For my third tattoo I wanted something different and decided I would go to a different place in town. It didnt work and I didnt get what I wanted from the concept. I went back to Rob because I knew he would listen and be able to get me what I wanted. Finally did he get me what I wanted but he surpassed my expectations. It was alright, I got the hole in my lip that I paid for...kind of.I came here to get a vertical labret. Precision and symmetry is key with this type of piercing, so I looked around for an expert and the reviews led me here.I suppose with experience comes hubris. The lead piercer guy was pretty full of himself and actually rolled his eyes when I asked him to go further to the right to align it with my facial features.His method was to align it with something *inside* the mouth, and so thats what he did.It is now fully healed and noticeably too far to the left.Thanks for the scar I guess.Maybe theyre better at tattoos?Also, the waiting room was packed like sardines.

I went in to get an upper lobe piercing and my second nostril piercing today. I made an appointment a few weeks ago, and the process has been amazing throughout. Got my nose pierced by Brandon earlier today. He was awesome. Talked me through the whole process, made sure I understood all the aftercare instructions and told me quite a bit about good quality jewelry. I definitely recommend him if you’re wanting any type of piercing!

Was able to walk in on a Saturday, get a dope design at a really great price. Compared to another shop in town I visited the same day where I was charged way more for a way simpler design. They also offered free touch up within 6 months which I’ve never needed but it’s nice to know. I can see why they won best tattoo shop.

Cactus Tattoo is the only tattoo shop that Ive revisited - multiple times! Their artists are knowledgeable and friendly and put a high emphasis on the quality of their work. Their 3 artists offer a variety of design strengths, so its a one-stop shop for anything you might be thinking of. Their shop is also very clean! I have been tattooed there over 10 times, and Ive never had any problems. I have never had any piercings done there personally, but based on what Ive heard from those close to me, their piercing staff is thorough, professional, clean, and friendly. Their reception staff is also extremely helpful and work cohesively with the rest of the shop. Its too the only shop I recommend to friends and family!!

I went in earlier today with my friends to get some piercings. We were a group of about 5, so there were lots of piercings we wanted to get done. The ladies at the front desk were super kind and helpful. Our piercer Brandon was awesome! He was super professional and did a wonderful job with the piercings. He made the process as painless as possible, and even put up with me being super anxious about the piercing process. Totally recommend Cactus and Brandon!

This was my second tattoo so I knew a bit of what to expect, but my artist was super friendly and helpful with what I wanted. I loved the environment and everyone working there was super nice. My tattoo turned out better than I was expecting and I felt that the pricing was pretty accurate for what I got.

I needed to have my earrings taken out for medical testing and this is a free service if you get your piercings done here. I always slip a tip to the piercer for the effort. They do fabulous tats here too. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve only gone to cactus for one of my tattoos which was a realist angel half sleeve done by Karl. He beyond exceeded my expectations and was able to make the most detailed piece that could meet my budget requirements! the piece is absolutely beautiful, healed extremely well and still looks as good as when I first got it! I have also repeatedly been pierced by Brandon and he’s the best. He gives great advice, makes you feel super comfortable, and offers tips about piercings you are considering in the future. The staff is great, the atmosphere is beautiful, and prices are comparable if not cheaper than other places in Mankato.

I have gotten tattoos and piercings here and I would highly recommend this place. All artists and piercers are talented and professional. Brandon at Cactus Tattoo did my daughters tragus piercing. The whole experience was well above 5 stars. Super professional and knowledgeable. The education we received about her piercing, and piercing in general, was way more than we could have asked for. The environment was super clean and sanitary. The cost was very competitive and worth every penny.

I love them. Ive been there 4 times over the last 4 years. Ive gotten one tattoo from Karl (and a touch up), one tattoo from Makeba and a piercing from Brandon. Everyone has been friendly and informative. And the lady at the front desk has always been nice. Everything has healed just fine without problems. They are way cheaper than most places with their tattoo prices and average with their piercing prices. I love them and I recommend them to everyone! Their shop is clean.

Whenever I get a piercing, I always go to cactus. They are very informative but very relaxed. I have never had a bad experience there.

Years ago, the receptionist at Cactus Tattoo was condescending and unhelpful, but I recently stopped in and they had completely revamped the shop. The receptionist was friendly and eager to help and made me feel comfortable. The piercer, Brandon, has always made me feel welcome and excited for piercings. I love that guy, and I always recommend him.I cant wait to stop in again.

I had a wonderful experience getting a piercing here by Brandon, he was very kind and informative as well as a calming presence while getting my piercing.The only bad thing I can say about the shop would have to be the receptionist as other people have mentioned. She was unfriendly and down right hostile if she felt inconvenienced.

I have been looking forward to getting a tattoo for a long time, and the one place I wanted to get it done at was Cactus Tattoo. My very first time going in to schedule an appointment was a awful experience. The lady behind the counter was horribly rude to my boyfriend and me. It kinda just sounded like she was having a rough day so I didnt add on and be pissy back. When I showed her my tattoo she didnt hesitate to tell me it was going to be $100. Which was absolutely crazy for the size and lack of detail it was. It was a penny size moon, no detail just a line. I asked her if I could change anything about it to make it worth less - like maybe make it even more smaller! She was very stern on the price so I got over it and put down my $50 deposit. Know I could go somewhere else for cheaper I went to other tattoo places and found one that would do it for $40!! I went back in and canceled my appointment and happily went someone else. The women behind the counter wasnt too thrilled to see me come in and cancel my appointment. Im very very disappointed in this store... and staff. No one should spend their money their.

Went in to Cactus Tattoo for a couple of questions regarding piercings & jewelry I had gotten there earlier. Receptionist was incredibly rude and went out of her way to argue with me about the items they had in the store.I asked to see the jewelry they had to offer and was very reluctant to show me anything, leading to more frustration. I have worked many customer service jobs and her behavior went beyond unfriendly and into aggresive. I have exclusively shopped at Cactus Tattoo for years, but will not be returning.Brandon, the main piercer and body modification artist, is incredibly helpful and knowledgable. All my piercings from him have been great, and healed well. Unfortunately, to get to him (or the other artists,) the reception area will most likely be rude and short with you.As great as the service Cactus provides is, dont bother going in because you will be rushed and your questions unanswered leading to getting something you didnt want, or nothing at all. I see other reviews saying similar things about attitude problems and it is very true.

This shop is EXTREMELY over priced and the reciptionsit was very rude. I got a very small tattoo, about the size of a bandaid and it was $100 plus a tip. When I went in to get it touched up (that was free) the receptionist yelled at me when my phone went off too loud and was quite sassy about it. On top of that she was rude when we asked questions like she was expecting us to know exactly how everything worked? Aside from all of that my tattoo artist was very nice, did a great job and had me in and out in a good amount of time.
