Outstanding knowledge and quality of work. Easy to work with! Best wrenches in town.
Ive been taking my cars to Wilderness Auto Service for over 10 years and have never had them do a bad job. Theyve taken on easy tasks (fix a light out) to replace the transmission in my wifes van, and have always delivered a quality job for a reasonable price. I trust them with all my vehicles and highly recommend them!
Good and timely service. Reasonably priced.
These guys and gals exceeded all my expectations. I had a lot of issues with my car and I was unsure what I should do. I also had an emergency and had to leave town and was unable to pick up my car in a timely manner. The whole time Glenn and Wilderness Auto Service were patient, honest, offered me afforded choices and truly looked out for my best interest and got me taken care of in a jiffy. I felt heard and had complete confidence with them. There are not many places left like this and I am proud they are part of our Maple Valley Family.
8/10/21. Some more work on my car - I am grateful that Glen gave me an honest assessment regarding the brakes on my car. As it turned out; I dont need new brakes for another 6 months or so, and this saved me a fair amount of money. I will continue to use Wilderness Auto. They do quality work at a very reasonable price. - D BertrandUnfortunately, I am not at all a car guy; so the process of asking for help on auto repairs is normally one of frustration. That said, Glenn was very helpful and showed patience in giving me a choice of what to have fixed, and what could wait until a later date. The cost of the tune up on my VW Jetta was in line with what I was originally quoted - and am grateful for that. I spent more than what I originally hoped to, but you get what you pay for, and am glad that my car is now in good shape to run smoothly for the next few years. Incidentally, now that Ive driven it for the last week or ten days, I do see a noticeable improvement in the cars acceleration.
Highly professional and prompt with repairs needed on our vehicles. We have used them for all 3 of our vehicles and have never left unsatisfied. Great work, efficient and they pay attention to details.
Had my rear brakes worked on. They gave me an estimate of both schedule and cost and met both. I appreciate the professional attitude and integrity. I will be back.
Very unprofessional and liar sitting at U-Haul desk save yourself headache rent at other locations. They will never communicate if they dont equipment available for you untill you show up.
I have used wilderness chevron services several times and it was always a positive and pleasant experience. I received friendly and quick help and full information on my car issues which helped me make the best financial choices.
Wilderness Auto Service is awesome! We have an older suburban that needed some repairs. Great customer service. Communicated throughout the process and our vehicle was fixed up when they estimated it would be done. I would recommend giving them a try if you have vehicle issues!
I have been taking my 99 Ford Contour to Wilderness Auto for more than ten years and Ive always been pleased with my service. Eric, Glen and the other staff have made customer service satisfaction their number one priority and have been willing to go above and beyond to help me out. Their service and parts are high quality and Id highly recommend them for auto repair and maintenance. Its hard to find an auto mechanic that you trust, but I definitely trust Wilderness Auto Service with my vehicles.
Always done right the first time. Quality professional services
Glenn is fantastic and Im sure does incredible work. However, if he isnt there, dont expect anyone to be able to help you. And their hours may look generous online, but anyone with authority is only there Monday - Friday on normal business hours. When they said I couldnt grab my car on a Saturday because it wasnt written up during the week and I said it said they were open the lady literally said to me well you cant believe everything you read online. Like, its YOUR website that says it.
We rented a U Haul, but we also saw that the mechanics were quite capable and efficient in their work. Some independent car dealers were having vehicles serviced, which is a sign of quality work.
These are the good guysWhere I used to live, I had an unbelievably wonderful mechanic named Randy. Since moving here 9 yrs ago, I have been frustrated by not being able to find someone who is as knowledgeable, skilled, honest, and fair as Randy, and who can explain things in a way that I can understand. Well, I think Ive finally found my new Randy! Eric was very clear about the issues my car is having, and was honest with me about the risks of leaving certain things unaddressed due to the fact that we will be replacing the car in the near future. I will be going back to Wilderness Auto in the future.
I have found them very honest.
My story with Wilderness Auto Services begins with at the Honda Dealership. I took my vehicle to the Honda Dealership for routine maintenance and to diagnose a problem I was experiencing with my car horn. The routine service was rushed and never checked any of my cars fluids. For $200 bucks, they confirmed that my car horn doesnt work... Go figure... and said that they MIGHT be able to fix it for another +$1,400 by replacing the MICU.I told the Honda Dealership to Go Fish, knowing that they were ripping me off. Not long after, I was referred to Wilderness Auto Service. I was told to speak with Glenn. Before stepping foot into their service, Glenn was able to tell me more about my 2010 Honda CR-Vs history than I knew. He gave me rough estimates on cost and I was going to pay less than half what Honda would have charged. The electronic report I received of my service was very detailed. I got accurate information on all my cars fluid levels, tires, and a proper diagnosis of my cars horn. Turns out, it had nothing to do with the MICU! Wilderness Auto Service expedited the parts to fix the horn, and to top it off, they polished my dashboard.I would refer everyone to utilize Wilderness Auto Service over any dealership. They are PROS when it comes to quality service.
Glen and the guys at Wilderness have taken very good care of us. We found them about 4 years ago and they have taken care of our fleet. We wish they could take care of all of our needs but our guys take the trucks home and sometimes need to get services local to their homes. When we take our trucks in to Wilderness, they are always timely, they communicate the investment I am making on Maintenance, they complete when they say they will, and everyone is great! We had an engine put into an old step van and it runs like a top now. Thanks to Glen and all who work at Wilderness.
Very professional and good quality work.
I have been having all our cars serviced here for 12+ years and have always received great service. I would highly recommend and have never felt as comfortable taking my cars anywhere else.. i have always trusted the staff to perform service and repairs on my vehicles. High level of service and have always been treated as a valued customer.
The always friendly and busy staff at wilderness Auto service are much appreciated. I buy my diesel gas here but most of all it is convenient for getting my propane tanks filled. Ive had my truck serviced at this particular location and I was very pleased with the service and the batteries that they installed in my truck. This is definitely a must-stop heading through Maple valley if you need gas or diesel or are in search up feeling your propane
Outstanding service from a knowledgeable team. The crew provides honest assessments of your auto problem and suggests alternate fixes when warranted. They always live up to warranty claims. Their free auto pickup and delivery service is also greatly appreciated.
Every time I have ever had to bring a vehicle in for service they have been great. Good atmosphere, easy to understand any issues or what they were going to do to my vehicle. And getting gas or propane is a snap. Thanks for all the tempting treats inside too.
Good, honest mechanics are hard to find. Look no further than Wilderness. Ive taken 2 vehicles to Wilderness based on Google Reviews and have not been disappointed.
Ive been using Wilderness Auto exclusively for oil changes and repairs for the last 10 years. These guys do a fantastic job, are reasonably priced, and I believe as straightforward and honest as youll find. I wont go anywhere else for auto maintenance and repair.
This place is the best! Glenn and the crew know their stuff inside and out. Ive always been treated well, especially on the final price! Long time customer, Ill be back!
Walked in at 450 and rented a uhaul. Went to go pick up my buddy to drive the Uhaul at my apartment complex and came back at 530 to the tick being locked behind a gate and them saying its not there problem they close at 5pm. No one mentioned that when I was renting the truck 10 minutes prior to that time they just handed me the keys and said you know where the lot is and I said yup! Then they proceeded to get angry that I was upset and started getting noticably frustrated. Seems as tho they have 17 year olds working there with Mom.
Glenn is a guru. Anyone who knows anything about auto mechanics would easily realize how knowledgeable and honest he is. Ive used several mechanics over the years and have yet to find anyone as good as he is. They are family owned which is another plus. I recommend them to everyone.
Excellent at diagnosis
Weve been customers of this shop for a long time, about 17 years since weve lived in Maple Valley. My car had an issue with the starter (I knew this because the only to way to start it was to knock on the starter) and so instead of shopping around I had it dropped off at their shop. They told me it would be 4 days before they could get it into the shop. So after waiting 4 days with no vehicle and being forced to pay $100+ for a rental during this time they finally got it into their shop. However, it wasnt in the shop until late that night. Communication was minimal but they did leave me a voicemail the next day letting me know it was done.SIDE NOTE:This part is my fault partially because I didnt see the voicemail but I called in on Friday night after (wrongly) thinking they hadnt contacted me and the phone was picked up by a lady working there. I asked her about whether my car had begun repairs yet and after a while of being on hold she said she couldnt find the work order and that the repairs couldnt begin until I came in to fill one out again.END OF SIDE NOTEOnce I stopped by on Saturday morning they let me know (no prior communication) that they figured the problem wasnt with the starter but something to do with my battery, which they replaced and charged me close to $200. I drove my car off the lot and took it to Seattle where it promptly stopped working again. When I tried to start it to drive home it had the exact same symptoms as before. At this point I took it back to tell them and a different mechanic tells me it will be ANOTHER 4 DAYS before they can get me in again to ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. I showed him again how I had to bang on the starter and at that point he acknowledged its a common problem and only a couple hours to fix. Finally I take my car to a different shop that is able to get me in that day and the issue is resolved and Im leaving with my fixed car within 3 hours.Ultimately the shop didnt do anything to try and right this wrong and I was very disappointed.
Staff and service is great.
The team at Wilderness Auto has always provided us with dependable service at a reasonable price. My familys been going there for at least 15 years without any bad experiences.
Got my Suburban in tip top shape for our upcoming trip.
The guys work hard to make things right. So happy with the service that I receive every time I visit.
Excellent Customer service! Glen kept us well informed on what he and his crew found wrong with our car, as well as keeping the cost in mind.
Best experience Ive ever had taking my car anywhere Glenn was so understanding and easy to work with the young men that work there are so professional we will always take our cars here!
My first experience in reaching out to use your service was very unpleasant. I would encourage you to find a more professional and approachable person to answer your incoming calls. The woman who answered the phone was very put out by the question of ‘ good morning how are you’ she paused for a considerable enough time to make it uncomfortable before she responded in a very miserable tone ‘fine’. Next when explaining our need for service she interrupted and said rudely ‘we aren’t open today only the fuel station is open with a couple of boys here to plug tires.” When we mentioned that it might be nice that you clarify that on-line’ she once again used a very condescending soft voice with intent of being snide and said ‘ooookkkkk, bye’ and hung up. I will never come to your repair shop in the future. That might seem insignificant to you with the customer base you have but I’m ok with that decision. Just want to point out that to the owner that you have a very uncaring and mouthy employee who provides the first impression of your services in a very negative light and I might not be the only customer you lose today or will continue to lose in the future. Sounds like there have been others with similar comments about her behavior and I don’t see where you have provided them a response to make her accountable for that business aspect of your operation.
The lead technician is knowledgeable but the mechanics that actually do the work on my vehicle cannot get the job done. I have brought my vehicle in multiple different occasions for multiple different repairs and every single time they have not repair the item the first time. I will now be going in my third time for my air-conditioning . Even though the work was just completed, I have to wait another two weeks to get my vehicle again, that is ridiculous. I like the guy running the operation there but I need my vehicle fixed in a timely fashion. I do not know of A good shop in Maplevalley but if someone else does please post your suggestion. I have a diesel Ford truck
One of their punky young workers speeding through their parking lot nearly hit me, then yelled at me for pulling up next to the door to pick up my wife. (There was nowhere else to wait; their lot was full.) The manager did call later to apologize. Good mechanics; too bad one guy can ruin the experience.
Dishonest. Quoted me 2 hours for a 1 hour job (I know the industry and every other shop quoted 1 hour for the same job).I called a bunch of local shops in the area today and this was by far the worst experience. Dishonest, rude and clearly trying to price gouge customers.
This place is amazing they were fast and afordable
They are amazing here. I highly recommend!!!
Glenn and the crew are awesome! Excellent work at a fair price!
Great place for car repairs.
I would not bring my car anywhere else. They are knowledgable, friendly, and professional!
One of the best shops Ive used! They know their stuff and the work is done right.
Helped me when my car died. Gave a quote and repaired my car to get me going again!
Im surprised at the negative reviews...Ive had nothing but good experiences with these folks. Theyve come in well under other, less reliable, shops with the actual cost, and have never needed to exceed the original estimate. Sometimes there is a wait, but thats because a lot of people bring their cars there!
Great service and friendly staff.
Not just a fuel stop, Eric and his guys will take care of your automotive needs.
Best shop in the world
Great service.
Great customer service!!
Honest and fix correctly
Always like these guys.
Horrible service.
Friendly & clean!!
