I had an amazing experience here! I got my first piercing besides my earlobe piercing here on my nose, and it looks so cute!! Susan was so kind and walked me through all of the steps, no surprises!! Susan was a very kind and friendly person, would make a great friend, and the piercing was done before I knew it, very clean place and sweet and professional staff, helped me even when I needed clarification and came back after I was just there about how I need to clean my piercing. Pricing was great, and it was a very pleasant experience, I was told I could leave a Facebook review, unfortunately I dont use Facebook, but I hope almost famous still reads this review!Honestly, the only disappointment was that I couldnt tip the staff, because Susan did an outstanding job, she deserved even more money, they said all they ask for is an optional review, so here I am, and I cant express how much I LOVE my piercing! Also, the other staff were helpful and good as well! If I ever get another piercing, Im definitely going here! 😀

I don’t usually write reviews unless it is a positive one. Today I brought my daughter in to get a piercing and was turned down because we only had a passport and not a birth certificate. You can’t get a passport unless you have a birth certificate. I said what a bummer this is the third time we tried to get a piercing done and we never have the correct forms. Not being rude or anything just had a bummed out birthday daughter. The front desk girl was so rude about it I told her I was not going to come back than and she continued to keep yelling at me about the state laws as I walked out the door! Very Rude!

Very pleased with my new piercing. Amaya explains the process then performs the piercing so fast a little ouch and its over! The placement is perfect. You are supplied with aftercare instructions and the products you need to take care of your piercing 😃👍

I’ve gotten all my piercings done by Maggie and she’s done a great job every time. when i went in to get my belly pierced she let me know the possible issues that could occur and each time i’ve gone in she’s been very positive and informative as i normally get multiple piercings at a time.

I recently had a helix piercing done and within 1 week the ball of the earring fell off and my piercing fell out! I have multiple piercing and NEVER have I had this problem!!! I returned to the store explained to them what had happened and asked if they could flip my earring around so the stone was showing not the regular ball....she said sure no problem....it will cost $7!!!!!!!! I was like really I didn’t nothing wrong this is a brand new piercing and you can’t even check this out to make sure it’s not faulty or switch my bar around?!? She said no.....I walked out never have I had such poor customer service in my life!!!! I live in another state and decided to do the rest of my piercing bucketlist because I was so impressed. They are super clean, and the technician worked with me to make sure it was placed exactly where I wanted along with helping with the best placement for my face shape. 5 piercings here;Within 5 min 4 fell out, 1 was not replaced cause it was pierced to shallow,Went back for a repierce of the shallow 1, at this time another that was too shallow started migrating out, so they replaced it with a smaller ring, and charged for it, (had to remove 3 weeks later due to migration) the 1 that was a repierced this time is way to deep and needed new jewelry to fit, (went to different shop this time) also they are a pair and should have been symmetrical, not even close, 2 of the 4 that had previously fallen out had fallen out again 1 needed to be redone, they wanted to charge for that and the jewelry that fell out within minutes of leaving the store,Ended up being pierced 9 times to get the 5 piercings I wanted, (finished at cactus tattoo, very good people there, very professional and no issue)Supper unprofessional, loud mouth that let everyone else in the store know what piercings I had done, very embarrassing, will never go back again,use a real tattoo piercing shop these gals are a joke almost $500 down the drain from the 5 they did I was only able to keep 2, everything else had to be redone

I love my piercings!! Susan, was the staff member that helped pierce my ears. She did an amazing job! The piercing was not crooked, which has been a constant problem at other ear piercing places, plus she was super bubbly and new her stuff! The rest of the staff were also super kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Almost Famous and I would also highly recommend choosing Susan as your piercer.

I was pleasantly surprised by the attentive and pleasant staff. They acknowledged me upon entering their business and answered all of my questions. I first emailed to ask what the policy was for getting a child’s ears pierced there and no response was ever sent. I was in the mall, so I stopped in to ask. There was one girl up front and she started to respond said they didn’t have any policy’s, but then said they need to have a photo ID. While asking the girl about the photo ID another girl came out from somewhere and said that’s the state policy because they are professionals so we have to have that, but how she said it and acted while saying it was so extremely rude. I would NEVER go in there again after that and would definitely not recommend them to anyone! I will happily give my money to another licensed establishment that acts professionally!

Me and a huge group of my friends all went to get piercings, we all had Jade and we all absolutely loved her!! Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable and super helpful. Jade made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and she was great. And the buy one get one free deal made it all even better! If I were to ever get anything else pierced I would definitely be going back here and I would highly recommend to anyone!

My brother and I went here and had a great experience. It was not my first time getting a piercing but it was my first time having a needle piercing vs the gun. The shop has a great appearance, it is easy to shop, the piercing rooms were very clean and they unwrap the tools from the sterile packaging in front of you. Kassi did a great job explaining the process and aftercare. She was also very thorough and thoughtful on piercing location and directions, things I had never thought of. They give you all you need to after to care for your piercings with directions. Kassi did a great job doing the piercings, she was patient when she needed to be and very quick, accurate and efficient for the piercings as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Very unprofessional and worst customer service ever! My reason for visiting was very simple, I was not being able to put in my nose pin so I went there to have a professional piercer to put it in for me. But the girl who was trying to put my nose pin was constantly hurting me with the scissors. When I moved back a little she was very mean and she couldn’t put a simple nose pin in. When I noticed how unprofessional she was I told her to leave it if you can’t put it in (because she was constantly hurting me not in my piercing but inside my nose with scissors), she said she will charge me anyway even though she was totally unable to put the nose pin in. I have never received such poor customer service ever before. The manager was nice but the other girl that was working there was extremely rude, she doesn’t know how to behave with customers. I’m never going back there again.

I hate to sound like a mean person. But Im very unhappy. I went in to get my nipples pierced and was very happy at first. Less then 24 hours passed and I realized that they messed up on one so I went in to have it taken out. So they said they would do it for free since they messed up. So its been 3 weeks and is completely healed but yet they refuse to do it again for another month. Im sorry but Im pretty sure I paid for what I wanted and they messed up. So either they need to get new piercers who know exactly what they are doing so that this stuff doesnt happen to others like myself. Or be prepared for negative word of mouth and losing allot of business. I want what I want because Im a paying customer and should get what I paid for. I get the whole waiting to make sure its healed. But I had it literally in for less then 24 hours and i have waited long enough. So thats why I gave this a 3 star 🌟 rating. Call me petty but I feel justified in my reasoning. But besides all that very clean and very nice people who work in there.

I would definitely recommend this place. I went with a friend when she got her piercings done. The staff had great senses of humor. It was clean and steril. And Maggie did a great job of easing the tension and nervousness. And they sell some pretty jewelry. I will definitely be going back there when I decide to get my next piercing.

Absolutely love coming here for jewelry and peircings! Ive gotten all of my peircings from here and would never go anywhere else...i love how they dont use peircing guns and use needles and clamps instead, Maggie does amazing at her job and always answers all my questions and always preforms my peircings perfectly!:)

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I had to have a new piercing removed to it being overgrown I was told to come back in three weeks. So I went back to see about getting it redone for free as promised and was informed by the manager that I had to wait THREE MONTHS to get it redone even though it’s a brand new nostril piercing she refused to let me finish and was borderline argumentative. I won’t be back, to this location.

Horrible. I can not believe how the talk to customers. Plus I stated I did not want the piercer to put the jewelry in my ear. She did not respect my wishes and tried anyways. When trying, it hurt. So, I jumped a little. She threw her hands down and stated she could not get it in. She told me I was good to go and try at a later time. After I left the room, she slammed the door. This is my second bad experience here.

Got multiple piercings and had no issue. Love the people there. Always been friendly when Ive gone in. I lost my bead from my nose ring like 4 days after getting it done. They helped put a new one on and tighten the loop up so wouldnt have the same issue again. Totally will be going back for any new piercings, jewelry and a change outs.

I got my nose pierced here today, (only have my ears double pierced)...the ladies that were working were great! I felt pretty faint after the piercing and they were very reassuring and had me lie down a moment with a glass of water. Good as new in a couple minutes! Definitely recommend.

Been there four times in past month and have gotten 9 piercings. Adar and Cassy and the apprentice (dont know her name) are wonderful...like I cant wait to visit with them while piercing. They make you feel very welcome and know what they are doing...other than they are very sure of themselves. The right place to go for sure. Cant wait to go see them all again.😊

Its cheaper to get two facial piercings at Cactus Tattoo than it is to do the Buy One Get One Free deal here. Dont risk it, just go to the professionals at high quality tattoo shops that include jewelry and aftercare in the total price. A nose piercing at Cactus is $50-62 with everything included. One nose piercing here can cost you $65-70. Not worth it.

Did a fine job with the piercings but then sold me a faulty bead that had absolutely no thread, and when I went in to see what they could do for me they said, sometimes we sell beads that are faulty and but its not our fault. Terrible customer service. Wont be buying anything from here again.

Clean place, good staff . I came in for a piercing once great experience. I also have a dermal that was previously pierced by another shop went in to get the dermal jewelry replaced with new top. The lady tugged and tugged for 20 minutes and couldnt get it out, so she sent me on my way. Days later dermal began growing a bubble on the side and pussing of course this isnt my first piercing so I know about disinfecting. Realized it was coming out of my skin, lady didnt even make me aware of any after care or what to expect. They still want to charge me for removing it because it was my fault. Now my dermal snags on everything and is painful. Wish they would inform more

I went in to get pricing and ask a couple of questions about a specific piercing.. the staff working was extremely rude. They’re also more expensive than more experienced places in town.

It was very bad visit. The associate working was rude. I came in on Nov 6th 2018 around 12:30 to purchase jewelry for a piercing thats a month old. I was buying for when I can change it out because I know its to early to change it. However, the associate working told me she was uncomfortable selling to me because its to early to change the piercing. One, I know this information I wouldnt be stupid enough to change it this early. That would hurt the awsome body art I paid to have done to begin with . Two, in the case I did its my body, your turning away business which leads me to take my business else where.

Got a piercing done while on vacation and it wasnt feeling to good. Was extremely painful and looked almost infected. after a couple days. went there to get more sea salt to clean it and while i was there just asked them to look and make sure everything was okay. They told me that where i had gone had used the wrong jewelry. they swapped out the jewelry and it surprisingly didnt hurt at all. very gentle. Not even a day later and my piercings feel 100% better, no more discomfort and dont look infected anymore!

Recomended earings were too big. They said they look like they are but that theyd fit. They did not and there are no returns. I called and they said I was putting them in wrong. I finally got them in MY ears but now they hurt. Unacceptable!! Good at piercing but I will NEVER buy earings here again. Im not going to stretch my daughters ear like some hipster...my ears are even sore now but I dont want the $25 to be a total waste.

Best place ever! Got my tounge pierced and it was amazing. She did so good, the pain was about 3/10 and barely hurt afterwards. Month later I never have any pain or problems with it. Very sterile. Shes very thorough with the process, placement, and aftercare. Definitely going back

I had my back dermals done with them cause I really wanted them done. Kept a bandaid over them for the recommended amount of weeks. They were NOT even done correctly. They didnt even put them in my back dimples. My body rejected one and the other one the gem fell out and they told me they couldnt do anything about it. So the boot to the dermal is still in my back. Very bad experience will NEVER recommend them to someone.

I have chronic migraines, and this past spring, I went to a competing shop in town and got daith piercings - right side first, then the left a few weeks later. After the second piercing, I noticed a bump at the piercing site. I went back to my original piercer and was informed (rather impatiently) that I was simply not taking proper care of it, but no matter what I did, the bump just kept getting bigger and more and more painful.The bump ruptured one night, and I went to Almost Famous in the River Hills Mall in a complete panic, since they had just opened up and were the only ones in town still open that late. Im SO GLAD they were!!Kassi took a look at the damage, asked a TON of questions, and then recommended I change to titanium jewelry, since it looked like I was allergic to the surgical steel. She changed both sides out for me right away, gave me some more specific care instructions, and Im thrilled to say that I havent had a problem since! Thanks so much!
