung up on. I have the part number and everything and you still didnt know what car we were discussing after being told. After that conversation i lost all confidence of anybody at this shop touching my car. I called to schedule an oil change, on the phone they were helpful and got me on the books. I took my car in today and was told it would be 1.5 hours- no big deal. Then later I get a call saying my oil change is done but my rear tire has a gash in it. I spoke to Sheldon, I was asking questions such as “ does it need immediate attention now or can I wait”. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. In previous service with them, they always be great so I’m super disappointed in this service. I will not be going back!

Find literally any other place in Manhattan to go. One time I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and it took over 1.5 hours. Another time they offered to rotate my tires and messed up the balance/weight. I had to go to another tire shop and pay for them to fix it. My tires now have irregular wear.

I needed a new tire put on a rim at 5:30 pm with no one working in the bays . I could see 3 persons sitting around in the tire bays. They close at 6:00 pm so they told me to come back tomorrow instead of selling me a tire and mounting it on the rim I brought in. I would say they do not want my business nor do they care about my money. By the way I am from out of town and now I have to come back to Manhattan tomorrow to get a tire but not from Firestone. I would not go to this place and recommend you do not either. Their service is the worst and they do not want the money.

Wonderful experience! Our camper blew a tire on I 70 after waiting at Walmart for a tire for over an hour they tell us they cant give us an estimated timeline. We left, came here and although they were busy they got us in and out in 15 minutes! Highly recommend.

After numerous visits, my car has consistently been available for pick up 2+ hours after my preferred pick up time. Today’s visit, I had dropped my car off over night because my scheduled appointment was at 7 am, and when I called at noon (my preferred pick up time) they hadn’t even started on my car. The keys had gotten stuck in the overnight bin. Understandable — but there was no follow up with their 7 am appointment. They did not try to make it up with a discount or coupon. There have been other times that I will check off numerous services and only half of them are completed after my 2+ hour delay.

They did a more comprehensive and thorough assessment of my vehicle. I wish I went to this Firestone first instead of the other franchise who didnt catch everything, or wasnt honest with me about how much all of the work was going to cost and I opted to repair the car instead of selling it.Both places were very expensive, and none of the work performed was warranty covered, but I suppose that is par for the course. Overall I am quite satisfied with this Firestone and their customer service. I just wish that I didnt spend so much money on a broken car to find out that Ill need to buy another car anyway.

Were done going here, we have been since 2013. The new manager is rude and has no idea what she is talking about. She knows nothing about the business she works for. We have tires bought from here and wanted to make sure they were rotated on our car. She had no clue what we were talking about. They lied and told us they got rotated, they didnt. They also were supposed to check our fluids and fill them, they didnt do that either. I wont continue to get lied to by this store.

Had an appointment for an alignment at 10 am. Waited in the busy lobby for it to be done and finally got up to ask at 11:52 am if it was done. They hadn’t even started on it! They quickly realized they had forgot about it and brought it in immediately. Still had to wait another hour for the alignment. Definitely don’t go here unless you plan on leaving the vehicle there all day and have a ride to pick you up.

Very upset with how they treated me. I made an apt for my car to have oil change and tires rotated. Left work little early so I could have my car there by apt time left it there all afternoon. Asked me when I need it by I said 5. I get there little after five to only find out they hadn’t even done my oil change or anything at all. All the lady could say was sorry. Beware! I had another bad experience today. Several times, I have left vehicles to be worked in for oil changes. I have had to wait all day on multiple occasions for work to be completed. At least once, the work was still not finished by the end of the day. My boss complained after my last visit and received a free oil change. This time, I asked for the free oil change and to rotate the tires. I was told it would be done by 1:00. They called about 2:00 and asked if I wanted an air filter. I said I would wait and was told it would be another 15 min. When I got there and looked at the the tires I noticed they had not rotated the tires because I had marked them. I went back in and told one of the clerks. The rep went into the shop and asked the tech if he rotated the tires. The tech insisted he had, in fact, rotated the tires. I showed the clerk the pictures I had taken to prove it, and he went out and checked my story. It is hard to argue with pictures. So I waited another 45 minutes or so to get the tires rotated. Its unfortunate you cant trust folks to do the right thing but that is a lesson I hope to share with everyone. All companies know time is money but they need to learn that their patrons time is valuable as well.

Did a wheel alignment on my Jeep ate a set of tires in less that 1500 miles take it back they said it’s out of alignment. But the alignment was done 13 months ago so they would not fix their mistake told me the vehicle from sitting came out of alignment this is news to me considering I have multiple vehicles that haven’t been aligned for years and they are just fine. Highly do not recommend them the wait time is Ridiculous have an appointment at 10 Jeep didn’t go in shop till after 11. Just to hear they want to charge me full price again. I did not have them do it considering they didn’t do it right the first time. And they need more Knowledgeable staff asked her to explain how it got out of alignment had no clue couldn’t not explain it. Very disappointed and what a complete waste of a day and money

Will Never take my vehicle here again. Over the years they have charged me for services that probably did not need attention until months later. Tried giving benefit of the doubt and just bought tires. Recent experience where they charged my daughter to rotate tires on tires that were purchased from them. Then I ask shouldnt these 2 tires go on the back and the response was yes generally the answer is yes they should! I told them that when appointment was made in person, but my daughter (18) picked up vehicle whom has no idea so Firestone takes advantage! Terrible management!

Ive taken my vehicle to this location several times, but after the latest experience, I wont be going back. I took my car on a Friday and was told it would be ready Saturday. On Saturday, I hadnt heard anything, so I called only to be told they had broken the replacement part needed for my door, and had to order a new one. I was told I could pick it up on Sunday. However, when I went to pick it up on Sunday, I was told they couldnt get it fixed, but I could still drive it - IF I WAS WILLING TO CRAWL IN THROUGH THE TRUNK OF MY OWN VEHICLE. Monday - still not ready. Its now Tuesday (A full 4 days after I was told I could pick up my car) and its still not ready. I would not receive any updates if I wasnt the one to call and ask what was going on. This store is terrible at communicating, and apparently terrible at fixing cars.

I took my van in for a new tire and turns out I needed two. They were able to get me a good deal and so I went ahead and replaced both. I had asked that the tire they took off the front be put back as a spare as I had changed the tire and the current spare had a hole in it. I looked the next day and found not only did they not mount the spare under my van they also left the bad tire on the spare. I called and it took a week of calling for them to figure out they could not find the tire they had taken off my van. I was very happy as they then put a brand new tire on my spare so I ended up on the better side. I only marked 4 stars though because this would have all been avoided if they had done what I asked. Overall I would say that they are good but you should check their work before you leave.

I read some of these reviews and noticed that they didn’t have the best reviews and against my better judgement decided to still go here and try it. All I needed was a tire pressure check on my tires not that hard. I walk in and am greeted by a waiting room filled with people. None of them seem to be enjoying their experience. I talked to the lady working the front desk and said I was there for a free tire pressure check. She told me to pull my car in front of the first bay and wait for someone to come help me. I waited there for 30 mins until a mechanic comes to my window and asks me to move my car so they can get the car they just finished working on out. At this point I was livid. I moved my car so the other customer could get out of there ASAP. Then finally I got my tire pressure checked on all four tires which didn’t even take 2 minutes. Afterwards he told me to next time let the person in the front know I’m here for a pressure check so you won’t have to wait as long. Not satisfied at all. Avoid this place at all costs, if they can’t do something simple what makes you think they can fix your car.

Called and talked to one of there reps about getting a tire balanced that I bought from there store the guy said drop it off well have it done in a couple of hours so I go there and talked to a different rep. Told her what i was doing. Dropping the tire off to get it balanced and I would pick it up later. Took her 5 min to find my acct and was acting like it was a bother for her to do it and very snooty. After she found the right invoice she just printed off the invoice handed it to me and said we will get it done by 4 oclock tommorrow put the tire in the first bay,goodbye. Very rude. A pothole ate my tire at 1AM. I was at Firestone when they opened at 8AM Sunday morning. I was hoping the tire could be saved because most places dont have my tires in stock. The tire was done for, but the store had the tire I needed in stock. I was out in an hour and on time to work for my next shift in Topeka. I was treated well and with respect. Ill go back.

I discovered that I ran over a thick bolt from construction on my way home from work around 5pm. I called Firestone as I had purchased my tires and road hazard protection from them. The store associate informed me he was busy and I could drop my car off and leave it overnight to fix sometime tomorrow or schedule an appointment for Wednesday. I informed him I did not have other transportation means to leave my vehicle and that I was confident if I waited my tire would be flat and not able to drive. He apologized and reiterated no availability today. I left and went to another place down that street that closed in 5min and they understood the severity and told me to come in and they gladly helped me get it fixed! I dont think I will continue doing business with Firestone after today!

Was told they would handle my wheels with care, but when I asked about putting tires on my freshly powder coated rims. Firestone told me they would put them on the machine and whatever happens happens and they would not pay for any damages.... so I ask it there was any other sure CAREFUL way.... must have been the wrong thing to ask because they told me they would just not do them at all... so my thing is if you ask for a little extra care at Firestone they will not only not give it to you they will just not give you service ..... furthermore I wind i furthermore I would like to say, The great people at Peerless tire mounted and balanced my tires for free.... with Percision and no scratches.

Took vehicle in for oil change and new tires. We were told 1 1/2 hours to 2 hour wait. They called five minutes before close (3 hours) to see if we could wait for tomorrow and to call before close. Never heard from them the next day, so went to go pick it up 24 hours after we dropped it off. The next day, for work, the vehicle began stalling and grinding while the oil light was flashing and pinging. Upon opening the hood, we learned that the oil was not touched. When we confronted the manager, Ryan, about it, they proceeded to instantly become defensive yet aggressive and offered to do a diagnostic...for a fee, even though they offer free diagnostics. (His way of checking to see if they did something wrong? He pulled out the dipstick, did NOT wipe it off, and said See, theres oil! We didnt do anything to it, I can tell, we work on cars every day. When I said I would not pay for a diagnostic due to their lack of providing services and that its impossible to tell if something was messed up by checking a dipstick, the manager then threatened my fiance by saying he was going to call her job and get her fired. When confronted about this, he then said he was going to call the cops because I was threatening him. All because we were charged $25 for an oil change that most certainly did not happen.This is all glossing over the fact that after we took it to them, the emergency break light now turns off and on (was NOT a problem before), the passenger seat was adjusted, items in the vehicle appeared moved around, and the manager puffing out his chest and standing toe-to-toe with me as Im trying to explain whats wrong with the vehicle since it was in their possession.Dont go here. They will rip you off, blame you, and attempt to go after your employment all because you wanted a simple oil change.Yes, corporate has been notified of this instance, but judging by the other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. So again, steer clear (pun intended).(Edit: wrong price, our mistake)

The service that my family has received at the location is a 10+++++. From the minute you schedule an appointment to the time you pick up your car the customer service could not be better. Nicole and Ryan go out if their way to make sure you are taken care of and that their staff does the same. I have used many places and had many good and bad experiences but the Firestone is unique and have earned a lifelong customer.

Got a quote on 4 tires for my 2002 GMC Envoy. Sheldon at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable. Price was good and they were able to install the tire immediately. I was out the door in less than an hour. Sheldon was very polite and respectful.

I guess appointments don’t really matter here. 9:30 appointment for a simple oil change, and it was an hour and a half before they even pulled it in to the building. Entire morning wasted. Friendly staff, just disappointing schedule management.

My transmission was pretty messed up, and the repairs were out of the scope of their ability but the guy there, Sheldon, did everything he could to make sure I got someone on the phone who could help me. I’m a student from out of state and he helped me more than anyone else could. Dude is the best.

Every time our family has used Firestone weve regretted it. Most recently, our sons car got new brakes. A requested inspection was skipped. As soon as we tried to drove it out of town a week later it broke down. The repairs would have costed too much and taken too much time. We then sold the car to a salvage yard because we still needed to move our son out of state. This was a huge disappointment because he had to start in a new state without a vehicle. This could have been avoided had we known of the needed repair a week earlier when the inspection was requested. Oh, and we waited five hours for a 2-minute look at the vehicle to tell us the issue. The brake job was $600 wasted.

They gave me the best service for a difficult oil change. After having a family member strip the factory oil plug and after market one was put in and no one would touch it (Walmart even said they need an impact wrench to open it, which was false because it was a quick drain). But Firestone changed out the oil plug for a factory standard one and changed my oil in under 30 min. I will be returning back here soon for an alignment and I will definitely think before using someone else because their service was amazing.

Friendly service up front. Very slow in the shop. I watched a guy sweep a pile of trash up for 30 minutes. No joke! Unfortunately he was the one putting my tire back on my truck. I made sure to double check his work!

I stood in the building waiting to be helped because the employee was already on the phone and held her finger up stating wait which is fine. But she got off the phone and didn’t even ask if I needed anything. Then proceeded to get back on the phone when it rang. Very unprofessional. You should take care of customers coming in and paying before you grab the phone.

Ive used Firestone many times in the last few years. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. Theyve provided excellent service in a timely fashion every time Ive been there. I wouldnt take my vehicle anywhere else in Manhattan.

Went to get new tires for my Nissan 350z. While the tires were off, someone there stole my nice drilled and slotted brake rotors, and replaced them with some old rusty ones. That is unacceptable.

I blew a trailer tire on Highway 24 and had horses sitting in a hot trailer, and they replaced my tires and I was in and out of there very quickly! They were very nice and willing to help! Thanks yall!
