This Midas is family owned and has saved my tail so many times. My alternator failed a few weeks after the warranty was up - they replaced it at no cost. My temp light was acting up and they looked at it, topped it off the radiator fluid and asked me to come back in a week - no cost. My radiator was busted, again, looked at it for no cost and were friendly when I decided to trade in the car instead of fixing it. Top notch human beings here.

I love coming here, but I have a bmw now and they dont feel comfortable doing anything on it beyond an oil change it seems.But they were always great with my Ford explorer, and my mothers Gmc envoy. You can tell they really care about their employees. Its refreshing.

Overall good experience. Cars always cost more than you would think to fix, but staff was friendly and they fixed my cars exhaust problem in timely matter. I was able to use 30$ off coupon which was nice as well.

I used to bring my vehicle here a lot, but recent years have left my experience less than desirable. I just received new plugs and ignition coil from this place (6 months ago approximately) and need to replace them again. I also had completely replaced my air conditioning unit per their suggestion, however the same problem I was having started again as well. Lastly, in regards to the spark plug problem. I had brought my car in numerous times to them for them to find the problem, it took 3 different times of my car breaking down for them to find it. This was only after I strongly insisted I drive the vehicle with one of their techs in the car with me. This was due to the person on the phone not listening to my complaints about my car. During the drive, i was informed that the work-sheet provided to the mechanic did not list ANY of the problems I was having with my vehicle other than not running right. This is unfortunate since we used to have such good service here. I used to be a long time customer along with my parents. I will not be returning to this shop, I no longer can recommend this place.

Failed before they started...Made an appointment and asked for an estimate before dropping off for Front Brakes & Rotor replacement on BMW. First response from Dennis was that they will provide estimate at appointment. I responded that I want an up front estimate as I know exactly what it needs and if they discover additional work we can discuss that when the brakes are being fixed. Dennis said Mike would call me back with an estimate. Never received the call or the estimate.End of story: Im unsatisfied and they are out the $600+- repair job.

They were able to detect a detail that would’ve otherwise turned into a costly repair (especially had it been on the road), and were able to get the items ordered, delivered and installed the same day. I am certainly not a car guy, but the guys at Midas Maple Grove always take the time to explain the work that needs to be completed, and the work that can be put on the back burner. I have looked at several different shops for a few different projects and this location has consistently been the most reasonable and has always done great work. It is hard to find honest, trustworthy people to do business with, but Mike and Dennis sure fit the bill! Wouldnt take my cars anywhere else.

I needed brake work done, so I took it to Midas. The price Midas quoted me was more reasonable than what Subaru wanted to charge me... Dennis explained everything that needed to be done, and between Dennis & Mike they treated me more than fair. The mechanic did an excellent job too.Thanks guys!

Mike and the lads always do great work, find us savings, and have earned my loyalty over the ~7 years Ive been going to Midas Maple Grove. Between my dad and I, I think they maintain 6 cars for us. Nothing but praise for this top notch team.

Poor scheduling and customer service. Husband made an appointment for 2/12- got there and waited 30 minutes and was told they wouldn’t be able to service us that day and that we would have to reschedule. Told we would receive a $30 discount. Came back 2/14- took them half an hour to take the car back. We found out what we needed and made an appointment for 2/19. I brought the car in early at 9:30 for a 10:00 appointment. Was told we had no appointment. Front desk was absolutely clueless. Someone in the back knew we were coming thankfully. I waiting 45 minutes and they still hadn’t taken my car back. I asked about it and they took it back 5 minutes later. Told it would be 30 more minutes and that was accurate. Going to pay and I was told nobody made us reschedule the first day we came in which was super annoying. The front desk guy said he just “wanted me to leave” and got someone in the back to give me the discount I was promised. Front desk was incredibly rude, clueless and shouldn’t work in the customer service industry. After 3 appointments and a lot of wasted time in the waiting room my car is fixed but my husband and I won’t be back to this location.

Ive never reviewed anyone, and I generally hate auto shops for the obvious reason that most try to take advantage of folks. Ive been going to Mikes shop for a little over a year now, and I dont see that changing for as long as I live here. This has got to be the best shop Ive ever been to. Mike has never been anything but honest and more than fair. His guys do solid work, and actually know what the hell their doing.

This place is awesome! They were so nice and patient, with extremely great customer service. They did a wonderful job, and even did my headlight for free, after finding a problem with my car I hadnt known about & was worried about money. They didnt have to do that and I was so grateful. I recommend this place and will definitely go back.

Made an appointment at this shop for 10 AM to have my rear shocks replaced. I arrived early, 9:30 AM, discussed how long it would take, and what services would be done to the car once it was in the shop. They wanted to completely inspect the car, top off fluids, etc, when I only wanted the rear shocks serviced.I was told on the phone when making my appointment that it would be 1 to 2 hours and the car would be in at 10 AM. I made it abundantly clear on the phone that I needed the car serviced and ready by a specific time when setting up my appointment. The guy on the phone said it wouldnt be a problem.I was then informed You know this is a drop off right? (This should have never happened.) Another guy came out of the back and suggested 3-4 times that he said it was a drop off, however when I spoke to him on the phone he made it clear the car would be ready once I dropped it off within those two hours.With Midas, I suppose you have different types of service appointments compared to other mechanics. Apparently, you drop the car off and then come pick it up whenever they decide to get around to finishing the work on the car. It could be 1 to 2 hours, it could be 4 hours. I was told that my car would go in at 10, but they would pull guys off my car to go work on others, and they had no clue when it would be finished. If this is how they operate, then what is the point of making an appointment with them then?If you want your time wasted, choose this unprofessional shop. Ill stick with more professional mechanics, like Youngstedts who honor appointment windows and my time.

Best shop Ive found in a long time. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and low pressure. Oil changes are the cheapest Ive ever found and Midas discounts are automatically applied.Also, one of the few repair places that has the equipment to do exhaust welding. They saved me quite a bit of money when a mesh manifold disintegrated.

I had awful service. Dropped my car off at 8am for an oil change and asked how long it would take, a few hours I was told. I called at 3pm cause I hadnt heard anything and they told me they havent even had a chance to look at my car. They called me back 30 minutes later and listed all the things that needed to be done on my car and prioritized them, which was nice. However, when I asked some questions about the work that needed to be done, the worker was very short and eventually he said he had to go now because he had other work to do. I thought this was extremely rude, especially when I still had questions about the work my car needed (cracked serpentine belt, wheel bearings, brakes, and tire problems) - which I ended up taking my car to a different shop and they told me all I needed was new tires. I decided to get some additional work done which they recommended doing that day, but then they asked me if I needed my car the following day because they might not have enough time to work on it. They ended the conversation saying we will try our best to finish it by the time we close. They close at 6 and they called me at 545 informing me that the work on my car was finally finished. I expected better and faster service, especially since I dropped my car off at 8am.Update: About a week after posting the review the manager contacted me and apologized for the service I received so I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars.

We have five vehicles and have tried a number of auto repair shops, but non compare to Midas in Maple Grove. Mike and the guys at Midas most recently replaced the rear struts and did a front end brake job for our 2007 Camry. Mike always proactively finds coupons available to give us the best price possible and provides a high-quality, timely service experience. Great value and great service!

When you go to an auto shop, you want to be treated fairly and given honest opinions on your ride. Stop looking for a better shop. Youve found it. Mike and Dennis run the front of house and will take the time to explain everything, no matter how small of job. Ive been going to MGs Midas for years. YEARS. Ive even called them over the phone to get advice on some unusual symptoms Ive experienced on my car. That goes above and beyond customer service. You cant go wrong here. I recommend calling about a week in advance to get scheduled, and make sure you mention if you plan to drop the car or wait in their lobby. Also, free Wifi! That is all. Again. Stop looking, just go here and see for yourself.

We brought our older car in to get some idea where the oil leak is coming from. They used a dye to follow the leaks and we fixed what we could afford this time and will go back to get the others done later. The staff was courteous and called when they had information for us and did not make us call them.

They are always booked about a week out, which is a good sign. Their service was excellent and fast. Their prices were reasonable and they didnt try to upsell me for things I didnt need.

Heres the real deal, folks! If you live anywhere near MG, you go here! Friendly, honest & more than reasonable. Everyones great, including Mike, of course. Ive been going here for a few years, I wish I wouldve found them earlier. Fix what you need, tell you about things you might/will need, without ANY pressure. They run through a relatively thorough checklist for free, every time you go in. We chased down a rattle after an oil change one day. Mike printed out manufacturer recall information for me once. Theyve checked things out for free. Whole staff seems eager to please.They really should give training classes to the dealers.

Oil change comes with complimentary tire rotation If they deem it needed, not as requested(35k miles on). Would not take my coupon because its already on sale at 49.99 typically at 69.99 0w20...really? Id rather go to a dealership which is cheaper and have a much better multipoint inspection. Had to make a 2nd trip because they incompletely filled out my Lyft/Uber inspection form! Avoiding it like the PLAGUE

I had oil change, tires rotated, one tire repaired, and a couple other minor items done, on 11/05/2013.I Went here on the recommendations of others and was not disappointed.The staff was humble, courteous and professional.They gave me coupons that I didnt know about, and didnt recommend unnecessary work.GOOD JOB!

I brought my vehicle here a total of 5 times for two problems. It would take much too long to detail the entire story for either repair. In the end, both repairs were completed to my satisfaction, but it was a challenge.Mike is a great guy and is trying very hard. Everything in the reviews about doing only the repair you brought it in to do is true. Also the effort to keep prices low was noted. However, it seems they have a reluctance to dig in and really find the problem (maybe because they are afraid of doing work that would cost a lot). It seems like they are understaffed.The repairs I had done were outside of the usual Midas work of brakes, mufflers, shocks, and oil change. I think if you stick with those you probably would have better luck than I did. I may be the exception to the norm here, but after getting burned twice I cant give them my recommendation and I wont be back.

I go here for my oil changes every time and also if anything seems wrong. They let me know whats wrong with it and what needs to be done. I never have to second guess them or look for another opinion. They do everything in a timely matter. Mike and Dennis and all of they mechanics there are amazing at what they do! I just moved to Maple Grove last month and my car was making a noise like a nail on a chalk board. My fiance said it was my break pads, but didnt have time to take my car in for me and said I should do it so I can learn... haha I wanted him to do it, because you all know the stigma with women who know nothing about cars, bringing their car in to get fixed, and getting screwed over with prices. Anyway, the gentlemen at Midas were so nice, and never made me feel stupid for not knowing anything about cars. They answered all my crazy questions and explained everything that was happening with my car and what they were going to do to it before they started anything. The price was not outrageous and was about average with other places. There was a couple things wrong with my car other than the breaks, and they told me the priority of things i should get fixed and what could probably wait a bit longer. They were so honest and great to work with. I highly recommend them and would definitely go back.

I was in to get a quote on brake repair. They gave me a quote. Scheduled the next week, and I have had no issues. This is changing my perception of chain repair shops. Will be back when we need maintenance performed.

I had originally brought my car to H1 Honest Auto Care in Maple Grove for a major coolant leak. They charged me $770 to fix the leak and then told me the head gaskets were bad and needed to be replaced for an estimate of $2,200. So I wanted a second opinion, I saw that the Midas in Maple grove was highly rated and was curious to see what they could do.I brought my car to Midas in Maple Grove for an inspection and they found A.) H1 Auto Care did not fix the coolant leak, and was basically bone dry when I brought it in. B.) The head gaskets were not bad as I was told by H1 and C.) They found other issues where H1 Auto Care basically made the issue worse.Mike, the owner at the Midas in Maple Grove took care of all the issues I was dealing with – his customer services skills are absolutely top notch. Everyone there I had talked to and dealt with is friendly and professional. They explained everything in a clear and concise manner while fixing the coolant leak and water pump for less than what I had paid at H1 Auto Care all together. HIGHLY recommended to anyone who is looking for a friendly, trustworthy and affordable repair shop. These guys know what they are doing – will be taking my car back here every time.

I WOULD NEVER recommend anybody to go here for anything to be done on their car. I am actually stunned to see all these good reviews. My entire family has come here thinking that everytime oh it’s just a fluke and they’ll do better this time. We have had 5 cars for 5 different issues go in there and each time the issue was worse than when it was brought in. I had an issue with my car randomly dying on me, brought it into the shop they made up some reasons on the issue charged me labor and I bought the piece they said was failing.. turns out that wasn’t the issue, brought it in 2 more times with them saying it was good and eventually confessing they couldn’t figure it out and the issue was worse than when I brought it in.. was not going to leave a review thinking it was just bad luck, but another family member went in with a squeaking noise in their car and when they got it back it was worse.. she has had to go in 3 times for them to fix their mistake. If you want to waste your time and money then this is the place for you. Extremely disappointed.
