Home Depot is always neat, well organized, and stocked with high quality products. I really like the mobile app and website because they have accurate inventory information and can tell me exactly where the product I am looking for is located in my store. Additionally, the Pro member program (available to homeowners), e-receipts, ease of returns, and tool availability from all of the big names are bonuses as well. All of these factors combined keep me going here rather than the big green store. The only real downside is that selection is a little limited, though what they have is almost always high quality.

Tried to order railing here, they took the measurements and were going to get back to me with a quote, never heard back so I called in and left a message and still didnt get an answer so I ordered from Lamperts in Blue Earth. They got me a quote quick and ordered it right away. was very happy with the serve there.
Decent selection. Since they opened in Mankato they’ve been short on employees. Most of the time you can’t find an employee besides the cashier.
Went to buy a lawnmower as on the website said they had 5 in stock so I called the store and asked if they had one put together. After being shuffled on the phone...finally got someone that said sure...we have them put together... suggested that I buy one online. Told him would be in tomorrow and purchase one. Looked for one upon arrival....none. So I went to customer service desk and asked if I could buy one. Was told...sure....let me make a call. Was told it had to be put together would be half hour to an hour. Said fine.....4 hours of waiting.... finally they got one put together. Should have talked to a manager...versus customer service. Figured the store would be happy I dropped over 3 grand....nope. Only nice thing was the 2 kids who helped me load it on my trailer apologized for taking so long. Need to work on their communication skills...and customer relations.
The service here is very good. Employees have great attitudes and are knowledgeable. More often than not when I need assistance, before Ive gone looking for help an employee has shown up and offered assistance. What a refreshing change from similar stores. Lumber is cut to your size also and that is so helpful!
I went in on Wednesday, june 16 to place a fairly large order of a lot of random supplies for a remodel. I started with checking on carpet prices. Thats where I met Andrea. She took charge right away and helped me with everything I needed. From the product to the payment. I needed some items pulled so I could pick everything up the next day with my trailer. She made sure everything was on carts and tagged so I could get in and out quick when I came back. She said she was working at 11 the next day so I made a point to come after that so she could help make sure there were no problems. Very smooth transaction. Andreas customer service skills are 2nd to none in my opinion.
I confess: I didnt want to like The Home Depot, but they won me over with their huge selection of stock (I can always get what I need), and their friendly, helpful staff. These folks are determined to help you walk out with what you want. Theyve helped me map out what I need for a project, find the right light bulb, tool or hardware, even helped me pick out paint colors! My favorite thing, though is the garden center. No matter what I need: dirt, gardening tools or gloves, a new hose or LOTS of lush, healthy plants, I can get it all here!
I had to wait 10 minutes to get service while these 2 employees talked and I had to interrupt them and this WAS at customer service. Wow! great product though. If they didnt have that I would not have been there returning damaged product. (Employees Really need to be more in tune with surroundings) I could have ordered the same thing online for cheaper. Prove me better than one star because thats what I feel Everytime I walk in other than the merch is fair quality at fair price. Im customer service and Id fire someone if I seen that. Being real
I needed help choosing a gray paint. The young people working today were very helpful and knew which shades to go with, that wouldnt end up looking blue or green. I think I found my paint!! Thanks to the workers!

Every time I have been to this store everyone on the staff has been absolutely amazing to work with. Just like most places, you just need to have patience with the staff, there are dozens of people every day that are all trying to receive assistance for each and every employee

Gift card purchased online two hours before closing, advertised as practically instantaneous, was still being processed and while standing up at the Customer Service desk for twenty minutes while the clerk gal tried her best with the 3 gift card confirmation emails which contained the order number, but nothing useful to actually use the gift card.Last 4 of card used to purchase? Sure. But no sign of the relevant and necessary information despite receiving an email with the all caps heading YOUR GIFT CARD INFORMATION, followed by no actual gift card information. I feel like I got April Fools pranked in July.Went home empty handed tonight so I guess Im done working early is what Ill take out of this ridiculousness.The clerk gal was as helpful as she could be. Her grumpy leprechaun of a shift lead/manager exemplified impressive skill at cramming a whole bunch of condescendion wrapped in ignorance into the 2 minutes he was involved from 8:59 to 9:01 when I walked out with nothing but a not super confident suggestion that gift cards might take 24 hours to process as an explanation, which is a good guess, but not at all what the Homedepot.com gift card page suggested.See the email it option says instantly well, instantly might actually take 24 hours, but dont worry the manager will try to make you think its your fault.

Lies and clueless. We bought a dryer and was told it would be delivered AND installed. It was dropped off but the delivery person said he doesn’t do installations. When I called the store, I was told that the earliest it would be installed was 4 weeks from that day. I asked if I installed it myself, would it void the warranty? The manager said she wasn’t sure. I waited over a week for an answer. Finally I called them again and they told me they can’t do anything about the installation time, and that no “it shouldn’t” void the warranty. I’m sick and tired of air drying my clothes. I’m hooking up the dryer myself. Imagine if I was a little old lady who couldn’t hook the thing up? I would be S.O.L. Get your priorities straight. Also, when someone calls with an issue like this, learn to apologize for the inconvenience. Only one person out of the three calls made said sorry.
I used to shop more at Lowes and lots of time dont feel like going to menards but I find it difficult to find things here compared to those places but overall its not bad

Was able to find what I needed from the staff working on the floor. I did have to find someone to help and then was directed to someone else to find what I needed. When I did find the right associate they where knowledgeable of there area.
Ive been a BIG fan of Home Depot for years. I love the quality of the merchandise and their commitment to Veterans.Im at Home Depot A LOT. Probably not as much as the contractor customers, but definitely more than most. Ive always been very happy with my experience there; UNTIL TODAY...On two occasions, when I have had a large order ($400-$500), that I made at the Customer Service desk, an employee offered free delivery (which I gladly accepted, and found to be excellent). This afternoon, however, when I went to the Customer Service desk to inquire about delivery of 45 sheets of drywall, the representative said that delivery is $79.00. I inquired about what the minimum purchase must be to qualify for free delivery and the gentleman stated No. I dont deliver anything for free. I said okay, but was just wondering about free delivery, as I had gotten it on two previous occasions from this store. His response was Nope. Not from here. How much drywall? I told him that I would need 40-45 sheets. He looked at me as if I was foolish for asking, said Nope. and walked away from me.I didnt walk in this mans shoes today and its not up to me to judge him; maybe he had a bad day or has some challenges in his life that are weighing him down. BUT, I was INSULTED by him challenging my integrity by insinuating that I hadnt had free delivery from that store before. From my stance, he basically called me a liar and disengaged.I truly hope that this man is doing well and is able to work unburdened by the rigors of life. For me, I wont let this one bad encounter change my overall appreciation of the store.Thanks for reading this far, enjoy your visit to Home Depot!

I bought 2x4s for my garden fence. The price was right, and they cut them for me so they would fit in the car. Then I bought some flowers. Very good experience.
It is ok. There are other large home improvement stores nearby that is better organized and better lighted. They have a good selection of name brand power tools. This one always seems dead, like no one goes to it. I hardly see more than ten vehicles in the lot at a given time.The way I look at it, it the first store doesnt have what I need, I will go next door to this He Depot to see what they have.

I ordered a refrigerator from this place in June. I just received it today almost 6 months later. The reason was not because of back order or anything, it was due to an error from the fridge manufacturer. I tried receiving help from home depot multiple times due to this is where i purchased it but was told to basically just deal with it on my own. They said they would reach out to the manufacturer and let me know after calling them repeatedly but they never did reach back to me.

We love home Depot! We comparison shop and usually they can beat the price of other stores for the same quality. I can find items there that I dont find in other stores. 8.5 out of 10 times, home Depot ends up getting our money over other stores.

Recently purchased flooring from Home Depot. I applied for their credit card but was told I had to go to the store to get my credit card information. Went to the store and was told I could place the order with them instead of online and I would still be able to return if needed. They got the credit card information figured out and placed the order for me, after having to ask my personal information 6 times. It took a full hour to order five different items. They once again reassured me I would be able to make a return if needed. I would never have ordered otherwise.My husband went to the store today to return the flooring we had that was not used. They gave him a hard time about returning since they said it was a special order. After telling me that I would have no problem returning if needed. The customer service department at the store in Mankato, MN has no clue what they are doing. The ordering and returning process both were disasters. I was going to purchase new blinds for our home but will be taking my business elsewhere.
Bought a s100 John Deere mower put gas in after they brought it to me drive in shed. Few weeks later went to start would not. Called spoke to a manger who got smart. This is not even mowing season yet and I got early so I could mow when grass ready! 0 hours on it and has to go to John Deere cause it won’t crank over !!!!
I found a choice of Dewalt and Milwaukee torque bits and nut drivers for work. Plus quality 7/8 speed wrench for steel disassembly.

The isles are well marked, someone typically asks me if I need help and they provide free masks. The bathrooms are clean and pretty nice for awarehouse store.

Stopped by today to get some more paint and waited now than 5 minutes for someone to come back to the desk to see if I needed help. Asked for assistance in the electrical department and again, no one was around to assist me. Had to walk around until I found someone to answer my question.
Im not the greatest fan of how its layed out. But when I cant find things at other places typically i can find it here and/or they have more of an idea in the diffrent sizes.
I asked five people for a product I was looking for and all they did was check their phones. I ended up having to find it by myself.

Decent prices, great selection. If you want to pay with cash, its a hinderance. All self-serve checkout is card only, and you have to hitchhike to the other end of the store in search of the lone register lit/open (and a line...Friday night). She was a sweetheart though. Couldnt be frustrated with her about it, just the decision makers in an office either on or off site that focus on profit/loss statements rather than customer experience. Still better than Menards in my opinion. Please dont blow it.
I went in this store the other day to just ask a few general questions about woodworking, measurements, and installing under the counter appliances. (Im trying to build my own bar) When talking with the associate, I didnt even get a chance to ask any specific questions, he just asked me generally what I wanted to know. I was pretty disappointed when he responded with Yeah you should probably just look on Pinterest... I guess I cant blame the store associate for not knowing, but it would have been awesome if he could have at least attempted to find out if anyone else had experience with woodworking/installing appliances. The last time I was at HomeDepot a few years ago, I had a great experience when I made my own beer pong table and got good advice from the associates about different types of wood to use etc. I guess I was disappointed that the great customer service doesnt extend to all employees working there.
A little more expensive than their neighbor, but the quality is better. So depending on your wants and needs, want better quality come here, want cheap, go next door to the other guys
I love my HD. Almost all the employees I had contact with seem to not hate their jobs and ate willing to help find answers to DIY questions.
Had a very good talk with the Milwaukee rep there. Very knowledgeable about all the tools we talked about. Will be making a purchase sometime soon.
Last time I do an online order here. They make you push your entire load to the service desk to check out. Apparently checking out on the lumber side is too difficult for them. Ill stick with menards from now on

Sometimes its impossible to get helpful workers here (and I am a retail worker myself). They will tell you no and just plain stare at you. I have found the majority of my visits to be very disappointing because they just werent helpful. At least they have a Veterans discount and let me bring in my dog.

Nothing for double wall 4 garage heater exhaust or natural gas hose/fittings.Help knew nothing.
Wanted carpet installed. Stated they would be there between 12-3pm. Finally at 4 they said they would be there at 6. Did not hear anything and no one showed up at 6. After making calls to home depot installations and customer service at 6:30 we got a call back from installers at 6:45 saying they would be there in an hour. They did show up at 7:45 and finished at 10:30. They took our afternoon from work and our evening and night away from us. Would not give us anything for pushing well into the night and didnt feel bad about the poor communication and service they provided. Would never recommend going through them for carpet or any services you want.
My Husband and I recently remodeled our bathroom. Once it was done it was time to return a few items. Today my friend Riki and I met an awesome girl named Bailey she was very down-to-earth, professional, and knowledgeable. Thank you Home Depot for supplying us with the tools we needed and for having such awesome customer service. It’s the employees that really make the company stand out.
