The best shop weve ever been to. Super professional and honest. Two traits that are hard to find separate much less together at an auto shop. Always able to work around drop off and pick up for us. I wouldnt suggest anyone else.
The technician was awesome to work with and the shop did a great job quickly fixing my car. It was quick, affordable and high quality! Will use them again!
There is a story behind this 5 star review. My wife tried out Automotive Experts of Maple Valley because it was closer than any of the dealerships in this area. We went to them for a fluid check, and brake replacement. Had our differential fluid filled, rear brakes and rotors replaced. After we got the car back the bolts unthreaded on the rear calipers. We called them immediately. They didnt fuss, they didnt deny. They apologized and went out of their way to collect the vehicle at their expense. Bring it back to the shop and not only fix the areas wed asked them to repair, but replaced our front rotors and brakes free of charge because the tech redoing the work noticed a little shimmy in the handling of the vehicle. Our car runs better than it ever has. Rattles we just assumed were part of the vehicle are gone now. This place gets 5 stars from me for the way they took responsibility and immediately took action to not only correct the repairs wed asked them, but to go beyond and fix things as a courtesy that they didnt need to touch. That speaks to the character of the techs and the owner. That type of customer service reflects on the leadership and doctrine that is behind the business. Well be back. If youre in the Maple Valley area this place is worth looking into.
Wonderful staff, wonderful work! They fixed up my car and he drives great now! Allan is a great guy and answered all the questions I had!
My experience at Automotive Experts was great! We had our GMC Acadia towed down to there shop to have them figure out why we had a few warning lights on. It was dropped off on a Tuesday morning and by that afternoon we received a call letting us know that our battery was 100% dead and not coming back lol. They asked If we were ok with purchasing a new one so they could install it and further diagnose any issues. We agreed and they went back to work. Less than an hour later they called again and explained that a vacuum port had worked itself loose, automatically turning on the check engine light and turning off the stabili-trac. (Which were the exact two warning lights that were on). They re-connected it, test drove it and decided that was it... We were told e could come pick it up that same day and that there would be no charge except for the battery. So in summary they are Quick, efficient, honest, transparent and truly there to help you get you vehicle fixed! If you need some work done I 100% suggest visiting Automotive Experts!
I feel pretty discouraged as I have done a decent amount of business with Automotive Experts of Maple Valley in the past. A week ago I called as I had spent a lot of money to get my vehicle repaired here back in April of 2020. When I called them last week it was because my car was having the same problem. It’s been less than a year and a half so it still should have been under warranty which states 24 months on my paperwork. I see they have revised their warranty time frame a few months after I had work done on my car. I believe it is now just a twelve month warranty. When I had my car fixed in April of 2020 it came with a two year warranty. When I called to try to get my car in last week about the same problem I was told they were short handed and they couldn’t get my car in until this week, which put me in a bad position as I had to take it elsewhere and spend another costly amount to have it fixed again. It seems anymore a lot of businesses use the covid excuse for delays and I do understand people do get sick, but at the same time I spent a lot of money here on this issue and feel pretty agonized that I just had to spend another costly amount taking my car elsewhere as I had the impression they were too short handed to honor the work done 15 months ago that was still under warranty. When I called last week it sounded as if they already had too many other jobs to take care of and it seemed unpredictable as to when they could get my car fixed.
This place is honest, good to there word, and go above and beyond for your service and expectations. Dropped my Jeep off for the U-joints to be done and to get it checked for other work. They called me same day, letting me know of cost, and what else I needed done. I approved. Unfortunately, someone broke in and stole the wheels and tires off of my Jeep! The repair took another week, but they went above my expectations by replacing my wheels and tires with what I had, and covered the cost of the repair, I did not expect all of that from them. Just picked up my Jeep and sure enough, still costed me nothing. I would recommend this place to anyone based off of my service!
Its hard to find an honest auto mechanic these days. My whole life growing up I took full advantage of the fact that my dad was a helicopter mechanic for a decade and is now an aerospace engineer. Very mechanically inclined ro say the least. Me on the other hand - not so much.I visited these guys to have them diagnose and fix an issue I created by running gas that had water in it through the fuel tank which damaged my fuel injectors. They chargeme to replace one... car ran good for a few weeks then back to the same issue. We pulled everything apart to discover they didnt change any of the injectors and I know this because there was overspray of paint on all my old ones and what do you know - these all had overplayed on them still. My old man contacted them to see if theyd explain or come clean and they just hurled insults at him. Not knowing his background that he designs engines for a living they tried to give him an explanation that was meant to take advantage of someone who doesnt know anything. Also incorrect. Most of the clientele of this place is well off maple valley residents with extra money to throw away who wont know the difference and will be ripe to take advantage of which is probably the only reason they are still in business. Find another shop.
This is the best-run shop Ive ever worked with. They are honest, and really want whats best for their customers. They are skilled and resourceful troubleshooters--they dont just throw new parts at a problem (which would be expensive for the customer).I dropped my hybrid off to have an electrical issue fixed, and even though I thought the issue was with a cooling pump, the owner recommended that I have them perform a diagnostic first, just to be safe. In the end, they determined my issue would need to be fixed by the dealership due to the specifics of the hybrid system, but they didnt charge me a dime for the diagnostic. Besides that, they could have easily replaced the pump and charged me for something that wouldnt have fixed my issue, but they did the due diligence to make sure I didnt waste my money.During the same visit, they also diagnosed a separate issue with my fuel system and determined that it was low-priority and not worth fixing at this point. Again, they could have let me spend money on something unnecessary, but they didnt, and they also didnt charge me for diagnosing the issue.Automotive Experts is definitely my first choice for anything auto-related.
Diagnosed everything perfectly with ease! Allan was great and helped me with everything very professionally, definitely will be back
I had some work done on my Fusion, days before a transcontinental trip. After my journey began, there were problems related to the repair. Despite that, the guys from Automotive Experts were 100% helpful in working with another repair facility to get my car back up and running again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable repair and post repair support.
I took my old truck here to fix a leaking water pump and a minor tune up. The work was done professionally, on time, and at the quoted price. They took the time to discuss with me the status of my old truck and what things were in good shape, and what I should watch. They treated me and my old beat up truck as if I had brought in a Lexus. This is my new home for all my auto repairs!
Fair prices and did the work on time
Automotive Experts have always been fair and have taken care if my old car for years. I would recommend then to any and everyone. 1st class
Had the brake system flushed and filled on my wifes SUV. Not too long after the service was completed, the vehicle threw some codes pertaining to the brake system. Upon further investigation, one of the brake bleeders was left loose and leaking. Besides the huge mess under the vehicle, this was a potentially dangerous mistake. Very disappointed. Luckily I caught the leak early and corrected it myself. If my family had lost brake function on the freeway this may be an entirely different review. The service manager was notified and he seemed apologetic but it does not excuse this type of mistake in my book. Something as basic and safety critical as bleeding brakes should be done correctly 100% of the time at a repair shop. Period.
Often its hard to trust auto repair shops. And even harder to get the work done in a timely, complete and successful way. I went to see Automotive Experts of Maple Valley based upon other reviews I had read. I was impressed with the patience and focus of the owner to both understand and answer my questions. He answered every question I had on a variety of automotive issues. Very up front with the estimate and made for an enjoyable experience. I will return for more work and highly recommend their service.
In an industry known for ripping people off, these guys have integrity. Let me tell you 2 stories. The first time I walked in to this shop I told them to replace the front and back brakes on my car. I had been told by another shop that they were all worn down. I got a call from them the next day telling me the back brakes were fine. They replaced the front brakes but wanted to check with me before replacing something that didnt need it. Thats right. They turned down work I had told them to do in order to save me money.Just this weekend I dropped off my wifes car because it was making an awful squeaking sound. Im aware this is typically because of loose belts and that it isnt that hard to fix, but I dont want to mess with it. They fixed it at no charge. Let me say that again: an automotive repair shop did work on a car and charged me nothing. Not even 30 minutes of labor. Nothing.Go in and ask Allan to take a look at your car. Good news or bad news, at least you know hes not lying to you.
My daughter and I have counted on Eric and Glenn (and their team at Wilderness Auto) for nearly all our auto service repairs. Theyve never let us down. As a single mom, having reliable, trustworthy folks I can count on is invaluable. Definitely recommend.
The brakes on my 2011 Toyota Sienna has been pulsating for 5 years. It only pulsate when braking above 40mph. We took it to 2 different Toyota dealerships and other repair shops. None was able to figure it out. I tried replacing the brake pads and rotors. That fixed the problem briefly for a short period.I took my van to these guys and explained to them the problem. They figured it out. It was due to damaged front struts. Front rotors were warped from overheating due to pressure created by broken struts. Our rear suspensions were damaged also. Too much off-roading with a vehicle not built for it. 😀After knowing the causes I could have fixed them myself, but decided to have them fixed it for me. They fixed it all for $2000.
Great company location. Professional and friendly staff!
Quick, friendly service. Diagnosed and solved the issue at minimal cost and in only a few hours. This is my new repair shop.
Very professional and knowledgeable people. Trustworthy and willing to inform customers. I will be bringing all my vehicles to them from here on out. I highly recommend Automotive Experts for all diagnosis and repair issues.
Great service. Great warranty. Great people!!
The owner is outstanding! A very popular place because of the awesome service and quality of work. Even though its busy the owner makes time for you and listens with his undivided attention. Did specil work changing my transmission fluid due my enclosed system. I called later that week because my check engine light started blinking. He said bring it in lets see whats going on...I brought my car in and he ran diagnostics on it. It showed my car was misfiring. So he could have easily said we will have to work on instead he was very honest and said I dont notice a misfire but keep an eye on it and let me know if the engine light stays on. Another mechanic could easily have had me spending hundreds on a job...
They got me in right away for a broken motor mount. They gave me a quote and fixed it the same day. Most motor mounts require more than one being replaced at the same time but they were honest about only one needing replacement. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism! Thats hard to find with mechanics!
The guys at this shop are the best of the best! I know absolutely nothing about cars, and they have never made me feel taken advantage of like other places. They are super honest and fair. Wouldnt take my car anywhere else! Thanks guys! :)
I’ve shuffled through a few different automotive shops in the area and started to dread the experience as it always seemed to be negative.Until, of course, I found this place! The staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and always a pleasure to work with. Prices are reasonable and they never try to push unnecessary services at me. Highly recommend this shop, they’ve got my service as long as they’re here.
I was very pleased with the fair price, quality work, and friendly staff at Automotive Experts. I had my timing belt, transmission drain and filled, coil replaced, thermostat, water pump, and spark plugs serviced. My car runs great now and the engine light is off, I have driven over 300 miles since the service and all is good! Thanks guys :)
Awesome shop and great people ! Quality work, would recommend them to anyone
I have taken several of my cars to Automotive Experts over the years. They have always provided good service and communicate though out the repair. I have been to other repair shops and feel like they search for other things that need to be addressed. I never know if they are just up selling me. I have not felt that pressure from Automotive Experts.
I really trust these guys. I brought my car in & told them the brakes needed to be replaced. They called and told me I still had a good 12k left. Not often do you find such an honest mechanic. This is the place I take all my car needs to now. (Plus they can do a quick oil change)
These guys were awesome!! First time I used them— got my vehicle done quick and did a great job!!! I am definitely coming back!!
The shop got me squeezed into their busy schedule in a time of need. Fair price and so far a good job. I will go back when needed. Thanks to Allen.
I took my car on Thursday to get it looked at my check engine light was on. The mechanic was on vacation and couldn’t fix it until Monday. They did a quick analysis that it had a leak. I said no problem I’ll come back Monday. I made an appointment for Monday and came on time. I said hello I’m here for my appointment the mechanic said nope nope not able that’s fix it until Wednesday. I said I was told today. I have an appointment he said nope sorry I don’t want to work on your car and to leave. The man next him knew I was nice enough to come back and was so floored he shook his head down and didn’t know what to do or say About a few hours later I received an apology from the mechanic that he was out of line and very unprofessional. I said ok thanks I hung up. I would never go back here what if my car wasn’t working and I towed it here. The other man who saw this must have told the owner and the mechanic forced to apologize. Be warned. The mechanic is a Loose canon. To make another thing clear my car check engine light was on since no gas cap on my car. Sign for check engine went off and the new mechanic charged me nothing Be warned
I was extremely happy with my service here. Twice I have come in with what I thought was going to be a big dollar repair, but they honestly assessed the issues as small repairs. The honesty and professional service have insured that I will always bring my cars here.
They are amazing!! And vary helpful
I was very pleased with timeliness and customer service. My sedan wouldn’t start, and within two days they identified the problem, ordered the part, fixed it, and explained everything to me clearly. I’d return in the future.
Great professional service and honesty! They were very transparent on what was needed and extremely knowledgeable in the communication of the issues. Very pleased with our experience!
Ive taken our cars to Automotive Experts for several years, each time feeling totally comfortable with high quality work and customer experience. Most recently, warranty work on a failed power steering was taken care of with no concerns. Thanks to John and the team.
From the minute I called to make an appointment, throughout the entire process, Ira and the technicians at Automotive Experts of Maple Valley were wonderful. Ira was so friendly and courteous and he answered all of my questions and was very helpful. I dropped my Mazda MPV off in the morning to have the AC checked and by that afternoon it had been inspected and serviced and was ready for me to pick up. Ira called me after the inspection to let me know what the problem was and to tell me how much it would cost to fix it and when I picked it up later that day the price quoted was the price I paid. Van AC is colder than ever and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs work done. Thanks so much for the fabulous service.
THIS PLACE IS AS BAD AS IT GETS! Im really not sure how they are still open. Brought my car here because my check engine light was on. I get a ride home from the owner Grace, who is nice but seems mentally questionable in my book. I get a call later on from Rich and he tells me that I have multiple problems with my car that are causing the light. Thats kind of weird, the light just came on 2 days ago and youre telling me that 3 different sensors all seemed to have failed at once? After asking a couple questions about that he pretty much had the attitude that if you dont want to spend any money to FIX the car to come pick it up and stop wasting his time. Well, since I had emissions coming up I really needed the car fixed so I gave them the go ahead on the $1200 worth of repairs. Three days later the light came back on, awesome. Went back and they told me that another part was bad and must have happened in the last few days, another $350 fix. Took my car to another shop in the area and got my car fixed for $160. The other shop said it looked like someone else just tried replacing everything in the system, no that was Automotive Experts spending my money. Light has been off for over 6 months now and no problems. This place has really went downhill in the last couple years. Dont waste your hard earned money here, theres plenty of other GOOD shops in the area.
One of the easiest oil changes I have ever had they were great!
Great customer service, got my truck finished faster than anywhere else and great communication. I am a loyal customer after my experiences here.
Quick repairs and friendly/knowledgeable employees. They will answer any questions you have about the work that needs to be done to help you really understand what is going on with your vehicle.
I took my high mileage 2005 Toyota Corolla in for a transmission knock. I received a very comprehensive diagnosis and the service rep was very knowledgeable about my situation and more than willing to provide me with advice about making the repairs or start looking for another vehicle. I would use this repair shop again.
They were on time, courteous and professional. I will use them again.
Highly recommend.
Ask for Andy as your mechanic. He knows his stuff.
Great service, friendly staff, and most importantly very fair prices. Would highly recommend.
I called to get an appointment. No one called back
Great shop! The guys know cars inside and out. Always receive great service and friendly support.
Paid over $300 to find out the wifes PT cruiser had low compression and would need a new engine which wouldnt even be worthwhile. I understand that the PT cruiser is a horrible design and a lot has to come off to check the compression but $300 seems a little steep. Im not sure if Im ever coming back here.
Great honest local shop. Fast and reasonably priced service. Highly recommended.
I went into AE and got service as they researched well, had good standing. I had a problems after the fact with a seemingly related issue. They took care of it and have been great on follow up service.
Good service
Weve taken our car here several times. Customer service, honesty, and work is excellent. When they replaced our CV joints and the part turned out to be bad, they replaced it at no cost.
Friendly staff. They wouldnt do work on my car and told me that it was time to junk it instead of wasting my time and money. They didnt charge me since they couldnt fix it. They gave me advice on where to go from here. Happy with my experience there.
I always feel like I can trust you guys to be honest with me, and the work is always done quickly and with quality, for a fair price. Since the first time I came there and thought I had something more expensive wrong with my car, and you could have sold me that fix, but instead made the much less expensive fix. You really earned our business. Thanks!
Automotive Experts does not know how to change rear wheel bearings in the Ford Explorer. I took my Explorer in to have the two rear bearings changed. They quoted $800 but then they decided they needed to replace a bunch of other parts and by the time that it was done the total came to $1500. Unfortuantely, one bearing promptly failed after 30,000 miles (they should not fail that early). They were good to fix that under warranty but it failed again in 20,000 more miles. The other failed after 40,000. At that point they refused to fix anything under warranty but happily offered to replace them for $650.The net result is that I had to take my car to Valley Automotive & Electric and have them replace both bearings again since Automotive Experts couldnt do the job right.
Thank you sooo!!!! Much!! The guy at the front desk was amazing!!!
This shop is great
Attentive, responsive, and helpful.
I won’t take my Subaru anywhere else. Allen is always attentive and friendly- and the work is always done quicker than I expect!
Great service, honest recommendations and reasonable price.
Honest, fairly priced, and fast I will definitely be a return customer
Changed tires and fixed my breaks in under four hours for a fair price. Im definitely happy with them.
This is a great local auto repair shop in the Maple Valley, Kent-Covington, and Issaquah, WA. Very happy when I take any one of my vehicles there. They have done lots of work on my S-10, our Toyota Mini Van, my Toyota Prius and also our old Willys Jeep. Feel confident in this local shop!
Standard oil change. Saved a couple bucks with a coupon on the back of my QFC reciept.
Courteous, great follow up and prices.
Expensive but absolutely very nice customer service
Great service fast and fair
Deceptive. Racked up services and labor without communication. Bill came out 4x higher than quoted. They applied a small discount and said sorry.
Good staff, in great order.
Most honest and straightforward shop Ive ever worked with. Exceptional service! The owner runs it with integrity. They never upsell you, they just give you an honest assessment, provide options and let you decide. I highly recommend this garage.
