Pins and needles told me it would be $7 per nametape rank and badge. Then when I brought my uniforms in they changed it to $9 per nametape because they had to take Velcro off. So I did it myself. They asked when I needed it done by, but did not tell me there would be a rush charge. In total to sew on 10 pieces of cloth it cost me $112Additionally they sewed my rank on both pieces of fabric on the summer top. And on the other top my airborne badge is missing stitching and is crooked. They also sewed my airborne badge upside down after telling me they know how to do uniforms.I suggest they fix their price and/or be transparent on the actual cost. As well as read up on the proper sewing of these badges before they decide to tell customers they know how to do it.
This was my first alteration experience I had here. The ladies were awesome to work with and fixed my bridesmaid dress so it fit perfectly! Friendly people, great service, quality alterations!
I took a swimsuit top to be altered there, it was damaged and I wanted quite a bit done to it, as I have a very difficult time finding swimsuit tops that fit me. They did everything I asked, for a reasonable price, very quickly, and it fits perfectly. Will definitely be taking any more garments I need altered there.
Like walking into my grandmas sewing room. They were so friendly. Attentive. And heat with my daughter and niece. Dresses got taken in within 24 hours. Just amazed!
We have taken all our alterations & zipper repairs here over the years. The zipper broke on my favorite jeans & I asked my husband to drop them off to get fixed. They fixed my jeans on the spot & did it at no charge. This is amazing service & made my day since I didn’t have to wait to get them back. . I highly recommend taking your alterations & repairs to them. Good service & quality work.
Had a problem with a dress arriving on time. Only 12 days left for altering. They got me in same day for fitting. Prices are a bit higher than I wanted, but time is money.
I took my dress in and they said they could fix the underarm where it showed my bra... IT IS AWFUL.. They took a slightly big dress and turned it into something I can’t wear. The neck is flipped out like a tongue and the alterations that were done were not of decent quality especially for the price I paid!! Do not go here!
These ladies do great work!
They ladies were very nice, and did a good job on my dress. But they only did two small alterations and the cost was $183, I think they really have things over priced.
Had a great experience getting a bridesmaid dress hemmed here! It was ready in less than two weeks and was less expensive than I had anticipated. Very pleased with their services and friendly staff! Will definitely be doing back in the future!!
Really liked that it is a local business that I could support. Thought the quality and attention to detail to ensure the clothes laid flat and hung well was great. Ended up being quite a bit more than initially discussed but Im still happy with how everything turned out.
I got my wedding dress altered here and absolutely love it. The ladies did a great job and were quick. Very reasonable price too. I 100% recommend!
The ladies there are outstanding! Friendly and knowledgeable. They are always busy, so they must be doing something right!
We went there to get my daughters dress altered. Nice staff. Great work. Excellent people.
My sisters wedding is in less than a month and I needed last minute alterations for my dress. I called and asked if they had time, they said it would be no problem at all. I brought it in and they had it finished within a week. Best part, it only cost me $22. Great service, cute shop!
They did great work, but the prices are unbelievable. I’m sick to my stomach by the fact that I just paid more in alterations then I did on the dress! I felt like their professionalism was lacking. Mainly with the fact that when you walk in no one really greets you and when they called to let me know the dress was done it was very.. odd. They never said “hey this is so and so from pins and needles” it was a “hi” with a long awkward pause. Again, great work but not worth the money.
A little pricey in my opinion but very good work so I found it completely reasonable. They replaced a zipper on my husbands $300 coat and it looks like new. And it was done FAST. Most alterations places need a week or more and I got the call in like 3 days. Decent parking and easy to access--would come back for sure.
I’ve gone to Pins and Needles for years from simple fixes to alterations of jeans, dresses, curtains etc. I would NOT go anywhere else. The work is high quality and might cost more than others but it’s by far superior. They are timely and meet deadlines even in a pinch and never had any issues. Always recommend to family, friends and strangers! They are excellent!
Absolutely great work done to my wedding dress. Awesome to deal with.
Friendly and professional service
Back in April I had contacted you regarding needing alterations on my wedding dress.I called you in a time crunch. I was leaving for Las Vegas in a few weeks and needed alterations done on my dress.During this time you all were flooded with prom alterations, however, graciously stated you would help me and fix my dress.I brought my dress in on a Monday, and on Tuesday I got a call that it was completed!I was blown away with how beautiful the dress looked. As well as the fact that the alterations were done in one day.I know for a fact your prices are fair and actually very affordable.David’s Bridal up in the cities quoted me 3-500 dollars.Pins and needles only charged me $160.I highly recommend Pins and Needles. These ladies and absolutely wonderful and do amazing and beautiful work!
They did a great job on my alternations but never called me to let me know they were done. I eventually remembered and called them.
:-) Wow!!! The gals at pins and needles helped me out so much. Im actually crying because they saved the day! I had alterations done on a dress elsewhere and it didnt turn out as I wanted. THEN I went to Pins and Needles and they fixed it same day within an hour. Talk about a lifesaver! The price was cheap and they were incredibly nice. I honestly wish I would have went here first. They are absolute professionals and please, please dont believe the poor reviews on here. Thats what held me back at first and Im so upset it turned me away. Its simply not a reflection of their service. Im so happy with the result! They seriously know what theyre doing. 100% recommend this alterations shop. Big hugs to ladies at Pins and Needles!!
I’ve never had anything altered before taking my nice work-slacks to Pins and Needles. I absolutely LOVE how they turned out- perfect length and completely invisible seams. The pants all look 100% professional now, and I will definitely use Pins and Needles again. Great pricing, and I almost feel like I really got a deal. These ladies really know their craft!
Pins and Needles are the ONLY alterations shop I would trust anything to, from small to huge tasks. Theyre all so personable, so talented, totally top notch!! The pricing is SO reasonable and we are very lucky to have them in our communities!!! Their completion turnaround times always exceeds expectations. Im so sorry they are enduring any negativity.
I had my wedding dress done here a few years ago and they did an amazing job and was very reasonable in price with so much work that needed to be done, a couple weeks ago I brought my brides maid dress in that only needed 1/2 inch taken off the bottom, they quoted me around 50$. When I went to pick it up they charged me 150!! Which is way more then I even paid for dress. When I brought this problem up to the ladies that worked there, nobody cared whatsoever. Very VERY disappointed this time around, because of that.. I won’t be back.. my wedding dress was less then that and it needed way more work done then just 1/2 inch taken off the bottom.
I had my leather jacket pocket fixed there and you cant even tell! I thought it was a goner but they saved the day!! You go ladies! They also fixed my sons snow mobile pants and that was a great job too! Will definitely return!
Brought a pair of shorts in that I figured would cost about $15 to sew up, which was better than buying a new pair for $30-$40. It ended up only costing $7 and they were as good as new. Highly recommend.
The expertise these women have with dealing with delicate and dainty fabrics is amazing. They can handle the most delicate jobs. Fair price and excellent service!
They were prompt at answering my emails and very accommodating to my alterations for my wedding dress. When you walk in all the ladies have a smile on their face and are gracious with their feedback when going through the alteration process. This is the 2nd time Ive gone to them and both times they have helped in every way they could!
Never going to Pins and Needles for alterations ever again, they quoted me about $35 and then I went to pick up my bridesmaid dress and it was $91 how did it change that dramatically in pricing!? When they called me and told me the dress was done I asked how much it will be and again they told me $35, I was pretty upset with the amount I had to pay in order to leave with the bridesmaid dress.
In terms of quality this is an amazing place to go to get something altered. I got a dress for my college gala altered here and it turned out beautifully! However, they gave me an estimation of $80 for alterations which was perfect for me, I came in to pick up my finished dress and they ended up charging me $222! I would not have gotten my dress altered had I known that this was going to be the price! This was over 3 times the amount they had estimated for me and over 2 times what I paid for my dress. This is unacceptable.
They did a nice job on hemming and taking in a dress for me in about a weeks time. The staff was friendly and helpful. However it is a bit on the pricy side. I was hoping to pay around $50 or so to get it done quickly, ended up costing $115! But I cant do it myself, having neither the expertise or the equipment, so I have to pay someone. They do a good job, but dont expect it to be cheap.
They were able to get alterations done on a bridesmaids dress for my daughter-in-law-to-be in just 3 days because of a last minute change! Awesome! And since the dress was too small they actually had to steal material from the hem to make it all work. Thank you Pins & Needles!
They fixed grandkids bell dress awesome job they did
Great staff and good turn around times. They made a suggestion for my alterations and it turned out fantastic.
I have gone to Pins and Needles for over 10 years. They did an awesome job on my daughters Prom Dress. The other review criticizes their cost, I would rather have quality work done and pay a higher price than pay someone to do a poor job on my alterations. I have NEVER been upset with anything they have done for me....shortening pants, putting zippers back into coats, etc... I highly recommend them!
Messed up my dress twice and in the third interaction wanted another $70 to fix. No thanks, this was ridiculous. I tried three times to give them an opportunity to correct the dress but each time made it worse.
I have had memory bears made by them and have had alterations done on several items by them. They have always done a wonderful job and made sure everything fit the way it was supposed to. They are the only place I take anything needing alterations!
Ive had work done by the ladies at Pins and Needles on several occasions, and I know some of them personally. The quality of their work is top notch, affordable, and theyre polite and professional. It takes a great deal of skill to do this kind of work, a skill that takes years of experience to develop, and the work itself is often time consuming. When youre paying for custom alterations, youre paying for those years of experience and the time it takes to complete the work.To those leaving negative reviews, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Quality work costs money, and if you werent prepared to pay the price for custom alterations, thats your problem. Going out of your way to try and destroy someones business reputation is downright despicable.
Never been treated so poorly from a business. A close friend had some work done. Quote was for $80 final bill was well over $200. They did the work without getting permission to which is against the law. When I called to find out why. She then got angry and hung up 3 times and then they blocked my number. I then went in to talk like an adult when one of the ladies gently grabbed me and escorted me out. Tried to reason in a professional manner and got nowhere. So I guess a report to the BBB will have to be filed.
After my Mother passed 4 years ago, i gave these ladies a huge project. Memory Bears for 11 of us. The first one to be done was for my father. But it was special. I wanted something embroidered on it for him as a surprise. She rushed it and had the embroidery done in 2 days. The bear for Dad looked great!!! She even made a skirt for it to match the bear. He cried when he saw it. The rest of them were done per the persons taste. These ladies sacrificed a lot of time so we (my family) would have memories of my mom. The bears were done with clothing that she wore and still had her perfume on them. They all turned out SPECTACULAR!! Thank you Ladies of Pins & Needles Alterations!!! Love you all!!!
Good place to go to get your clothes repair
Amazing quality at a very fair price, assuming your mature enough to know that occasionally repairs cost more than what you expect and if you buy clothes 5 sizes to small and expect a tailor to make your fat ass look sexy, a gym may have been a better investment...
Great little business helpful staff all around. Great for when we need something altered or sewn in pinch!
I was extremely disappointed after finding out the price of my SIMPLE bridesmaid dress alterations.. all I needed was the length taken up a bit and the dress brought in, it ended up being 209.00!! Thats well over the price of the actual dress... weddings are expensive enough and I didnt appreciate another $200.. other girls in the wedding paid $15-20, a bit ridiculous..
Will absolutely NOT be returning to Pins & Needles! I paid $150 for simple alterations to a bridesmaids dress, which took over 3 weeks. Would not recommend and will not be a returning customer.
Very accommodating, neat work, polite and helpful
Very welcoming, fixed my zipper in minutes but sat and chatted with the awesome ladies
Great customer service and speedy turnaround time.
Very unhelpful. Even during the consultation. I had pads sewn in a dress for my birthday. They didnt even have me try on the dress when I picked it up to see if it looked right, which it didnt. The pad is visible when Im wearing it on one side. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
I brought in my suit way too close to the date I needed it, but they made it look great! You get what you pay for, and theyre worth ecery penny!
Had them replace zippers on some jackets. Excellent job! Friendly staff.
Why learn to sew when you can just hire a professional? Good work and reasonable rates.
Excellent work, pricey but fast
I brought in my own fabric for three cushion covers to be made. The quality of the work was average at best. The seamstress clearly was not capable of sewing these items properly and in a timely manner which resulted in an exorbinate amount of money for these covers. I could of bought cushions online with Sunbrella fabric at half the cost. Lesson learned!
Did a wonderful job on my jacket
This is an awesome place with great ladies who do HIGH QUALITY WORK!!NOTE TO OTHER REVIEWERS:Yall should be ashamed of yourselves! Do any of you know how much work it takes to alter cloths? I dont! What you view as simple might not be so simple. This is a (from my experience) FANTASTIC shop with great ladies running the show. They make their living off of altering and fixing cloths... This is precision, not mass production. Of course its more expensive than the garmet from Walmart or TJMax because their cloths are mass produced.Furthermore, do any of you have any idea what it costs to run a business?? Theres rent for the building, heating the building, taxes on the location, cost of the machines, cost of employees and all of the expenses that come with them like workmomans comp unemployment insurance and taxes up the rectum...I am sure if their prices COULD be lower, they would LOVE to drop them but they cant. You have two choices:A: buy cloths that fitB: pay a SPECIALIST to make them fit rightPlease note: complain about the cost you chose to pay is not an option.Thank you ladies of Pins & Needles for saving my beloved hoodie, you guys did an AMAZING JOB and should be praised, not hounded or badgered but hey, cant make everyone happy... Someone is always gonna find some reason to complain!
They fixed the straps on my tunnel cover on my truck and saved me from spending money on new ones.
Great service, but kinda spending
Fantastic employees, fast service for alterations
Super friendly and really quick to get my dress hemmed
Great job and quick service
Unhelpful staff. Between the two of them they could not figure of out how to fix my coat, they didnt even know its color or fabric. Save yourself some hassle and go to someone who actually knows something about clothing and alterations. These women are definitely passed any short lived prime they may have had.
Friendly ladies, can get the job done fast if needed.
Great services.
Great
