My husband went in yesterday n had a great experience. So I got an appointment for today n had the same great experience. Didnt get glasses there bc Im from out if town so the only thing was it takes 2 weeks to get them back. So I decided to get them at home. Everyone was very friendly n both Drs were very knowledgeable. It was a nice clean place also.

Who made the policy that if you are vaccinated you do not need to wear a mask? An ignorant person. Over five MILLION people worldwide have died from covid and it has been Proven, wearing masks helps spread the virus. I dont understand why this is a difficult concept for people to grasp, especially when you are putting people at risk by your irresponsible practices. I will never shop here again. Ignorance kills.

I was a new customer but I dont think Ill be going back. Theyre super nice...until they find out youre not spending your money with them. Im semi set for the year so I wont be returning. Now I just have to find a place to get my glasses fixed.

I have always used Shopko Optical for my go to place for glasses. I recently went there for an exam and new glasses. The staff is friendly, professional, helpful and very knowledgeable of their frames and the insurances. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!

My first time with Dr. Brandt. Shes awesome! Efficient and personable! The opticians are wonderful. Makes choosing frames easy.

Was always happy with the service until this year. Been with them over 14 years. This year my service was cold she took no measurements did everything on the computer. Never looked at me once not even at the time of payment. Seemed put out to even serve me. I’m very disappointed. It maybe my last year with them. To put out so much money and be treated this way is just not right. Now I can’t even use my bifocals unless I tilt one side of my glasses.

My experience was not so good. Some of the employees there were nice but I felt rushed through my exams and paperwork. Didnt get the chance to get the information in details or have the time to ask all my questions. The associate I had didnt even ask for my insurance card since its new and my profile with them is not up to date. They are also limited with mens glasses. I was also not greeted when I came in so it was really awkward just standing around waiting for someone to get me. Really second guessing on going back there.

I have always loved going to Shopko for my exams and getting contacts. Only downside as of late is they do not accept the insurance I have always had and the selection for mens frames is kind of limited. Otherwise it has always been a great place to go. Which I still do for my exams.

It was my first time at Shopko Optical. I was greeted immediately and checked in, and from the second I walked through the door I was treated with respect and kindness. Theres no doubt, I would recommend Shopko Optical to everyone I know.

Staff was not very attentive. Seemed as though they didn’t want to help or address customers that came in. After my exam I waited 15 minutes while the staff made a number of outbound phone calls and did tasks of their own before asking if I needed help. Not very organized, efficient, friendly or helpful service.

Been going to Shopko optical over 10 years. I made the switch from another eye place that I was at for 7 years because of an issue at the other facility. Well shopko, I’ve had enough. Your employees are rude. It started on the phone when I made the appointment! You guys could at least sound happy to talk to customers. I received like 6 text messages to confirm my appointment which was quite annoying to be honest, AND got a phone call the night before at 6:30pm telling me to be there for check in at 8:50am. I get there at 8:50am- doors locked. I wait until 9 when my appointment is. Door is still locked and all lights are still out... I get you open at 9.. but at least be some what early? Yikes that looks really bad on business! I stood outside in the cold waiting for the lady to open the door. Finally I get inside and she asked me a million questions, if I have an appointment, have I been seen here before, what my name x3 (yes 3 times after I JUST told her). The lady who did my first exam seemed less than thrilled to be doing her job. She asked me the questions and told me to take my contacts out. Never once smiled. Mind you I was already upset and in a bad mood so I’m trying my best to smile and joke with her, nope nothing at all. She sends me on my way and I get to Dr. Cook. Now this is my 3rd time seeing Dr. Cook I believe, before him I saw another gentleman I really liked and I’m not sure his name or where he went but I should find out! I finished my exam with him and went to check out where I was told I would be helped shortly. I stood there for about 5 minutes as I was ignored several times and finally the same lady who unlocked the doors told me I could come by her. She started telling me that it was great that my insurance is going to cover my contacts completely today! I said “no they aren’t” she started reading the paper where it stated my insurance covers my exam and my contact fitting, they cover my GLASSES, and lenses, and then says “yes they covers your contacts completely- so let’s get those contacts ordered” I said “no they only cover $80 of contacts, I know what my insurance covers” she started fumbling through paperwork rereading things over and over. She said “ah yes they cover $80 would you like to order?” I told her no because that’s not a lot that they cover and you guys over charge here! I’ll order online. She then told me if I’m not ordering contacts or glasses she can’t bill my insurance for my exam. I looked at her like she was NUTS! I said yes you can! She had to get up and ask another employee! I will NEVER go back to Shopko Optical!!! This was absolutely the worse experience from beginning to end I have ever experienced! There was not one good part about it!

Staff is very polite but not very time efficient. I needed an adjustment to my glasses prescription and instead of making an appointment the person I talked to pushed me to come in when the doctor had a last minute cancelation. I proceeded to wait over an hour and a half instead of coming in for an already made appointment time.

Seemed very unorganized and didnt like the feeling of being rushed through something thats important to my health and NOT cheap. Came in 10 mins before my appt as suggested. Was told to just stand and wait for the doctor. I aimlessly stood there for 20 mins. Somewhat glanced at some glasses Id maybe like to try on after my appt. And P.S. you cant take your mask off for 3 seconds to see what your face looks like with the glasses youre trying on. Dr. Cook was great. After I tried on some glasses and decided which pairs Id like to go with, the lady asked if I wanted anti glare in which I did. I asked how much, she said $59. Ok, so im thinking $118 for two pairs of glasses right? No they charge $59 for each lense (right/left). So $118 each pair! That seems rediculous to me! And then she asked if I wanted the blue light coating- I said is it extra she said no its the same price as the anti-glare so I said fine. Come to find out that was an extra $20 per lens! So another $80! During this whole time she never went through what the cost was for the glasses/lenses/etc all put together, just all of the sudden at the end I owed hundreds of dollars which I was NOT expecting. A little helpful information along the way to know where Im at wouldve been nice. Never let me see an itemized receipt prior to paying. So just put my debit card in for $400 and not even know what im paying for! And then I realized after I left they never said anything about how long I should expect to have them? So I called and someone finally answered the phone after 5 times of calling.

Ive been going to Shopko for years and always recommended them to my friends and family. Im not sure what happened but the customer service has diminished since moving to a new building. I cant speak for every employee because Beth is absolutely amazing and I really enjoy Dr. Torreano but it doesnt seem like anyone is on the same page. My fiance had to re-visit/call 5+ to get the correct contacts after they provided him the incorrect prescription - not one apology was ever given. Every time he called he spoke to someone new and got a different story, again no apology. As for me, I was practically scolded for not ordering contacts within their 90-day window from my exam date in which was never communicated to me. I had an appointment with Dr. Torreano to review my prescription and while that part was brief, I was waiting for someone to help me order contacts. After 20 minutes, I walked up to one of the employees to ask if I could call and order contacts over the phone as my lunch was ending and I needed to return to work. Mind you, she was not helping anyone at the time and she grabbed my folder, handed me my prescription and didnt say a word. I immediately got home and ordered contacts through 1-800-Contacts because Shopko lost a customer today.

They had me in and out before my appointment was even started. They adjusted my new glasses and were able to repair my older seat. Great employees.

Brand new location, same smiling faces. The personnel here are great to work with and very helpful. Dr. Cook is very knowledgeable and very patient. Hes happy to answer questions and explain your care. Just had my yearly check up...got new contacts and when they didnt fit right, I called and they had come right over to get it fixed.

Been going to Dr. Cook for years. He is awsome!! Glad to see same staff. Great new place, so much brighter. Love the selection of frames. The girls are always great at helping me choose. Staff is very knowledgeable. Love that they will be honest if the frame doesnt work for me. I reccomend Shopko to all my family and friends.

I wasn’t aware of the clinic move, as nobody told me while scheduling. After 15 minutes of searching, I find the office. I bring my concern to the gal that checked us in and she literally said “oh”. Terrible customer service. If a patient has a concern, an apology is in order. The new office looks nice, very small and the waiting room is 6 chairs in a small area all smooshed together. I will not be returning for my eye care needs.

I shop here quite regularly. They usually have some really great deals. They are typically more expensive than other places, but I can always find great deals! They have some staff that are less than pleasant, especially if you question a price of something. They also dont work around you as a customer you must move out of their way 99% of the time. Overall I still love Shopko and will continue to shop there!!!

There were items I wanted that had no prices on them but I got prompt service from someone who never lost her smile. The staff also supplied us with zip-ties to hold our plant stands together. Courteous and very nice. You are lucky to have such good employees.

The whole chain is closing. Whats interesting though is that the optical center will still be open at a different address. I will write a review when we need to get glasses again.

Went in to set up an apt. Got me in right away all with a half hr I had a eye checkup and new glasses and only costed me 20$!!! Very happy!!

Shopko is a good store to get a variety of things. Today pots for plants were half off and an extra 20% for the rest of the week,some special promotion. In general there prices are high,there sale prices great! They also have a eye Care center and pharmacy, use both.

The absolute slowest customer service in Manitowoc. Our cashier is moving slower than any human being I’ve ever seen. I had time to write this review and have time to text my mom for a few in the time it took to help ONE person. I can’t even complain as she has no name tag on.

The store was fine and the employees were great, my only complaint was with the fitting rooms. They were disgusting. Filthy like they hadnt been cleaned in years, and they were so small. I had my newborn baby with me and he would not fit in the room with me so I had to try on clothes with the door open.

I appreciated the clean, organized store. Still had to watch the sales as their prices were not the most competitive. Sorry to see them go.

I recommend going for exam, doctors and workers are nice, but just get the information you need to order glasses online. Cheaper and faster.

Checkout issues. Let we wait for quite awhile then said it will be quite a wait thats why I turned my light off. Finally got checked out on a different isle and person was very nice.

There is no reason to be treated that way left my house at 6am on public transportation from two rivers to manitowoc for an appointment at ten got got there at 8:50 they said I can wait outside til 10:00 can hardly walk had to cancel and go home waited 3 months for the appointment need glasses this treatment is unacceptable Im disabled thanks

The deals are relative. Watch what you buy. My husband used to get his jeans always there at around $20, they increased the price to $40 and have 50% off closing sale...wow...

Has quality items at a fair rate. The eyecare center has a good selection of glasses and very helpful people. Also the pharmacy is very convenient.

Never been impressed by this store. Not much of a selection of merchandise. Prices are definitely not worth the trip.

Shopko has Shopko merchandise at Macys prices. I use to shop there regularly and noticed prices rising. I ended up going to Old Navy and did almost all my Christmas shopping there for a third of what I would have spent at Shopko. Providing I found anything the kids would have worn.

The prices are on a par with Macys but the product quality is on par with Walmart. Honestly, its confusing; its as if they cant decide whether theyre a discount store or a mid tier department store (full disclosure, they sell discount/off brands at inflated prices). I used to live in the area and didnt think better of it at the time but now understand why you only see Shopko in smaller and/or more outlying areas - they wouldnt stay in business anyplace with too much competition.Two stars because the store was clean and the employees were friendly.

Now that theyre closing, they finally have great prices.. Too bad they cant stay here with the pricing they currently have. But its hard to compete with Walmart, and the soon-to-(maybe)come 👎Meijer👎

Excellent deals, great selection... dont waste your time and money at Walmart. At least Shopko cares for thier customers and will open another check lane so you dont have to wait in a long line

The pony tailed manager at Shopko in Manitowoc obviously has no client relations training. She has over the year and even still been rudly and ignorantly sneid and snots back to customers who are politely letting her know of store issues. She should definately not be in a leadership position. No wonder Shopko did not do well with managers who are careless in this way.

Staff could have been friendlier. They dont take EBT cards, even though they just increased their grocery section. They also dont accept Chamber Bucks, which is a shame because most local businesses do. Just ok.

We were out of town, so I ran in to get some medicine. It looked neat & I found what I needed.

Horrible...sale priced items that were good until February 2nd marked at 50% marked up to 10% ... A blender I looked at was 40$ more than Walmarts. No wonder they are going bankrupt. 😡

Picked up some great shoes I needed for work, saleslady was very friendly and helpful in what shoes would be good for what I needed.

Aside from the organized chaos they have a good selection of home wares.

Good sale prices but, the service was less than acceptable and the place needs a remodeling.

I was a little disappointed in the selection at the store and the prices were comparative to Target sometimes slightly higher sometimes slightly lower. Lines tend to be a little bit long hair but employees are friendly helpful and work efficiently.

Not a large selection. Theyre alright for certain items. Definitely not a Walmart. Lots of overpriced Wisconsin sports apparel. Some basic snacks, pop, soaps and such. They however redeem a bit with carrying some Nike, Adidas and skecher clothing and shoes at comparable prices. But the shoes are pretty stock, nothing fancy. The bedding though is pretty nice and lasts. The flyer sales on housewares, decor, furniture and bedding is the best time to go. (Lowest price of the season sales) The items are pretty nice. Shipping prices definitely need to come down. I think its still $99 for free shipping, which is firmly stuck in the past for all the online shoppers now adays. Its limited and overpriced on some points. But also has some things no one else in town does. If you need home items, or economical sneakers and sweatshirts/shorts for your teen, this is probably your best option if your limited to Manitowoc. Much more reasonable than the Kohls.

First time I ordered on line from Shopko and I cant begin to express my total disappointment. I will never, and I repeat, never, order from this company again. Total incompetence in every way imaginable. Dont waste your time or your money. They conveniently have a policy that refuses to cancel your order even tho youve waited 14 days!!!!! for it to just be processed let alone delivered. Total joke . . . . almost laughable.

Received their new reward dollars to find out only good for three days on a weekend how fair is that when one works retail and doesnt even get the opportunity to use ..lost out on 30 rewards

They dont let you exchange without your receipt even though it clearly states you can receive in store credit without a receipt I tried to exchange diapers for a different size she said they just changed the policy I called corporate they said they should have exchanged them so I go there a second time even though corporate told them to exchange them she still refused to believe me never coming here again
